My favorite suburban Indian food. Must try for lunch or supper. I have vegetarian and non vegetarian entrees.

Chicken Mango, Garlic Naan, Vegetable Samosa
Brandon C.

Excellent food and probably the best Indian spot in the area. The garlic naan was a little pricey but they gave us a ton of it! The vegetable samosa was good but the sauces they included with it made it much better. I had the special chicken tikka masala and really enjoyed it. My gf had the mango chicken but it was too spicy for me. I'll probably come back but would be a more frequent customer if the prices were cheaper.

a plate of chicken curry and rice with naan bread

This place was delicious! We both got chicken tikka masala with naan; my husband had level 5 and I had 3; very flavorful; quick service; generous portions (the photo was after I put part of it on my plate A bit pricey $18.99 for the tikka- but everything these days is expensive! If you aren't a big eater two people could have split this dish and then the price would have seen a bit less pricey

Inside

Enjoyed my time here for the buffet came later in the day and they were out of naan so my waiter made some fresh and brought it to the table. The buffet was small with only 7-8 dishes but you could tell it was authentic and spiced well. Also waiter said more dishes on the weekend buffet than during the week.

Buffet is large

Not complaining and definitely an added bonus to come back. Lots of pictures showed the mozz sticks (and says homemade) but honestly, tasted like frozen sticks and the marinara tasted burnt. Again, I think of Arthur's in Hyde park when I think of homemade mozz sticks and these weren't those. But.... Let's get to main items. The $3/rib were legit. Little Smokey with the charred grill taste. Little salty, little peppery. Perfect. Bonus, their bbq sauce on the side is awesome. Definitely would come back just for the ribs and draft beer. Next, the wings. They are HUGE. Like one single is equal to 3-4 BW wings. Again...a little Smokey but solid charcoal grill taste. U can smell the charcoal grill from the wings. Bonus is the sauces. Everything comes in a 6pack of squeeze bottles. So choose your own adventure! Oh. They have a REAL dart board, pool table, golden tee and TVs covering every inch of wall save place outside area to sit. #hiddengem. Cannot wait to go back!!!

I hadn't been to this wonderful restaurant in a few years, so I decided that it was time. Connor…read more took excellent care of us, visiting our table with exactly the right frequency. I started with the day's cream of mushroom soup with goat cheese. The soup was excellently crafted, and the mild goat cheese was the right addition. A tangy goat cheese would have clashed with the simplicity of the soup. My friend chose the jambalaya, and was very happy with it. I had pot roast, subbing wonderful roasted garlic potatoes for the mashed (which I highly recommend). The bordelaise sauce that comes on the side allows one to create a beef burguignon-type dish. The beef was cooked expertly, so it could be sliced into tender pieces that hold together. We both enjoyed their signature cornbread, of course. My friend's warm apple pie was amazing. My crème brûlée was the only thing in the entire meal that was less than amazing. The sugary layer on top was exactly as thin as I like it. The custard underneath was not impressively silky in texture. That isn't bad, but it also isn't difficult to achieve. It definitely didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying every bite, and it's the largest crème brûlée I've ever had. So, I highly recommend Desha's, and definitely won't let years pass before I return. Addition: I should not have posted my review until after I had tried the bread pudding that I got to take home. Connor, who generally doesn't care for bread pudding, recommended it, so I had it today, heated 1 minute, covered, in the microwave. That stuff is wonderful. If you get it to go, do not taste it before you heat it, because it is clearly designed to be eaten warm. It is short on raisins, but that is a matter of taste, so I can overlook it. It isn't as good as the apple pie, but I got a bite of that, too, so I have tried all three of the recipes that interest me most, although I have to try the blackberry cobbler, too. Oh, and the pot roast was still great the second day.

Good morning, Tina!…read more It was a wonderful event and my mom was totally loved on for her 90th Birthday Party. The food was great, and everybody seemed to enjoy it and comment on it. I appreciated the young ladies cutting up the cake and help serve that as well. As an Event Planner myself, I believe it was Christie and Lulu that handled my event and they were simply amazing. They were an event planner's dream. They checked in with me, they made sure everything was as it should be. They were kind and very cordial. I can't sing their praises enough. The feedback I got was it was a great venue and great food and everyone had a great time. So with that many greats I will say that I hope to work there again with future events.

You order at the window, keep your receipt, and then pick your food up at a separate window, which was pretty convenient. It notifies you through text. Since it's in Mason, they also allow DORA drinks, which is a nice bonus. This place is definitely family-oriented and would also be great for a pregame meetup or girls' night out. There are plenty of TVs throughout the venue, plus both indoor and outdoor seating areas. This should definitely be added to your summer visit list. I had the garlic parmesan wings. The wings themselves were cooked perfectly, but I personally did not enjoy the garlic parmesan sauce, so next time I'll probably order hot or buffalo instead. Just a heads up -- they do not allow mixing sauces, which is okay. They also have beers and alcoholic slushies available, but no cocktails.

My only complaint with the volleyball was they don't have nets to block the seating area and there were so many kids playing in the sand 5 feet from the court lines making it feel unsafe. We got pretzel bites and wings to share and they were good. I like the option to order on the screens and they text you when it's ready. Pricing was fair and they did have plenty of water available for those playing volleyball or pickleball. Overall I liked the vibes and had a good time.
