I love this place. It's so hard to find Southern Indian food & I have no idea why-it is PERFECTION. And you've never disappointed. Chicken korma, chicken 65, naan, all the "usual" items are delicious. We've ordered from here before but we ordered the same items again because they're so good! We need to try the roti & kulcha, chili chicken (my favorite from Bangalore) and the masala dosa! My visits to Mysore always included the dosas, it's got to be amazing. Any of y'all that aren't coming here are really missing out; Southern Indian cuisine is something totally different & delicious in a different way than Northern Indian food. EAT HERE! read more

I have ordered this place regularly on DoorDash over the last year or more. For some reason, my last order was canceled by the driver. I decided to call the restaurant to make sure I could put in another order, and that they were taking DoorDash orders (and weren't actually closed or something). I explained that my order was cancelled and refunded, but I wanted to put a new one in if I could on DoorDash. The man on the phone said he "doesn't want to do it." And asked me "what about my money?" as if I had any control over the situation. What a disappointment that this place is poorly managed. I love this Indian restaurant. It was very easy to order pickup via door dash. My order was pretty accurate. I ordered the samosas as well as the chicken tikka masala. I asked for no heat on the chicken tikka masala, and I'm pretty sure there was no heat on the chicken tikka masala. However, I did detect some heat in my food. It was fine but just a tad spicier than I would've ordered it. I will say I appreciated the fact that the restaurant individually packaged all of the products. We had really, really bad service on our 2nd visit. No refills on water were offered (cardinal sin, in my book, when ordering spicy food!) We had to flag down some random dude to get us water... Super unprofessionally, the only server in the restaurant that night spent his time playing on his phone in front of us instead of A) getting us water refills, B) clearing away our plates, C) brining us the check, and D) taking the check away. We ordered dosas and they all came out at different times -- understandable, but annoying when you add it to the spotty service. I do not stiff waiters but I had to really talk myself into leaving him anything. Food is solid. The manchurians are the best I've had in the US. I love this place!! I am from Los Angeles, where I happened to live by the best Indian food place ever!! When I moved to Fishers I was very disappointed because I could not find a restaurant I truly enjoyed for almost a year. Last year, I found India Sizzling and I am so glad I did!!! I hav been to this delicious establishment at least 7 times. My husband who also wrote a review (JDK) and I love the buffet!! Everything I amazing; so full of flavor and fresh!! We have ordered take out three times and have not been disappointed one bit! They do not skimp on serving or flavor!! I am craving their amazing tikka masala and garlic nan as I type this and may have to order take out tonight as a result!! If you want excellent quality Indian food full of flavor, do yourself a flavor and try India Sizzling. Everything about this place has quality written all over it!! Resturant was quite. Very clean. Waiters very attentive. Food was fresh and hot. We went early for dinner. We left around 7:30PM which seemed like that was the dinner crowd. It seemed family friendly. The palak paneer (spinach) was enough for 2-3 people. Its a full plate vs a side dish. Huge portions. The naan was sooooo good. I will definitely go back for the buffet. We had heard so many good things about this place so we were very excited to go. We went on Friday and did not realize that they only have a lunch buffet. We were promptly seated when we walked in and waters were delivered and then nothing. After awhile we decided to go to the buffet although no one told us that or what the buffet cost. Staff appeared limited to one or two people. It was a relatively small buffet but did have a number of different dishes. All were named but only a few had any details as to what was in the dish. Sadly all the food was lukewarm. The sauces were flavorful and had they been hot I think we would have been happy. While up at the buffet we did have a basket containing 4 small pieces of naan delivered to our table. I heard another table asking for more naan so apparently you can get more if you wish. I got dessert thinking it was a pear in a sauce and instead it turned out to be almost a donut soaked in a sweet sauce- quite good and was a very happy surprise. It turns out the buffet is about $14 which sadly is too high for lukewarm food. We will not be returning. read more

I got a few dishes catered for my daughter's birthday. Basil promised that the food will be good. Unfortunately, every dish was terrible. No taste, no flavor. Just bland food. I had lunch this afternoon with a friend at India Sizzling for the first time. Another friend of hers recommended the restaurant because my friend is Indian. It is small, quaint and Tucked away in the corner of a business complex in Fishers. The ambience was nice and the restaurant was clean and the food smelled great! We both decided to try the lunch buffet and we tried a variety of dishes, including some of the ethnic desserts. My friend explained the unfamiliar dishes to me and my favorite was the chicken tikka masala. My friend said it wasn't as authentic tasting like she's used to, but overall, the food was pretty good and fresh and the service was great! read more

We've been coming here for over a decade. We like the food generally, but lately portions have been skimpy for takeout orders at times, and in-restaurant service is always spotty. Tonight may have pushed us to never return and find another Indian restaurant. We ordered two orders of chicken Tikka Masala a d two orders of naan. Simple, easy order. Ordered at 6:39 and told 50 minutes. Ok. It's Friday. No problem. I show up 50 minutes later and the lady asked my name. I don't see her for 30 minutes or so, so I stand in the doorway where she can easily see me. She looked my way multiple times and never once came over for at least 10 Minutes. After 90 minutes had passed, she finally came back and said 5 more minutes. About 10 minutes later she came out and asked my name and what my order was. What?!?! I gave you my name when I got there. Another lady who has order when I did based on our conversation got her food around 8:15, 1 hour and 40 minutes after ordering. At 8:31, the owner, or someone higher up than the lady who had been ignoring me, came out and again asked my name. He told me they were making my food now. This is 8:31 and we ordered at 6:39. Seriously?!? So, I figured at least a discount of some kind is in order, it I don't push it or even mention it. Nothing was ever offered other than a weak apology. Even a $5 discount would have gone a long way to keeping me as a customer. Now, not only will I not return there, but I will be sure the share this experience with anyone looking for good Indian food. Sad. They used to be a great Indian place. read more

