They have restaurants,bathrooms and showers. Again no five star fancy facilities. I had a great time in the outdoors with family and friends. Will always be back. From the moment we pulled in things were crap. They have a sign saying to stay in your vehicle while you wait in line to check in. (It was long and took 30+ minutes). Finally we get to the front and nothing... so my husband gets out to go ask and the lady at the desk INSIDE says yes you have to get out to come check in even though the sign says to wait. Next my daughter is riding her Segway with my husband and they're told "no electric bikes".... Except it isn't a bike. Not even close. The entire time we are there people are FLYING around in gas golf carts (which you have to pay $30 to use your own) and BLARING music the entire time.... Late into the evening and well past 11pm I was scared to let my kids play because I could tell half the drivers were drunk, most were going WAY too fast and many were definitely under 18 (the "required" age to drive one there) yet nothing was said to any of them... only my 6 year old going like 4mph on a Segway. Silly. I spent probably an hour + picking our spot online. I am picky about where we camp and the proximity to certain things. I picked a spot that was toward the side of the campground and had a playground (per the map) at the end of the row. Except THERE WAS NO PLAYGROUND. It had been removed but the map wasn't updated. The entire place was a bit trashy and no well kept. It was beyond disappointing. It's no coincidence that they have google reviews turned off people. That that as a hint and find somewhere else to stay. I would never recommend this place to anyone. $30 a day to drive your own golf cart !!! 30 yrs been coming spent lot of money but thats it!

My bf and I have been going to Indiana Beach Campground since May of 2020. We loved it there and have been going every Holiday weekend. Well, with the recent events, They are not longer allowing "Weekenders" to have golf carts. The excuse I received was we had a lot of problems with the Rental Carts last year, and the Seasonal Campers pay a lot of money, so they are "Allowed" to have their golf carts. My experience at this place with the golf carts are the seasonal people allowing their children to drive the golf carts and they have their carts out past 12, midnight. Us, weekenders pay $25 a night on the Holiday weekends to have our golf carts on the premises. How can they pick and choose who can have the golf cart or not? This place is way way to large to walk, so now my bf and I have to find another campground for the holiday weekends. Another problem with this....is...the weekenders pay for the seasonal passes for the board walk, the seasonal campers absolutely do not go to the boardwalk. So, now there will be more vehicles driving around this campground vs golf carts to get to the KOA store, splash pad and pool. This was a very bad decision on this camprgounds be half. The owner just got this campground and boardwalk back up and running and now this. This is very bad for business. After this season I will not be renewing my seasonal pass for the boardwalk, this is ashame they made this decision. Now, I have to let my father in law that is 80 years old know this campground is no longer allowing weekenders to have golf carts and no more golf cart parades. This is just horrible. UPDATE!!!!! I just got off the phone with Charlie, and yes, they are NOW allowing OWNED golf carts. Not RENTALS!!! Owned golf carts can be on the premises as long as you have proof of insurance and ownership. Campground is decent could use some attention. bath house was pretty gross. Security doesn't do much as fireworks went off through most of the night and still at 3 am. The trolley/shuttle to the park was basically non existent. Our platinum camp Site was nothing special and right up on a seasonal site . Our power didn't work and maintenance had To install a new breaker he was nice and quick but not a good way to start our day when it was 90+ degrees out. Overall some small improvements could make this place a 10/10. read more

If you're interested in a quite, family campground with clean restrooms and showers then this is absolutely not the place for you! There are a few new policies in place that appear to be a well kept secret among the park employees. One policy is you must have an armband on to ride the ferry to the amusement park. The armbands can only be obtained the day of use. So if you arrive on Friday evening and want to stroll through the park you can't. Unless you asked for an armband, which no one tells you that it's needed for the ferry ride. Oh and you'll have to wait in line each day for an armband for either the day pass to the ferry and all the rides or a park pass that allows you on the ferry and in the park. The campsites are small and it's a little difficult to tell what the parameters are. There is a quite time, apparently only for the management and security people because you, the camper won't find them anywhere. But don't worry, it gets quite around 2:30 am. Well mostly quite. They offer a laundry. Nasty comes to mind... The restrooms and showers are disgusting. Toilet paper, trash, used bandaids, all over the floors, the urinal privacy/splash guards were barely hanging on the walls by the urine rotted metal brackets. And the worst for last... feces (smears and chunks) on the walls of at least one of the shower stalls. I gave it one star because the parks one saving grace is that there is a clearly marked exit! read more

