The office is well-decorated and cozy with accent walls and aesthetically-pleasing black and white photos of people with ridiculously white teeth. They have complimentary fruit and drinks (orange juice, green tea, water, etc.), free yummy chapstick, and of course your obligatory floss and toothpaste. The exam/cleaning rooms all have nice, big windows, so you can look out the window or watch TV while you are having work done, your choice. Also, you have the option of dipping your hands in a paraffin wax bath for a nice hand treatment as you get your teeth done. Absolutely genius ... I mean, if you're sitting there for an extended period of time anyway, why not? Everyone I interacted with there was very pleasant, but, most importantly, honest. Dr. Alber has a very frank, here's-how-it-is personality, which I really appreciated. He told me I should consider having my wisdom teeth out in the near future, and when I admitted that I thought I would be doing that on my next visit to Peru, he encouraged me. "Heck, they can do it for a lot cheaper than I can -- and they have good dentists!" he said. When I was at Pearl Street Dental last summer, 4 things happened. 1 good and 3 bad:…read more I'll start with the good because everybody in there is actually really nice: Good - I had 4 cavities filled without any real pain and was probably the most "comfortable" I could imagine being while getting cavities filled... Will never go to a dentist that uses drills again. Now with that being said, a lot of bad stuff happened that will prevent me from returning: 1) I have had serious pain on one of molars on the lower right side while eating since the procedure. I do not/cannot chew on my right side and will have to get root canal/fake tooth in the coming months. I went to get a second opinion from my dentist at home about the pain and he told me that he was very skeptical that I would have needed all 4 fillings. He had taken x rays 4 months prior that only showed 2 cavities - i could not get them filled at the time because I was moving back to Boulder that week. The tooth in pain is one he identified as not needing a filling... 2) Dr. Higgins accidentally burned a hole in my bib before the procedure started. FYI Dr Higgins uses a laser rather than a drill to remove decaying parts of tooth. It helps a lot for pain, but come on... you can't burn holes through your patients drool bib and shirt not knowing that your laser is on... that's Dr Evil type stuff. 3) I was charged twice for the first two fillings I had (the four fillings were across two separate days) - even after I tried telling the receptionist I had already paid. Jenny was on vacation at the time so I had to go back and show to somebody else in the office the multiple charges on my credit card. Obviously it got fixed, but it took 3 weeks to get almost $3000 back when I tried explaining that I had already paid for the first session in full... really, really put a strain on my financial situation as a recent college grad. Overall, terrible experience as a dentist. Would gladly go to happy hour with anybody in the office, but certainly will not let them anywhere near my teeth again.

I came here as a 31 year old whose enamel eroded due to poor care and uncontrolled GERD both which…read moreabsolutely wrecked my teeth. I was told that the best option would be to prep and crown every single tooth. Dr. Chae is truly remarkable. His craft and precision are SECOND TO NONE. This entire practice is elite. I know this because I'm a son of a dentist and I can confidently say that this practices the most elite practice that I've ever experienced in my long history of dental care. Dr. Chae crowned every tooth and my smile looks real to the extent that people have complimented me on my teeth not knowing that what they are seeing are actually crowns. I went from an eroded, shortened teeth due to grinding and ended up with a genuinely beautiful smile that sincerely looks 100% real. I have increased my dental hygiene to the extent that I have a water pick and toothbrush at work after I eat lunch. I am so happy with my smile that I want it to last as long as possible as I am 31 and presumably have a lot of life ahead of me. I feel confident in the longevity of the total mouth rehabilitation given the extreme detail that Dr. Chae practices (he redid what was supposed to be an original final crown because they were not exactly how he wanted them to be at no extra cost, but just because of his demanding of perfection to the extent that is possible). It was a long process, the full mouth rehabilitation took around 15 visits over 6 months of multiple sets of temporary crowns, each improving on the last. I would trust Dr. Chae with my mouth forever because I know that he simply demands perfection and I have responded to his enthusiasm by implementing a strict floss 2x daily, waterpick 3x daily, brush 3x daily because I want my mouth to look exactly how it does now for as long as possible. I am confident that this rehabilitation will last a very long time given my new dental hygiene routine. If anything were to change, I would only go to Dr. Chae and this practice. There are several prosthodontists and their performance I can tell is similarly detail oriented, and elite. But given the fact that Dr. Chae completely rehabilitated my mouth, I would go nowhere else. I supremely recommend this practice more than five stars. It is as top notch as you can get. I can confidently say that if I were a patient, I would trust Dr. Chae's treatment plan and work over anybody else. I am very grateful to the practice and I was extremely warmly received and I will never forget how good of an experience I had at this place.
