Another unbelievably fantastic place! This was the fourth stop on our April 10, 2021 NJ Distillery Tour. They made us feel very welcome and at home. They have a wide selections of spirits from an Espresso Liqueur to a dark Gin and of course vodka, rum, rye, clear gin and a Bourbon. They make great cocktails with great names like Ginger Roger's, and John Daly that taste very good. You have to make reservations because the place is small. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We will go back once things open up after the pandemic is over and there's less restrictions. Highly recommend you visit!

This was a great little Distillery. The owner showed us all around and spoke about how each spirit is made. The spirits were delicious especially the vodka. Already finished my bottle. Owner was very hospitable. Can't wait to go back.

Everything we got was top notch, and even the starters were delicious. I got a side of collard greens and they were super spicy, just like i like them - just like it's hard to find! I had some of my husband's roast duck sandwich and it was phenomenal. When we go back (and we *will* go back), I will get it again. I had the burnt ends sandwich which was also tasty, and the pimento cheese on it was perfect. The drinks were good! My margarita and Texas ranch water were both refreshing, plus they also offer a bunch of Bald Birds Brewing beers. Fyi, they are the same owners as the brewery, and I have always liked their beer. Overall a great spot and much needed in Havertown.

The bbq platter with half rack ribs, potatoe salad, and Mac and cheese is just giving me great vibes to explore the area. The food was delicious, starting with the cornbread with chai butter moving to the warm Mac and cheese alongside the refreshing potatoes salad and the half ribs with BBQ sauce to wrap it all together all for $30. I'll be taking some home for sure.

Parking is somewhat limited, but there is a large lot across the street. When we were there, a bluegrass band was playing. The bartender was very attentive and spends a lot of time making their creations. For example, the Berry Blast which contains their vodka along with simple syrup, pineapple juice, blackberries and raspberries actually uses quite a bit of real fruit and gets muddled into a tasty cocktail. Most of the prices are in the $10-15 range per drink. I believe you can bring your own food and its possible there may be some food trucks close by.

A huge SHOUTOUT to bartender MAX. He was spectacular, friendly and full of energy. He educated both of us about there Gins. Philadelphia Distilling is one of the first craft distillery in Pennsylvania since Prohibition, known for its award-winning Bluecoat Gin and other so many other spirits, and features a tasting room with a full kitchen, cocktail bar, and tours in a historic Fishtown location. I really appreciate a business that stands by its service, listens to customer feedback, and takes active steps to resolve problems. Changing my rating to reflect their excellent customer recovery and support! I chose Philadelphia Distilling because my husband and I had always enjoyed dining and drinks there. Based on those experiences, it felt like the perfect venue for an important celebration. The venue was beautiful, the drinks were excellent, and the event coordinator was responsive throughout planning. However, several issues during the event left us disappointed, especially given the premium price. The biggest concern was the food quality. The chicken was extremely overcooked and dry, and the hors d'oeuvres were not replenished often enough, leaving some guests unable to try them. Dinner service also started much later than expected, leaving many guests hungry. There were several other issues as well: Dietary Accommodations: A gluten-free hors d'oeuvre was incorrectly labeled as containing gluten, forcing me to personally confirm it was safe for a guest with a gluten allergy. Menu Changes: I had approved an almond substitution for the green beans after being told cashews were unavailable. I was surprised when a salad appeared instead after only a small amount of green beans had been served, without any consultation. Music: Music played during setup but was barely audible once the event began, diminishing the atmosphere. Bar Service: Although we paid for a three-hour open bar, service ended approximately 15 minutes early with no last-call announcement. My husband was unable to order a drink around 7:45 p.m. The coordinator later acknowledged this should not have happened and apologized but offered no remedy. Losing 15 minutes represented nearly 10% of the open-bar service we paid for. Gratuity: A tip jar was displayed despite a 20% gratuity already being included in the contract. We would have appreciated signage clarifying that gratuity had already been paid so guests understood additional tipping was optional. After the event, I shared these concerns with the coordinator. She agreed that several aspects of the event did not meet expectations or Philadelphia Distilling's standards, but no effort was made to address the issues or provide any form of resolution. While the venue, cocktails, and bartender were excellent, the food quality, communication issues, and overall execution fell short of what was promised. I would still recommend Philadelphia Distilling for dining and drinks, but I would not recommend hosting a private event there. Most disappointing was the response afterward: rather than making things right for us, we were simply told these changes would be applied to future clients.

We arrived on a Friday night and the place was buzzing. We were shown upstairs to a high-top window seat at the bar, which ended up being a great perch to take it all in. Our server was friendly and attentive and clearly knew the menu. Pro tip: make a reservation if you want a seat, especially on weekends. There are multiple levels with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to the charm of the space. The cocktail menu leans heavily on seasonal, locally inspired ingredients, and we lucked out by arriving right as they rolled out the winter menu, while still keeping some familiar staples on the list. We started with Granny's Got a Gun, a brown sugar bourbon and coffee liqueur drink, and The See-Through, a clarified citrus vodka cocktail, both well balanced and right on the mark. Next up were the Black Walnut Old Fashioned and Sands of Time, solid drinks overall, though as a bourbon fan I personally wished they leaned a bit more whiskey-forward. We finished the night with Blue Beer, a blueberry bourbon highball riff that leaned more root beer than expected, and their version of an espresso martini, which was easily the best drink of the night. One thing to note, there is no food served here, but you are welcome to bring your own snacks. Pricing is what you would expect for quality craft cocktails in this area. Wildfether works just as well for an intimate night out as it does for a group of friends. This is a great spot for cocktail lovers who enjoy well-made drinks and soaking in the character of a historic space. Definitely worth a visit.
