Friendly service with a smile. I really enjoy the Shrimp fried rice. The service was good. Plenty of parking, quite and clean spot.

*** Take out experience, not in person dining *** FOOD: I ordered the Pho with chicken (I almost wish I did it with no protein. The only options were beef and chicken though. The chicken smelled and tasted like it was boiled and added in after the fact. Very potent yet ironically tasty once you got passed the scent of boiled . The rice noodles were great and totally absorb the flavor of the soup which had a nice seasoned taste. The "extras bag" contained a bunch of basil on its stem (some was not fresh), chopped red onion, a chopped jalapeño pepper, chopped basil, chopped scallion, and those white crunchy skinny root vegetables. I was not sure if they were cleaned so I cleaned before adding. DRINK: I was a little disappointed it arrived in a can and thought it would be acidic that way BUT it was actually very good! It was sweetened and no bubbly acid to it at all. PACKAGING: Unfortunately there were no utensils, no sauces or seasoning, no straw etc. which for take out you'd think that comes with it. Packaged in a regular plastic bag tied with a knot. Delivery only available by using Doordash so unless you have a Doorpass you have to pay that service fee. In summary: I'd likely try it again but I'd get something else. Hopefully my next experience is better but it was tasty. It was decent enough for a nice lunch.

Great little place, I wish the Thai Tea was fresh, but the food was absolutely authentic! It was a bummer regarding the broths, they all contain animal product unsuitable for vegetarian. I was looking forward to a Tom Kha or even Pho. Good news the service was great! It was fast and attentive service, despite ordering at the front desk they will bring you the food to your table. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food is inviting me to return. I wish I had more time in the area to try different dishes. For sure next time I will stop by to try other dishes.

Got a to-go order on their soft opening day. It's located next to The Greeks. Ordering and picking up the meal went smoothly. Staff were friendly when I arrived to pick up my order. Staff were wearing masks. They have some tables inside, but there are only five tables of two seating and one table of four seating. There are also small tables of outdoor seating. Curbside pickup is available. Lunch specials are from Monday to Friday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for $8.95. The lunch specials are not up on their website so you'll have to call to see what they are or just look at my picture for now. I tried the Coconut shrimp appetizer ($7.99), Papaya salad ($11.99), Beef pho ($13.99), Pad thai with tofu ($13.99), Pad Kee Mao ($16.99), and Coconut cake ($8). Depending on how much food you get, each entree could be two meals worth. The coconut shrimp was good, crispy. It was served with a sweet thai chili sauce. The papaya salad had good flavor, but the green papaya wasn't as tender as I would have preferred. Still a tasty salad worth getting. It does not have as much fish sauce/seafood flavor and it was served with a ton of other ingredients than other papaya salads I have tried. It had chopped tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, green beans, lettuce, shredded carrots and topped with ground peanuts. They gave extra ground peanuts on the side. The beef pho came with the usual suspects of bean sprouts, jalapeno slices, herbs, as well as scallions, and sliced red and white onions. Meat options are either beef or chicken. There are no size options available like usual Vietnamese pho restaurants. The beef option came with pieces of beef and meatballs. The beef pieces weren't sliced as thinly, but I was pleased to find that some of the beef was medium rare by the time I got home like how traditional pho restaurants do. The noodles were a little bit thicker than I'm what I'm used to-was about 0.2 inch wide. I didn't like the pho broth very much-it was too sweet for me. Pho Basil remains my number one go-to for pho cravings. They packaged sides of sriracha, tons of chili sauce, lime wedges, and hoisin sauce to go with the pho. The Pad Thai was decent. I asked for Thai hot spiciness level and I was impressed that it was actually spicy. It was served with eggs, julienned carrots, and scallions. I wouldn't mind ordering this again. The Pad Kee Mao was also decent. I would rather eat Double Happiness's flat rice noodle dish though-just had better flavor. The Pad Kee Mao had chicken, shrimp, eggs, carrots, broccoli, bean sprouts, bok choy, and onions. Didn't see any basil as advertised. The chicken and shrimp were tender. I liked how the broccoli was not overcooked- still had crunch. They gave me a side of coconut rice, although I didn't ask for it. I didn't like the coconut rice very much. They put tons of shredded coconut in it, which is not my preference. Besides the shredded coconut, the rice didn't have much coconut flavor. The coconut cake was okay. The cake was moist, had a strong coconut extract flavor and tons of shredded coconut on the frosting. I loved that they gave a side of warm coconut milk to slather on the cake. That just made the cake go from a 5 to a 10. Didn't get a beverage but some of the beverages they had were bottled or canned coconut milk (regular or melon), milk tea, coffee with milk, soda, Japanese Ramune soda, mango nectar, unsweetened or sweet tea, regular soda, wine, and beer. This new location is a good option for Indochine lovers that live by Monkey Junction or those looking for quick decent Thai/Vietnamese/Chinese food. Just don't get the pho.

    Pad Thai - Thai hot

Ordered delivery and it was quick and tasty. I do wish it was a little spicier (I ordered Thai hot) though I realize not everyone wants to cry while eating (I know I'm a weirdo). The portions are huge (I only got half way through my pad Thai). Ingredients are fresh and the location is clean. Service is always friendly too.

This was my first time getting delivery from Indochine Express. I have eaten at Indochine and have had take out more times than I can imagine. I ordered the bun Thit nuong and chao gai. Everything was delicious as usual but I specifically filled out the sections that asked for sauces for both items and had requested their Thai chili oil. To me that is what makes the meal. It was delivered without it. It changes the meals flavor so I was kind of disappointed. They sent ample fish sauce for the meal. Of the sauce would have been there it would have been perfect.

I was at South port weeks ago and eat in one of this place. I had great experience, great food, great place, nice ambiance. I went to this one expecting the same. Not the same at all! I walked in I ordered at the cash register, grab my drink and seat my self. Don't get me wrong but I paid $25 I have a bowl pho, drink, egg roll. The most I have paid $20 so it was expensive for a fast food feel to it. Oh by the way the steak was tough and noddles was over cooked. The broth was really tasty. I don't like opening little packages of sauce I wished they had the bottle sauce on the table.

Deliciously well prepared and as good as Indochine; even with the limited menu. Worth the wait.

My wife ordered the Vietnamese Lemongrass Chili Chicken, but unfortunately it was extremely salty, even by my standards, and I tend to enjoy saltier foods. We also ordered two cocktails that came out much sweeter than expected. It left us wondering whether some additional tasting and quality control in both the kitchen and bar could help improve consistency. That said, our server, John, was excellent throughout the evening. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about our experience. When we mentioned the issue with my wife's meal, managers Jack and David both checked on us personally and worked hard to make things right. Their involvement and concern did not go unnoticed and reflected a commitment to customer service. We've visited Cafe Chinois over the years and have noticed changes since the passing of the previous owner and the family's transition into running the restaurant. The menu has evolved, and the overall atmosphere feels a little different than it once did. During our visit, there was some trash on the floor that remained for a while, suggesting that attention to detail may not be quite where it used to be. Even so, the excellent service from John, Jack, and David, along with the quality of my entrée, showed that the restaurant still has a strong foundation. With a little more consistency in the kitchen and bar, Cafe Chinois can continue to be one of Wilmington's favorite dining spots.
