I was in the mood to go out tonight and planned on trying the buffet at this restaurant, but I didn't read carefully enough to see that the buffet is lunchtime only on Saturday and Sunday. I decided to expand my culinary education in State. I had the Samosa appetizer which came with two different sources, both of which were very different and very good. I then had an okra curry, which was insane. I like okra, but this brought it to an entirely new level. There was a little bit more crunch than usual, and the flavors never stopped kicking in one would start to wear off in another would come in, it was fantastic. I also had the garlic naan bread.. The inside is beautiful, they have a bar and I don't think you can go wrong. It will be on my hit list to return and try new things. This was a great experience for a night out. read more

The food, service and ambiance were all outstanding! It's hard to believe that this used to be a Friendly's restaurant. They did a great job with refurbishing the space and making it feel very warm and inviting. The wait staff were all so friendly and everyone made sure to speak. My waitress was awesome and I really appreciate how doting she was, coming by every few minutes to make sure that I had everything that I needed and that the food met my expectations. I ordered the butter chicken (comes with rice) and an order of garlic cheese naan. I absolutely love Indian food, and this was by far one of the best meals that I have had. I was also very impressed by their menu selection. There was so much to choose from and so many things I wanted to try, I definitely plan to come back. read more

Super impressed with this little Indian fusion restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Pretty decent happy hour deals ($10 cocktails, some app deals) from 4-7 on weekdays. Some very interesting dishes that did not disappoint like the burrata and the everything bagel naan. Things I never would have thought to incorporate into an Indian dish but they worked. The waitress was super sweet too. And they're baby friendly (changing table and high chairs available, even brought me a bucket of hot water to warm her bottle). read more

One word...FANTASTIC.!!! No longer necessary to drive into NYC (expensive and time consuming) or Denville/Parsippany/Bergen, Hudson, Passaic Counties. We now have our very own Indian restaurant in Sussex County. Fortunately, it is THE BEST I've ever visited. I'm now a regular. I recommend dining on Saturday and Sunday for their buffet, a wonderful selection of ~12 various sampling. Having an Indian restaurant in Sussex isn't that easy to find. Luckily, this one hit the spot. Fantastic food, very attentive service, great interior design. It even had an open bar that a served mocktails, which you don't hear that often. Will most likely come back here again! read more

We enjoyed the food but will not be returning. I strongly object to their policy of automatically adding a gratuity to the bill. I have no issue with 20%. In fact, I normally tip 25-30%. But it should be the customer's decision, not the establishment's. read more

Indian spice In Sussex, New Jersey is a hidden treasure! We happened upon it coming home from work and decided to give it a try and wow are we glad we did! The food is absolutely amazing! We generally go down to Denville or Ledgewood, but we will not be going down there anymore. Friendly staff, amazing menu - it's huge! As a world traveler and often in India, I know good Indian food. I loved everything about this restaurant! Excellent service, atmosphere, price and of course the food! I had lunch here for the 1st time and tried the vegetarian lunch special. I ordered a spinach potato dish which came with a samosa appetizer, dal, rice and some really delicious garlic nan. I was very impressed with the quality and presentation. The mango lassi was also one of the best I've had in a long time! Yum, I can't wait to go back with my family. I really want to try the lunch buffet they have on weekends. That way I get to try lots of dishes to see which I love best! This will be my new go to restaurant for date night, girls lunch dates and even with my family. Liked that they even had a few kid friendly foods for my picky 7 year old. I can't wait to go back! I'm going to tell everyone I know to please help support this lovely restaurant. They even had a full bar and lounge area. This is exactly what Sussex needed! I wish them success and hope the prices don't go up. It's so hard to find good food at a somewhat reasonable price these days. The lunch special is what made me give this place a try. Vegetarian options only $11.99 and meat option for $14.99. Hopefully the lunch specials will stay otherwise I really can't afford to eat here for lunch. But for dinner the meals are what would be expected. My friend and I had the luncheon special today, butter chicken with buttered garlic naan, a bean soup, a samosa with a mint and or other sauce, and a fluffy rice. All absolutely delicious and only $14.99. Our server was Lauren, who was great and who took the time to explain every dish on the menu and helped us decide what to eat as we don't like much spice. We tried a sweet cheese dessert which was lovely. Plenty of food! Everyone should try this beautiful restaurant.
