This is an awesome place. Located in a hip strip area with easy parking for happy hour. Indoor and outdoor seating- we opted for the indoor since the sun was still up and it was a little humid. Wanted a place we could watch the Astros, the Rangers and the Blue Jays all at the same time. We found the place! Many many TVs and two very nice long bars with ample seating. We picked a perfect spot in a half Moon booth that faced your own personal 55 inch television. It even had speakers in the booth. Awesome service from a great friendly and very attentive server. We only wanted appetizers and selected wings and shrimp corn dogs so can't comment on the extensive menu. Casual atmosphere with young to middle-age adults. When the sun is setting they opened up the accordion windows and it was really nice to sit in a semi indoor outdoor spot. Couldn't recommend this place anymore. read more

I've now been here two times. The first was at night and there was a complete bar feel. The drinks are reasonably priced, and if the weather is nice it is a really cool patio vibe. Yesterday I stopped in for a late lunch. We ordered mimosas and Cap'n Crunch cereal crusted chicken and waffles. I just don't know where to start with this place. Sorely disappointed and will never go back...Let's start there. Quick Note: I eat out at restaurants 7 DAYS A WEEK so I am confident in my review. This was one of the worst places I have ever been served at. It is very pretty to look at, lots of character, bright TVs and great bones but it has little substance and is just two steps off of a strip club (actually I have been to a lot classier adult establishments than this restaurant). The night that I visited this restaurant there was no wait and the restaurant STARTED off slow, so I would expect that the service would not take a long time and my food would be hot. Well not so much: 1. the server was just alright but had to ask me three times for my correct food order as well as my drink order. Maybe she was new but nonetheless, i will give her a pass for trying. The service industry is hard. 2. The food was cheap and cold. A 5 year old could have produced the bland and cold wings with a ladle of overly sweet "Thai Chilli Sauce" lathered over it. 3. The drinks were thin and unbalanced so I ordered a beer on my next one (simple Shiner) 4. At around 10 in the evening, (I arrived around 9:30) the music from the DJ came on and although I AM a Hip-Hop head, the versions of the tracks that he played were just not appropriate for the environment. I was completely thrown off and offended but the type of swear words that came off the ENTIRE TRACK listing. In no way was this acceptable in an open air, public RESTAURANT. If you want o make it a club where people have to pay admission to listen to this music, so be it. But to be verbally assaulted by the language without my consent was not cool. Down right tacky. Came here to celebrate my friend's graduation from her Masters. I was aware this placed recently opened and was expecting it to be crowded which it was. Parking was a beast finding but I got lucky. This bar is really big. Loved the decor. Love the fact there are cops everywhere in this bar ;-). We were lucky enough to find a booth on the patio where there were plenty of outdoor heaters so we weren't freezing. Getting a drink at the bar can take a very long time. My friend and I were waiting at the bar to get a drink and the bar tender kept overlooking us. Even with both of us waving him down. I know we aren't that short! Come on now! He was asking everyone else around us what they wanted to drink but us. He overlooked us 4 times. Someone next to us told us "Good Luck in getting a drink here, this bartender is really slow". Well, he was slow but also being a jerk in not asking us what we wanted. We moved on to the next bartender who was actually really nice and served our drinks quick. While catching up with my girls, the DJ was spinning some great music from top 40s to old school hip hop. The Reservoir seems to be having an identity crisis. I personally love both sports bars and upscale restaurants, but I don't think you can be both at the same time. The decor suggests a high-end smokehouse. The patio is lovely and the bar is very nice. The menu is unusual and well developed. Prices are above average, which would be fine with me if the service were above average as well. However, the staff was...well, horrendous. (Unprofessional but arrogant is not a good combination.) The only smile I saw was from the guy who opened the door. Our server was flat-out rude. The manager was busy giving back-rubs to waitresses behind the bar. I was delighted to see a blueberry mojito on the menu. Don't bother. It's a Sprite with stuff floating in it. On a weeknight, the music was too loud to hold a conversation inside. Worst service ever! We've been here before and its not the best but it's not bad but this Sunday afternoon was just the worst. We had a party of three and the place was not busy at all, we were seated immediately but waited about 15min for someone to walk over and take our drink order. The waitress took our drink order and we also asked for an appetizer she brought our beers but thirty minutes had gone by and our app still wasn't out and our waitress was nowhere to be found. She finally came back with plates for our appetizer but no food. We told her we were ready to order but she said the kitchen was really small and they were really backed up so we couldn't put in an order. WTF. Why would you even bother having a food menu when you're not going to let customers order?! At that point we were starving so we decided to pay our tab (which included the appetizer we never got) and leave. read more

