This was my first time getting my hair cut here and lemme put yall on, I got my haircut by Valorie and she was really nice and talked to me about what I wanted to do. I hadn't got my hair cut done in a year and was really scared they might cut too much off, Valorie asked how much I would like off and showed me if that amount was good. She was really considerate and her work is one of the best. On top of that the price was reasonable and I didn't feel like I got ripped off. I stopped by for a walk in Updo and was quickly greeted by the courteous staff. I showed a photo of the style I wanted to the stylist and she quickly started. An hour later after she was done curling my hair and the braid I realized it was nothing like what I asked for. She tried a second time to make a better braid (which is the photo I included) and by that time I just wanted to get out of there since I had a wedding to attend. I wasted over an hour and $65 for a sloppy braid that unraveled just minutes after I drove away. I'm very disappointed with the work and will be reaching out to management. read more

Haircut and blow runs approx $50 depending on length and ... I was recommended by my neighbor and have gotten haircuts by Cathy Doty twice. Both appointments have been pleasant experiences, she talks a good conversation and leaves me feeling elegant. My last haircut was an A-line bob and I felt she is an experienced hairdresser and good at what she does. She also told me I could return for any touch-up cuts if something felt awkward, I don't feel she'd be offended or bothered if I wasn't satisfied. My 1st visit she left it at an longer length to be safe which worked out & my 2nd visit was more drastic since I was so happy with my 1st. Let me start off by saying that .. I don't write many reviews but i felt the need to do so with this one. when I called to make a last minute appointment the ladies there worked really hard in finding me an appt. although I insisted to go else where, they were adamant about seeing me. As soon as I got in I was able to wait a few minutes and got in the chair. My instructions were very easy, cut off a few inches off and I wanted long layers. The hair stylist (Val) asked how I wanted the layers and we proceeded. She asked if I wanted my hair blow dried or styled I told her no to both. MIND YOU - I HAD NOT CUT MY HAIR IN TWO YEARS!! Because of the last stylist who MESSED UP MY HAIR. TWO YEARS I WAS NOT ABLE TO TRUST ANYONE WITH MY HAIR After she cut it, she had another client waiting, my hair was still wet so I did not notice the discrepancy until I was half way home. When I noticed it I cried all the way home. I don't doubt this is not a good salon, but my experience was less than horrible. I drove from Corona to Lakewood to get my hair colored by her & I don't regret it. I just love my new hair. I told Vanessa that I wanted my roots natural, but the rest blonde. She was able to make my hair transition from my brown roots to beautiful white tips. I am so obsessed with the blonde she gave me. A trip to the salon usually fills me with anxiety. You'd be surprised how many licensed beauticians can butcher some bangs! So when I moved, I put off the hunt for a new go to hair place for as long as possible. But a girl can only tolerate shaggy bangs and obvious roots for so long. I woke up one morning and couldn't stand my hair another day. I was able to get in here and see Abby, who fixed my hair right up! She asked all the right questions and did a great job re-doing my highlights and lightening my hair. Also, Abby does not butcher bangs! She also had some great tips on how to detangle my hair and maintenance for my color. Most important thing, my hair looked stellar when I left. This was an anxiety-free trip to the salon! It was pretty affordable too, even though I have really long and thick hair, which can run up a pricey tab for color services.