Used to go to this park when I was a teen and loved it, took my kids a few times when they where little and thought this was a nice park with reasonable prices. That all changed for the worse. Took my grandkids about 5 years ago and it was very run down, even the campgrounds, and was fed up with what we experienced and said that was our last time. Then last year I seen a lot of people saying they did some improvements (probably employees} So I decided to buy a season pass that I wish I didnt. Went over the weekend and it didnt look like they did much. Campgrounds are horrible, the sites are so small and smashed in, the first two showers I tried spit out a bunch of rust and then nothing, the handicap shower just had a little stream of water, bathrooms needs updated bad. Some one had there radio going till 2am, security even drove by them and didnt say a word to them, They want to have all kinds of strict rules but dont enforce them. campground roads need fixed. This is a very noisy campground even when it is not full. Amusement park was a joke, prices are sky high on food, not much of a deal on souvenir cups and refills. Half the rides were closed or broke down later in the day. Planter boxes with chipped paint and dried up dirt in them through out the park, a few fountains where not working and full of moss, cracked and chip paint. The beach is a sore sight it looks like something from a sewer plant and just gross. And no smoking in the park, should at least have a couple of smoking areas for us smokers. There putting in a big roller coaster when they should of just took that money and did some improvements before even thinking about this new coaster. This was very disappointing. Waste of my money, I could of got a better deal on a season pass at a much bigger amusement park then the pettily perks I got with this. If they keep it up I can see them closing again. Notice the pictures of the algae bloom in the beach area. I remember swimming their 5 years ago and the bottom of the water was all slimey and the water was dirty and I immediately got out, and now seeing this from the sky ride just grossed me out. read more

Not for fancy smansy people who are looking for the 5 star treatment. BUT, if you're looking for value and a nice clean place to camp...this is the place to go. Especially when their promotions gave you 4 tickets to the amusement park with a 2 night stay. Completely revamped this place since the last time we've stayed here...the staff was extremely friendly and accommodated us as we pulled in around 2 in the morning - even escorted us to our site. Was not overly crowded, the sites were nice and shaded and a good size. Bathrooms were clean and as always you can take the ferry over to the amusement park for free. We used their boat launch this time, it was a bit cramped - first come, first serve - but the cruise on the lake was beautiful. Great for tubing! My only complaint was that they didn't have a pool...but you're probably going to the amusement park anyways...the coffee shop is a nice added bonus and their gift shop had some good deals on beer - buy 2 six packs and a bag of ice for $10.00...not too shabby. read more