Service horrible waited literally 20+minutes for our drink order...my wife chicken sandwich was absolutely wrong 100% supposed to have been grilled but came out fried....ridiculously salty bad bad bad(would have sent back but knew it would take forever to get it back and even then no guarantee sit would be correct)..my philly steak sandwich (which I've had before) meat burnt and not that much on it for $12...fries best part of the meal...be a LONG LONG time before we go back...this post I realize will do no good but I can always hope management will see and train/ retrain staff as well as cooks... read more

Reservoir was a disappointment. I went with friends to try Reservoir after a recommendation from another friend. The experience started terribly. There was no parking anywhere and we were told that the valet showed up late so there was no valet. While trying to park, my friend sat inside with no acknowledgment to order a drink for about 10 minutes. After so many frustrations, we got a drink and decided to try to be open minded since they were newly opened. We had pleasant service from an energetic, but busy Brittany. We started with a crab and lobster dip. It was pretty tasty. We had to order more bread ( which was just ok) to finish the fairly good sized amount of dip. For dinner I ordered the seared ahi salad. It was a terrible choice. The lettuce was a pre mixed bag of chopped romaine ( the typical one that comes with a few shreds of carrots and purple cabbage). It was chopped so fine, it reminded me of a school cafeteria salad. On top was an unappetizing, barely seared tuna which had no flavor. It was supposed to have Asian vegetables on it and I asked for no bell peppers so it came with no vegetables. The "wasabi dressing" was nothing more than wasabi paste mixed in with mayonnaise. My husband, on the other hand, ordered the chicken fried ribeye which came with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. His meal was delicious with a nice kick to the Mac and cheese and gravy on the crispy chicken fried steak. Our friends ordered a Hawaiian pizza and nachos. The nachos were a pile of tortilla chips with lettuce on top. There was hardly any cheese or chili at all. They finally had to order more to put on top so they could finish the nachos and they had no salsa to offer. My friends did enjoy their pizza though. I know this place is new so I can forgive some of the initial frustrations such as no valet and no service in the beginning. But it is hard to forgive the food issues. Paying $14 for a salad that was completely unappetizing irritates me. I regret that I didn't take any pictures of my food, but nothing looked Instagram worthy. I plan to give Reservoir one more chance in the future because I liked the atmosphere and because my husband's entree was delicious. 50% of our food was good. I wish I could give 2.5 stars. I went with three because the servers were trying hard. Hopefully the taste and quality of the food will improve by the next time I try Reservoir. read more

