three takeout containers of rice and beans

My nephew and I wanted to try Indian food for the first time. The owner was super helpful and very generous with portions. Everything tasted amazing great spices and tender meat. They have vegetarian options as well. Everything is made fresh daily if you're in the area and want some tasty food go here. I wish they had seating but will definitely go back

I'm new to the area and I've been checking out the nearby restaurants. Most I'm not that crazy about but this place, wow! The food is incredible. I asked the owner what he recommended and he suggested the chick peas along with some chicken masala. He also added a bit of salad and some type of sauce. It was delicious! He said I wouldn't be disappointed and he was correct. I haven't eaten a lot of Indian food in the past but that's about to change. I will definitely be returning. The food is wonderful and the owner was really nice. I highly recommend.

Small place with a rotating menu. The chicken hariyali was good but what I really LOVED were the chicken masala and chicken 65. I'll never forgive myself for neglecting Indian cuisine for the first three decades of my life!

    Placing order

I went to the newly opened fast food restaurant on a Friday afternoon. Seeing the long line made me feel good about the quality of the food. The menus were easy to read. I had the platter. It came with rice, naan, salad and a choice of 2 entrees. I chose two chicken entres - Smoked Butter Chicken and Chicken Tandoori. They were both very good - right levels of spices and flavor. The platter was excellent value for $8.49. I also had the kheer dessert which again was very satisfying. This is a great lunch time option for St Paul office goers, one that was missing so far.

    Platter

Had to renew my license and had the pleasure of getting lunch here. It was a long wait for the dmv and I needed some lunch. I chatted with who I think was the owner and he was am absolute delight. He made a platter and everything was amazing. The saag was very good and I normally don't like it. The chicken and goat were amazing. Rice was fluffy and awesome. Do yourself a favor and get this food from a good person

Some gross food from a terrible new takeout place.

Every dish we have ordered was outstanding. From the tender, boneless lamb in the Rogan Josh to the incredibly flavorful paneer dishes and the chicken and mushroom in a creamy sauce! We ordered three dishes and naan. The server who took out order was attentive and polite, so we were surprised when the food was delivered in big hurry by someone who all but tossed the dishes onto the table in a big hurry, literally dropping the dish of rice as he raced by - and then they forgot the naan until we later asked for it. The food was not as good as we had hoped it would be, but that might be due to what chose. We tried two street food items, including Panipuri, the small crisp balls with potato filling to which you add flavored water from a small bottle. It's an interesting combination of taste and textures. Also, we ordered a stuffed flatbread with Chana masala, which was less successful because it was not really stuffed naan, but instead plain naan folded in half with some seasonings between the layers and a side of very spicy masala. The most disappointing item was the shrimp curry - we orders medium spice but it was very bland and slightly sweet with the unmistakable flavor of "too-long-on-the-steam-table," the slightly stale flavor that sauces and soups acquire when held too long in the pot near the boiling steam. We would be willing to try again - maybe other choices off the menu would be better.

Our order was ready on time and packaged well. Even though we were just picking up, the staff were attentive and helpful, which I really appreciated. The space itself is also very nice. Clean, well kept, and has a welcoming atmosphere. We started with the veggie samosas and mixed pakoras, and both were amazing. Perfectly cooked with great flavor and really good sauces. For mains, we had the Chicken Makhani (butter chicken) and the Chicken Malabar, and both were so good. Super rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The portions were also very generous. The garlic naan was a standout. Fresh, soft, and perfect for dipping into the sauces. Overall, everything we ordered was delicious and really hit the spot. Great flavors, great portions, and a really easy takeout experience. Definitely a place I would return to for dine in or takeout.

The restaurant itself, if you choose to visit, is very nice and perfect for families/groups or for a romantic evening with your significant other. The service is also pretty decent. But most of all the variety on the menu is pretty vast. But that also means that most of the items are pre-made. But some items like the dosa or bhature have to be made to order and definitely taste much better.

As a vegetarian, I was in heaven at the number of items that I could choose from. Thankfully, my companions were all willing to split dishes, so I could try more than one. We started out with the lentil green onion pancakes. They were don't earth than I had expected. I thought they would be more of a super crispy flat dish, but they have the substance of a real pancake, with savory flavors. Really wonderful. We ordered three entrées, including the jackfruit and the eggplant. The jackfruit was my absolute favorite, but that was not universal. I think it was very well well prepared, but not everyone likes jackfruit and not everyone loves those spices. But it made me so happy. The eggplant dish was pretty good, but the potato two eggplant ratio could be improved. A few too many potatoes and not enough eggplant. Otherwise excellent. The service was fine. The owner did come over and say hello to us afterwards and he was delightful. Another excellent immigrant owned business to support in Minneapolis.
