Good quality Indian food. Looking for an authentic Indian food experience in Brooklyn, go here. Soon as we walked in we were hit with a smoky strong scent of their most popular dish. Before we sat we were convince we had to try it. We sat down and the waiter brought out a carafe of water with some complimentary treats. The onion salad was amazing we thought it was tomato. We had some samosa chat and some samosas. We also ordered some garlic naan and then a bunch of entrees suck as korma and tikki masala, we didn't get the popular dish like we wanted but instantly regretted it, cuz as the night went on that's all everyone else on other tables kept ordering. We would know because here came the smoke and the strong scent as its prepared on a hot skillet. Everything was really good but the service takes this place up a notch. The waiter handled every table all by himself and never broke a sweat. He let us know that they were short staffed that night, but we couldn't even tell, because each dish came out prompt and piping hot. We had ordered mango chutney but didn't like that it was so sweet and he quickly took it off our bill and they even gave a compliment dessert of rice pudding, the little golden raisins gives a good sweetness to it. The manager was so nice and sweet.

I ordered the Curry chicken and it was delicious and spicy too. The service is good and they brought some rice puddings and it was "on the house" The place has a nice atmosphere with a good decor. I would recommend for anyone living in Brooklyn!

The staff were so kind and generous. I order food to go, and as I waited, the staff made sure I was comfortable and poured me water at a table and gave me some complimentary papadam while I waited! So impressed by the hospitality. The papadam was great, crunchy, and well seasoned. The garlic naan is a little on the softer side, versus crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. However, it's great for dipping in the butter chicken, and I really enjoyed it. Very possible it got a bit soft from being wrapped in aluminum foil as a to go order, so I would love to try it again when dining in. The butter chicken is not spicy, and has a rich buttery and slightly sweet flavor to it, and the chicken is tender and flavorful. Would definitely come back! Will need to try more on the menu before I can give a five star rating!

Ordered chicken biryani for take out, it's an ell portioned for the price and very flavorful. I would come back and order other dishes. Didn't dine in, but the restaurant seems cozy.

    Every piece is HUGE

UPDATEE! THE SMALLER CUT CHICKEN PIECES ARE BACK AND MOIST!! We ordered two chicken dishes for delivery and were pleasantly surprised to see the difference. Thank you Indian Kitchen!!

Amazing, affordable Indian food in East Williamsburg. Every dish was flavorful and delicious, and our server went above and beyond with fast and friendly service. We were even given free rice desserts, and he boxed up fresh rice for us to take with our leftover curry! I highly recommend the grilled vegetable appetizer -- it comes with big hunks of the best paneer I've had in a long time. Most people probably do takeout, but try eating in with some friends. You won't be disappointed!

So tasty!!! The butter chicken was delicious and the rice pudding was a great light dessert. Monzu was super friendly and helpful with the menu.

Not gonna lie - I ordered from them by accident. There are so many generically named Indian restaurants in my area, that I just assumed this was one of them. I think I meant to order from India Place or India House. Didn't expect them to deliver to my all the way from Williamsburg, but they did! It was well worth the wait because the portion sizes were INSANE. Especially the biryani. Could've done with a teensy less cardamon though. Not a fan of biting into whole pods. The Lafra special (chicken, lamb and shrimp) was incredibly tasty and filling as well!

The entire time it was being prepared, he argued with a man in the kitchen. It was an unpleasant experience, though the restaurant itself was clean and inviting. The meal itself was tasty, but a bit too oily for me. Naan was bland.

As an actual Indian, I find myself increasingly frustrated browsing through reviews of Indian…read morerestaurants, most of which seem to be written by people with little firsthand familiarity with the cuisine. So take this from someone who grew up eating the real thing. There are restaurants that play it safe with Indian cuisine, dialing back the spice, softening the edges for a broader audience, and then there are restaurants that simply miss the mark entirely. Unfortunately, this establishment falls into the latter category. I came with high expectations and left deeply underwhelmed, starting with the Chicken Korma. A korma lives and dies by its sauce, that slow built richness of cream, cashew, and warm spice that should coat every piece of chicken with intention. What arrived was something far more anemic: a sauce so lacking in depth that it read as little more than colored cream. Worse, the chicken itself bore all the hallmarks of having been grilled separately and dropped into the sauce as an afterthought. There was none of that tender, sauce permeated quality you get when protein and masala are cooked together properly. It tasted like two dishes that had only just met on the plate. The Malai Kofta compounded the disappointment. The kofta balls, which should be pillowy, yielding dumplings with a delicate spiced interior, arrived with the texture of compressed gravel. The density suggested these had been frozen and reheated rather than prepared fresh, a suspicion difficult to shake with every labored bite. Again, the sauce offered little salvation, essentially a thinner echo of the same flavorless base. There were, to be fair, two bright spots. The naan arrived properly blistered and soft, and the chai was competently spiced, small mercies that demonstrated the kitchen is capable of getting things right when it wants to. It makes the failures elsewhere all the more puzzling. The service was attentive and the dining room reasonably pleasant. Your server won't let you down. The room won't offend you. But ambiance and adequate bread cannot rescue cooking this careless. Indian cuisine is one of the world's great culinary traditions, complex, layered, and deeply satisfying when executed with even modest care. What was served here felt like a faint photocopy of that tradition. For those of us who know what the real thing tastes like, that gap is simply too large to overlook. The naan and chai suggest potential. The mains suggest a kitchen not yet living up to it.

The Jani Burger was amazing, perfectly cooked, with great pakistani flavor, and it was refreshing not to have a smash burger for once. The lamb chops were also cooked to perfection, perfect medium rare, super tender and very flavorful. The Nihari sandwich was also great, however I wish there was a little more unique flavor to it. The masala fries are alright, but I'd say you can skip those. On top of the great food, this service was even better. The staff was so friendly, checking in on us and even offering us a free mango lassi drink. The restaurant itself is comfortably casual with heat lamps inside, which is nice to have on a cold day, I imagine. i definitely recommend!

We at this on the sidewalk so it was still fresh when we got it. But for us the food just didn't hit. I recognize it's fusion, but maybe the way things were meant to be balanced didn't mesh. The (impossible burger patty) lahori felt quite bland. Maybe because the burger patty was so thick, but it just kind of was overwhelmed by generic beef patty taste which wasn't what I was expecting. The nihari had some really good flavor, but I found the bread was somehow both quite dry and soggy at the same time. It's hard to describe, but I felt like it was working against the actual nihari flavor. Sadly I do think something like naan or basmati rice would've been better. The fries were pretty unremarkable, too. Just tasted like fries you'd get at your local bodega. I don't expect the wheel to be reinvented when it comes to fusion restaurants, but I just felt nothing actually balanced themselves well (at least for what we ordered). For $50 pre-tip, I'm a bit disappointed. This place has been on my hit list for a while, but I can't see myself wanting to go back. Staff was friendly and the space, albeit small, can fit groups of 2-4 pretty easily. I have a few friends that really like this place, so maybe I'm just the odd one out.
