Delicious! We came here after a hike and shared the brussel sprouts. They were super yummy and I really liked the pecans they were tossed with. I ate the fall bowl - so so good. The SO had their fish and chips and he said the flavor with the pepita pesto was so good that he didn't miss not having malt vinegar. Came to SM for a weekend getaway and we tried a new place. Great atmosphere, great drinks, great food, and even better staff. Had the pleasure of meeting the bar manager Thor who knows his stuff, he was extremely personable and made great suggestions for us the entire night. Trevor was also behind the bar and killed it, checked on us multiple times, hospitality was on point. If I lived in the area this would definitely be my weekend spot for great beer and great food. Stumbled upon this place quite by accident searching for late night vegetarian friendly food options. We enjoyed it so much we brought some friends from out of town next time we came in, they liked it so much they bought a hat with their meal and beverages! The cauliflower tacos are fantastic, for you meat eaters try the smoked then fried chicken covered in queso and the bread pudding is so good it's naughty!! If you like the industrial look with friendly service and great food and drink look no further! WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I see quite a few negative comments about the shaggy haired bartender, and they are all true. He is extremely rude. My entire visit was disappointing and the staff I interacted with were rude and unprofessional. The woman I had an issue with acted like brewing a new batch of tea was a burden on her. I never received my tea because she chose not to make it. When our appetizer didn't come out, she blamed it on another coworker. When it was time to pay our tab, she avoided putting one meal on a separate debit card when I asked kindly. She wanted me to pay it all together. When I asked her if this was not possible she EVENTUALLY made the split. When the tab was finally split and the first meal was paid for, she took it upon her self to close out the rest of my tab, which instantly gives an 18% TIP. Because of this specific woman and the rude bartender, I did not appreciate giving a 18% TIP That I did not agree to. The Manger was also raising his voice at 3 staff members when guests were standing at the counter. The customer service was awful and my family and I were treated poorly. We have heard good things about this establishment, which is why we traveled to eat here. I'm incredibly disappointed. I can say with confidence, along with other reviewers on here that I will not be returning. read more

I love the casual hang-out vibe at this new eatery; the concept of starting a tab when you order your food and keeping it open to add on more snacks, drinks, etc encourages a relaxed stay-as-long-as-you-like environment, and with the open air setup, an area for a DJ, and plenty of games on the many TVs, I could definitely see myself coming back to hang with friends. The food is definitively a step up from typical bar food; they have a lot of similar flavor profiles, like burgers and chips/dips, but with cleaner ingredients and often a flavor twist compared to what is traditional. For example, we started out with the sweet potato hummus, which was topped with pumpkin seeds and a zesty chimichurri and came with standard tortilla chips. I loved the combination of ingredients, although I will eat sweet potato in basically anything. I also ordered the mushroom wrap, which had a fantastic and filling savory quality that made it an appealing vegetarian choice for the night, although additional protein can be added as desired. I personally wasn't too sold on the drinks here. I hadn't realized that draft cocktails literally come out of a tap when I ordered the draft paloma; it was certainly drinkable and had a light grapefruit flavor, but I have definitely had better palomas before and it seemed steep to charge $7 for a drink that arrived within 45 seconds because it was pre-mixed. I would prefer to try a specialty cocktail for a dollar more and have something custom next time. Overall impressions: great casual spot with tasty bites and probably decent drinks but that is still to be determined. Will come back! read more

This place blows, pay $70 for 3 people to eat, two of them split and you have to buss your own table, your servers don't ask any questions they just drop the food and run. No water or drinks or untenable were offered at all. No one asked any questions at all. If they didn't have five servers on every table at once I think it would run a lot more smoothly. This is a counter service yes but I didn't pay restaurant prices to be treated like I was at McDonald's. The food was also burnt and no utensils were clean except spoons for the whole duration we ate there. Never coming back, service sucked, food sucked, prices sucked a lot for having to work for them while you dine. Don't come here unless you're a ex server that wants some nostalgia and want to work. The owners really need to reorganize this business because it is NOT working for them the way it is now. read more

