I loved this place, cool vibe, awesome patio. Our server was attentive and recommended some delicious appetizers. The frog fries are spectacular and my tacos spicy. Burrito was off the chain good

The burgers are solid, beer cold, Roger's sauce is the best condiment, pretty awesome ice cream sandwiches, live music, great sunsets, and friendly staff...it's just a place you want to be with your dog/family/friends to end the week and start your weekend!

In town for the Tuesday night Rush concert. Nice place to take the family for dinner. Kids had the smash burgers, I had the RM burrito. And a cold draft beer.

Rogers Roundhouse is tucked away just south of I-30--on Roger(s) Street of all places--and it's absolutely worth finding. We came in hungry and thirsty and were not disappointed. Beers were ice-cold and served in oversized "goblets," which was a fun touch. The food was A+ across the board. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, which had the perfect meat-to-veggie ratio. The bun was toasted but still soft, and the shoestring fries were served with a side of their house Roger Sauce (yum). My husband had the turkey club, piled high with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, jalapeños, and perfectly melted cheese. We also ordered 2 lbs of Buffalo wings (not pictured) that were inhaled by my son before they even hit the table--always a good sign. The vibe is cool, trendy, and relaxed, especially for this part of town. Outdoor seating is pet- and kid-friendly, and the staff was friendly and provided quick service. Overall, a great place to hang out before heading to the south side of Funky Town. We'll definitely be back.

Our group, Life, convened on a Wednesday evening. We enjoyed the ambiance of the patio area and the baseball game. The food was promptly served, an ideal time for a large gathering. The service provided by the restaurant was exemplary, demonstrating our satisfaction with the quality of the product. We plan to return for future occasions. Our waiter, Quintin, was outstanding.

We were visiting from out of town and chose this place bc it was close to where we were staying and was dog friendly. Our server, Bre, was so nice! She even brought out a clean water bowl and fresh water for our pup that we brought. The service was phenomenal. Loved how personable and attentive Bre was. Our food came out quick, was fresh and we had everything we needed. The restrooms were even impeccably clean! Next time we're in town, we'll definitely come back!

This place feels like one of those hidden gems you almost want to gatekeep. The location is a little tucked away, but that actually makes the patio experience so much better since you are not hearing constant traffic or cars passing by. They also have a huge patio and a gravel outdoor area that is dog friendly, which makes it a great spot to hang out for a while. It is definitely one of those places where you can enjoy some sunshine, eat good food, and watch sports since they have multiple TVs set up outside. From the moment we sat down, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The whole place had a welcoming, homey vibe and our drinks were never empty. They were always checking in at the right moment without hovering. The food also came out impressively fast, about 15 to 20 minutes. While we waited we had an order of fried pickles that were perfectly crisp and tasted super fresh. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was excellent. So many places overcook the meat, but this one was juicy and flavorful. The grilled veggies still had a nice crunch and were not soggy or limp. I ordered onion strips as my side and was pleasantly surprised when a generous pile arrived at the table. My husband went with the burger and said it tasted very fresh. The fries were crispy and cooked just right. The cocktails were great and the beer was ice cold and crisp. We actually discovered this spot on our way back from the Fort Worth Zoo and it ended up being such a great find. Definitely worth making the drive from Dallas. We will absolutely be back and would recommend it to friends and family.

Came here for the first time last night after an event at Dickies Arena. Cute space- especially the outside. Our server was great. I sadly cannot remember her name but she told me she was just a few days out of training. Any questions she didn't have answers to she found out and she was extremely attentive throughout the night. I was bummed they couldn't put on the wnba game i wanted to watch. Apparently if its not on their list they cant show it. I assume its just a list of games on the channels they have but it was a bummer. It would be great if they had mocktails on the menu or a hard cider. Tried to get a cocktail as a mocktail but it didn't work out, which was fine, i just ordered it the way it came and i didn't enjoy it. (Crimson cooler). I also ordered the nachos with a side of guac. I am not a fan of fresh jalapeño slices on nachos, pickled are so much better. Also, the plate is massive and the sour cream given is not nearly enough. Overall it was a decent spot, clearly i didn't try many things but would i come back given the experience i had, probably not. There are more spots to try out. Also- y'all need a wings flag up on that wall.

    Large beer selection.

Vibes? Immaculate. Food? Rich and glorious. We checked out this spot today, and let me tell you--the patio is a whole mood. Plenty of covered seating, a cool gravel floor that gives it a laid-back vibe, and a mix of college kids, families, and friend groups just kicking back and having a great time. Service? On point. No complaints there. And the food? Definitely above average for a beer garden--rich, hearty, and unapologetically indulgent (as it should be). Big bonus: TVs everywhere, locked into various sports channels, so you won't miss a play. The patio is also dog-friendly, which is always a win. Just a heads-up--lots of kids running around, so keep an eye on your pups!

We came here in August 2024 after a concert at nearby Dickies Arena. The staff warmly greeted us and we sat at the bar. The beer was good and cold and went down nicely after a long hot day. The nachos we ordered were spectacular. They were loaded down with fresh ingredients. The pico de gallo and fresh jalapeño slices were great as was the queso fresco. The pile of goodness tasted fresh and clean - and the chicken we added was also delicious. The kitchen did a great job of making sure that the toppings were all throughout the layers. For the food and service and ambiance - we would definitely return.