I came here back in the mid 80's thru the mid 90's and not much has changed. That would be a good thing considering I loved the 80's, but I mean things really haven't changed--as in they haven't been kept up, updated, or maintained. That goes for the park and the campground. The campground: The golf course is worn down from the years of neglect and the surrounding pond is nasty looking with some sort of algae floating on top. The signage is the same. Most of it can't be read because of the lack of maintenance. The park itself is a very pretty setting. You can not put up a clothesline per the rules of the campground, but it seems like they let the seasonal tenants do as they wish; building elaborate porches, erecting garden sheds, graveling their own lots, etc. The campsites are mostly dirt as the gravel has been worn down over the years. I paid for a deluxe site and it is a quagmire (minus the giggity) of mud and debris. Everything seems to be muddy or covered in dirt. The picnic tables are weathered and covered in moss. The bathrooms are disgusting. Walking by the row of toilets, each looks like they've been peed in and not flushed. Why? Because they use antiquated yellow fluorescent lights. The hand dryers in the bathhouse I used didn't work. Literally the most modern thing I have seen is the automatic toilet flushers. The shower stalls are nothing short of disgusting. The bottom of the shower stalls are again showing more than their age. Missing tiles, tiny stalls, lack of hooks, and no heat or air conditioning. The worst part? A push button that provides you with 2 seconds of water to shower with. Some shower stalls have been rigged with zip ties to keep the water on for you, but is this really necessary? The water temp is set at a decent temperature for me, but that may not be everyone's cup of tea. There is no adjustment. Quiet hours begin at 10...unless you're a seasonal tenant. It seems they are free to do as they wish regarding the sites and the rules of the park do not pertain to them. Look at their website and see what they say about noise. Monday thru Thursday they have a roving patrol...our last night there was a Friday night and the noise level was worse than I have ever seen at any campground. Drunks, blaring music, yelling back and forth over corn hole game, rambunctious kids allowed to run amuck, etc etc. This, ladies and gentlemen, went on until about 5:30 am. Never once did I see the "security officer" make a round. Apparently he only works those aforementioned days. The amusement park: Same as above for condition. The rides are good, and in the off season we were able to walk right into every single ride we wanted to go on. A few were closed, but plenty were open. We bought season tickets and planned to come back for Halloween because we always take a trip for some epic Halloween adventure, but when we leave this time, I'll likely say goodbye to Indiana Beach forever. We drove 700 miles from Tulsa to come here as I sang IB's praises to my wife only to come away with a mediocre experience at best. The upstairs lounge was severely dated as the restaurant looks like a retired 70's disco/strip club. The carpet was disgusting in the dining room. The bathrooms...I can't even describe the odor in there but it must be from some sort of bacteria that has been allowed to run rampant. The food and service was good and moderately priced though. I am nothing if not intellectually honest. Summary Indiana Beach is a far cry from what it used to be and who knows if it will ever be restored back to its former glory. The years of use and neglect have taken their toll and it may just cost too much to repair what damage has been done to the parks and their reputation. For my money, next time I'll try Holiday World. Just like there's more than corn in Indiana, there's also more than one campground/park. read more

We were seasonal campers at the original campground many years ago. Since then we've camped once or twice a year nearly every year and I can say we probably won't be back. The showers, although somewhat clean, were ice cold and would not continue to run. The brochures and the website both state that the ferry runs every half hour, seven days a week and the amusement park is open until 10:00 p.m. Well, we waited for the ferry and it never came. At about 7:10 we went to the office and were told it only runs on Saturday. And, by the way, the park is closing in 45 minutes!!! We literally had no reason to be there on Tuesday evening, since we couldn't go to the park until the next morning. And no one seemed to care much that all their publication is based on lies. They found it amusing. Never again!! read more

Strongly disliked this place. Don't let the pull through site verbiage fool you. We had a tough time getting in our spot. Lots of permanent sites with out buildings made it hard to maneuver the truck and camper. Roadways between campsites very narrow. People around us had tough time as well. Splash area for kids, no pool though. Campground did not enforce their quite time hours. Loud music playing until early morning hours. Water around mini golf area looked like a mosquito nesting ground, nasty!!! If you have AT&T you can forget about having phone services while there. Campground charges for WiFi. read more

NOT A FAMILY CAMPGROUND!! Stay at a KOA- which was recommended to us by the SECURITY themselves! That's how bad this place is. "Unfortunately, it has been taken over by people who think they own the place," stated a worker. 3000 people and only 3 Security guards working. Security also said DO NOT STAY ON Z OR B. They party all night. So why wasn't I informed when I booked this letting them know I had CHILDREN with us? Like other reviews-Golf carts blaring music and honking their horns all hours of the night. Kids as young as 3 running in the streets alone at dark, playing music during the day with F this and F that in the songs with kids all over. One neighbor asked him to change his song and they were pissed. The people on Z also used flood lights to play a game which shined right onto our trailer. We had 3 of our children there; all under age of 6-including 1 baby. My husband asked a few people if they could not honk their horns right up against our trailer due to our baby trying to sleep. It was only after 9 (We didn't care if music was going just not blaring their freight horn that they attach to these carts.) He got a bunch of F bombs yelled at him. Then we were harrassed the rest of the night by all sorts of different people including having our trailer spit at. If you want to camp with a bunch of folks who have no common sense and hate kids- then this is your place. As a mother of 3, it was unbelievable how people acted and it was only my children that paid for it. NOT a FAMILY friendly campground! I will for sure keep those people in my prayers as an obvious they do not have God in their life. read more