We purchased take out on a Friday night. We called ahead and our order took about 45 minutes. We ordered mild chicken korma, butter chicken, pappadum, and garlic naan. Our order came with enough perfectly prepared jasmine rice to feed an army and 2 small portions of chutney (a mint and a sweet brown one with a cinnamon and spice flavor). Every item was amazing. The price per meal is about $15, but is generally enough for my husband and I. We ordered 2 meals for variety and I had enough leftovers for 2 days worth of lunches - which I appreciated because I could eat this food every day it is so good!! I have eaten in house years ago and service was always great. We have not had in years because my husband always claimed to not like Indian food. I begged for him to give it another try and he is hooked now!! He loved the butter chicken I ordered for him. This will become a regular take out meal from now on. The butter chicken is chunks of breast meat swimming in a rich, reddish sauce that has a creamy/buttery flavor. Difficult to describe but wonderful over rice. The chicken korma is similar but a yellow sauce, also rich and creamy, but slightly sweet. Not low in fat, but healthy fat (I think!) no matter - give it a try! You can also order you items medium or spicy. And you must order naan bread! read more

Terrible service - no greeting, had to ask for Naan repeatedly (at least 4x), had to ask for water refills. They were low on most their dishes. This has hapoened whenever I have been there in the past. This shouldn't be an issue as they should anticipate this. Some of the dishes were still wet. Desserts (rice pudding and mango pudding) were pure liquid. To top it off the women's bathroom was extremely dirty and disgusting. We will not be back. Craving Indian, particularly Dosa. Arrive for lunch and it's buffet only. No menu. No Dosa. We wavered a second, but stayed. We were served water with no other offer of anything else. A single Naan cut into four wedges arrived. It was tender, chewy and crispy in all the right ways. I hate buffets. I just do. That didn't help the situation, but I tried several things. One scoop of Chicken Biriyani yielded no chicken, but one bone and two rock hard almond shaped seeds that I didn't recognize. I chewed carefully for the rest of my meal. The Chili Mushroom is freakin' delicious. Nothing else was awesome. The buffet was completely lacking the usual suspects I love: samosa, bajhi, pakora, papadum, onion & mango chutney. The place is filthy and the service is basic. I see now another reviewer said their card was compromised here. It's funny to read that because a strange guy appeared out of nowhere to take my card. He just seemed sketchy and I thought "he's going to steal my credit card number." I'll let ya know how that goes. read more

Straight up delicious! I'll admit that I had lower expectations because India Sizzling is located in a strip mall in the suburbs. But I was attracted by the festive name and the generally good Yelp reviews - definitely a good decision to give them a try. India Sizzling is kind of tucked away, off the main drag in a mini-mall that looks half vacant. Once inside, the décor is tasteful and modern, with warm colors and a "tented" ceiling. The menu is extensive with both the standard offerings and some more unusual things to pick from. Prices are very reasonable (almost everything under $15) and the portions are very large. My go-to at Indian places is vindaloo and I like it spicy. There's nothing more disappointing than asking for "spicy" and getting something that isn't. India Sizzling delivered a SIZZLING hot vindaloo (see what I did there?) with well balanced flavors and lots of delicious, tender chicken. My dining partner ordered a paneer dish with a korma sauce and pronounced it tasty as well. I mentioned that the menu has some more unusual offerings - we tried the Kashmiri naan which is stuffed with cherries, coconut and nuts. It wasn't my choice and I was pretty skeptical but damn! That was amazing - just a little bit sweet and full of flavor. If naan came in loaves I would be tempted to eat whole loaves of this stuff. Why not 5 stars? Well, the service was pretty bad. They had one waiter for the whole place (and several guys standing around) and although he was hustling, it took a lot longer than it should have. Had a less than ordinary experience in my last visit. Had gone with a good friend to specifically have their dosas. It was during dinner and we were in early (around 6:30 ish) and were told that dosas couldn't be served since one key ingredient (sambar daal which is basically a spiced lentil soup) was over. This was very surprising since people were just starting to come in! So I figure that the simply resuse the sambar daal from their morning buffet and on this day there was little left over from the morning. So 1 star knocked off! We had veg manchurian as appetizer instead which was as expected. Then we ordered chole bhature which was quite terrible and the chole had too much cummin powder in it. Also the portion size of chole and bhature were both smaller than in any other Indian restaurant in town. 2 star knocked off! Finally we ordered chicken biryani! While the taste was good as usual, there were hardly any chicken pieces. I reckon not more than 5 small sized chicken pieces. Usually they have about double the number. 3 stars knocked off!!! Suffices to say I was very sad since the friend was visiting from out of town, and I said this was the best of Indy! Will I come back, yes(since this is still sadly the best of the worst in Indy)! But it will be less frequent for sure. read more
