When we checked in the wait was 30 minutes which wasn't a problem since they had an area you could order food and drinks. While we were waiting we ordered two cocktails and a quick appetizer which was the sausage bites. They give you a pretty good amount. Not too filling but just enough to have something in your stomach. The drinks were good too. After we sat for about 25 minutes it was our time to golf. You can bring your drinks with you while you golf as well. The atmosphere was such a chill vibe, all the holes had a different area and it was really like you were in an old hotel. My boyfriend and I had a blast and we couldn't recommend this place enough for a date night.

They have the trackman which gives you data on the left like impact video, which shows you the ball route and the impact on the head. It's great for practices! You can book bays with your membership for an hour! It is very worthwhile! I was also surprised to see high top chairs as well at each bay for viewing and resting! Super impressed! They have really good sales on tennis, pickleball, and golf clothes and shoes!! The clearance section had shoes at $40! The building is a beautiful Arts and Crafts/Shingle Style building that was originally used as a school and meeting house/town hall. It is now the main club house for the GPRA. I personally join the pool each summer as it provides me with an escape from the daily grind. There are three pools. An adult, kids, and wading pool. There are nice gas grills and a raised sun deck. Bathrooms with showers are also provided for pool users. You can even bring a cooler of cold adult beverages! The clubhouse is nicely landscaped and kept up on the outside but lacks central air conditioning and is thus always hot in the summer. It is available for private parties for members. Membership is relatively affordable and rates ban be seen on line. There is also a swim team called the Dolphins. It is both child and adult friendly. Many 20 and 30 something singles hang out by the adult pool and there is a festive party atmosphere on weekends, the pools are even open until 10pm on Saturday. Single membership is a one time fee of $350 and a family membership one time initiation is $580.

Not worth it. Wouldn't even join on a pool membership if we were to start over because the grill never seems to be open and wifi rarely works. UPDATE: Lowering to 1 star. Last three times we've visited the pool at peak lunch time, the grill has been closed. Their outdoor wifi no longer reaches the pool area. When they rectify these two recurring issues, we'll update the review accordingly. Until then, seek elsewhere.

We booked a suite, and it was incredibly spacious, with a full kitchen, separate living room, bedroom, dressing area, and a large bathroom. Although the rooms looked a little dated in the photos, they were much nicer in person. Everything was clean and comfortable, the bed was great, and the room temperature stayed perfect throughout our stay. If you enjoy historic hotels, this one is definitely worth experiencing. There are two tea blends that are custom to the hotel, the Jefferson blend and the Richmond blend- we tried the Richmond blend, which was very spice-forward and flavorful. The savory tier was pretty standard- we really liked the cucumber and chicken salad sandwiches, the sweet potato biscuit was a little dry and we didn't love the spinach wrap. The tea breads were our favorite from the sweets! We had a strawberry lemon bread and a chocolate bread, they were a little different from what you usually get at tea. There were also some small patisserie treats, like a chocolate covered strawberry and mixed berry cookie. You could add on seasonal cocktail options- we tried and really liked an old fashioned and a summer mimosa. We did a prepaid Tock reservation, which came out to about $60 per person after tax and gratuity. I think the price is very reasonable for what you get, especially in such a lovely environment.
