Oyster Platter - Daily Special and a Caesar Salad
    Elizabeth M.

Came on a Thursday evening for my line sister's birthday. Made a reservation on their website. Super easy and convenient. The restaurant was not crowded at all. There were a few people at the bar and two other tables seated on the floor. The service was SUPER SLOW! Very friendly server, but they missed the mark on service! On Thursday they have specials on oysters. Ordered 6 oysters and champagne for starters and the smash burger for dinner. It took a pretty long time for the champagne to come out. The smash burger came out...and then after asking about the oysters I was told that they were STILL COOKING! Got through 1/4 of my burger and the oysters finally came out. Cancelled the oysters. The smash burger was pretty good. But I was very hungry at this point. I wasn't asked the temperature for the burger. It probably could've cooked a little longer. My line sisters ordered the oyster platter. The platter is very small. Maybe 6 baby oysters on the platter. It comes with fries. They also ordered a Caesar salad and okra. Definitely need more sides to go with the oyster platter. It's more like a kids meal. We were celebrating so we ordered dessert. Tried the cheesecake and added a scoop of ice cream and the peach cobbler. Both were really good!!! Dessert was the highlight of the meal. Even tho, it did take a minute for the dessert to come out. The music was a tad loud. Don't come on an empty stomach looking for a good conversation. The food is mediocre, small portions and takes a long time.

Vegan gumbo was fire! Packed with flavor, filled with delicious veggies, large portion and served with crispy bread. I think they had two to three vegan options and they also have spirit free drinks. It's a large space with a stage and the night i was there they had live music. If was extremely loud and I appreciate jazz. It was difficult to talk and too loud to truly enjoy the music. Ear plugs are needed or a spot in the back. Check out their events because it's a cool date night spot or just a fun place to go with friends. Parking is free and they do accept reservations and it's recommended if there is a popular event.

I finally made it to Indigo Room and I went on a Wed. for open mic/jam session night. The space is amazing with lots of seating and nice decor. The band that evening was awesome! I can see this being like the next City Winery on the west side for sure. There's nothing like live music, wine and good food. The service was great and I really appreciated the smiles and kindness the staff showed me as I came by myself. The downside for me was the price of the food and appetizers. Be prepared to spend some money for food lol. The wine was specially priced on Wed with 5 dollar glasses which I really loved.

Came on a Wednesday. The atmosphere is worth three stars. Live music and service were great. However... the food was horribly bland! I was hopeful but definitely underwhelming.

I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and Indigo Room was definitely a vibe. The lighting is dim, the space feels intimate, and the live jazz really sets the tone. It gives grown and sexy. It's actually a pretty big space with a decent size parking lot and free parking, which I always appreciate. There's a main bar area, a separate seating section with a wine bar, and they do offer hookah if that's your thing. So it doesn't feel cramped at all. We went on Wine Up Wednesday and the $5 wine and $5 Mahogany Blackberry Lemon Drops were a win. I ordered the Dizzy Side Car and really liked it. We also got the honey jerk wings as an appetizer -- they were good, but I personally felt like they could've had a little more punch to them flavor-wise. For my entrée, I had the garlic steak tips with sweet potato hash and Brussels sprouts -- everything was well seasoned. The cornbread with guava butter is a must. There aren't a ton of vegetarian options, but there are a couple. One of my friends got the tofu bowl and enjoyed it. Someone else ordered the oysters with greens -- they said the portion was small for $22, but the greens were good. We also had shrimp and grits and the Bourbon Airline chicken at the table. I believe they enjoyed their dishes, but the chicken portion was on the smaller side. They have different specials and live music throughout the week, not just Wednesdays. The staff were friendly and the customer service was good. Overall, it's a solid spot in Smyrna if you're looking for live music, good drinks, and a nice atmosphere.

We had a great experience here today. The shrimp plate has to have some of the largest shrimp I've never eaten. They are filling and perfectly seasoned. The Blue drink with Grenadine was also very good and refreshing. We had lunch here today as a part of a fraternity event and loved it. It's perfect for events and they have a Sunday Jazz Brunch which is noteworthy. It is set up as a Jazz lounge and is centrally located in Smyrna--our former neighborhood. They have a full bar as well. The service was also excellent.

