This is how it worked for us: you drive up onto the scale, they weigh your vehicle and ask what you're recycling, you pay and go to the area of what you're recycling. We backed up and tossed the clean concrete in the pile and then you just drive out. We've also purchased landscape rocks and for this you order the quantity you want at the main warehouse, they give you the receipt and then a worker puts the rock into your truck. An employee just showed up, without calling or scheduling, to see what we had. We showed him the palettes, and some other products we needed destroyed (excess inventory). He tried to (a) walk off with some of the inventory, to "see if there's a market for it" (um, what part of "certificate of destruction" didn't you understand, (b) gave us a hard time about the lack of a loading dock (sorry, office building), and (c) looked over our plugged-in, turned-on computers and asked if he could "take the eWaste." It was, frankly, a weird, creepy experience I do not want to repeat.
