Back for another manicure. I chose a cat eye color and Madeline was great to explain the difference in cost. She was careful and attentive to remove the old gel and trim my cuticles. When applying the color, she started with the original color, then asked if that was ok or if I wanted it darker. When I asked for it to be darker, she carefully wiped off the color and applied black as a base coat. She did an amazing job! She kept asking to make sure I liked it since this was my first time with this type polish. Again, this is the place to go for your nails! read more

Alex answered the phone in an upbeat manner. I asked if a pedicure could happen right away. He told me to come in. I said great, I would arrive in about 10 minutes. Tuoa was my kind and talented technician. I chose a hot pink orange nail collar based on one of the other nail technicians. Water temperature was perfect with a blue pellet added. Tuoa was able to freshen up and tidy my nails which were in rough shape from workbooks and ski boots. Calluses were minimized followed by a gently scented scrub for both lower legs and feet. Foot and legs were massaged proficiently and with attention. A clay mask was put on lower legs covered with hot towels. Polish was applied carefully and deftly, base coat first, 2 coats of polish and dying layers all done with focused finesse. I was led to drying table and Alex checked my polish a few times- we decided after 15 minutes the polish was safe and dry. Black & White Nail Salon was recommended to me by Megan W. While visiting in town I stopped by here for a mani/pedi. I regularly get SNS on my nails that lasts 3-4 weeks. Sadly, after 4 days all of my SNS have cracked and fallen off. The staff was super nice.. although some were having extremely inappropriate conversations with clientele. Very passive aggressive owner reached out to me clearly upset about my review, was not able to apologize or take responsibility for the lack of professionalism or poor work done on my nails because I was unable to provide a name of the technician who serviced me. I think I found my new nail salon! I don't get my nails done very often but my go to nail salon in Green Bay has left me disappointed last two times I went. So I was on the search for somewhere new to get my nails done before my engagement photos and discovered this place had just opened. I just wanted a simple gel manicure with nude polish for pictures and I'm so happy with the results from here. The place is absolutely beautiful. It's very spacious and clean and looks very upscale. They have a wide variety of colors to pick from as well as services. I was greeted promptly as I walked in and was offered a beverage. Nail tech was friendly, did good work, and didn't try to sell me on more than what I wanted. Nails were done in about 35 minutes and I believe with tip cost just about $40. It's been almost a week now and there's been no chipping or scrapes or bubbles or anything. read more

This place is THE best! I booked appointments for my friend and I to get pedis and gel polish on our fingers. They were ready for us right on time. Took us back and sold us on the full mani! We picked designs from Pinterest and they did exactly that! I picked glitter for 2 of my nails and the glitter got all over my skin and she explained why. As I was sitting in my pedi chair, another woman came over and took off all the glitter on my skin! It was wonderful! The pedi was great! They gave options of different prices and levels. I was looking for a new nail salon after the pandemic, in Mar (2021) I went to Black & White. I was greeted up arrival, the salon is spacious, bright and very clean. Ashley was nail technician she was very friendly and engage conversation with you, but they all are friendly there. They do not talk among themselves like other salons. My nails turned out beautiful. I then had a pedicure- Lala was my pedicure technician, she has a great personality funny and easy to talk to They are have super personalities there in my opinion. This my there, a place to get my nails done . Usually when I get them done by Kenshia . they are perfect and they last for a good couple of weeks or so and I usually get steps with Tips but the last time when I was in there, I got some other girl and she was very fast. I'm doing my nails which is OK but my nails only last about a week which I was very upset as is usually I'm used to the lasting longer than a week even several weeks. Overall they didn't do a bad job with my nails, but it was just an unpleasant experience. The first gal that did my manicure was making comments about my nails being a weird shape, then started asking me where I've gotten my nails done in the past with attitude which made me uncomfortable. Once I got to the pedicure there was one girl that kept coming over and trying to ask me questions. It felt like an interrogation and I felt judged. The convo also felt very forced and I really just wanted to relax. There was a lot of socializing going on in another room with friends of theirs stopping by. Im not trying to nitpick but it didn't feel like a professional environment to me. Stopped in with my wife on a lark. I enjoy the occasional pedicure with her but not all salons are comfortable for guys. I was shocked at how nice the place is decorated and set up. Clearly the owner(s) knew what they were doing. The office is up front which makes for excellent supervision. They are in a soft opening right now and we were swarmed with extremely nice talented people. Talent seems a strange word but consciousness foot care is important and not all nail professionals are equal. These folks act like family, solicit feedback and communicate clearly. This was the first time I've been to this salon and it will be my last. I got a gel pedicure and by the very next day three of my nails fell off. Of course, I called and they said to come in for a redo, which I did. She did only the ones that fell off, so you can probably guess what happened next. The next day two more fell off.
