Love this place! The food is pretty good but the service could get very slow depending on how busy it is. I came for Christmas Eve so they had a Christmas Eve Menu if you wanted to get something from there. My favorite from here is their Gnocchi with Pink Sauce. It's super flavorful and filling even though there is a small amount. It is pretty pricey but the food is great! It is perfect for a cute date night or a family meal for a celebration/ or just to relax! The tiramisu was a little disappointing to me sadly and did not stand out. Service was impeccable. The staff polite and friendly. We dined early to avoid crowds. The Caesar salad was fresh and delicious and large enough for two to share. The soup that day was cream of asparagus. What was a fabulous creation was slightly marred by oversalting of the soup. It was served nice and hot. Entree portions are generous. The tiny clams in the linguine with clam sauce tasted either frozen or canned. There was sand in the tiny bites and they did not bear the sweet, fresh taste and plumpness of the clams I have had elsewhere. I would add chopped Italian parsley to the dish for more flavor and color as is the custom in the traditional dish. I had never before tried linguine and clams, so I went out to Montrose to try it for the first time. Divina Cucina has officially gotten me hooked on that dish. The pasta was fresh and perfectly al dente. The clams were also very fresh, and there were so many of them! The sauce was absolutely delicious, light yet flavorful. The servers bring a huge block of Parmesan to your table and will grate as much as you want. Other recommendations of delicious dishes I've tried at this restaurant: - carpaccio - Sea bass - gnocchi I love their little outdoor patio, with heat lamps and sweet decor. From start to finish, everything was perfection but what really made our night was our fantastic server, Alfredo. He was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. This time, we sat in the inside dining area. Immediately welcomed by the staff, who once again took really good care of us. Nacho assisted us and he was fantastic...service is really excellent! DRINKS: Started with a couple cocktails off of the "Artisanal Cocktail" list, which are still $17. This time we tried a Classic Lemondrop, and a Negroni. Both were well made. We also added a glass of La Crema Chardonnay ($12), which was a good pour. FOOD: The menu is extensive, as well as a list of "daily specials". To start, we received a complimentary breadbasket, in addition to toast points with olive tapenade. For our entrées, we had the Pollo Milanese ($28), topped with arugula, thinly sliced baby artichokes, and shaved pecorino cheese; the Pollo alla Parmigiana ($28), which had a beautifully, crispy crust and loaded with melted, gooey mozzarella cheese; and Pasta di Mare Special ($38), loaded with seafood over spinach linguini. Portions are big, and we had enough to take home for a second meal. We finished it all off by sharing a slice of Cheesecake ($12) with a strawberry sauce...delicious! We ordered some wine off of the recommendation of Alfredo, our waiter, and it synced perfectly with our meals. The bruschetta was especially good. The fried cheese was unique. Like a large triangle of cheese, fried up. It was good, but too much in my opinion. Better to have bitesize chunks. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana with veggies. It came with a few pieces of zucchini and purple mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a bit weird, not much flavor. Thanks to a UYE with Yelp friends in August, 2023, I thought I found one of the best places for Italian food in SoCal. Back for dinner with close work friends recently, and my excitement for Divina Cucina has been confirmed! 5 stars!!!!! Divina Cucina has amazing, delicious food, and I will definitely be back pretty soon. You cannot go wrong with the Filetto Gorgonzolla, the Pollo alla Parmigiana, or the Pasta di Mare (which was one of their specials on both trips I dined). The Angus beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection, a succulent medium-rare perfectly complimented by a rich and yummy Gorgonzolla sauce. The Chicken Parm was as cheesy-goodness delicious if you're not into beef; it was accompanied by perfectly cooked al dente pasta. Last but not least, if you're feeling like seafood, the seafood pasta offers a pasta with a rich sauce with a mound of delectable clams, mussels, salmon, and squid. Both group of Yelp friends at the UYE and my group of close work friends greatly enjoyed their meals, and I am so looking forward to coming back to try out other dishes from the really extensive menu. Equally impressive as the food at Divina Cucina is the staff. From the moment you step inside, you're not just a guest; you feel like a regular or even family. The staff is very super welcoming and friendly. Our server in particular had an amazing sense of humor and guided us through the extensive offerings in the menu. The food and staff at Divina Cucina makes this restaurant worthy of 5 stars, even though parking is very limited. Only a limited number parallel parking spots that winds around the restaurant is available, and if the restaurant is busy, chances are that you'll have to look for street parking. No valet service is available. What can I say that hasn't already been mentioned by my favorite Yelpers? Not much, but I'll give it a try! A few weeks ago, our group of about 20 Yelp friends descended on Divina Cucina for our own unofficial Yelp dinner. Not every restaurant can manage such a large group, let alone with the efficiency and poise that the staff here provided. Truly, I cannot emphasize enough how phenomenal the service was here at Divina Cucina! Our waiters were friendly and attentive, and they handled our large group with ease. As incredible as the service was, the food was even better. A few of us decided to share a salad, Margherita pizza, and the gnocchi fritti. The few times I've tried gnocchi, it was always tougher than I would have liked. But here, the gnocchi was absolute perfection - cooked in a spicy arrabiata sauce, each bite was soft, chewy, and flavorful. I was amazed by how delicious the dish was. The pizza was excellent as well, and the salad was a healthy addition to round out our meal. Bottomline, I had an amazing evening with good friends and great food. Lovely night here with some friends - the pollo della casa was delicious and very filling...I ate every bit of that protein! The drink, a mojito, was perfect