Me and My Lady went to Indigo Room on a Saturday Night to catch some Food, Drinks, and live music. I'm going to break everything down: For an App, we ordered the 6 wings: split between Two flavors: Honey Jerk, Lemon Pepper. The wings are good, get straight tho the point-- you can tell the wings were seasoned before and when they're fried, the inner parts of the chicken are still moist. ** Pro tip: Just get the wings ** keep reading for the rest of the review My Purty lady ordered the Garlic steak tips cooked medium w/ the Brussels and sweet potatoes. It says on the site it comes with rice, but she didn't get that. The entree was like $30, and she counted: 5 steak tips, the rest were the Brussels and potatoes. She said it was real sweet, way too sweet for her to even finish.. So it was picked over. Wouldn't recommend. I ordered the Bourbon Airline Chicken with Spinach and Subbed Mac for the potatoes. The quarter was a really small, but tender cut. The flavor profile was bland a lil bit. Spinach ain't taste like nothing, and the Mac was constructed well, but would be better if it had some seasoning. Wouldn't recommend the chicken or the Spinach. Go for the Mac as a side if you like. The Drinks were good! My beautiful black snack ordered a strawberry lemon drop: subbed tequila and had a rim..no notes. It was good and did the point. I got a standard margarita that was good as well, we got two drinks a piece. We ordered a hookah since we saw they offered it, and said "why not, that'll help with the vibe of watching the live music" but either through a mix up or just time management: it took like 30-35 mins to come out. We ended up canceling before hand to pay the bill and dip. As I paid the check, our waitress brought it out: sorry baby girl, it wasn't your fault... Hookah in ATL and surrounding is a luxury, yall kinda gotta flip those quick. We may have been the only, or the first that ordered it, but nevertheless. We ain't really feel like waiting that long. We would go again on just a chill vibe, if we snackish and just wanna catch a drink and a hookah. I may update after we try their hookah for the first time. Just get the wings if you hungry, and drink. Skip the other food and just vibe out!!

Jasmyn provided outstanding service! She was friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask. Her positive attitude and warm personality made our dining experience even better. She truly went above and beyond, and we appreciate the excellent customer service. Thank you, Jasmyn, for making our visit so enjoyable!

Best dinner date spot in Smyrna, hands down! From the moment you enter, the ambiance is so romantic! Dimmed lights, chandeliers, candles, and live jazz (what?!!), it was perfect! The staff was super friendly and attentive- A++! Eva was our waitress- she was awesome! And the food... oh my wow! The explosion of flavors was fantastic. We ordered from the appetizer menu: gumbo, cornbread, fried green tomatoes. All the seasonings and sauces were on point. I ordered the drink special (can't beat a blackberry lemon drop for $5) and it was delicious. We will definitely be back!

This is such a welcome addition to Smyrna! A jazz lounge that serves dinner and great cocktails. The way they transformed the former Mariscos La Islitas Restaurant makes this place a moody, sultry and elegant dinner club. The hostess greeted me at the door and I was offered a table or bar seating. It was still early (band hadn't started) so I had my pick. There's a small bar at the entry and large bar further inside the restaurant. The small bar looks more to be for takeout orders as it was brightly lit. There's a mix of high top tables, booths and sofa sections to get a view of the stage. On my visit the server Ava was gracious to ask if the bar could make a drink that's off menu - a Whisky Smash. My cocktail was refreshing, presented well and tasty. On this visit I didn't stay for dinner or catch the band so I have a reason to come back. This is a great location to take a group, celebrate a special occasion, date night or just after-work happy hour. Go check them out!

This location is in the heart of the downtown of Smyrna in a plaza with other restaurants and cafés…read more. The first time I went to this place it red for a drink going drying the day is a diffent vibe. They have a karaoke stage bar area and a side for a restaurant with seats booths and I think I saw high tops outside and inside. We weren't great right away this visit to eat at the restaurant but the service was great and quick. The food came out right away. I ordered very slow so my friend got their food first and really quickly. They knew what they wanted right away. I just did not. . Food was hot fresh and good

Updating my review to 1 star - this same bar manager, Jesse, confronted me the next time I saw him…read moreand said if I didn't change my review from 3 stars, I'm no longer allowed in the bar. So, just so the public knows, if you speak openly about your honest experience at Atkins and it's not a 5 star review, you will be threatened to be removed from the bar unless you change it. This is 100% unethical and I've never encountered this level of unprofessionalism in my life. Will be letting BBB know what happened here, and I will be telling my friends, who come here regularly with me after run club, and everyone I encounter, to avoid this place at all cost. I also had Atkins as a recommendation for my Airbnbs, which I will definitely be removing. The management here needs a serious do over before it's acceptable. Do better Atkins. Everyone should go to Vintage or Stillfire, where the customer service has always been top tier and they manage their business ethically. Atkins Park has been my favorite bar in Smryna for years and I've been coming consistently since 2022. The past couple of years I've started coming even more, up to a couple of times a week, since I go to a Monday run club that meets in the village. I'll often bring my running friends over for post run food and drinks. The bartenders are amazing and I consider many of them my friends. The food is good and the atmosphere has always been fun and welcoming up until recently. Unfortunately, an incident happened with a bar manager on Friday evening that has made me decide to take a pause from coming to Atkins for a while. I've gotten really comfortable with the employees, bartenders and bar managers, and we often joke with each other, but the bar manager on Friday did not like a joke I made and he handled it by aggressively threatening to kick me out of the bar. I understand if a joke doesn't land right. Some jokes aren't for everyone. If he kindly told me he didn't appreciate it, I would have understood and never joked that way again, but threating to kick someone out, especially a regular, felt like a huge over reaction. It was very embarrassing and upsetting for me. I feel like someone who works so closely with the public and is a manager should have better reactions and conflict resolution skills.
