The person I spoke with assured me that they could and said he personally handled children's cuts. His name was Christian. I booked the appointment for Saturday, October 11th, at 11a, and mentioned I had a photo reference of the style I wanted. He said that would be perfect to share at the appointment. Fast forward to the appointment: I arrived around 10:45a with my son. We were neither greeted nor acknowledged (red flag #1). I understand it's an all male barbershop, but as a mom walking in with a young child, a simple "Hi" or "Welcome" would have gone a long way. Moments later, a male customer entered and was warmly greeted with, "Hey, welcome to the shop, we'll be right with you" (red flag #2). A few minutes later, a barber approached and confirmed I was there for my son's appointment. He introduced himself as Christian and said he'd be with us shortly. To his credit, the appointment started right on time, and I did notice him cleaning his tools and workspace before calling us over. That's the one star. Once my son was seated, I showed Christian the photo of the haircut I wanted. I also told him my son had hurt his ear earlier that morning and asked that he be gentle around that area. He acknowledged and began working. However, as he started cutting, I noticed he was going much shorter than the reference photo. I showed him the picture again, and he said he'd stay at a "2," yet continued cutting shorter (red flag #3). By the time I stopped him, my son's hair was already down to a "1"completely different from what I had requested. To make matters worse, Christian continued touching my son's sensitive ear despite my earlier warning. My son was becoming restless, and I finally asked him to stop. Christian insisted on "just finishing the top," and although I agreed, I clearly said not to cut it short. He nodded, then proceeded to do exactly that. He ultimately charged $20, explaining it wasn't a "full service." Honestly, I should have refused to pay given the botched result. My son's haircut was nothing like the photo, and the entire experience felt careless and dismissive. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this barbershop. I strongly advise parents of young children (especially mom's) to avoid bringing their kids here unless they're okay with botched cuts and sexist behaviors.

Even with styling, it's not what I asked for and his hair is too short.

I booked two 60-minute head spa massage appointments with blow-dry--one for myself and one as a birthday gift for my friend at the Carson location. When I called, no one answered. They later texted me, and I specifically asked if they had two appointments scheduled. I was told yes. I only received one confirmation email, but I trusted that both appointments were confirmed. When we arrived, there seemed to be some confusion about our appointments. The setting was also very different from what I expected from a salon/spa. It is located in an office-type space in a somewhat vacant building, rather than what I would consider a traditional salon or spa environment. My friend was taken back first and had her hair washed, but water was getting all over her face. Products were applied to her hair, and then we switched so they could start on my hair. I experienced the same issue with water getting on my face. We were then left sitting for quite a while. I eventually asked about the massage portion of the service and was told that I had not booked that type of appointment. After they discussed it among themselves, they took my friend into another room with a massage bed. The bed itself was very uncomfortable for her when it was turned on. Someone else wet her hair, but there was no actual head or scalp massage performed. At that point, we were ready to leave, but decided to stay and see if they could complete the services. After my friend's "massage," they attempted to style her hair. Her hair was blow-dried and a very large amount of hairspray was applied. For my service, they eventually rinsed whatever product had been put in my hair, then only partially blow-dried it. By this point, we had been there for approximately three hours. I was tired and simply asked them to leave my hair somewhat wet so we could leave. I'm sharing this because I think it's important for people to know what the experience and setting are actually like before making a reservation. If you are expecting a traditional salon or spa atmosphere and a 60-minute head spa massage experience, I would recommend confirming exactly what the appointment includes and what the location is like beforehand. This review is simply based on my personal experience. I hope it helps others make an informed decision when booking.