after the drive through DTLA. We sat in a covered patio area that had doors and windows open so it was very temperate without being chilly. The servers were nice, and the restaurant busy. Parking, of course, slightly challenging, but I found a spot in the alley behind the restaurant where there are also a few spots. It was time for another UYE friends get together and Divina Cucina was the place. The lovely owner Lucia graciously said she could accommodate us, even though Friday is one of their busiest nights. Managing a party of 20 isn't easy but Alfredo & Nacho did a great job of taking care of us and other members of the staff made sure water was refilled and baskets of fresh bread were replenished. Established in 1996, Divina Cucina has a cozy covered patio and a charming dining room. In addition to complimentary bread (served with olive oil & balsamic) we were also treated to an amuse-bouche of toasted bread topped with olive tapenade to enjoy while we waited for our drinks. I ordered the French Pear Martini, which was light and refreshing and much needed after my hectic day. The menu features a variety of Cal-Fusion dishes. There were so many delicious options to choose from. Five of us shared the Giadinera Salad, Margherita Pizza, & Gnocchi Fritti. I'm picky when it comes to Italian food because I was grew up eating amazing home cooked meals by my grandpa and mom. The gnocchi were perfectly cooked. Slightly dense but soft & chewy and the spicy arrabbiata sauce was fantastica! The pizza was also exceptionally good. The crust was crispy on the outside and soft & chewy inside. You could tell they use fresh, quality mozzarella because it was melty with just the right amount of stretch! The salad also did not disappoint and provided a nice balance to the heartier dishes. We didn't order dessert because Auntie Nadine was sweet enough to bake a cake for our darling Birthday girl Delia. Shout out to Te-See for finding this gem of a place and organizing our get together. I haven't been to Divina Cucina in quite a long time. First experiences were maybe 10 years ago? Maybe more? We were never impressed, service wasn't very good and maybe that left a bad taste in my mouth. At least, that's what I remeber- so we never came back. But on a whim, my wife, and a friend and I walked in and grabbed a table on a Thursday night (4/17/25) because the brand new restaurant (Sabrina's Pizzeria) was booked. My wife was excited to see an eggplant parmigiana on the menu and that intrigued me, and we were both going to order it - but it wasn't on MY menu. The waiter informed us that she had the wrong (old) menu. So that was a disappointment right off the bat and my expectations of a better experience wasn't very good. Well, let me tell ya... I can't wait to go back! After the menu mix-up, I decided to try, what I think now is, the best Spaghetti I've ever had. There are three on the menu and I chose: Spaghetti con Polpette Wow. The meat sauce was spectacular. I'm generally not a thick sauce kinda guy, and I like to see my noodles. But wow, that sauce was incredible. I couldn't stop talking about it. You literally could pile on another plate of noodles and have two dishes the sauce was so generous. And it was I N C R E D I B L E ! ! ! My friend had the Spaghetti Bolognese and she LOVED IT. My wife chose the Lasagna alla Napoletana and she LOVED IT!!! A glass of Merlot from up north and I'm telling you, I was so happy with this visit I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK! I made a reservation for 20 people 2 weeks ago for a Friday night. The owner, Lucia, was very accommodating and I promised to reconfirm a few days before which I did with her daughter in-law, Kelly. Lobster ravioli is one of my all time favorite dishes and I've been searching the LA area for a good one - it's been surprisingly scarce on local menus but I hit the jackpot here. Their portions are huge - and their lobster ravioli is filling and comforting - sauce is a perfect balance of tomato and cream and it compliments the generous lobster filling - top it off with their quality Parmesan and it's heaven! Everyone else really enjoyed their food too - notable plates were the Cioppino, Pasta di Mare special, and the salmon special. Also, they bring out complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic which was fabulous, as well as some bread pieces with a nice tapenade and cheese - a great way to start our meal. The service here really is exceptional. We were celebrating a bday of one of our party members and they let us bring our own cake (shout out to @NadineC for baking on your vacation waaat??!!) - they even gave us plates and cutlery - really made sure we enjoyed ourselves and had everything we needed. The location in near the cute little walkable area of Montrose. It's a bit far for me, but the food was so good that I'll definitely be back - no doubt! Parking is a bit of an issue - they have very few spaces around the sides - but they also have a few in the back that no one seemed to be using - probably bc to access them you have to go around the corner to the right and turn down the first alley you come to. Dinner in Montrose, California... Our Yelp family enjoys dining together, and Divina Cucina was the perfect place to gather! Te-See found this quaint, cozy restaurant which was purchased by Lucia, the new owner, about a year ago. We were thrilled that this small business was able to accommodate our large party of 20 people on the patio. (I didn't look inside the main restaurant.) Unfortunately, life happens, and two guys couldn't join us... Total party of 18. Nacho was our competent, patient server! He was professional and efficient. The server on our second table was Alfredo - he was also excellent! The team of two helped each other out along with the busboy who brought us extra dessert plates, napkins, and forks for the birthday cake that we brought in. Note: Our check was split by tables The free parking that surrounded the building wasn't enough for our group. Due to traffic from the Rose Bowl and an accident nearby, some streets were closed off and caused delays in our arrival. Some of us found parking in the residential area about a block away. When Nacho was sharing the Specials of the Day with us, the Salmon topped with Mushrooms and Shrimp sounded different, so I ordered it. Wow... The slightly tart seasoning was captivating... I wanted to figure out what it was, so I ate more! Haha! The Salmon was tender and moist! I liked the sautéed vegetables that enhanced the dish!
