We were seated immediately and were told we could go up for the buffet. They had an assortment of Indian foods to try. They were all delicious-some having more heat than others, but nothing unbearable. I will say I was disappointed in the naan. We went for a lunch buffet and the food was great. There was a table with pani puri (puffy balls with chick peas and spiced water.) Usual samosas and pakoras which were good. Chicken of several varieties was tasty also. Naan is available on the buffet. Ambience was nice, clean and very open. Music playing was pop rock which I thought was interesting instead of the usual Indian music. This is fairly new restaurant on 96th street. It is in the location that used to be a bob evans restaurant. They did a really nice job remodeling the restaurant. It now has a full bar, a dessert display, full service restaurant or lunch buffet. Plenty of parking. Both times I have visited I had the lunch buffet. It allows me to sample the various foods. The buffet has a lot of vegetarian options as well as meat. I loved the options I selected: rice, tandoori chicken, goat curry, chicken tikka masala and naan. For dessert I had a little halwa and a small bowl of rice kheer. Ok, I had two bowls. The surprise for me today was the goat. I've had goat bf and was underwhelmed. It's amazing how well they manage the seating, filling up of food stations and cleaning up tables without any chaos. The food is North Indian style and was a treat. The chicken and goat were excellent, yes not light food but you don't go to buffet for light food. I was pleasantly surprised at the salad bar variety as well. This is for the lunch buffet only. Today was my second time coming for the lunch buffet. The first time I wasn't impressed but I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd give it a second try. This was a mistake. I came in at 1 pm and none of the dishes had anything left but the sauce--both the chicken and the vegetarian. There were two exceptions---one chicken dish where the chicken was green colored (and which was actually tasty), and the other which was goat biryani, in which the goat was pieces of bone, connective tissue, and fat. The paneer didn't have any paneer left, the butter chicken was just sauce, a korma dish was just sauce, and the entire time I was there nothing was replenished, or if it was, I didn't make it in time for any of the main ingredients to be left. Another vegetarian dish had a deep oil slick on top of it. Never again. read more

Found an another good Indian place !!! I've been wanting to try this one out for a while ! We tried a couple of appetizers - Vada Paav , Samosa chaat . Samosa chaat was definitely impressive than vada paav . We also got the chicken tikka dosa which was delicious . We loved flavor minced chicken inside a dosa ! For dessert we had to try the Black Forest pastry and were very surprised how good it was . It was light and sweet enough . The ambiance is like a fine dining but we felt the vibe was pretty casual . Great service, and really good food! The ambiance and decor is very high end. We went on a weekday evening so we didnt try the buffet, but we enjoyed the food so much that we will make sure to go back soon and try it! They also have a case of Indian desserts that I'd never seen before, I highly recommend this restaurant if you want some good Indian food. The menu is HUGE and they have so many incredible items I've not seen before from an Indian restaurant. If this was in Cincy we would be eating here regularly. Although I will say it's pricey - $15 for 6 tandoori momos is outrageous, but also they were delicious. The coriander chicken curry was great was very tender chicken. My husband liked the tikka masala but I've had better sauce elsewhere. The mango lassi was amazing and I loved the little Rosewater jelly cubes on top. Garlic naan was tasty. We have enjoyed Indian cuisine when living in both the UK and in our previous home town near Vancouver, Canada, where the preponderance of restaurants made for amazing choice and competition for prospective customers. Thankfully here, and primarily for the allergen crowd, the menu for GF options was clearly laid out, and I had no ill effects. That said, we found the flavors very average for dishes that we tend to use as a baseline from place to place. The Chicken Kadai was pretty spicy for a mild request, and apart from the heat, it lacked some of the more exotic spices we've become accustomed to. Even a bit of salt could help with bringing the dish to life. We asked if the Tandoori Chicken Tikka came on a platter with sizzling vegetables, as in other restaurants we've frequented, and they said yes. It came, however, with no such sizzling vegetables, much to our disappointment. Its flavor was overly dominated by lemon juice, and much less a sense of the tandoori spices. On a positive note, both dishes came with rice, and it was a plentiful portion. But as I often tell those who eat at buffets, more isn't always more satisfying to the palate.
