This was awesome! My facial, hair style, and pedicure all went extremely well! I felt relaxed and completely taken care of. The ambiance was amazing, the room where I got my facial was warm and inviting and the gal who did my facial (Mandy) was excellent at her job. I did say on my form that I filled out at the beginning that I would like to add on a scalp mask (or something) and a makeup touch up but both got missed at the end. I made sure we didn't pay for it and didn't say too much about it. I'm not good at drawing attention to myself so I let it be. I will definitely be back to this salon in the future! read more

I used to go to Indira many years ago. The quality has gone down since they switched management. The overall pedicure service was well done-though they didn't trim my nails much and I had to cut them myself less than a week later. To start with the place was almost completely dark. I booked a later afternoon appointment but it looked like everything was shut down. The person who did my nails was running late, so someone else started my foot soak. When she finally arrived I was given many colors to choose from only to be informed that the colors I had chosen were not available ( the woman who did my nails made a big to do about how colors needed to be reorganized and she kept asking for someone else to help her find the colors). I requested them to bring over a couple of pink polishes for me to choose from so I didn't choose another color that wasn't in stock. I was given a red and a beige color. I had to ask two more times to see hot pink colors- I couldn't just get out of the chair and pick them out since my feet were wrapped in the foot mask! Finally I received a decent pink color and she was able to proceed with the pedicure. The whole experience was less than relaxing. No one took my coat or offered me the traditional water or tea. Did I miss something? Details matter. Also, if you are taking care of a client allow them to lead the conversation. The person who did my nails talked about herself nearly the whole time. I eventually closed my eyes and attempted a moment of peace but I felt like the whole experience was not worth the price. read more

I wanted to love this place but sadly, I cannot. I am a big supporter of Aveda and have been getting my hair done at Lovely in Milwaukee/Bay View for the past 6 years. There is a certain standard you expect with Aveda and their salons and this salon does not meet the standards. First, I made my appointment for 6:45pm on Friday. They called me at 5:30pm and stated that my stylist had a cancellation and that I could come in at 6:15pm. I accepted and since I live 20 min. away, I left early to insure I get there on time. Then while I was on the freeway driving to the location, they call me and cancel my appointment all together! Something the stylist came up.... So they reschedule me for Saturday at 10am. I arrive on Saturday at 9:55am. I didn't get into my appointment until 10:15am. I should have got up and left then. I get taken back and given a stylist that had very little experience. When making my reservation, I told the receptionist that I have hair down to bottom and so I would need a longer appointment for my highlight and cut and they said they would accommodate. And that I wanted an experienced stylist and they insured me that each employee is very experienced. I showed the stylist the picture I wanted my hair to look like and she took one glance and said okay. Never looking at the picture properly or asking questions. Just starts brushing my hair roughly and not saying a word. I told her I wanted red low-lights and she proceeded to put in highlights on the top of my head and none on the bottom! She gave me some b*llshit story about how in her opinion, it would look better on the top. While putting on dye, she was sloppy and awful. She only left the color in for about 15 min which is not acceptable because I have dark brown hair. So she washes out the dye and I go back to the station only to tell her that I see no red highlights and that I want them redone. The stylist states that when it dries, you will see it better. She then goes on to cut my hair but it comes out no where NEAR my picture. Then she was going to leave my hair wet because she had another appointment and mine was taking to long! I tell her that I want my hair dry and blown under with a round brush. I was telling this stylist how to do hair!!! She does a horrible job and I was so upset that I didn't want her to continue. On top of that, the front male receptionist kept coming in and asking her how much longer it would be because her other appointment was waiting. He came in numerous times, which I believe affected how the stylist was doing my hair. I would not come back here EVER again, and they have lost hundreds of dollars because of piss poor customer service and uneducated staff. The owner needs to hire more qualified stylist's that can maintain Aveda Salon standards. I will be going else where for my hair care needs and I recommend that you do too. read more

