I've been coming here for years and only have Angela do my hair. I'm giving her more stars than what is provided here. Her work is OUTSTANDING!!! She's all about getting the job right!! Her on-going training at J Bev has proven to be the best in her business!!! THE ONLY REASON WHY I'M ENTERING A ONE STAR IS BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE FRONT DESK. I arrived for my appointment and let Kayla know I was here for Angela. She responded by saying she'd let Angela know as she buried her face back in her cell phone. Two other clients walked in, and Kayla gave the same response and buried her face back in her phone. There were two other girls at the front desk and all three were talking about something on their cell phones. NOT ONCE did I see either of them get up to let the hairdressers know their clients were in the lobby. About 30 minutes later, Kayla picked up her things and left. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! There was another incident when I made an appointment with Kayla over the phone only to find out when I arrived for my appointment, it wasn't on the books. I have to drive all the way from Goodyear to get here which means leaving work early. With the lack of customer service from Kayla, you never know if you have an appointment or whether your hairdresser knows you are waiting. All I can say is DON'T DEAL WITH KAYLA!!! Otherwise, I love this place!! Just a word of advice for Kayla. YOU are the face of the company if YOU lack the skills to be at the front desk, you shouldn't be there. Had a terrible experience at this salon with supposed-to-be-colorist Amy McMeekin. Went for a partial weave with 2 colors and explained in detail what I wanted, and twice said I wanted only the light blonde on top. She said yeah, yeah, I know what you want. Well she got impatient and yanked the foils too soon, leaving me brassy, so she then proceeded to strip my hair by having to toner it and wash it twice. My ends were fried, after paying extra for Olaplex which should have protected my hair! And I didn't come in this way! I'm very concerned about the health of my long hair and I never have fried ends! I expressed distress at my dryed ends and she told me to "go home and use some of your own product on it!" Problem: I wasn't going home, I met my husband for lunch and was in the bathroom almost in tears putting chapstick on my dryed, frizzy ends! To add insult to injury, she put low-lights on top, which I didn't want, didn't pull the color through the length so I had spots of color instead of streaks. And she barely lifted the light blonde. (Chapstick did a better job than she did!) Needless to say I contacted the manager/owner Dee, and other than a few phone calls, she did nothing! In fact she tried to blame me for not noticing all the mistakes Amy McMeekin made immediately. Well I'm very careful to make full observations before I seek a refund. I went to an expensive Scottsdale salon to fix it, to date I'm out the $125.00 I paid to McMeekin! I hope to spare someone else the trouble. Unless you want splotchy, muddy, fried hair, stay away from Indulgence Salon and Amy McMeekin! Would have given them zero stars if I could! read more

I had the worst experience at this salon. I understand that all of the technicians that work there are independent contractors but there should be some sort of standards in how the techs treat customers! My review is specifically for TIFFANY NGUYEN, a manicurist at this salon. Don't even think about scheduling an appointment with her! She is rude and unprofessional. I called the salon to make an appointment for another service but it wasn't available and as I was looking at their website I see an ad for a Special Gel Manicure & Pedicure for $40.00 (special pedicure and scrub etc...) I asked Katie (the woman who answered the phone, if the Special was still valid (no expiration date was listed) She said yes it is. I scheduled my appointment for the following day at 4:30. A half hour later Katie called me back and asked that I bring in a print out of the special or show it to Tiffany on my phone as "she likes to see it" I said OK. The next morning Kayla (the receptionist) called me and said, "Tiffany needs you to come at 2:30" I said OK but I will have to change my whole day around but OK. I arrived promptly at 2:30. After about 5 minutes Kayla says, "I don't think Tiffany is even here, you know she works at another salon" I cannot believe it. Then she proceeds to text Tiffany. A few minutes later she tells me that Tiffany wants me to COME BACK AT 4:30! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I then tell Kayla that I changed around my entire day because Tiffany wanted me to come at 2:30 and now she wants me to come back in 2 hours? NO. So then she says OK Tiffany said if you can wait 20 minutes she will be here. At just before 3:00 Tiffany comes in and Kayla points to me and Tiffany says "OK let's go in the back" She doesn't ever say she is sorry for the delay or anything. She then waves her arm at the various shelves with nail polish and says, "pick a color" I tell her I would like Mod About You. She looks at me blankly and says can you find it? I say no. The other Nail tech, her friend says, "I'll find it for you" and she does--thank you. Tiffany is all but silent only asking me a few questions about how I want my toes and nails. Then she asks me which pedicure do I want. I tell her I want the special as advertised and I show it to her on my phone. She then SHAKES HER HEAD NO AND SAYS SHE ISN'T HONORING THAT SPECIAL ANYMORE! Isn't that false advertising?? I can't even believe how rude this woman is. I tell her well it's on your website and I made the appointment for the Special and booked it with Katie. Tiffany just says NO I'm not honoring that and you will have to pay $5.00 more for the removal of your gel nails. I have never been treated this way in a supposed classy and upscale salon. I wanted so badly to take my feet out of the water and walk out but I say fine OK. I don't want to make a scene. Throughout this uncomfortable mani pedi Tiffany is silent and acts like she is angry with me and resentful that she has to do my nails. She speaks in Vietnamese to the other nail tech a few times and I wonder if they are talking about me. What did I do?? I paid my bill and left when she was finished and later I sent an email to the owner of the salon. She did reply back with a very sincere and nice apology and offered me a free mani pedi. I will NOT be taking her up on this. I don't want to go back there ever again. I do not recommend this salon unless you have a definite referral from a friend to a technician (hair, skin etc..) definitely don't get your nails done there. Also Kayla at the front desk has an attitude, she is not friendly or warm to the clients that walk in to the salon unless she already knows them. read more