Looking for a good family camp? DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT go here. (before reading on, check my other reviews and you will see I am not a chronic complainer) We are avid campers and like to tent camp numerous times a year at many locations, this has to be the worst camping experience ever. We had to leave 2 days early because of the extreme noise. Of course no refund for the nights were given. Two other camp sites, for both nights we were there, played their music at high volume (and they had top notch speakers). Our tent VIBRATED until 3am. Security would do nothing. When you check in, they give a list of rules, not a single one was followed by 99% of the campers, and management and security did NOTHING to enforce them. You had children as young as 8 or 9 driving golf carts around the whole camp with no adult supervision. We witnessed two accidents where they hit other carts and a tree. Children dodging out into the road from behind RVs with no parents stopping them. Dogs running everywhere unleashed. But the worst part was the music. I have been to quieter rock concerts. If it had just been one site it would have been bad, but we had numerous types of music competing to see who could be the loudest. We had to shout to each other in our tent just to hear what the other was saying. Oh and the music sites were NOT our neighbors, they were across the loop (at least one city block away). We filed a complaint with management it had gotten so bad. Another gentleman in there even told them he too could hear the music and we were on separate sides of the camp. Management told us security would be in to talk to us shortly and asked us to put it in writing. Security never showed up at the office. After about a half hour, she asked for my complaint and warned us she had our personal information given at check-in and instructed us to go back to our site as she had customers to check in. The tone of her voice felt threatening. Nobody from security ever showed and the music just kept getting louder and louder. We finally just packed up and left because there was no enjoyment for us. The ONLY reason it has one star is negative stars were not an option. read more

The bath houses and facilities need to be upgraded and air conditioned immediately. When I arrived my fire ring was gone. It became clear that half the sites were missing a fire ring. Unacceptable. It took two days for me to get someone to answer the phone. I love Indiana Beach and I am loyal, but these things need to be addressed as soon as possible if you're going to charge twice the rate of a normal campground. No security, effective security that is, quiet time has no meaning to anyone, and the playground slide has a huge piece of plastic missing at the bottom that im certain will injure a child very soon if not addressed, five years now and still hasn't been addressed. read more

The campgrounds themselves were pretty decent and nice size lots. The bath houses on the other hand were absolutely disgusting. We were there for a 3 day weekend and the floors were only swept once and nothing was ever cleaned. The soap dispensers were empty and with social distancing only allowing every other toilet stall to be open (so only 3 stalls per bath house) they were out of toilet paper in 2 of the 3 stalls. They were so dirty you didn't even feel clean after showering. Won't be returning to this campground unless new owner does something about his cleaning staff. read more

Not very family friendly. If you are into partying while you camp and being in cramped spaces then this is th place to be. Went Labor Day weekend. Splash pad only opened once on Saturday night. Employees did not know if or when it would be opened due to not having enough workers. Love Indiana beach and are season pass holders but will try a different campground next year. read more

OK so I went with a HUGE group of people this weekend for an adult camping trip. Yes- a bit primitive, but its camping- how high brow can you get? There was electric, running water, table and grill were provided for us. Honestly for "roughing it" camping its was great. We walked to the pontoon docks, some went to the amusement park, and though the group was over 30 people, none of the neighbors really complained about our 5 am campfire conversations. The bathrooms were respectably clean, cleaner then some of the bars I've been to, at least. The only annoying thing is you have to hold the shower handle as you're trying to wash yourself, annoying, Do you have any idea how hard it is to stand on one foot in flip flops on a slippery floor so you can wash your hair with both hands? If you're looking for a maid to make up your tent for you this is NOT the the place to go, but for some good ol' fashioned tent popping entertainment, Indiana Beach was a great place to go. read more