After relocating to Green Bay I found it difficult to find a salon. I've always used Aveda. I decided to book with them as they are a larger salon and had some good reviews online. Check in & service were great from staff and very nice facility. I scheduled a cut,color & style. At first glance with the curls/event style color looked great!! The style was perfect for my event that night and I received several compliments. I washed my hair a few days later & noticed my roots were a lighter color than the rest of my hair. I called the salon, they apologized, and said they would fix at no charge. I'm an executive who travels frequently and would not be back for a few weeks. They said their policy was that if I came back within 2 weeks they would honor the free color correct, otherwise they would give me a 50% discount when I returned. DO not use this salon if you are a busy professional. I was disappointed with this salon as I have a loyal following with Aveda and wanted so badly to give them another chance as Green Bay does not have the options a bigger city does for high end hair and spa services. I was fortunate that an Aveda salon in Indianapolis where I was traveling at the time agreed to fix the color without charging extra fees for corrective color and added a complimentary conditioning as well. read more

I wasn't going to write a review because it's negative and I like the people there...but I must. My hair was ruined by Sharon after getting a spiral perm. I was told by a professional, 30 years doing perms, that my fine, thin hair was over processed. I spent $200 on perm alone, total bill over $300! The owner gave me a no charge "botanical bonding treatment" that Sharon, on visit 2, never gave me! She washed my hair as usual and tried to style the same way that didn't work on first visit! I said to blow it straight and style it to get some look that was presentable. Nothing I could ever replicate at home. I wanted my money back, the $200, but was told owner does not return money. Also, sadly, what I go to Aveda for. The 'the, the sensory journey all that cool stuff that adds to the Aveda experience, never happened. I even had to bring in my own bottled water. Bottom line...do not get a perm by Sharon. My hair is ruined for my day bay shower and I can do nothing to fix it. Only time will help me and a hair cut and $100+ of hair care products. My Facial service gets 5 stars - the woman with the accent (can't remember her name) is FANTASTIC!!! She is very knowledgeable, professional and exceeds all my expectations! I highly recommend her. The Ambiance is nice - you do know you are in an AVEDA concept salon when you enter. They always have plenty of product. The reason I give 4 stars is the professionalism at the desk is hit or miss. Sometimes it has been great and other times there is gossiping and ignoring customers. I have been going there for 4 years, and found a great stylist, however when she left to go off on her own they were LESS than professional and even a bit GREEDY in trying to keep me w/out telling me where she went. They Lied and said they didn't know... c'mon in a small town and having been in the industry myself I KNEW they knew and I did find her. I visited Indira on a whim needing to have my eyebrows done. As soon as you walk in, you can tell it is an Aveda Concept salon - a plus in my book. Soothing aromas and candles fill the lobby entry way, and their products in the back smell wonderful as well. The salon is nicely laid out - areas displaying products in the front lobby, and the back area is very spacious with simplistic modern design and high ceilings. Brow waxing is done over one of the shampoo bowls, and while I generally prefer being in a separate room, the esthetician did a very good job. I also have sensitive skin and had no problems with what was described to me as "vegan wax" (what it's made from, I have no clue). Thus far, brow wax is the only service I've had done. While the initial $20 was a bit pricey, repeat customers are charged $15, and they have a points system (kind of like airline miles) that apparently eventually add up to free salon services. read more

OK, first off let me say that this review is NOT about the technicians and massage therapists who do the real healing work at Indira. I wish I could separate the review of the crappy customer service from the excellent facial appointment. I visited Indira Spa on July 22 with 5 of my friends. We were told we had to book as a spa party and not individual appointments. Since 4 of us were new customers we were told we could use the $20 on-line coupons for our services even though it was a spa party. The day and appointments were booked then the trouble began. The coupons were taken away, incorrect services booked, fees charged did not match what was listed on the on-line menu...all in all the appointment booker CANDACE very nearly caused our group to cancel the entire day. As it was, we decided to cancel multiple services that were planned and everyone went with the least expensive choice for our day. CANDACE cost the spa hundreds of dollars in revenue that day. My personal complaint is that I had scheduled the Elemental Facial with extractions ($70) times 20% tip ($14) minus $20 coupon should have been $64. When I asked CANDACE for the total to be charged on my AMEX she said $94...??? She booked me for the Green Science facial ($80) with extractions ($15) times 20% tip ($19) less $20 coupon for $94. