My husband and I are wine lovers and I can't believe I didn't know about this hidden gem until last night! You can go here for a romantic date, a girlfriends' night out, or with a big group of friends. The atmosphere definitely takes you to Italy, classy but original. The food is soooo tasty and their Sandwich bread is imported from Italy. Their wine verity is huge and we got 4 bottles and all of them were great! The owner, Edward is very knowledgeable and you can feel his love for wine through his master recommendations, Rachel and Emily are very attentive, kind and sweet! We felt that we are part of their family and enjoyed our night to the max. They also have a backyard area that you ca book for your parties and events!!! Definitely will go back and take more friends. Do yourself a favor and go try, you won't regret!

This is a lovely place to get lunch and drink wines! We went during lunch time, their menu had italian sandwiches, salads, and appetizers like bruschetta. Everything was delicious! (And this is coming from someone who lived in Italy for a while) Everyone was also really friendly and welcome, they gave us a little tour of the place because they're also a retail wine shop. It's a worth a stop by for a peaceful lunch if you're in the area!

El Vino & Spirits is an absolute gem in La Canada! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels cozy, welcoming & perfect for a relaxing evening. The owner, Edward, and his wife, Rachelle, are beyond accommodating and graciously stayed open after hours so that a large group of us working/busy moms could escape for a few hours and enjoy our "Moms Night Out". Now that says A LOT! The curated wine selection is very impressive, featuring old & new world, thoughtfully selected bottles from around the world and Edward's expertise shines through with every recommendation. We tried a variety of bottles; Bodegas El Nido was a red blend that we truly enjoyed, along with a few bottles of the Chateau La Rabotine Sancerre. And if you are Rose kind of a gal, I recommend the Veuve Clicquot Brut for some bubbly that went perfectly with their Bari & Sienna salads. We all loved how personable our experience felt; this hidden gem is the kind of place where you can unwind, enjoy quality wine and feel genuinely taken care of. Thank you for having us after hours, much appreciated. Highly recommend for date nights or catching up with friends. I can't wait to return!

It was a pleasure hosting my cousin's birthday at this beautiful restaurant. We had so much fun, cozy ambiance, delicious food, excellent service and just a memorable evening with good friends.

Beautiful ambiance for a weekend brunch on a quiet street. This place is well done and a different feel compare to all the other wine bars in LA. The wine collection in grand and the food takes you back to Italy. Highly recommend!

In Vino and Spirits is La Cañada's hidden gem! The selection is incredible--whether you're looking for a special bottle of wine, a unique craft spirit, or even something local you won't find at the bigger chains, they've got it. And the salads and sandwiches are the best in town. The owner, Edward, is not only knowledgeable but genuinely friendly and excited to bring you a unique and memorable experience. If you live nearby (or even if you don't), this place will not disappoint.

The food is delicious--simple, high-quality ingredients that speak for themselves, especially the bread (imported from Italy, of course). It's crisp, warm, and holds the sandwich together like a quiet masterpiece--neither dry nor soggy, just perfectly balanced. The atmosphere feels like a little slice of Tuscany tucked into the city. The patio and seating near the open French doors are especially lovely--bright, airy, and almost heavenly when the sunlight pours in. It's the kind of place where time slows down just enough to savor the moment. The staff and owners are welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. One of the owners is a sommelier, and you could easily spend an hour just talking wine and learning something new. Perfect for solo sips, cozy dates, catching up with friends, or hosting something special. I absolutely loved it.

Top quality and delicious food. Had dinner and wine. Best Italian around this area! Wine was also very good although pricey. Will go again!

Waiter Manuel. This…read moreis a review reflected on you, solely. Being kind is the moral of the story, from the beginning you were passive agressive with your comments and tone. Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.

We had been to this small quaint and beautiful little restaurant in Montrose before and wanted to try it again. We loved their little Spanish style courtyard, the tapas, paellas, and the setting felt so good for little date night after being away for so long. Unfortunately things did not go as planned. We made reservations for 7:15pm and were hardly even greeted by the hostess that seemed she'd rather be elsewhere then to welcome us to Casa Cordoba. Problem was though even after setting the reservation time and arriving exactly at 7:15pm we weren't seated for 15min even though we saw our table being cleaned and set and just sit there unoccupied for over 15min. So we waited. When we finally sat down...our server didn't come by for another 10-15min. But we were patient and we waited. Alvin finally came -- brought us water and opened the wine we brought. A special one for this type of occasion (corkage fee was $30). We ordered the paella with squid ink and seafood since it takes up to 45min to prepare and sat down to enjoy the wine and take in the setting. That night they had live music -- a guy on an acoustic guitar playing some cool songs, from Maroon 5 to Backstreet Boys on a 12 string...at least it was live. It was pleasant. The server didn't attend to us much and just had an air about him. Idk -- they may have been super busy but wasn't sure. Finally the paella came. It was...good. Not plentifully. 7-8mussels, a quarter of an octopus tentacles, and a couple of calamari. If you're thinking that much it and rice then you're right. It was mainly rice. No vegetables accompanying it but that's the dish. That was $57 for the small version. I've made paella before. It takes time and it's a production -- but at least at home I can make one for half that price for 8 people. Maybe that's why we don't go out so often bc it ends sometimes like this. We expect a nice meal, a welcoming host or hostess, a server who enjoys the food and atmosphere and makes us feel at home, and food that we could never prepare at home. It's suppose to be an experience that you are happy to pay for. This wasn't. We were disappointed and just felt like wanting to leave. The last straw was when I signed the check on a toast machine and asked for the printed copy. The server, Alvin just left the toast machine with us and left -- attending to others and leaving us with this machine. All I wanted at the end was a thank you for dining with us and the printed copy. We had to flag another server for that copy. He eventually came, with disdain written all over and just handed me the copy, as if I had taken his time to get my the receipt which I asked. That pretty much did it. I asked to speak with the manager and was told--"oh sure. I can get him--he's the chef, give me a minute." I was floored!! No wonder!!! The chef. The back of house manager is also the front of house manager!! That says a lot. You're front of house and your guests are not being taken care of? What kind of restaurant is this? With these prices? Regardless that was it. We left -- had some great ice cream and spoke about the whole experience all the way back home. Great date night eh? Not returning.

Customer service was excellent. One of the bartenders spent time chatting with us.
