This place is sooooo good and the food is reasonably priced. I wish more people would come to the restaurant because the workers here are lovely. Parking is limited with a small lot, but free!

Walked in and was seated right away! I ordered the lamb vindaloo and the garlic chili naan! Both orders came out perfect and was the best tasting Indian food in Los Angeles! They have a lot of different kinds of naan. The garlic chili naan tasted very good! The boss is very nice and you can also have parties here! So if you want a lot of Indian food, this is the place! I recommend India's Clay Pit

I've been eating here for years and it's been steadily going down hill. Ordered from Postmates saag paneer aloo gobi, cheese naan and veggie samosa. First, the samosas. Once delicious pyramids of crispy glory are now flat tiny triangles. I always ask for no tamarind but extra mint chutney, and they used to have an option for buying a bigger container of it...and I always would (because nothing in life is free). But horror of horrors they neglected to give me ANY CHUTNEY. Even with several friendly order notes because it's my favorite thing on the planet and it's gotten left off of several of my orders. The aloo gobi was a hot mess. Literally. Look at all this juice. Confused as it usually is a delicious dry mess of spices. Sag was fine but honestly how can you mess that up? The biggest offense?! Friggin CHEDDAR CHEESE IN THE NAAN?! I cannot. Question: is chutney no longer made or given out? Is a white person running the kitchen? Do you hate me?

Ok so the owner & and the servers are really friendly and food is decent BUT the problem is in their kitchen area and staff working there !! Constantly Cursing & Shouting at each other which makes the environment there extremely TOXIC !!! Trust me, I'm not exaggerating, either the kitchen staff are always in tremendous pressure or it's just "normal for them to behave like this! Can't imagine bringing family specially kids here unless they take care of this particular situation there ASAP !!!

My friend got Indian food a few weeks ago so I felt inspired to get some too (or Pakistani food,…read morenot sure). Regardless, I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. They also have water for free here too but I didn't see the dispenser so I just brought something from my car in. The ambiance is cozy here. Nice seating area. Worth visiting if you want really good LA Indian food and haven't been spoiled by extraordinary SF Indian food.

Your search for outstanding biryani in LA ends at Biryani Kabob House. The biryani is fragrant,…read morefluffy, and incredibly flavorful. In addition to biryani, this South Asian spot makes hearty Pakistani dishes with bold spices and an emphasis on tender meat. Hyderabadi Lamb Biryani: This biryani is a magical blend of basmati rice, spices, onions, ghee, and lamb shank. The soft and luscious lamb meat easily flakes off the giant bone. The separate ingredients are beautifully layered together so the flavors are distinct and complementary. The warm spices provide great depth of flavor. On the side is a cool and creamy mint chutney. Nihari: Large tender beef shanks are slowly braised in a vibrant spice blend with onions, garlic, and ghee. The soft gelatinous connective tissue throughout the succulent meat is delicious coated in the rich and meaty stew. Tear chunks off the large chewy naan and form pockets filled with beef and gravy. Top it with raw onions, cilantro, ginger slivers, and a squeeze of lemon juice. The condiment plate here didn't have any chili peppers, but there was a little heat in the dish. Chicken Curry: Large chunks of boneless chicken thighs and potatoes are stewed in onions, tomatoes, and spices. The curry is thick and flavorful. Ordering: The friendly owner is happy to explain the dishes and offer recommendations. After you order your main dishes, you can grab beverages from the fridge or samosas from the case. When you're done eating, you pay at the register.

(Take-out: 03/07/26)…read more IN SHORT: Beyond exceptional - phenomenal - sensational. My take-out was popadoms, mango pickle, carrot pickle, garlic basil naan, mulligatawny soup, chicken buna, chicken balti, fried rice. PROS: insanely delicious and authentic Indian cuisine, succulent tender & crumbly chicken (100% very fresh white meat), melt in the mouth awesomeness, the freshest of spices & ingredients, with exceptionally-good service - top notch, lovely staff. In short, the BEST Indian cuisine I have ever had in Los Angeles. You will NOT regret this choice of restaurant, I guarantee. CONS: Almost none, but I would say the poppadoms were advertised as 4, but were more like 2 - difficult to tell since they come in broken pieces in a small brown paper bag (for take-out); also, the garlic basil naan was a little too 'doughy' for my personal liking, but that's just me - no biggie whatsoever - it was still fabulous. Limited parking on the lot, but street parking all around in the historical neighborhood of sweet Los Feliz. Inside, the main restaurant is medium-sized (cosy & intimate, certainly not cramped) and totally gorgeous - plush decor, terrific ambience, high-class romantic vibes, perfect lighting and music, with very pleasant seating booths for parties of four, and the some additional tables for two. Great choice for a date night. SPICE LEVEL ADVISORY: I had requested my two curry dishes as spice level 'hot', and they really were at the top-end of my tastebud limits (I am a very experienced curry diner from Manchester, England, where hot really does mean hot!) - both dishes were truly out-of-this-world (no exaggeration), but they really blew my socks off - in a good way. Can't imagine having spice level 'very hot' as I'm sure that would be WAY too much for me to handle. But, you on the other hand, should totally go for it - if you dare! :-) In conclusion, I was literally blown-away by this wonderful restaurant - both metaphorically and gastronomically. Thank you to the lovely lady and her brother who made this, my first try-out, unforgettable. From this day forward, my 'go-to' Indian restaurant without hesitation. Finally, I found you! :-)

I've tried Indian food across LA and OC, and their butter chicken had such depth of flavor and tomatoey acidity to cut through the creaminess. Upon leaving, the lady that I took a picture told me to take the trash outside the building to the streets. Respectfully I did spend money to eat here, it was rude gesture to have me spend money here and have to throw anything outside to the streets. Then she called me stupid and to get out. I regret purchasing anything from here. I never made any disrespectful remarks nor was I being rude at any point. This should not be tolerated. I eat food in the area, this is disrespect to my mine and money. I wanted to like this place but morally speaking it's not worth coming if this is how they treat strangers. I hope people are aware that this kind of activity is going in this business. Love supporting local businesses but my time and money have value and it would not be spent here. She claimed to be the manager. food wise: very important details to consider- just because it's vegan/ doesn't mean it healthy. I had the vegetable potato Samosa - it's deep fried with canola oil (extremely processed oil) consuming oils like these make vegan/vegetarian options unhealthy. It's almost like eating a McDonald chicken nugget. Not saying this in a negative tone, just sharing honest thoughts. The potato was bland, typically with food like this, spices sometimes make up for the dish but unfortunately it didn't. Just a potato deep fried with bread. Lentil soup- had a broth feel to it, it also lacked taste and flavor. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't great either. This is important because when it's a lentil soup something has to stand out about it, it's a healthier option so the taste makes up for the dish being a healthy. Upon asking, they also add canola oil to this soup. ((Not as much as the other foods on the menu, but still heavy and that gets people bloated) they should consider making foods with coconut oil. The place did seem to be clean. But people make the build what it is)
