As someone who worked here and ate here, don't. Terrible management who does not take accountability and leaves servers to figure out a shift on their own. It's like no one is running the place at all with zero back bone. It's like Cracker Barrel but modern and they try to hide their racist backhanded attitude towards the people of color. Glad I'm gone. Solid place to have some beer, watch a game, and have some ridiculous amounts of food and relax. I've been here twice, both during happy hour, which doesn't just occur during the weekdays, but it's also all day on Sunday. The serving size is enough to feed 2 or 3 or enough to take home and eat for the next day. Service is always nice, friendly and welcoming. Can't complain about any of it. We also never usually have to wait for a table. There's plenty of seating. read more

We came here for Trivia Tuesday, which is the only reason I ended up going twice. I definitely don't plan to go back. The food was just alright. I had a cheeseburger and fries, nothing special. The cola was watery, and when I asked for a fresh one, I got some weird looks. I explained that it tasted like the syrup needed to be changed. They told me it was a new box, but I don't like the taste of CO2-heavy drinks, so I just asked for a Sprite instead. That was fine. Overall, the service was pretty bad. No one really checked on us, and we had to wave someone down any time we needed something. What made it worse was watching our server give completely different service to a nearby table. She sat with them for a while, so I'm guessing they were friends. I don't recommend this place. read more

Suggested by a friend to meet up at Old Texas Brewing. I figured we'd have a couple of drinks and some "bar food" Was not expecting what we found. Passion may be one of the best Bartenders in Ft. Worth. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you sit at the Bar, you can enjoy the Ice Rail - Looks cool - works better. Lots of beer on Tap, and also a full-service bar. The apps and food are actually better than a lot of restaurants - very good. We were there for Trivia Night. The only thing I would suggest would be to work on the audio for that. Loud enough, maybe too loud, but about 30% unintelligible. Overall, a great place that I would recommend, and not hesitate to return to. read more

Service was very lacking considering there were only about 20 people in the whole restaurant. It was taking 15+ minutes for my husband to get his beer and our server did not check on us very much. Offered water and brought him treats. Had areas in the shade if needed. * The beer they had was cold. More on that later. * Service was friendly, and she had a good sense of humor. Unfortunately I was only able to get out for one burger during Fort Worth burger week and it was at Old Texas Brewing. When I arrived at about Noon on Sunday it was moderately busy with a brunch crowd, but I was able to have a seat at the bar no problem. The bartender was nice and got my beer too me quickly and it was a delicious stout they have on draft but when I asked what the burger was for burger week she didn't describe it very well but I ordered it anyway even though she took awhilet to comeback and take my order, it was basically a cheeseburger with an onion ring on it and some sort of Chipotle sauce which made it quite obvious that the restaurant wasn't trying very hard to be original or unique for burger week cause this burger clearly lacked effort. Overall this place seems like a nice spot to come and have some drinks with friends especially on a nice weather day as they have ample outdoor seating, and various specials offered throughout the week. It's worth a try to check it out, the verdict is still out on the food read more

What ruined the experience was having to listen to a waitress on her phone outside while I'm getting ready to leave and her speaking about vd and other sexuality explicit things right outside the side exit. The food is overpriced for majority of the items, and I would NOT recommend the BBQ items. I've gotten the sausage and it was cold. This time around, I had the 10pc bone-in wings. Sauce was awesome, but it was 14.99 without sides. CRAZY. They seem to only have only two or three receivers for all the TV's and switch the channels in the middle of the games. One game went into OT and they changed the channel AFTER asking if my group was watching it. There were a total of 4 tables in there. Worst place to watch sports. read more

We went for the first time yesterday to celebrate my daughter in laws birthday and the food is amazing but unfortunately will not be going back to this location. When arriving my daughter in laws friend was getting her 3 week old out of her car and when doing so she accidentally bumped the car next to her. She apologized to the lady sitting in the car several times but since there was no damage she continued to grab her things and went inside. We had all sat and was visiting while waiting on others to arrive when a lady walked into the party room. She confronted our friend about hitting her car and claimed she damaged her car but was able to rub all the white paint off her car. Our friend again told her she was very sorry but this didn't stop the lady from completely embarrassing her in front of us all. When I confronted the lady and asked her to leave the room so we could continue our birthday celebration she said she was not leaving and in fact was the manager of this establishment. This was mind blowing to me that the manager of this place would wait until we were sitting down for dinner to cause such a scene instead of getting out of her car at the time of the incident and address what had happened. Although she claimed there was damage done, the police were never called to file an incident report, instead she rubbed the white paint off herself! On top of that the service was terrible! Which I'm sure was due to the incident with the manager. read more