We ordered nachos as an appetizer to split, along with two beers and a kids meal. What arrived was Motley Crue waking from a drug binge, raiding the pantry and trash, then declaring "let's do it." What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.

Fantastic choice! The menu is very "urban hipster" vibes. Plenty of burgers, lots of fun appetizers, charcuterie, one of my friends has some dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her needs which made us all very happy. This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! If you're in the area already or if you're thinking of branching out for a nice new burger spot, this place is great and I will be returning. I live nearby so it'll likely become part of the regular rotation for us in the coming months. We are spoiled for choice in this area when it comes to good burgers being close to Grumps, close to Kincaid's, and close to Tommy's up on Camp Bowie. But this place competes on good burgers and if you're looking for a fun hangout atmosphere, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Easily recommended! Give them a try, I don't think you'll regret it! Cheers!

I called a girlfriend and told her I'd found a new spot: wine, charcuterie boards, and live music. Sounded like a perfect evening. When we arrived, a young employee did her best to find the hostess and get us seated. After a few minutes, she honestly seemed more flustered than we were, she apologized and offered to seat us herself. We got settled, I ordered a margarita, and then I noticed a large dog roaming around. No leash, no owner in sight. (Later found out the owner owns the bar, the regulars are very familiar with the dog) I looked down at the menu, then looked back up, and the dog was literally face-to-face with me. We got up to leave immediately. A dog-friendly patio? Sure. That's completely fine. But allowing a dog to freely roam throughout both the outdoor patio and the covered upstairs area is baffling to me. (My last visit a dog was on the table, I assumed the young staff just didn't know how to approach the situation, but tonight shows this is how Hideaway operates day in and day out) When I explained my concern to the waitress, she said she understood and asked me to close out my tab for the one margarita I had just ordered and hadn't touched. No ma'am. I'd been there less than ten minutes, and for me, this crossed a line. Clearly, some guests enjoyed it. I saw people petting the dog and calling it over. Different preferences, and that's their choice. But mine is different. I won't be back, and if I recommend this place to anyone, it will come with a warning: dogs aren't just allowed here- they appear to have free rein of the space, whether that's on tabletops, near your food, or directly in your personal space, whether you want that interaction or not.

Inside, there were several long communal tables that seemed perfect for events and larger groups. I was also impressed by their events calendar and even spotted an upcoming event I'm planning to attend, which makes me excited to come back. On this visit, I tried a glass of wine and the giant pretzel. The pretzel was fresh, soft, and paired nicely with the wine. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the cheese dip. It wasn't bad, but I personally think a simpler cheese sauce would be better. I liked that there was a separate coffee shop area. Cesar salad was loaded with croutons & Parmesan shavings. I personally loved a lot of Parmesan shavings, but could use a bit more lettuce & a little less croutons. The fries are good, nice & crispy. The double-story building is a large, open Texas beer hall that blends modern and traditional saloon styles with an intentionally eclectic, whimsical vibe reminiscent of a theme park. For instance, the bathroom doors look like jail cells with hands on the bars, while the pristine stalls feature portraits of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. I used the Willie Nelson and was "on the commode again". The centerpiece is a huge, three-sided bar adorned with neon signs, vintage Western memorabilia, industrial brewing equipment, and a massive wall of taps. It serves both classics and ready-to-serve frozen drinks, which you can enjoy in the pet-friendly beer garden backyard party. Order you "two pina coladas and hope they fill 'em to the brim if your world is kind of rocky and you need to learn to swim." (That was Garth Brooks or Maya Angelou). The casual, amphitheater-like patio faces an outdoor stage built into the bed of a vintage truck. The live music (even 12:30pm on a Thursday) is loud enough to be festive but managed so you don't have to scream to be heard. The entire area is covered by a massive glass and steel retractable roof, ensuring comfort in any weather, in case you don't "love a rainy night nor think it's such a beautiful sight, and hate to feel the rain on your face, taste the rain on your lips in the moonlight shadows." (That was Eddie Rabbit or SunTzu). The seating options are excellent and varied. Groups can share high-tops around a gas fire or a lit tree, or even sit in kitschy sawed-off pickup truck beds with bench seating. You can also find lounge chairs near the outdoor fireplace, huge swinging benches, and plenty of folding beach chairs on the astroturf. For dining, you can order affordable bar food from a window and receive a pager, so there is no need to "might as well lay down and nap 'cause you've spent half your life just waiting on a nacho." This is not my usual style of restaurant, but some people might find it appealing it. The service was good! Our waitress was nice and got us our food quickly. The restaurant was actually pretty empty for being a Tuesday afternoon. The part that brought my rating down so much was due to the food being very average. My burger did not really taste beefy or char-grilled. Rather, it tasted similar to a frozen patty made at home which I would have enjoyed equally if not maybe more. The fries were not enjoyable to me at all. Fries are my number one comfort food and it hurt me to have to leave most of them on the plate to be trashed, but I just couldn't get them down. I'm not sure if the made the BBQ sauce in house or not, but it was overly smokey and I couldn't eat that either. Normally this wouldn't bother me so much, but my bill came to over $20 for just a burger and fries. It was very overpriced for something that was half not enjoyable and half average. I would not come back.
