Been here a few times before to patronize the business and play pool. Tonight went here at 9 PM on Sat night to celebrate a friends birthday and was not allowed to go in due to our attire because we had pants with arguably "camouflage patterns". I thought the doorman was joking until he reiterated he was dead serious. I will never come here again, day or night, holiday or not. Unbelievable. I'd understand if this was a nice club in Miami, but this is the lowest quality, poorest, grungiest pool table bar in the entire downtown district of Fort Myers. Go somewhere else. read more

Love this place! It's divey, relatively lowkey, has pool tables and the music was fun to dance to. I've come a few times for drinks and pool and will be back. I appreciate that the sign outside showed the prices for their specials which is why we came in initially. The bartenders pour generously and are all nice. I'm a beer lover and they have a pretty decent selection of beer for a non-beer bar. I had almost exact same experience as Tyler M. I had been here with my boyfriend about two weeks prior to celebrate my birthday and sing karaoke. My boyfriend was wearing the exact same outfit as that time with shorts with "camouflage patterns" only this time he had a different colored shirt. We drove all the way downtown to sing karaoke again and the door guy wouldn't let us in because of the shorts with "camouflage patterns". My boyfriend pointed out that the sign on the door which lays out a dress code did not say anything about "camouflage patterns". The door guy then said it was because the owner was inside. So my boyfriend asked to speak to the owner. The door guy then PUSHED my boyfriend hard and he almost fell backward. We will be pressing charges. The guy at the door is dangerous, be careful if you go to this place. He has a God complex and is a hot head. When we arrived he was manhandling a woman trying to get her to leave. Based on what I've read in some other reviews it was probably because of her skin color. read more

First and last time we go here. It was over 10 ppl in our group. We all paid a cover charge ladies $5 gentlemen $10 the bouncer at the door stated they played all different kind of music. We all purchased alcohol and Yes tipped the bartender, she was sweet. As my first night to go clubbing me and my friends had no idea where to go for 18 and up. We choose here. It was super dead when we showed up which sucked. It cost $10 to get in and you could not go back outside or you would have to pay again. They kept your ID the whole night you were inside which I did not prefer. When we first arrived as I said it was super dead. So me and my friends were just sitting down and talking but the music actually was not that bad so we ended up making the most of the night even though everyone around us was about double our age or in their 20's we had fun. If you're looking to club though with people your age if you're 18 and up I wouldn't recommend. If you know how to have a good time though you can make anything fun. read more

YES, Fort Meyers, if this is the best of the night life you have to offer, then yes, yes, yes, I'm in. Where to begin? Went recently to celebrate Miss Sarah's last nights of single-dom, and the Indigo Room was the perfect place for a bunch of dressed up hussies from the North to show South Florida how to dance when there is absolutely no one else on the dance floor. We arrived on a Saturday night around 11ish? I think? I was three glasses of champ in for the evening, which for me = the extremely giggly, "why the eff did I choose to wear 4 inch heels" phase -- so take this all with a grain of salt -- the first thing I noticed was that a) most of the other patrons had tramp stamps, or b) even better, puka shell necklaces (hi 1995, I love you) -- and then proceeded to immediately hit the dance floor. Were we being given weird looks by the 20ish people playing pool? Yes. However, the DJ was actually pretty great, if top 40s are your jam (and they are mine), you will be a happy camper. Avicii this ain't. Men kept buying us shots, all of which I re-gifted to strangers, so I cannot vouch for the quality of the drink, but I do know that they will get you drunk. That we did scientifically prove. Oh, HEY, asthmatics, you can still smoke inside of bars in SoFL, and many of the patrons were enjoying this feature w/ both cigs and "dope", so if that will freak you out, don't come. By the time we left around 1:30, the place was pretty hopping --- though I will warn all you single ladies out there, the man scene can get creepster -- as in men following you to the car and trying to get in with you -- it's fine if you're with someone who isn't wasted-face, but I don't know that if I were a hottie with a body, I'd hit I.Room by myself. Well, I guess that applies to all clurbs, but these dudes seemed esp aggressive. Or maybe I just never go out, unclear. I will say that the lady patrons were pretty awesome -- strangers kept coming up and wishing SRD congrats, asking if we were having fun, and making sure we were taking care of our bachelorette -- it was adorable. Overall, if you're expecting a lounge, NYC-hip type place, this is not it. However, if you're just excited to dance, you're fine w/ reeking of smoke, you can tolerate some level of man skeeze, and maybe getting a disease from the floor, then I would abandon pretension, hit up I.Room, and go native South FL-style for the night. read more

I used to love this place. We went in with a group Sunday, a female bartender, she said her name was acid? Was rude to our entire party. The male bartenders were great, but it seemed like she wouldn't let them even serve us!! She even rolled her eyes and scoffed when we tipped her. (Which was 20%) how embarrassing! If she's that desperate for good tips maybe she should change her attitude. Sunday nights used to be so fun and full of good vibes, but I won't be returning. We went there this past Sunday night around 5:00 p.m. for a drink and maybe an appetizer. We went upstairs and there were two other tables, that was it. The bartender had no personality at all. Brought the drinks over in plastic cups, (others had glassware) and said nothing. This place was great! They have pool tables and a nice size dance floor. The bartender was awesome! The only thing I didn't like about it is the men's restroom is in a high traffic area and the door opens out into the bar area so as I walking past someone opened the door and hit me. They should really move that to a corner like the women's restroom is. read more

We ordered our drinks and the Rolling Rock was so bad had to send it back and the whiskey and sprite tasted like lime juice. The waitress saw we weren't too impressed and got really snippy with us. SKIP IT, choose a place that treats everyone like they're welcome. I will NOT be taking my business or my friends back to the Indigo Room after the bouncers made me feel so insulted and hurt. One Friday evening, they proceeded to tell me that there is a $5 cover and that I would not be admitted inside without paying but then immediately after rejecting my entrance they admitted my friend, who was right next to me, right on in by slapping a wristband on her free of charge as I could only watch and remain on the outside...baffled. Why was she more worthy? I was sober. I was polite. I didn't argue with the cover charge or say anything but "okay I understand" to the bouncer. I understand they can make these decisions, but have some tact when you're splitting up two people obviously out together and suggesting one deserves to be in Indigo Room more than the other...based on whatever weights Indigo Room uses to measure possible patrons. How do you think this makes people feel? I understand this is a business and businesses don't run on feelings or crumble with hurt feelings, but I've never been made to feel so inferior by a bar. There are plenty of fun bars downtown...if Indigo Room wants to make me feel like I'm not good enough for their bar, then my money must not be good enough either. Bartender stole money from me. I walked in and got ID'd twice, which is fine but we were the only two that the bartender did that to. I asked her why she is ID'ing us twice and she said "the bouncers let their friends in." I am in my mid-late twenties and there were many people there that looked much younger. I then got a drink and paid with a $20. That's all I had on me. The drink tasted like all syrup so I told her I didn't want it. She threw the cup in the trash and had a mini tantrum before she walked away to get my money back. She gave me the wrong change (change for a $10) and I told her it was wrong, that I gave her a $20. She pulled a random $10 from her drawer and said "um no you gave me a $10." I was extremely upset at this point that she was taking my money and lying to me. I got a bouncer to take me to the manager who then paid me back the $10 she stole from me. The only reason I'm giving this a two is because the manager tried to resolve the problem. I'm in the hospitality industry and I've never had someone outright take my money and lie to my face about it. read more
