We stopped by Orange Leaf today--it's usually a decent experience, nothing extraordinary, but it hits the spot. However, today's visit was disappointing. Around 5:51 PM, I pointed out that some of the fruit on the toppings bar was clearly overripe and starting to rot. The younger employee on shift responded with visible attitude, rolled her eyes, and said, "I didn't do it," in a condescending tone. Even after I pointed it out again, she remained disengaged and dismissive. While it later appeared she may have texted someone for guidance, the lack of initiative and poor customer service stood out. A little courtesy and professionalism go a long way. The teachable moment here is simple: be polite, take initiative, and look for a solution--not excuses. read more

All of the no -dairy frozen yogurts were out of service. There was rotten strawberries in the toppings option. I told the girl working there she didn't say anything, I said it again thinking she didn't hear me and she just looked at me with an "I know and I don't care look". Will absolutely not come back to have frozen yogurt here. Customer service not good and serving rotten items. They can probably get away with it cause parents don't pay attention when most kids are adding their toppings. Barf! read more

The girls who work here, I understand are in what I believe to be high school. However, they need to learn manors. After going about 20 times, my experience is never great. The girls who work there are rude, unhelpful, and need some training in customer service. I had to tell one of the girls, it was absolutely inappropriate to talk about a customer, in a negative, and degrading way, when they are in an ear shot away. The employee preceded to laugh and say, whatever "old lady" mind you I'm in my 30's. When I asked for a manager, a girl of equal age walked over and was equally unhelpful, and refused to give me her name while covering her name badge. Whoever is the manager of this store, as a fellow business owner, do better. Teach these ladies better. Other than that the froyo is normally good, but it definitely makes me not want to go when I've had such awful experiences. read more

I love frozen yogurt, but New Braunfels doesn't have my favorite FroYo place, so Orange Leaf has to do! I feel that the flavor of their FroYo is more subtle than others. Not bad, just not my favorite. They do have a nice variety of toppings, and right now the employees are serving, no self serve. Just visually I think the inside would look cleaner if it were tidier. I think the way they have tables/chairs blocking the toppings bar (I assume for "safer distance") just looks so sloppy. Also the tables stacked up could look tidier. read more

I'm a pretty big fan of frozen yogurt and in my hometown of New Braunfels Texas there are two options when it comes to satisfying this need. We have Orange Leaf which is the review your reading now and then we also have another establishment called Peachwave. they're both amazing in their own rights and their offerings are pretty amazing. I have yet to pick my favorite of the two that's why I'm kind of combining this review I go back and forth between the two more often than people change their socks. they are so similar in some ways and so different in others it's amazing but they are both great. before I go into more detail I am going to say that if you are in the mood for ice cream / frozen yogurt definitely try one of the two they're both truly amazing. Strictly talking about Orange Leaf at this point :-) I love orange Leaf's system of multiple size containers and I absolutely love they're spoons, I know you're thinking to yourself that must be a typo the spoons is he really talking about spoons here... the answer is yes I love their spoons. I also believe but could be wrong they have what I feel to be more fresh fruit toppings than their counterparts which is great for kids and Health nuts but when I go to eat ice cream / frozen yogurt I'm thinking the more carbs the better :-) Why 4 stars and not 5: On our second to last visit one of my kids spilled there yogurt and even though the 1 employee behind the counter was doing absolutely nothing didn't bother to assist us in cleaning up the mess or even ask us if we needed assistance, hell she didn't even offer us napkins to clean up the mess. and that Cost them a whole star. Love this place! It's always super clean and the chick that is normally there goes along with my husband's cheesy jokes. They are also open until 10pm which is awesome for the area. Regarding the thing about not having sample cups out for people to just take, I think that it may be a health code violation and to get around it they have an employee administer your sample. I know that the New Braunfels health department is very strict and on top of things. Regarding the parking, they have a back door that remains open during business hours so just park in the lot and open the door. Otherwise you can go around to the front door and enjoy the calming water features. I love their flavors. Sometimes the swirled combos are a little weird but you can always get them separate. The only topping I wish they had was peanut butter sauce. Their toppings are always fresh and the staff make sure to keep the topping area very clean. read more