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on so I called back to get the correct service booked. CANDACE refused to change the booking because changes had to be made at least 48 hours in advance. Folks, I called on July 19th and the appointment was for July 22nd. I believe that's 72 hours in advance. She wouldn't budge and already had my card number so I hung up. Indira owner, please give Candace some much needed customer service training, she's costing you money every day she's answering the phone. The facial, on the other hand, was fabulous. The technician was a very professional, lovely young lady who knows her stuff. Would I rebook at Indira? Maybe, but if I call in and hear Candace, no way. read more

I called and scheduled a color and cut with the random stylus and I happen to get a master stylist. I went and got my hair done on time it looked beautiful in there, but when I got home it was completely yellow. I literally looks like a neon highlighter and it was so embarrassing going anywhere it looked awful. She pretty much ruined my hair, but After reaching out about how bad it looked, they gave us a free color redo. Sharon did my color redo ended amazing. She did just what I wanted unlik. Obviously they need to invest in getting someone to run their reception desk and find some hair dressers. I had a problem with a color in the past and they fixed it but they made it seem like I was out to get a free hair color. I kept telling them I didn't care about cost and I would pay whatever I just wanted the right color. They had an awesome hair dresser that fixed it (Dane) but he quit and now I don't even think they have anyone capable of doing a decent color. This place used to be wonderful and was my favorite go to place for many years but it has gone down hill so much in the last 6 years or so that I'm finally done. Stop using robot calls. I was nervou at first because they rate their stylist on a 1-5 scale depending on their experience. I choose a level 1 because of the price difference. Her name was Nicole and she was great. I have short hair and I find that it's hard at times to find a stylist comfortable w cutting short hair. Nicole was very professional, filled me in all about Aveda, I got a head, neck, and hand massage, and a great glass of tea! CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! I have been going to this salon for years and I sign up for the -e-mail promotions. There was one for mother's day that was buy a 100 gift card and get a free manicure. My husband bought me promotion and I was so excited about my manicure. I scheduled a manicure appointment for 2:15pm with anyone that was available and Indira gave my Julia. When I get there, Julia is no where to be found so Rachel did my manicure instead. Rachel did a great job and my manicure looks awesome. I went downstairs to check out with my gift certificate and the lady behind the desk could not figure out how to use it. She calls someone and hangs up and tells me I cannot use my free manicure gift certificate because Rachel gave me my manicure. What does that matter I asked. She didn't know and called someone again while talking to me in a very rude way. Finally Mandy comes and tells me about how some girls get paid hourly and some girls get paid on commission and because I didn't mention I was paying with a gift certificate when I made the appointment that I couldn't use it with Rachel. Well I was supposed to get Julia and if I would have had Julia I could have used the gift certificate. So how is that my fault that INDIRA switched up the girls??? Then Mandy tells me about ten times that Rachel is not getting paid for doing my manicure if I use this gift certificate and basically I should feel bad and cough up the money and pay for it and forgo my free manicure gift certificate that expires in a week. If mentioning the gift certificate while booking is SOOO important, why would it not state that on the actual gift certificate and why should I have to pay for a mistake by INDIRA. I made an appointment with the correct girl and yet it was all my fault. After getting talked to rudely by Mandy and the lady behind the desk, they basically ignored me and told me to leave. I'm sorry Rachel, I wanted to leave you a tip since you were awesome and I hope your jewelry line takes off so you can get out of that company! What ever happened to the customer is always right and making sure you keep existing customers happy. Mandy didn't even offer to make it up to me somehow if I paid for the manicure now and give my another certificate for another spa treatment at a later date. I have NEVER been treated like that ever and I have been a loyal customer to that place for over 5 years. Such a shame they treat customers like dirt. And