This is a hard review to write. I truly love the atmosphere. One of the best patios in Fort Worth. The food is actually decent. Not fantastic, but I am a fan of the captain crunch chicken! But I will be honest, the service is slow and they act like they don't care they are slow. My wife and I have been here multiple times and it's the same every time. Chairs were wobbly and torn up. Felt unsafe sitting on one. Our server was nice but she never took the menus off the table nor our empty plates. We ordered another round and sat there for 30 minutes with our empty plates in front of us which wouldn't necessarily be a big deal if they weren't so large and bulky. The menus and plates at the same time sort of made the table feel cluttered and it drove me nuts. It wasn't busy either. In fact at one point my table was one of the only 3 in their at 6pm on a friday. It was December 23rd though. It picked up a little later. Food was excellent. This waffle fries with everything on them were fantastic. The Mac and cheese was gooey and delicious. I loved my sweet potato fries and the pineapple relish that came with it had a nice kick. The bruchetta with goat cheese was good, it came on a plate with a bowl in the middle that had what appeared to be a life time supply of tomatoes chopped into it. I've been in here on a couple of occasions now with similar results: it's a slick build out -- very slick -- replete with acres of flat screens, some very inviting patio space, a pair of dueling bars, and lots and lots of bustle. I've now been in once late night and once at a fairly early hour, and absent the late night DJ, the vibe of the room was pretty much the same. I believe it's not an exaggeration when I suggest the vibe as 'up tempo.' The room plays thin and long, and the acoustics, as you might imagine, don't mute much (with the exception of what filters into the dark of night with the patio outside), so it can get a little loud. Beer selections, with some minor variance, are pretty standard and not particularly inventive, but hope springs eternal. I've yet to eat here, so perhaps that makes for some re-review fodder down the road: in the mean time, it's definitely a beautiful build out. With a slightly more customized approach to the fare (by my take), they might really be onto something. read more

If you are wanting to watch a game with your friends while also having some fancy drinks and taking pictures for your facebook, this is the place to be! Definitely a place to "be seen", and to see some cute waitresses. The food is kind of fancy, which fits with the vibe. I was disappointed that they did not have vegetarian options. Basically, if you don't eat meat, you order the ham and cheese with no ham. (Story of my life) Sitting in this swank booth, I was wishing they had at something besides a grilled cheese. The bar has good service, even on a slammed night. The bar staff are also quite friendly. Seating can sometimes be an issue. Reservoir has great booths with private TVs. If you're going to watch a game, make sure to get there early because the booths fill up quickly. On nice days, the patio is a great place to have a drink and share some apps with friends. The location of Reservoir is right off 7th street so it's an ideal place to start or end a restaurant/bar hopping adventure. It can get overrun with TCU students at night. The food selection is a step above typical bar food in that I don't feel completely greasy. I've had their buffalo wrap and grilled cheese. The Parmesan fries are the best part of each meal I've had! I'd highly recommend their hummus as it has a touch of Sriracha and guacamole. They have a great beer selection as well as a number of unique cocktails. Service is decent, even when it's busy. Price is a little above average probably because of the location/ambiance. Parking is a nightmare as it shares a parking lot with several other busy restaurants. There are several garages that are a good option if you can't find a spot in front of the restaurant. read more

Awful people. Pass your way. I was treated with much disrespect and in a criminal way. I went there on a Wednesday night with a few collegues to have a beer and chat. Nothing like crazy night out. I am at the bar having my drink, I engage conversation with my neighbors. After few minutes, I head back to our table but on my way, I exchange a few words to a girl at another table. One of the guys from that group starts talking about another woman sitting there and he insists with the fact she is his wife (to whom, btw, I haven't said a word...). I go back to my table and 2 minutes later the bouncer asks me to leave the bar. I ask why, he just says I have to leave, then adds that I am supposedly too drunk (even though I did nothing that would lead anyone to believe that). I am being escorted outside without being able to pick up my jacket. The problem is: it's 15F outside! I asked to at least be allowed in the anti chamber, where they checked our id in, so I can wait for my ride back. No, they make me wait 5 min by 15F without any warm clothes on. Either the bouncers have a severe lack of jugment (You can't throw out a regular customer out for no reason and expose people to pneumonia like this), or they were bribed to do so. Either way, they should be fired and the managment should be more careful about who they hire. People behaving like this should not be involved in business. Pass your way. read more