This is what happened to my Parents at Indiana Beach Nascar Campground ( Morgan RV) Petra Bermudez well this is my last year at Indiana beach nascar some of you wanted to know what happen. Well in June they call and told me if i wanted to pay the rate i pay last year i had to pay $500 i told then what i pay last year she said yes so to make sure i said 2250 she said no you pay 2500 no i did not so she said let me call new york the main office Morgan RV she would call me back 20min. later she call me back said they will honor that if i can prove so i told her i did have the contact but i was leaving for Florida would not be back for 3 weeks she say OK i pay the 500. So i get back go up there with a Friend that was told the same with our paper work they say OK everything fine. So i get a call last Thursday if i pay everything off i will get another 150 off so i call few times some answer told then wanted to pay it off so they said that taking the 150 you owe 1850 i told then what happen they told me it was 2500 and that never happened i told them i call the campground office again because some how i was taking to NY office so after 12 call and no answer my daughter call with her phone she got threw funny wonder if they got caller id well she talk to them they said that never happen again then 2550 she said y would we pay 500 early she say 2550 she save 50 really. so i go there Saturday found out some people got it 2250 she say no that a lie she said it 2500 i told her you said it 2550 and the 500 save me 50 no that never happen the contact are not here or out yet fine i not coming back next year i want my 500 yet i have to talk to new york still waiting for them to call me back and not half hour later i get shown the contact that someone pay 2250 but it did say new rates 2550 i thought it was 2500 who lie now all you had to do was say I'm sorry the girl was wrong she made a mistake like i heard from some people but i guest you needed to call someone a liar so I guess it was me I always pay early bad manger no people skills some people get it some don't i been there been there 17 years. Morgan RV shame on you. and if everyone can share this i would be happy maybe someone who care will do the right thing. Don't waste your time at this terrible, dilapidated campsite especially if your from out of state. Monticello is a hick town and the locals aren't friendly to outsiders, particularly people from Chicago/ Illinois. I booked a delux hookup campsite at a total of 120 dollars for 3 nights. Our lot was all mud, no grass and lacking a table, grill and fire pit which was included with what I had paid for. It's disgusting and unless you have an RV don't come, you'll be sore and sick from sleeping on the ground. After going to 7 different locations to find firewood, is there a lumber shortage in this town or something, I could've chopped down a tree in a quicker time. And why doesn't the camp store have an immense amount of wood? It seems like people would want it. The locals don't want to deal with campers/ tourists they are rude, obese, hicks with nothing to do in their little terrible town. I'm sure there was a parade when McDonalds and Walmart came to town. The amusement park next door to the campsite is outdated, overpriced and lacks all proper maintenance. 2 adults will cost you 40 bucks, hello thats a six flags pass with a can of coke. The mini golf course has no turf on it its been worn down to the concrete and wood frame should've been torn down years ago yet it's still 6 bucks a person. The arcade has more broken games than working ones and I don't understand the need for a game card, all the machines are still old enough to take quarters....long and short of it don't waste your time or money in this town, it's boring, depressing middle America. Go to Indianapolis, for the same price spent on the campsite and supplies we could've stayed a night at a very nice hotel and had a lovely meal at a restaurant the caliber of St. Elmo's steakhouse. This campground and the town has left me questioning if I'll ever take a vacation to any rural area ever again. Go to the west coast you'll have more fun. Also GOOOOO BEARS!!!!! This camp ground is pretty cool. They had plenty of bathhouses so you don't have to walk far. The arcade is dated, but still fun. I'd give it another star if they cleaned the water around the mini golf area and had a lake to swim in. The only place to swim in is Indiana Beach which is an amusement park. It isn't free. We were rained out by severe weather, which flooded our site. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. read more

