Suggested by a friend to meet up at Old Texas Brewing. I figured we'd have a couple of drinks and some "bar food" Was not expecting what we found. Passion may be one of the best Bartenders in Ft. Worth. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you sit at the Bar, you can enjoy the Ice Rail - Looks cool - works better. Lots of beer on Tap, and also a full-service bar. The apps and food are actually better than a lot of restaurants - very good. We were there for Trivia Night. The only thing I would suggest would be to work on the audio for that. Loud enough, maybe too loud, but about 30% unintelligible. Overall, a great place that I would recommend, and not hesitate to return to.

Saturday afternoon, looking for a place that was dog friendly to meet with friends. We got here first before the others, here is what we liked: * Dog friendly, staff was great. Offered water and brought him treats. Had areas in the shade if needed. * The beer they had was cold. More on that later. * Service was friendly, and she had a good sense of humor. What could of been better: * Things happen, so we get it. They were having issues with the beer lines and most of their drafts were unavailable. Waitress handed us a list with all the beers they didn't have. * Fried pickles were just ok- little greasy and I thought a small serving for the price. We didn't end up staying long , just had a beer and appetizer due to most the beers not available.

Fun place to enjoy a great meal and have a drink. Stopped by for their St Pattys celebration and they had live music! Our waitress Passion was amazing! Great drink specials on Sundays! They have a great bar area and so many televisions to watch March Madness!

Unfortunately I was only able to get out for one burger during Fort Worth burger week and it was at Old Texas Brewing. When I arrived at about Noon on Sunday it was moderately busy with a brunch crowd, but I was able to have a seat at the bar no problem. The bartender was nice and got my beer too me quickly and it was a delicious stout they have on draft but when I asked what the burger was for burger week she didn't describe it very well but I ordered it anyway even though she took awhilet to comeback and take my order, it was basically a cheeseburger with an onion ring on it and some sort of Chipotle sauce which made it quite obvious that the restaurant wasn't trying very hard to be original or unique for burger week cause this burger clearly lacked effort. Overall this place seems like a nice spot to come and have some drinks with friends especially on a nice weather day as they have ample outdoor seating, and various specials offered throughout the week. It's worth a try to check it out, the verdict is still out on the food

Old Texas has been consistently on the Mark every time we go to eat there. They have several TVs around the restaurant. They have games to play inside and outside especially on the patio. There's a lot of fun. It's a very family friendly atmosphere.

Tv issues ignored start of game

The food is overpriced for majority of the items, and I would NOT recommend the BBQ items. I've gotten the sausage and it was cold. This time around, I had the 10pc bone-in wings. Sauce was awesome, but it was 14.99 without sides. CRAZY. They seem to only have only two or three receivers for all the TV's and switch the channels in the middle of the games. One game went into OT and they changed the channel AFTER asking if my group was watching it. There were a total of 4 tables in there. Worst place to watch sports.

    Potatoes instant.

The food is packaged and heated. The mash potatoes instant. It was like a mix and match of a frozen tv dinner. You could get the same at chilis

Thought we would try something new for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Took advantage of their great patio. I believe this place has been open less than a year. I didn't go inside and can't comment on the interior. Trinity, our server was friendly and attentive. Made a point to check on us periodically throughout the meal. They have a varied menu and a great selection of beers to choose from. I had their OTXB Lager and enjoyed it. My husband had his usual, chicken fried steak, and liked it. He said he wished the gravy had more flavor. The onion rings were decent, but the side salad was great. Large portion with lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber, onion, cheese, croutons and dressing. I had the lunch portion of grilled fish and shrimp. It was good and cooked well, but nothing exceptional. Fried okra was very good. Both meals came with a garlic Texas toast. Saw other options on the menu that I want to try. I plan to try their beignet dessert next time. Check their website for daily specials and different activities in the evening. We will definitely be back.

    Cheese fries appetizer

Stopped here for happy hour after work. Early in the afternoon on a Thursday so pretty quiet. Sat at bar and had a couple drinks and some cheese fries. Staff friendly and attentive. Very clean restaurant/bar/ restrooms. Pretty varied menu. Full bar, variety of drinks/beers. Would definitely return and try again.

The appetizers were outstanding. From the chips and queso to the wings, and especially the crab rangoon mozzarella sticks (a must-try), everything was excellent. Based on that start, we expected the entrees to be just as impressive. For half of our table, they were. Unfortunately, my son's steak was poorly seasoned and cooked to the wrong temperature. He chose not to send it back because we had already experienced significant delays. I, for example, waited far too long for my steak salad to arrive. When it finally did, it was missing nearly every ingredient except the lettuce, steak, and a single sliced cherry tomato. By the time the kitchen was remaking my salad, the rest of my family was already halfway through their meals. Our waitress continued checking on us and seemed genuinely concerned, but the issue clearly wasn't being prioritized in the kitchen. After my husband asked to speak with a manager, my salad arrived within five more minutes. The manager approached with a lengthy series of apologies but didn't really give us an opportunity to explain the situation. The most frustrating part? The salad was still missing two ingredients. When I pointed that out, he initially pushed back, insisting it wasn't possible because the chef had personally prepared it. At that point, my family had finished eating, so I packed the salad to go. Was the salad worth the wait? Surprisingly, yes. Once it was finally assembled correctly, it was very good. What still puzzles me is that the dish requiring the least amount of cooking at our table was the one that took the longest to prepare correctly. Would I return or recommend it to others? Yes, but with reservations. The food has a lot of potential, and the appetizers alone are worth trying. However, the kitchen's execution and the manager's handling of the situation left plenty of room for improvement.

My family ordered salads, some pancakes, a club sandwich, and I went bold with the million dollar breakfast sandwich (I too deserve nice things). Everyone else's food came out together... mine did not. Apparently my sandwich decided to take the scenic route. Our waitress didn't seem to notice or care that I was just sitting there without a plate. When I asked the runners about my plate, they said they'd let our server know since it wasn't on their ticket. That's okay, I get it. It happens! We all forget a thing or two. So I waited til I could locate our server to ask her if she entered it. It took our server a solid 15 minutes to make her way back to us, at which point I asked her for the sandwich I'd ordered a while ago. She did not seem moved by my plight and wandered off to, presumably, locate it. Another 10 minutes later, my sandwich arrived like a conquering hero around 25 minutes after everyone else had basically finished eating. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely not, it was just a breakfast sandwich. It would've been great if it had just shown up with everyone else's food like a normal menu item. The restaurant didn't seem busy, so I don't know what happened. Regardless the food was solid. The service could use some tweaking. Probably will be back, I won't let one bad day ruin my experience.

Went for the biscuits, but our very wise waitress, Adriana, warned us that the biscuits were made with lard. Well that knocked out a bunch or breakfast options. She was so sweet and actually went to the kitchen and marked the menu pointing out lard-free menu choices. On the menu. Using black ink dots. Above and beyond. So we regrouped our breakfast plans and went mainly vegetarian. The Herbivore was absolutely delicious! Antebellum cheese grits topped with garlicky kale, romanesco and a soft boiled egg. We added a second egg. Split with my hubby. So good!! My sister-in-law had the brioche French toast. French toast topped with honey better, fresh berries and pecan granola. Served with maple syrup. Amazing! Added the duck fat breakfast potatoes. Who knew that the flavor would be so enhanced with the onions, peppers and duck fat. Get this side! We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.
