Was in the mood for an açaí bowl so we pulled off the highway to stop at this food truck. We decided to try a few snacks as well, so we ordered a chicken pastel cup and yucca fries. Everything came out fresh & delicious. It was a little on the pricier side, however I am happy to pay when the ingredients are quality and the food is fresh. The pastels were light and airy, and the sauce that came with them was delicious (only complaint is I think they could be more generous with the sauce). The yucca fries were very good as well. Açaí bowl was the perfect consistency. I've never tried powder milk in an açaí bowl, but it worked! It was such a perfect stop for snacks on the way to the river, will definitely stop by next time we're passing through. read more

Pastel Cup - Beef: Beef was well seasoned, a little too much cheese in my opinion it took away from the seasoned beef, but loved the flaky dough and the sauce. Plain Churros: super light, not greasy - highly recommend. Doce de Leite Latte. Why haven't I heard of this place sooner? Saw someone post about this on Instagram last week so I made it my mission to try it out! Right now they're a food truck that travels to different locations around town. Check out their Instagram story to see if they're coming near you sometime soon. We got the Yuca Fries & Doce Leite Churro cup. Both were absolutely delicious! I like that they had special dips (that wasn't ketchup lol) for the fries! It gave more of a unique experience. Although I liked the Doce Leite, some of my family thought it was too sweet for them. It's filled with a caramel&condensed milk taste, so if you're usually not a fan of that, I recommend trying one of the other options they have! I've heard a lot about their savory snacks! Unfortunately there's not many options for vegetarians aside from the yuca fries. I'd still go here, but more for dessert or when I want fries lol. Got the luxury of having the food truck come to my residence, and I'm so glad they did. This place was amazing and the staff was even more incredible. We were offered water for having to wait while they cooked our stuff FRESH. Every question or food allergy issue I had was answered without hesitation and they didn't make me feel awkward or like a hassle. The Coxhina (unsure about spelling) balls were so good. They were stuffed with some type of chicken mixture and super flavorful. They also had the coolest STUFFED churros which were hands down the best churros we have ever had. This wonderful Brazilian food truck was sitting outside my apartment complex when I got home, so I decided to give them a try and they did not disappoint! The food was delicious! I tried the Beef Pastel and the Doce de Leite churros and let me just say they were both amazing! I will not pass this truck up if I see them again. For starters, the food is all homemade. The beef pastels came with two delicious sauces and the filling is perfectly seasoned and portioned. The churros I got were filled with the doce de leite and topped with cinnamon sugar They must have had one spare Oreo churro because one of the guys asked if I wanted to try the Oreo churro and, I don't know who would ever turn down that offer, but I certainly did not. We were fortunate to have this food truck brought to our apartment complex in Kyle. The food was phenomenal and the customer service was great. I had been searching for some Pastels and I can finally say that I will take a trip to New Braunfels whenever that craving hits again. I bought the beef and chicken and both were equally delicious. The green olives in the beef Pastel's weren't so overwhelming like other Pastels or empanadas I have had. They tend to be more olives than beef. The chicken was shredded so thin that each bite was balanced with the cheese that was inside. The pastry shell was so flakey and light. The red dipping sauce that is made with chilies but not spicy was such a wonderful accompaniment. If he offers it to you TAKE IT! You get three nice sized Pastels in each cup. It was perfect after a long day at work with no lunch. I also highly recommend purchasing their Churros. They are bite sized pastry of full awesomeness. I am not too experimental when it comes to Churros, especially if it is the first time ordering so I stuck with the standard plain. They were light and fluffy and had just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. I am glad I only purchased a small cause the amount of mini Churros that filled that cup was perfect. Lastly, don't sleep on their coffees. I purchased an iced InCup Latte, which definitely rivaled the cold brews out there with just a bit more flavor. Something tells me that although it hit the spot, I won't be getting to sleep anytime soon. If you ever get a chance to visit or find yourself in New Braunfels, look them up. SO. GOOD. I was headed home after a long day and was hungry and tired. Coffee was my goal and I happened to be passing by here. I ordered chicken pastels and a Dulce de Leche oat milk latte. It did not disappoint! I waited a few minutes and my hot, fresh food and drink were ready! I'm a coffee snob and that latte was worth going back.