My friends and I have stopped by Old Texas Brewing a few times for both food and drinks, and it's always been a great experience. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat, making it a lively spot to hang out. The food has consistently been good, and the drinks hit the mark as well. They seem to have a lot of fun events like karaoke and trivia nights, though we haven't had a chance to join in yet. We're definitely planning to check those out in the future. Serviss has always been excellent and with a friendly smile. That is something that is missing in a lot of places these days. Thought we would try something new for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Took advantage of their great patio. I believe this place has been open less than a year. I didn't go inside and can't comment on the interior. Trinity, our server was friendly and attentive. Made a point to check on us periodically throughout the meal. They have a varied menu and a great selection of beers to choose from. I had their OTXB Lager and enjoyed it. My husband had his usual, chicken fried steak, and liked it. He said he wished the gravy had more flavor. The onion rings were decent, but the side salad was great. Large portion with lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber, onion, cheese, croutons and dressing. I had the lunch portion of grilled fish and shrimp. It was good and cooked well, but nothing exceptional. Fried okra was very good. Both meals came with a garlic Texas toast. Saw other options on the menu that I want to try. I plan to try their beignet dessert next time. Check their website for daily specials and different activities in the evening. After reading reviews, from here and other sources, I was a little skeptical of this place. However, after several visits, this is currently one of my favorite places to go at this time. I've honestly had nothing but good service and good food every time I've gone. This place is nice inside, lots of room, it also has a large patio, on two sides. Inside is spaced out where the stage for live music is on one end, and the other side more laid out for table dining. There's a square bar in the middle, two sided, with a few pub tables on one side, and an enclosed room for private parties...I guess. I usually sit at the bar. I have been once where live music was being played, and while a little loud, it wasn't so loud you couldn't think. They have a large selection of draft beer, and a full bar. The menu has a lot of offerings, but not overbearing. Service has been fast and friendly and most of the visits I've been checked on regularly. I've ordered several appetizers, chips/salsa, brewhouse fries, brisket nachos, pretzels, loaded tots, and all have been pretty dang good. Also, I've gotten the half order, which in most cases has been enough for two. I rarely can finish most of the apps, and I'm a fat ass, so that says something. The only misgiving is the chips and salsa, huge tray of chips, glorified cup of salsa. Don't know if more salsa is free, I was full, I didn't ask for any more. I've had the french dip sandwich, which seemed a little small, (but really wasn't) and the chicken fried steak. Both were pretty great, and the parmesan garlic frees are really good. Also, I was offered a lunch portion at night, which was plenty. Appreciate that. Food prices are reasonable, and I've had food that didn't taste this good at just regular restaurants. They have the beer I drink on draft, and they offer the ever so loved, large beer option. The large beer here is ridiculous, I asked one visit and it's thirty six ounces. Crazy right? Not crazy enough, cause I get one every visit. Booze and beer prices are really good. I think the large beer I get is $11, and it's a more costly beer wherever you go. It's a great deal at this point. The bar top has one of those "ice rails" going around it. Remember those back in the glory days? You put your beer/drink on top of the ice rail and it keeps it cold. Great option to keep that crazy large beer cold. Anyway, lately I've been going here once or twice a week. It's not crazy, crowd is more older than younger, lots of tv's for sports. Got one of them new fangled digital jukeboxes. This is one of those places that I can't understand isn't more crowded. The hours are a little off at this time. During the week, they close at 10pm. On the weekends they only stay open till 11pm. Could use another hour, but it gives me a reason to get off my butt and get down here earlier. I really like this place, I hope they don't give me a reason to change my mind. read more

I love the location and the food, once you get it, is good. However, the last few times I went the service was really slow and seems like there is no working plan to get orders taken and food out. The last time we went, when we were seated, I explained that we had a set time to leave and asked if they could let our waiter know we were ready to order, after 25 minutes with no waiter, we left. I've been here multiple times during this football season and it's always a good time. There's always cold beer and games playing on the television. The music is a mix between country and rock. There's a jukebox so I play whatever music I want to. I've sat at the bar a few times and eaten in the dining area with friends and the service is overall good. We come here often and have had great experiences with fabulous food! It is NOT bar food! Today we went for brunch for the first time and it was fabulous! I had the tacos and my husband had the standard eggs, bacon and toast. All of which was delicious! We sat at the bar and Lauren hosted us. She was an absolute delight and didn't miss a beat!! Very pleasant and ok too of her game!! I would really like to see them spruce up their patio! It could be a lot more inviting and comfortable! I was passing thru Fort Worth going to Plano and was getting hangry. Yelped restaurants in the area and the Old Texas Brewung popped up and the name sounded great so that's where I went. Sat at the bar. Greeted by bartender and she poured me a local brew. Ice cold. And they have an ice channel built into the bar to sit your beer on and keep it cold. You can see it in the pic. Ordered their loaded brisket bowl - see pic. It was awesome. And a lot. It's a big joint inside with lots of tables. Looks like a lot of fun on a Fri/Sat night. They have others in the DFW area.