Great Scene! This place is a bar, but they have some pretty good food for a pub. We had the meatloaf pie (pizza) and the baby back ribs. Both were exceptional. The wait staff was great. The prices are pretty good. I had a margarita and it had ample alcohol. I really like the set up of the dining room/bar. Otherwise, on the weekends, this place is overly crowded with young college kids, there is always a line for the bathroom, and a wait for your drinks if you're ordering at the bar. I showed up with 3 friends from Texas and 1 from Arkansas to watch the Arkansas game being played in Dallas. At 23 years old both my Arkansas friend and I were denied a drink. Not only was I denied, our server took 15 minutes both to tell us she wouldn't accept our ID's, and give my other friends a beer. When I then asked to speak to the manager we waited 20 minutes and he/she never came. I've honestly never seen worse service. I'm 6'4, have a beard, 23 years old with a legal ID from a state that borders Texas, and I can't be served at this place. I'm honestly embarrassed for this restaurant. It's an overall nice setting but the TVs are WAY WAY too loud and it's hard to hear your date. The server had no knowledge or experience on what the food tastes. I asked about what she thought on a particular plate and her expression of annoyance turned me off. My boyfriend was slightly indecisive and her postured changed to complete impatience. The ribs were terrible. Fatty and over saturated with BBQ sauce. The corn was dry and over seasoned. Not sure I'll be coming back. Visited Reservoir yesterday for the first time for happy hour. I fell in love! Place wasn't too packed and definitely wasn't full of TCU frat boys like I had been warned about. There were tons of TVs everywhere and although we sat inside, I noticed a pretty large patio. We came in around 6pm on a Friday, so my waitress wasn't super busy with other tables and very attentive to us. My friend and I didn't want a full meal, but just wanted to kill a bit of time before heading to the Modern. We settled on appetizers and dessert, so she ordered the chips & queso and the strawberry mojito which was super yummy and I ordered the lobster + crab dip and sweet baby Jesus, it's good! Was as good as fresh crab dip I've had in Maryland. I def recommend it. Lots of flavor! I was also delighted to find a white wine sangria on the menu so I ordered it and it was great as well. Strong, just like I lik my drinks :) We finished off by splitting the pecan cobbler and I could not put my spoon down. So. damn. good. It was the perfect warm temperature and the ice cream on top complimented it perfectly. The waitress recommended it and I'm glad she did. It was quite the sweet treat! I definitely want to visit again for brunch and even give this place a try at a later timeframe on the weekend. It always seems to be poppin' when I'm in the 7th St area. I really liked the feel of this place. The margarita I ordered was very delicious and the right size for the right price. I got the fish tacos which I thought were ok. The fish seemed bland , and it tasted like the sauce on top was supposed to make up for the flavorless fish. It just didn't really go together well for me. The pizza was very good though. I am usually a huge fan of Reservoir. It is one of the better places on West 7th for food and drink. I was in recently after the 2nd re-opening becuse of COVID. I was severely dissapointed by the lack of COVID precautions taken this time around. Tables were spaced out accordingly but there was no one to ensure that the establishment stayed at capacity. Plenty of people just standing around waiting for a table to come available. I understand it is hard to enforce mask wearing of patrons but I only saw a handful of people walking around from their table with their mask. And lastly, I'm not sure of the laws about dogs inside of restaurants, but a patron brought his dog in sat at the bar, after which I saw a staff member pet said dog and then continue his job behind the bar (with maybe hand sanitizer in between). I really hope that Reservoir makes some changes before we go back. read more

We came for Sunday brunch. We expected it to be much lower key than the typical loud, crowded bar scene. It was definitely less crowded-probably 8 tables at 11am. But they had the music WAY too loud for brunch. We had to really raise our voices to hear each other sitting in our booth. We asked them to turn the music lower, which they obliged happily. Very friendly staff. We ordered Captain Cruch waffles with chicken strips, Chicken Fried Steak, and Blackberry Ham & Applewood bacon atop French toast. Presentation was good. BUT, I'm sorry to say that our meal and experience was an absolute disaster! I NEVER complain about food or restaurants, but from the time we entered The Reservoir we were miserable. There was a four inch blonde hair prominently displayed on the waffles. The chicken strip was tasty but the waffle was average. The chicken fried steak was almost completely inedible. My husband couldn't chew the steak..when he had finished with trying to eat it, the plate was stacked with enough pieces of fat and gristle to feed a full grown wolf! The Blackberry Ham & French toast was good...not great. $50 for brunch for three people is not a bad price if the food and atmosphere is good, but not when you have a less than average experience. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Will not be coming back for brunch. read more