As a Fro-yo addict (check my list) I'm going to do this shop a service and provide some tips on how they can remain in business past the next 12-18 months. As it currently stands I don't see them making it longer than that, and i think there is enough potential to make a go of it. Here's what I would consider changing: - Overly sweet. This yogurt is over the top too sweet, I felt sick after eating it. Usually I feel better after eating fro-yo. Additionally, there are no nutritional details on the yogurt which is suspect - I hope there isn't HFCS being used as a sweetener, but I fear there might be. - Flavors are way, way off. Pistachio tasted like white chocolate (and it was white), the oreo tasted like a very sweet and carmely dulce de leche, the red velvet was just like eating sugar cane. I honestly thought someone had moved all the flavor signs from April 1 as a joke. The peanut butter and chocolate were ok, but all the other flavors were not close to what they were labeled. - Pricing - .45 an ounce, really? Most places are .39 in Austin and are putting out better product. - Samples - just give me a tiny cup or two, no need to have the worker fill them for me. - The logo is not easy to read from I-35 - I can't make out the Orange Leaf logo. You are the only fro-yo stand between Austin and San Antonio that I have seen - make it clear to recognize at 75 mph. - Location - The location of this shop makes no sense. When you find the shop and park near it, you park in the back of the shop and enter from the rear while the front faces an empty field. It's not super close to the theater or big box stores either. If this were my store it would be between the Target and Best Buy as they have the most traffic and presence. The location is irritating when there are better spots still vacant. I think this place has potential and I don't mean to sound harsh. You could do all but the move with some small tweaking but right now the flavors and the sweetener is so off that I wouldn't return unless those were adjusted. read more

I loved the yogurt here. I did think it was a little pricey and I would have prefered the option of choosing a smaller cup to put it in. They only have one size cup which I guess works to their benefit in hoping you over-indulge. I craved the little juice balls they had as a topping for days after eating this yogurt. It was great. The parking is awkward as one reviewer said, but truthfully, that whole shopping center is awkward. I am sure the Orange Leaf people thought they would pull business from the sandwich shop (which will be another review) and the movie theater by picking this location. While I do love Orange Leaf, this is my least favorite location. The best one in my opinion is at the Rim in San Antonio. This location has weird parking, is hard to find, and utilizes the old orange leaf logo on their signage which is super hard to decipher from up close let alone the freeway. Their employees insist on serving up the samples for you which is something I have never experienced at any of their other locations. If they are busy it makes it a huge inconvenience. Their fruit toppings here are sometimes canned...gross. Other locations have strictly fresh fruit. All in all, don't judge orange leaf by this location. read more

As far as Orange Leaf goes, it's as expected. The low review comes from their choice of flavors. If you like the vanilla, chocolate, and cheesecake, you will beer OK going here. If you are looking for any of the cake flavors or cookies and cream - you'll be lucky to be able to get it once a year. The last four times I've been, no cakes (wedding, birthday, red velvet, corner pieces, etc.) or cookies and cream. And the last time I was there, the cookies and cream was in a dispenser that was not working. I realize there's a lot of flavors, but there's also a lot of cake flavors too. From now on, we will drive across town and go to the one off of Hwy 46......where they always have cake! read more

First let me say love the frozen yogurt. The problem is the staff is not trained. I have been ill and my husband went up there to get me a cheesecake and strawberry swirled yogurt in a waffle cone. The worker told him she never heard of swirling the two flavors (it's the handle in the middle)also she said they no longer have waffle cones. I had to coach my husband through the steps of using the machine. Then the worker disappeared. He was so upset by the time he got home and now will never go back up there! !! Please train your staff. Please have two people working at a time. I know that place is bringing in the cash. People pay a lot for your yogurt give them great service. read more

I was very pleased with the friendly service at this location. A young man named Marshall was working and he greeted everyone with a warm and sincere smile. He checked on customers as the sat and enjoyed their delicious frozen treats. He walked around and cleaned tables and checked on machines and said goodbye to everyone as they left. I don't know why anyone would say that the yogurt at Orange Leaf is too sweet or that the flavors are way off. I am not an ice cream fan, but the yogurt here is sooooo good. The flavors are great. My favorites are pomegranate and tart, great combination. The coffee and confetti cake are my husband's. This is a great place for yogurt and sitting and chatting with friends. I hope you give it a chance. There are 2 locations now in New Braunfels, one off 46 across from the new HEB and the other off N 35 in front of the new Target.