I can tell you in my five years going there they are notorious for cancelling appointments, switching up who you get when you get there and the ladies behind the front desk not having a clue how to do anything. If I could give this shit-hole zero stars, I would. I went here to get highlights done before I interviewed for jobs. I was running late because I was driving back from interviewing in Milwaukee and I called I'm advance to let my stylist know and she was a bitch about it. Then she does my hair and says "we're almost closed, do you think you can leave with it wet?" (This was in the end of November by the way). So I paid $150 for this, went home, and blow dried my hair to find it totally fried and GREY. I didn't panic, but called back and left a message saying it needed to be fixed tomorrow. The girl who fixed it turned it GREEN. I was seething when I walked out of there. Crying, I called my mom who got me an appt. with her stylist Haley at ULTA, who is a God-send and saved it. I called Indira back saying they jacked up my hair and I wanted my money back. They offered me a spa experience!!!! Were you even listening to me!!?? A couple of months later I has to chop 6 inches off my hair bc my dye jobs totally ruined it. My experience was less than satisfactory. I booked a couples massage, confirmed my appointment, checked in, and did my consultation with my significant other and then was taken to private rooms. When asked about the couples massage that we had an appointment for, then were we told that the room was not available as a bed was broken. I should have been notified prior to my appointment, that I had made weeks in advance, at the check in or even the consultation. What we had signed up for was not what we got. I could hear the other staff talking through my entire service, the bed that I was massaged on made crackling noises, and my service providers feet were sticking to the floor and making an awful sound. After my services were complete, I went downstairs to meet my significant other... who had been sitting there for approximately 15 minutes. His services were cut short. At check out, we were not offered any sort of discount but a very half hearted apology by the receptionist as well as "I will see that this situation is handled." I have very thick hair and she has told me things about my hair........and my face shape which my hair style will match, that was spot on! I am in my 30's, so for someone to tell me this at my age and not younger is crazy.....anyway this is my hair stylist for life, if she will keep me, lol! Also, does a great job with pedicures. I booked an appointment here for a haircut and will never go back. For as pricey as this place is, my haircut was very average. I asked for some ideas on what I could do different with my hair and my stylist suggested I could move my part over a little. I expected something a little more than that from what they called an experienced stylist. The girl was too young to have much experience. Although it wasn't bad, I wouldn't go back. My bridesmaids, mom and I all got our hair done at Aveda the morning of my wedding. The coordinator was very professional and accommodating. They were nice enough to let us bring breakfast etc. but overall I was not happy with the outcome of my girls hair. One got done much later than the others and hers felt very rushed. My girls went in with photos and the quality was just not what I would expect from aveda. I wish I had done a dry run of my wedding day hair because it didn't turn out as I was expecting, which was disappointing. After my wedding I went back for a cut and color, hoping I would have a better experience. I wanted to cut 8" and donate to Pantene beautiful lengths, but my hair dresser ended up cutting off 12" which left me unable to even put my hair in a pony. I wanted an ombré/balayage look and I have a feeling my stylist was not familiar with that. She was constantly asking the other girls questions and did not seem confident which had me worried. She also took so long to get the color on that half of my hair was ready to be washed out before she started the other half. I had a 6pm appt and didn't leave the salon until after they closed because she took so long. It was the worst hair experience of my life. I was looking forward to having a fresh look after my wedding and instead I had a terrible bob and color that you could barely even see after all was said and done. The stylist was very nice and we had good conversation but by the time the color was washed out she rushed through my cut and didn't even blow dry/straighten it at the end. So it wasn't until I got home and styled it myself that I noticed it was not cut straight. The worst part is that I was charged $200. Yes she spent a long time on my hair but it should not have taken that long. This happened 2 years ago and I'm finally writing a review. I still think about it to this day and am just sick at how much I spent. I should have said something but didn't have the heart because my stylist was so sweet and I'm sure was just really struggling at the time.
