Got the butter chicken, tikka masala, garlic nan, and they were all decent. Service was basically nonexistent although we were the only customers in the restaurant. Literally had to go up to the kitchen to ask if we can order and pay multiple times, so was shook when after payment I was prompted for tip.

My go to spot for indian food, always great portions and flavor. If you're vegetarian like myself, there are many options. There's a lot seating and usually isn't busy. I get the vegetarian biryani which includes two sauces you can put on it. One is similar to yogurt and the other tastes kind of like chana masala. I've also tried their delicious tikka masala and it pairs nicely with the mango lassi.

my new favorite biryani spot! i love their vijayawada biryani, medium spice is perfect for me. the food takes a while to come out because it's freshly cooked and PIPING hot! the interior of the restaurant is clean and bright, and service is excellent, very friendly and helpful. it's quite empty for weekend lunches, so i definitely recommend coming in then. love this place!

Delicious food. Got the chicken biryani, the serving is enough for 2 people. And the masala dosa, which is nice a crispy with real potatoes. Good Service. They were quick. And the food tasted amazing. Nice Atmosphere. Plenty of indoor seating. I think they were a bit understaffed because the bathroom had an odd smell, might need to be cleaned at least 3x a day. Or have a sink outside of the bathroom area for us to wash our hand.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed Indian Tadka yet! My husband, a true biryani addict, has been searching for "the one" ever since COVID shut down his go-to spot at the Belmont Sports Complex. After countless biryani disappointments, he's finally found his match here--and it's conveniently right next to his favorite market, Hankook. Here's our routine: we drive 30 minutes (yes, just for Hankook), he orders the biryani, we shop for 30-45 minutes, and pick up our food as we're leaving. Timing perfection! Quick tip: they don't open for dinner until 5:30 p.m. Today, we arrived at 4:30 p.m., finished shopping by 5:15 p.m., and ended up waiting in the car until they opened. Totally worth it, though--the biryani was demolished as soon as we got home. No pics this time, but I'm sure we'll be back for more soon!

    Garlic Naan, Rice, Butter Chicken

We ordered samosas, butter chicken, rice and one piece of garlic naan which came out to be about $30. Pricey, especially since rice does not come with the entrees. Samosas were standard and tasted like how you expect them to, good! We asked for the butter chicken to be made medium spicy but there was no spice at all. It didn't have a pronounced flavor, the flavor was there but very light. I also wasn't a big fan of the chicken pieces, it was tender but I felt like it was sitting in the curry for too long that it almost got the way chicken gets when it's almost overcooked, however it wasn't dry because I think they use chicken thighs in this. I just wasn't a fan but my friend didn't have an issue with it. The rice was standard, as expected. The garlic naan is flaky, had fresh garlic pieces on top and was hot out the oven, we enjoyed this. Service was great, it does get crowded later in the evening but when it's empty it's really quiet and everyone can hear your conversations. I'd give it a 2/5 because of the high prices but the food was edible so I'll give it a 3. Unfortunately will not be coming back since I've had better and for less $$.

Good Indian food for a quick dinner stop. Have tried them multiple times. Quality has been consistent with fresh ingredients. Kids like the Manchurian and chowmein. You need to let them know if you want mild food else the spice level is high. They were running some offers earlier on DoorDash which were good and quality was maintained.

This was an amazing meal! Came in around noon on a Friday and was seated right away. Spacious restaurant with many tables available. We ordered the chicken 65, butter chicken, rice, garlic naan, mango lassi and one other chicken dish the waiter recommended but I forgot the name. The food was delicious! Butter chicken was creamy. The chicken 65 was flavorful. Garlic naan was great as well. The mango lassi was very good not too sweet and it paired well with the food. If I am back in the area, I would definitely come revisit this restaurant.

