I liked that Jenny asked for info in advance; I sent an inspiration pic to her and described what I was looking for. So by the time I got to the salon she was prepared. She worked so quickly, and we talked and in no time I was processing. I was stunned- my color is amazing! I've never had such natural-looking highlights. The salon is clean with a modern and comfortable vibe. It's not overdone like so many places. If you're looking for a stylist who is highly skilled in the craft, look no further! Vivian is absolutely incredible!! I've seen her a few times now, and she is always extremely attentive, really listens to my requests, and makes sure I get the exact color/cut I was striving for. This time I wanted a bit of a complicated color pattern (blonde halo with brown on the top, and raccoon tails in the front) with a shag cut, so she allotted her whole day to making sure my hair came out exactly as envisioned. My hair has also been pretty damaged and thinned from years of bleaching and dying it myself at home, but she was patient and made sure to lighten my hair in the safest way possible, treating my hair to strengthen it along the way. After hours of working on my hair, she even went back in at the end because she wasn't satisfied with the richness of the brown, which was a thoughtful touch. The whole service was somewhere around 8 hours long, and Vivian was extremely easy to chat with and be around for the full thing. I genuinely enjoy my time with her each time I visit, and I recommend her to anyone looking for a cut/color, especially if you're looking for anything alternative! What a great salon! It is such a spacious, open, clean, friendly environment! I come here to see my hair artist Vivian! I've been with her for a few years now! And I have followed her all over as her business and clientele grows and grows, and will Continue to! Vivian everytime gets it just right with my hair! She knows exactly what I like, and has always listened to my hair concerns and hesitations and respected what I want to do with my hair cut wise, color wise, (hesitations from previous bad experience elsewhere, and my own fear of sitting in a salon chair and getting all my hair chopped off). When I met Vivian, I had long dry dead hair and found her at random to do an pricey treatment that I thought I needed to quick fix my hair, and when I sat in her chair and met her, she educated me on why I didn't need all that, and gave me advise on what would actually help and what not to do. She never once pressured me to chop my hair, and over months we did tiny bits at a time so I could feel comfortable and ready on my own terms to have shorter but healthier hair. She could have tried to upsell me and send me on my way, instead she took the time to teach me and make me a comfortable client in her chair. Flash foward, I have been with Vivian for so long now, my hair is the healthiest it has EVER been in 19 years!! She makes you feel like a friend in her chair! I trust her with everything! and by now I tell her to do whatever she thinks is best and looks good on my hair! (Within my cut and color goals of course still) and she more than delivers every time!! I'm a hair noob and She continues to educate me on product and styling and tips and point me in the right direction to continue at home! I have been going to Kathy at Shear Reflections for over a year and every single time I leave extremely impressed with my hair cut. But this time truly blew me away. I had some pretty high expectations but she was able to completely exceed my expectations. There are not enough good things I can say about Kathy. I LOVE my hair cut and I had her do a blonde balayage this time. My hair was completely all natural virgin hair (after years of growing out the blonde I used to have) and I finally decided to go back to being blonde. I absolutely love my hair now, I love the results she was able to achieve. Not only is my hair absolutely gorgeous but she was also able to maintain the integrity and health of my hair which is EXTREMELY important to me. The prices at this salon are unheard of as well (Previously I regularly went to my stylist and would pay upwards of $270 every time). The prices are extremely reasonable, the quality of work of Kathy is unbeatable. I will continue seeing her for years to come certainly. I will definitely be back. Drove over for an appointment here only to find out that the stylist had quit many weeks ago and nobody was available to tackle the job in their place, nor was the appointment valid any longer. Was given some backhanded apology about how they "only" gave two weeks notice and that wasn't enough time to call all of her clients and let them know. Seriously? The appointment system here is completely centralized, so anyone could gone through the appointments and called to let customers know. If the stylist didn't have time, the owner should have stepped in. The fact that they didn't is pure laziness on their part and shows a complete lack of empathy for the customer, plain and simple. It's also a somewhat ironic cop out, since they always have plenty of time to call and confirm the appointment the day before or the day of. One would think that if you wanted to keep your clients when a stylist leaves your shop, the astute business owner would make sure the customer finds out sometime -before- they wander into the salon and make a fool of themselves asking for someone that hasn't worked there in weeks (at least), expecting to get their hair cut. To wit, the owner did not even offer to set us up with another appointment or suggest another stylist, she just let us walk out the door after several years of doing business with them on a regular basis. Wow, just wow. Gladly taking our business somewhere else and cannot recommend them. read more

I was in a pinch to get a haircut when I found Shear Reflections. I called and was offered an appointment within a couple of hours with Andrea. When I arrived Andrea was ready for me. She asked me how I wanted it cut and how I normally wear it. I am very impressed with the haircut I received and I am sure it is because Andrea took the time to understand me and my needs. The price was very reasonable, so along with the quick availability and a great haircut I would highly recommend the salon and Andrea to other women who don't want a "dollar store" haircut. ********update to review********* After styling my hair myself for a couple of days, I realized I didn't receive the great cut as I first thought. From a search on google I was looking for a hair salon that had good reviews and wouldn't mess up my hair. My hair is very long and I was concerned that I would regret my haircut, which is what usually happens when I go to a salon so I avoid a haircut like my life depends on it. I was pleased when I walked in the door to a clean environment that was neatly decorated without a bunch of "baggage" around the front to sell and promote. The last salon in my area that I went to I wasn't sure if I walked into a thrift store or a salon. The young lady at the reception desk created me right away with a warm smile that said I am happy you're here! She ended up being my stylist. She sat me down and got right to asking me what I wanted. She covered all of my concerns, how my hair is normally done and what I wanted my end result to look like. I explained that I wanted to keep as much length as I could but be able to run my fingers through my hair without tangling and to actually have a style! She absolutely listened and consulted with me through the whole process so I knew what was happening and made sure what was being cut off was okay. There wasn't a lot of stress, I didn't have to make conversation happen (I was so stressed about someone new cutting my hair I could barely talk) she was smiling the whole time and really seemed to enjoy what she did. I did discover that she was one of the daughters of the owner and she did an absolutely fantastic job. She did such a good job I plan to go back for another hair cut! read more
