Prices are a little steep. I guess blame it on the president. If you can find a place to sit, it's even better. Usually is quite difficult to accomplish that. I typically rely on gran and go. I had a really great experience during a recent visit to Indy Coffee Club! I consider myself a bit of an enthusiast and it's disappointing how many baristas don't have much knowledge. I thoroughly enjoy coffee conversations, and I had a really great one at ICC. You're probably more interested in the coffee though right.... It was rather good! I opted for a cortado, and they made a fairly decent one. I'm a really big fan of local businesses, so if there was any request from my perspective it would be that they carry some local coffee bean options. The other piece is that I had a really hard time finding the shop. Best I can say is to park in the garage and walk directly back towards UTSA Blvd. Aside from my subjective opinion, I think they're doing things right at Indy. We really enjoyed this coffee shop. We stopped in to kill some time between a charity walk at Six Flags and lunch at a friends house. There entrances at the front and back and parking is available on the ramp behind the building. They have a few house specialties and my mom and I both decided to get them Dirty Brown, which is iced coffee with house made vanilla syrup and my husband went with his standard cappuccino. The drinks were all well made and good. We loved the hand made mugs that the iced coffees came in. They were available for purchase and I'm kind of kicking myself for not buying a couple. I guess that means we will just have to go back the next time we visit San Antonio! We sat at the bar style seating along the front window and enjoyed being able to look outside while we were chatting. The decor is simple, but nice. Overall a great place to grab a coffee. read more

The ambiance was very relaxing, I came in and was able to do my work. I love the decor and scheme of the place. Very clean and plenty of room to sit. When it comes to the beverages, I feel that they were alright, nothing special. I've had better elsewhere. Although cool, I wish the cups were larger, I feel like a got more ice than anything in my chai. My overall feelings of this place: I have more good things to say than bad. I'm in San Antonio for a family emergency and my one respite is visiting local coffee shops...my goal is to go to a different shop at least once a day. My ninth stop was Indy Coffee near UTSA...newer area and very clean. Indy offered curbside or delivery due to ongoing social-distancing protocols. Their staff was super friendly but somehow they lost or misplaced my online square order. I was a little antsy with the extra time because I was on a tight schedule, but they found my order, they were professional and friendly and my order was ready about ten minutes after the scheduled time. I got the Dirty Brown (cold brew) and spiced honey and pecan ricotta toast...so flipping delicious! This is seriously one of my favorite coffee shops to do my work. Its atmosphere is cozy, and there are hightops to do work. There is a communal table in the back that sits four. I'm not sure how the seating is now with covid though. On the weekends, they make "cereal milk," which they put into lattes until they run out. They switch out the cereal types each week, so the flavors always change. I really like it! I also like their dirty brown. All their coffees are nice and smooooooth! Highly recommend. Wonderful little coffee spot close to UTSA! I've come here on a couple of occasions to study as there are tables and free wifi. I spent a glorious 2-3 hours away studying away. They had some interesting music playing so if you're picky about music, then bring the headphones. The aesthetic is inbetween western/hipster? If there was such a thing lol but either way, I thought it was a unique little place. They also have various items for sale in the back, which were on the pricey side, but would make great souvenirs or gifts! This is my first time at Indy Coffee and it was great! It's been on my list since I moved to San Antonio. I got the Dirty Brown, which is a cold brew coffee with vanilla, which a friend recommended to me. It was a little sweet for me, but still a solid choice. It was $5, which is a little more than I like to spend on coffee, but for trying a new place, I didn't mind. The shop itself is conveniently located near UTSA's main campus. Parking was an issue. There are limited spots in the apartment garage that the shop is attached to. So I recommend parallel parking on the Drag (the street adjacent to the shop), scootering or walking. I also love the vibe of the shop itself. It is very minimalist, urban-agriculture-esque. This is evident in the whole shop, down to the cups your order comes in. My only complaint is that the only seating available are stools without backs. If you are doing a quick visit this is not an issue, but as I was working on an assignment, be sure to stretch! read more

I am here today for the second visit to review their cold brew coffee selection, but I also ordered a meal so I could try out the place. I would like to thank my fellow Yelpers! Helen L. And Adriana G. For the parking TIPS, otherwise I would have been totally lost and possibly towed! This is a small establishment, and a table is hard to find when they are busy. The couch at the back of the room is my only option and a bit awkward to sit here slumped over my plate to enjoy my meal. I ordered the EGG & BELL PEPPER SCRATCH BISCUIT SANDWIch $6 with salsa verde. I may be spoiled by other places I frequent, but it seemed a small portion, and no sides were offered (I am used to orange wedges or grapes). The biscuit was flakey and toasted 'well done' so not quite burnt but had a little charred edges to it. I liked that it was not too salty. Sides would make this more reasonable for the price. IMHO the music could be less loud, and the choice of lyrics need attention. I heard a rap song with some choice words (F%*#! this and F@#!% that...yikes!!!) peppered in, and it didn't seem to match the otherwise mellow sounds of smooth jazz and occasional trendy tunes. They do keep a nice clean area in the back, and the restrooms are large and tidy, so thank you INDY for that detail. COLD BREW COFFEE review: They offer a black coffee, on ice...huge ice cubes...that had an AROMA I found hard to detect perhaps because it is quite cold in here and my otherwise wolf nose is frozen. The initial TASTE was smooth and sour, with an earthy and dusty ODOR. Overall, not bad. A small serving is $4.00. When I asked for cream, they only offered Lactose free milk or Almond Milk, and this was correct so thank you Jessica B. For the heads up tip. I found this disappointing, because milk just isn't creamy enough, and almond milk has its own flavor that would interfere with the coffee I was trying to sample. I will keep checking the tips in case they add half/half to their options, and then I will give it another try. Otherwise, I feel I may not be visiting again for a while. L. read more

The toast was topped with house-made ricotta cheese, candied pecans, and Ají Panca Honey. YUMMY! I'll need to revisit on the weekend to taste their cereal milk lattes as there is a lot of hype about how good they are. There wasn't too many people when I arrived around 9:45am so I was easily able to find a table to study.