Visiting San Marcos and were looking for a place to eat. Industry looked good so we decided to try it out. We stopped in around 3:00 for a late lunch and it wasn't too busy. The place is cool, the atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly but the food is hit or miss. Hubby enjoyed the Brisket Tacos but my Corned Beef Sandwich was OK. Both meals came with chips and salsa and both were good. There was a three person band playing some good music which we really enjoyed. Overall Industry has a nice, cool vibe wish the food was spot on! read more

When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't too busy. The food selection was reduced to a simple Sunday brunch menu. We ordered then sat and waited for approximately 20 minutes. Finally our patience wore thin, so we asked a passing staff member about the status of our two cocktails and chips and dip appetizer. A few minutes later, the bartender delivered our drinks and a manager brought our chips and dip. He said that our ticket never made it to the kitchen staff. We combated several flys for another 15 minutes until our salad and fish and chips finally arrived. We assume this is normal operations at the Industry, because no one apologized. As we departed the parking lot we noticed two nearby dumpsters with the lids wide open, possible reason for so many flys. read more

If you need to make all types of people happy this is a great place to check out. They have a large outdoor area for dogs or kids, games and TV to keep everyone entertained. The food is diverse as well. You can get a classic dish with smoked meat that is filling and satisfying paired with local beer or you can get a salad or bowl that can be vegetarian and a specialty cocktail if that is more your thing. Very casual. Menu had lots of offerings- lots of meat and plenty of vegan dishes. Part of the restaurant is a bar, but families won't feel out of place. A friend hosted Easter brunch for a group of friends and one of the dishes she ordered from Industry was 3 orders of the Brussel Sprouts! There were only 4 of us and we thought she went a little overboard. We're we wrong! The Brussel Sprouts with the sweet glaze, chopped pecans and green onions were spectacular! Popped into San Marcos for my sisters graduation and stopped here for a quick bite to eat before it started. The ambience was cool. Open patio feel with a bar and a few TVs. They also have game like ping pong and the one where you throw the sack into the hole (haha sorry for not being cultured in that area of play). My wife, cousin and I tried the Queso (pretty good), the fried chicken breast sandwich (decent), the Brussel sprouts (sent back due to conflict of interest with my tongue; but hey, you may like it) and the chili ..which I have to pause to say (outside of parentheses) was got damn delicious. It's not your typical ground beef and bean chili..it had like pulled pork chicken and brisket or something all mixed (obviously check menu lol) along with cheese, chips and red onion to top it. Came out hot and delicious man. Best thing on the menu if i had to guess lol. But I'm probably never going back to San Marcos so don't let my short handed opinion take you far, but if you're in the area and want some beer and American bites, def check them out! read more

My family and I just went to try out this restaurant today. While enjoying dinner on the patio, an employee closed an umbrella. The sun began to shine in everyone's faces. No big deal. We politely asked the employee if we could put the umbrella back because the sun was very bright. He just looked at us and walked off ignoring us. This did annoy me but not worth the argument. After this, we asked another employee if he we could please put the umbrella up. His reply was "no problem" and he proceeded to open the umbrella. He wasn't able to open the umbrella because it required a tool/handle to open. Since he was struggling to open the umbrella, the original employee who turned out to be the manager (Jacob) had to assist opening the umbrella. Afterwards he walked passed our table and sarcastically replied "your welcome", as if it was such a burden to take care of his customers. This of course set me off. When confronting the manager (Jacob) and demanding for refunded, he if of course made excuses, played the victim and responded with inappropriate language. I would encourage the owners of this establishment to take a close look at who is representing their establishment. I guarantee this will not be the last time this manager Jacob will lose customers. I will gladly discuss further with the owner if interested. Beyond upsetting! read more
