Hands down, best steamed dumplings in the world. Even my two toddlers love them. My husband always orders the sesame chicken with noodles and egg rolls. I lived on Carolina Beach for 10 years and can say this place has the best crab rangoon I've ever had to where I think about it daily despite no longer living in that area. If I, a person who is quadriplegic and has no immune system, am trying to find a way to get here just to eat the food again; it's good food! It's got a bit of noise but the restaurant is pretty small and the staff work really hard within their means. It's hard being a restaurant in a post pandemic world and especially with non-chain restaurants and I urge people who had a negative experience here to give it another try if you can. We moved here in time for lockdown in January 2020. Top Wok is our go to fast supper option. My husband could live off the chicken terryaki on a stick, it's a hit with my 5 year old too. I am being good and sticking with the steamed chicken and shrimp with vegetables -it's actually very flavorful. Even if they weren't 3 minutes away, I'd still pick up supper here. ASIAN APPROVED ! My wife is Asian, and she gives this place 5 stars. I would also agree as everything we ordered the last 2 days while we are here on vacation from Northern Virginia, has been very good. Everything is fresh, the oils are fresh, the flavors of the dishes come out. I found the employees very friendly. The funny thing is, out of all the restaurant's we at while here at Carolina Beach, this little unassuming place had the best quality of all. They beat out Michaels Seafood, Fat Pelican, Butts and Such, Hang Ten, etc. That's so funny !! Wife loved the Mei Fun. The Roasted Duck (crispy) was also very good. I see the bad reviews here, and they are petty. And untrue. Staff is friendly and fast, they DO SPEAK ENGLISH, and the food is very tasty. Went to Top Wok tonight for the first time, and it will be the last time. Took the Shrimp Mei Fun home and about 3 minutes into eating I bit onto something hard and metallic. Long story short, a piece of metal was in my food. Took the food back to Top Wok and the woman at the register did not even apologize. NO APOLOGY FOR METAL IN MY FOOD?! Gonna keep it short and sweet. It is not great and it is not bad. I did not feel like cooking that night and ordered a dish, Szechuan Chicken, it was not spicy at all by the way. They were very nice and let me substitute a vegetable egg roll and vegetable lo mein as I don't eat pork. I really liked the flavor of the food and it was well cooked. Portion was ok, I wanted a little more. If I don't feel like cooking or its a late night I will definitely order again. Worth trying... read more

They don't keep their prices up to date they don't speak English very well they don't understand you. They charge you for delivery and then expect u to tip them more than delivery. read more

The small dining area was dirty... but honestly, no one ever dines in these places anyway. Nothing exemplary here! This is a good Chinese restaurant. They only do take-out, not delivery. Their prices are comparable to other Chinese places. I called ahead and ordered the steamed dumplings (I love dumplings) and the combination sweet and sour chicken with white rice. When I went in to pick it up, they were very nice, and the food was nice and hot. I will say I'm disappointed that they did not give any packets of soy sauce or duck sauce to go. The dumplings were really good. The wrapping was nice and thin, and they were stuffed with lots of beefy goodness. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty good-nothing special to note. Each piece had a nice fried layer, and the sweet and sour sauce itself was good. I liked the egg roll that came with the combination platter.