Worst experience I have ever had getting a facial! First off she put a cream on my face that started to burn, I advised her it was burning and she took her time taking it off. Then she was on her phone (texting) majority of the time. My appt. Was for an hour she was done less than 45 minutes and most of that time she was on her phone. Dr. John Montoya, a doctor of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, works out of Indulgent Salon on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I used to live in Japan and I regularly had acupuncture there and also in New York City when I lived there. Dr. John is the best acupuncturist I've ever had. He does many modalities of Chinese medecine including cupping. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks. His price is extremely reasonable and better than your average licensed acupuncturist and he isn't just a licensed acupuncturist but also a full doctor of Chinese medecine. read more

First my disclaimer...the only reason I'm giving a star is because I absolutely love my nail technician (five stars for her alone!) Otherwise this is a business I would not spend a dime at..period! I purchased a handbag from their "boutique" and after one day's use, discovered that the finish scratched very easily. There were several notches along the bottom and side of the bag. I decided I would return the bag and exchange for another or get a refund if I could not find something else. I had purchased other handbags in the past and had been happy with those purchases. The finish on this bag ended up being worse than one purchased from a discount store and with a $50 price tag I expect better quality. I attempted to contact the owner, Dee, on several occasions to discuss this matter, as I was informed by cashier/front desk personnel that the salon does not accept returns. Dee was always busy or was gone for the day. Finally, after three attempts, over a five week period, I received a call from the Front Desk Manager, Kayla, who proceeded to tell me that they do not sell defective products, that everything they sell is in good condition when it leaves the store! Way to go Kayla, blame the consumer. Her attitude towards me was very patronizing and she even giggled at my frustration...this does not help!! If you are going to be a "manager" then I suggest some classes on conflict resolution. I asked to speak directly with Dee and was told a message would be passed on. I have my doubts! This is the first review I have ever written because I normally don't get treated like a second class citizen when dealing with products I'm not happy with. I am surprised that a salon owner wouldn't take the time to deal with a conflict directly, but would rather have her twenty-two year old "manager" handle it for her! I did not have an appointment, I had just stumbled upon this business. I asked if I could make an appointment for later in the week, but would love to stay, if someone had time to fit me in. She not only found a stylist for me (color AND cut!!), but continued her service by bringing me a price list for all of the salon services. I had the best experience!! Lacey works magic! I have been going here for years. It is always a great experience. You get greeted every time you walk in, the girls are very friendly. Kayla is always funny and nice. Never a bad mood always smiles. VERY disappointed with this Salon. They hired people as independent contractors which they do not disclose to their consumer. I purchased a set of 3 microdermabrasion from this salon and handed my credit card to an Indulge Med Spa employee to ring me up for $100. Apparently they had problems with this employee and she was let go or quit. Because the employee was a independent contractor the owner Dee told me I had to get my refund from the employee that Indulge would do nothing for me. I tried to get my money from the contractor Tara Younker for MONTHS she refused to give me my money back and continued to make excuses on why she could not refund my money or schedule an appointment for the services I had already paid for. Ultimately I am out $100 and will never get it back. I had made an appointment for a Thursday @ 5:30 pm to get my hair cut. The receptionist called the night before to confirm the apt and said 5 pm. I said no it was for 5:30 pm and she said oh yes there was a 30 after the five but she had a hard time in seeing it. I said I don't get off work until 5, but assured her I would be there between 5:15 and 5:30. she said that would be okay with my hairdresser. I got to the salon at exactly 5:15 pm and she said the hairdresser had left because she didn't think I was going to come in. "What, she's gone! I told you I would be in between 5:15 and 5:30". We went round and round about the time for a minute of two and someone said I could get a cut with someone else. I didn't want a cut with someone else I was there on a reference for this particular hairdresser. Who by the way said "if she shows up have her make an apt for Saturday" I couldn't believe it and now I'm really ticked that someone dropped the ball. No one apologized and especially the hairdresser. She didn't even offer one either to say she was sorry there was a miscommunication somewhere. Well that's okay you just lost a good customer that tips well. One star is too good for the way I was treated. read more