Came here with a large group of friends on a weekday night. We were able to be seated right away. The parking is ample, but most of the stores next door were closed by the time we arrived (around 7:30/8). We noticed there were other large parties in the restaurant, even one celebrating a birthday with their own cake! The service was quick. There's water already set out on the table for you, although it tasted a bit off. We got mango lassis and our own dishes. I got the spicy dosa. It's huge! I'm a fan of crepes, and eating this was so fun. The spice built up; I could still taste the flavors on my tongue and smell it on my fingers for a while after the meal. The mango lassi was sour, slightly sweet, creamy and mellowed the spice out. My friends got the chicken and lamb on sizzling plates and they smelled heavenly. They had great flavor as well, and came with onions and tomatoes. One of my friends got the chicken biryani and the portion felt like it could be 3 meals, or 2 at least. It was served TOWERING in a bowl so he wasn't sure how to approach it. I'd ask for a separate bowl on the side. The menu is extensive and has great prices. I'd definitely come back!

We got rice, garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and mango lassi. I was wanting some Indian food and it satisfied my craving! The naan was pretty great and butter chicken plus chicken tikka were super yummy. It was perfect with the rice. Really homey vibe kind of place. It was half full and more people were coming in. Very casual, fast dinner with a friend. Mild was spot on for newbies like us. We randomly found this place while looking. Service was nice but we did have to ask for things multiple times. This spot is an underrated gem for dosa! On a Saturday evening, we were seated immediately. It's a pretty spacious restaurant, so they have a lot of tables. I was craving dosa, so we ordered a Masala Dosa--it was HUGE! Probably the biggest dosa I've ever seen! It's served on a metal service tray and comes with three different dipping sauces and a soup. It was the perfect combination of soft and crispy, light and tasty. It's not spicy. Really enjoyed it! Just a head's up, they only offer dosa and uttappam for dinner. We also got a samosa, which were pretty standard but good! The Butter Chicken had great flavor. Meat was tender, and it's a pretty big portion! Got some Butter Naan to go along with it, and wow they really drizzle on a lot of melted butter! Plenty of parking, and prices are really reasonable too!

Whats the price and timing for weekday lunch buffet?

Do you have a lunch buffet?

    No only menu items

Are there nuts (tree nuts or peanuts) in any of their diahes? Which ones?

I believe the creamy dishes do have them (shahi paneer or paneer makhani) and briyanis

Do you have a lunch menu? Someone in their review mentioned a two item special but I don't see it. Thank you

For a Saturday morning, the energy was calm -- a good sign for a small spot that could easily get overwhelmed. The waitress set the tone early. Warm, unhurried, she asked how we had heard about the place before taking the order -- the kind of question a restaurant only asks when it is still building its crowd and actually wants to know the answer. Filter coffee arrived without delay, hot, no shortcuts. The upma and mini tiffin combo followed. Portions were generous and the food arrived warm. But dish after dish played it safe right up to the edge of forgettable. The upma had correct texture with none of the assertiveness that makes a good upma worth finishing slowly. The sambar leaned thin. The chutneys were there, present and accounted for, doing the minimum. Everything assembled correctly, nothing bold enough to make you look up from the table. Meenakshi Bhavan gets enough right on a weekend morning to be worth knowing about -- clean space, genuinely warm service, honest portions. The waitress clearly takes pride in the hospitality side of things. The kitchen needs to match that energy with a firmer hand on the seasoning. Good enough for a familiar weekend breakfast. Not yet good enough to become a habit. The paintings on the walls that were Indian and Tamilnadu related was great, but the other art work seemed out of place, not sure what the thought process there was with the management. Things where this could improve: Coffee taste can improve (may be sourcing from a different coffee vendor may help, seemed like a standard Narassu's powder from a grocery shop near by that probably was at least a few months old) Chutneys need a certain kick and that was definitely missing. Cleanliness can be improved for sure.

We dined here on a Tuesday evening and we retry had the restaurant to ourselves. We ordered the goat biryani, goan fish curry, aloo gobi and butter naan. The naan was the best dish we ordered. While the presentation of the biryani was nice - the flavor was rather flat and blah. The Goan curry was harsh - you could taste the spices were raw and had a bitter after taste. The waiter said that this was a spicy dish - not at all ! It was so mild. The fish portion was rather small. The aloo gobi was slightly overcooked and a little too salty. The butter naan was great - fluffy and tasted great. Unfortunately we won't be coming back to this place.

In the chicken especially, it seemed there were more bones than actual meat which was sad because the chicken was SUPER tasty. Tender and juicy and held the curry just perfect. The naan was also delicious as I prefer a thinner, flakier naan and they delivered!
