Food and services was wonderful Stoped in for 1st time trying Nepali food For my 64 birthday with wife and daughter

    Goat Thali

Food was delicious and the service was great. The environment could use some improvement but overall had a great experience and the price was reasonable.

    Chicken Tikka masala

The chai tea was very good on a cool day. The restaurant is pretty sparsely decorated, but very clean. Friendly staff. We went mid afternoon so ordered off the menu. The food was good and generous portions.

    Wonderful buffet

I'm so happy to see this wonderful business opened in the space of the old troubled Stargate nightclub. If you ever saw the inside of that club, you would not even recognize it anymore. They have done such an awesome remodel with the space and have really given the community a great new destination for grocery shopping and wonderful Nepali food at the restaurant. They have a fantastic menu with amazing lamb, pork and chicken curries, biryani rice, and many other fantastic Nepalese dishes. Great vegan options too and an awesome lunch buffet special! You must pay a visit to Groceries & Nepali Kitchen. I think you'll be very happy you did!

    Chicken biryani....HUGE PORTIONS! VERY FLAVORFUL!

This place poped up and I thought I'd give it a try and I was delightfully surprised. Very kind staff and the food is delicious! The prices are also more than fair! I will definitely be making a regular visit to this place! If you've never had Nepalese food, this is the place to get your first taste!!

Just delightful. The veggie thali and masala chai were magical. Unforgettable dining experience. My partner agreed.

I wanted to try more items so ended up getting the goat curry & noodles to-go.

The best banh mi in the state! My goto spot for roast duck & bbq crispy pork ribs & pork belly…read more I can't be in an Asian grocery store long lol I only go here during the off peak times to avoid the long deli line. If I need any Asian grocery items, I usually just have my mom get them for me from a list that I would send her. I am very sensitive to smell and vomit very easily so I try to go in and out of Asian grocery stores as quickly as possible and especially on an empty stomach just in case I do vomit. The raw meat section smell is terrifying at every Asian market I wish it was sectioned far away from the entrance of deli foods. But it's not & they cut the raw meats in the open air (not enclosed or closed door separate room) & the smell lingers into the entire store at every Asian market & just makes me very ill. Luckily, the deli register line is only for the deli so I can just order deli foods and check out in the same line and then I'm out the door.

Love the different produce options here. There's always something delicious to try at Ha Tien. So…read moremany food and drink options. The deli has a lot of food options as well. Again, so many things to try. The entrees I've tried haven't been my favorite items. I'd say, definitely try a banh mi or the roast duck. Service is not really something I take into consideration when reviewing Ha Tien as there's not a ton of interaction for me, most of the time. I get in, peruse the aisles and get out.

A Hidden Gem in St. Paul--Vibrant, Welcoming, and Delicious!…read more We absolutely loved our visit to the Hmong Marketplace in St. Paul! It's one of those places that immediately makes you feel welcome and leaves you wondering why you hadn't come sooner. Easy to Navigate & Plenty of Parking: There's ample parking and the layout is intuitive--some produce vendors are located outside, while the inside is filled with everything from clothing and shoes to toys, household goods, and an incredible variety of food vendors. Truly the Friendliest Vendors We've Met: Every single vendor we interacted with was so kind and welcoming. My son even exclaimed, "I cannot believe how nice the people are here!" One vendor even opened a package of fruit so he could taste it before buying. The genuine hospitality made the experience unforgettable. No Cash? No Problem: Most vendors accept tap-to-pay and debit/credit cards, so there's no need to hunt for an ATM or carry cash--huge plus. COME HUNGRY. SERIOUSLY. The food court is a sensory dream. The aromas alone will have you salivating. Everything looked authentic and freshly made--we could've spent the whole day just eating our way through. We also picked up produce we can never find in our local grocery stores, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quantity and quality. A Beautiful Cultural Hub: It's more than just a market--it's a vibrant community space. It was heartwarming to see the Hmong refugee community gathered in a place where they can support one another, share their culture, and offer goods from their homeland. There's a real sense of pride and resilience here, and it's something you feel the moment you walk in. If you're in St. Paul and want an experience that's rich in culture, flavor, and human connection, make the Hmong Marketplace a top priority. You'll leave full--in both belly and spirit.

Definitely worth coming here for the foods!…read more There are tons of places to order different things that you'll crave the next day. Found ourselves ordering from different stalls and found out each one offers different type of purple rice! Tables here are better than the village. This place is also bigger and lots of tables to sit. It's indoor so a lot cooler during summer. Shop around though since each stalls offers almost the same things but different pricing.