The nostalgia of my husband's childhood filled with camping and visiting the Indiana Beach Amusement Park is what lured us from Oklahoma to Monticello. We are new camper owners, but experienced campers and our plan is to see places we individually visited as kids amongst new places to both of us. We are well aware that in our mid 30's that many things aren't going to be or look as amazing as they were back when. After checking in and driving through the entrance, we were a little confused as to whether we were camping in what appeared to be a trailer park or beyond it somewhere. I look over and see the expression on my husband's face and immediately knew the realization that NOTHING had changed about the camp since he was a little boy was a BAD thing. Driving 5 mph looking left and right like we were watching a tennis match in awe of campers who have literally built their lot into permanent living quarters. Elaborate porches and outside decor that makes you momentarily forget THAT IS A CAMPER!! I don't think we've ever mouthed (WTF) quite so often. The dilapidated campground should certainly hire some of these talented people to help them give the entire camp a much needed upgrade. There's something to be said for something that has withstood the test of time, maybe this whole campground is one big experiment of how long something can be neglected before it completely just crumbles. Typically when you talk antiques, the layers of years are called patina, here- let's not mix words, it's rust!! To say the place could use a splash of paint is actually kinda humorous. Let's talk bathhouse. We are in an RV and do have the option of using our own shower, but anyone ever having used one can tell you that it's cramped and can turn your bathroom into a kiddy pool. The bathhouse isn't climate controlled. The toilets all look like they have urine in them because of the rust stains in them. Then the shower stall.....bare with me while I help paint you a picture. Think of any time you've seen someone practice karate. One hand made into a fist near side, the other out front palm facing the opponent. With a "hiya" the hands take opposite positions. This is important because it's the move you'll be recreating approximately every 3 seconds while showering. Why? Well, because in order to engage the water, you must press a knob that allots you all of approximately 2-3 seconds of water from the shower head. I did notice several shower stalls with zip ties around the pipes. I just assumed it was a kinky camp thing. Nope, people struggling to avoid looking like they are doing the Macarena while showering. Good luck to those of you who visit the bathhouse!! There's a putt putt golf course that's surrounded by a moat of water that initially appears to be the sewage for the camp. As it turns out, it's not sewage, just another poorly maintained and severely neglected area. On our final night (which fell on a Friday), the seemingly deserted camp ground began to fill. Soon, every patch of grass we'd been able to see was covered with tents, pop up chairs and people. Fantastic for the campground. However, this is the point where we also realized quiet hours aren't enforced by their security. Evidently seasonal residents are allowed to infringe on those of us only spending a few days there for vacation. In fact, there don't seem to be any rules enforced upon seasonal living guests. We were given a list of enforced rules to which one stated "no clothes lines". Considering it stormed every day and seasonal guests are allowed porches, storage sheds, trailer park decor etc....one would think a clothes line wouldn't be such a big deal. I guess it's go full on trashy or not at all at Indiana Beach Campground. Since departing, I've wondered where the profits made go. Clearly nothing is being put into the campground except the absolute bare minimum and it's seems even that gets skipped over for a while at times. You can't rest on your name no matter how popular it is. As well known as Indiana Beach Campground is, one would think they would be embarrassed of the ran down, dilapidated association it has to its name. Or perhaps whom ever is lining their pockets don't mind hiding behind their nameless and faceless employees so long as the dollars keep rolling in. Overall, for my husband and I- it's a story. Ok campground. Don't expect anything great. We traveled here in our RV. Many of the lots were full of mud. It had been raining a few days before We had to drive around a few lots to find one that was not too bad. Pull through lot did have full hook up for RV. But the water did have a metal like smell to it. Bathrooms were very dirty. Beware they charge extra for use of the dump stations. No really pool at this site. Just a water play area for the kids. Arcade is out dated and many machines out of order. Some advantages of staying here is the discounted tickets to the amusement park. They also have transportation to the amusement park. I would recommend it for a short stay if you are traveling in an RV. Maybe a night or two. read more

This is the biggest rip off. I called and made reservations. She said I had two days before to cancel. I called 26 days ahead (three days after I booked) to cancel and they refused. I am now out $800. The customer service manager called me a liar. She said she couldn't trust me that the person who took the reservation said I had two days to cancel. Their recording before they get on the line says they record the calls.I asked them to play it back then to verify that is what i was told when I booked the say. She said they do not record the calls. Honestly, at this point I wasn't even yelling or even that mad, because I still thought we could work it out. I had to get a different manager and I was told I was just out of luck and out the money or could switch the dates, but really who wants to stay at a place that calls you a liar and doesn't even follow through with their promises. read more

We stayed in a cabin that is 5 feet from the river. $600 for 2 nights. This place was supposed to sleep 6 people. There was 1 King bed, 1 bunk bed and 2 beds upstairs on what I could only assume was a loft. The stairs to get up were tiny, for children feet. You had to duck your head when you got to the third from the top step and I am only 5'2! If you laid in the loft beds it was HOT and if you sat up you would hit your head. Bedrooms extra small. Kitchen extra small. Had to keep all food in refrigerator so ants did not eat it. No room for table and chairs in kitchen so they had table and chairs on the bug ridden porch outside which was enclosed with a screen. No HOT water for shower! Asked to get fixed, never did. Only a 2 seat couch for 6 people. Bugs everywhere in and outside. Smelled everywhere outside like poo. 1 pool was extra cold, the other pool parents were drinking Jell-O shots with their kids in the pool. Kids see jello they want to eat it! This is the WORST place I have ever stayed! read more
