When I looked this place up on google maps, a place called 'The Dog Cafe' shows. This food tasted like it was meant for dogs. Peshwari Naan was nothing but a coconut paratha. Butter chicken was more like chunks of dry chicken in tomato soup with no taste and garlic naan was dry. Nice local find in this rather packed busy strip mall is the same restaurant as "India's Clay Pit." A good balance of flavor for the average Indian Restaurant geared towards Americanized palettes. The dishes here are good. Popular entrees such as Chicken Tikka Masala, Korma, Saag Paneer, Vindaloo, and Chicken Tandori are well made. For some seasoned diners, the spice levels may be a bit bland. Indicating Medium was far too weak. Placing an order online and or calling in was easily done. The kitchen is quick and efficient. The price point is a couple of dollars too high for most of the menu in my opinion. The dining room decor doesn't shout fine dining. The strip mall location has something to be desired and would be a greater value if a meal here wasn't so expensive. Overall, you will find this place satisfactory. read more

Love my ICP fam. Shoutout Faygo. If you love naan, you're gonna love this spot. They always hook it up with the giant naan. This order measured well over 15" a piece! The lamb korma is my go-to entree. Beautiful blend of spices in the sauce, tender chunks of lamb, and perfect served over the basmati rice. Tandoori chicken is the perfect grilled protein to accompany any order. Sag paneer fulfills my cheese and greens quota for the meal. And finally, and I love this touch for the takeout order, ice cream dessert on ice in a ziplock to keep it cool! Perfect Friday evening meal with great Indian food. This is the same place as India's Clay Pit (309 and 311 Virgil; they're connect inside.) I'll reprise my review in short form: the food is fine, but the service is terrible -- slow and somehow also kinda rude. They're not busy, but they act like they hate you for even being there. This is not a place I plan to ever patronize again, nor would I recommend it to others. read more

The Coconut Chicken Masala was so flavorless. It was as if the chicken was boiled separately and then just dunked into this masala from either a can or grocery store jar. The samosa was the only thing good in our delivery order. Same went for the chicken tikka masala. No spices and very bland. This is like quick Americanized fast Indian food. We haven't dined there and due to covid 19 scenario they only have takeout.Twice we experienced a delay in getting our orders ready for the curbside pickup but the management were kind and apologetic about it and the restaurant seems to be busy with a lot of take out orders which seems to be a good sign.We have tried chicken madras, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan.The portion sizes were good and food was decent. Driving around and found this place open on the president day holiday. The place was not busier at the time I was there, but I believe this was due to the holiday. I ordered the chicken curry lunch special. It was reasonably priced and had large portions. I couldn't even finish the meal. The staff was polite and was sure to refill my drink. The tikka was okay, i ordered it medium spicy. Honestly it was not spicy at all. I like my tikka masala orange this one is more of a brown nude color. Its yummy because i love the dish. But it was missing that spicy undertone. The rice was not the best. It was a bit undercooked. I would eat here again if i were in the area and i could sit at the restaurant. I ordered delivery from this place, at 2pm on a week day afternoon, so you would think it wouldn't take insanely long. I waited almost two hours for the food to get here, against their 55min waiting time. When it got here, rice and curry were stone cold, the mango lassi warm and watery. The restaurant refused to give a discount. Poor customer service, and the food it's not that great. There's much better indian food to be found in the area. read more

Grew up in Hounslow next to Southall (home of great British Indian food) which is arguably the home of modern curry (no tikka masala is not a traditional Indian dish ;) The delivery was prompt (ordered via Eat24/Yelp) arrived 20mins early in fact. Delivery guy was polite and professional. No drama or rudeness. Now to the food. I know good curry. This is GREAT curry. In LA I used to rate Cardamon highly. Likewise Anarkali on Melrose.
