I called them to finalize the pickup and drop-off of my daughter's vehicle. The tow driver was very professional and polite. It was a 17 mile tow and everything went very well. I also parked in what is clearly a visitors parking spot as it is not my personal car. I got it back and immediately took pictures of where i had the permit, so if they come back tonight and its taken again I am calling the police for grand theft auto. August 2024- My car was illegally towed from the 82 Flats apartment on 8/4/2024. The tow truck driver allegedly did not see my parking permit that was adhered to my windshield. I understand that mistakes may happen, but the towing company should own their mistake and not charge a fee to the vehicle owner. However, the "Manager", Daphne stated that my sticker was not visible and stated that I would have to pay $75 to retrieve my vehicle; not the normal fee of$150. The fee was presented to me as a discount as she stated that it was both of our faults for the tow. If she could see the sticker on the windshield while in the tow yard, the driver could have seen it in the parking lot. The discounted fee was no more than a "drop fee". The fee you pay if the tow truck has not left the property with your vehicle. During the tow, my vehicle was damaged. I did take pictures and a video on the tow yard property, before taking possession of my vehicle. Daphne asked that I fill out a damage/complaint form and that she would review the pictures, that the driver took, and follow up with me in no set time. On, Friday, August 16th at or around noon I called Indy Pro Tow, and Daphne answered. I explained to her who I was and my issue, and she asked me "Did you take pictures?". I was confused because I was told, by Daphne, that her drivers take pictures upon vehicle pickup. She stated that she would have to call me back as they were in the middle of an auto auction. I asked her to call me back on Monday, August, 19th by the end of her business day. However, I have not received a call to date. I have submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau. This issue could have been resolved amicably between the parties, but I believe there may need for a third party to assist in a resolution. read more

When I spoke to the person at the window the worker and the supervisor both lied and say they tow at their discretion but the policy on the business office says cars are towed IMMEDIATELY for violators. (WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY AND ITS DRIVER THEY LIE ALOT). So today my car lost power on the highway. So l put on my hazard lights and got all the way to the right side of the highway before car died. A State Trooper arrived and told me he had a tow truck coming. I said ok he asked me what happened l told him the car just starting losing power. Shortly after, the DOT vehicle pulled up behind the trooper car. He asked me to try starting the car l said ok. After trying that he said the vehicle doesn't sound like its getting any fire l guess he's was talking about Spark plugs and he never tried to jump it. Then the tow truck pulled up and spoke to the trooper. After talking to the trooper he comes over and tells me it going to cost me its cost me ($175) dollars to tow it to their lot. l then asked the trooper if l can have AAA pick up my car instead and he said no because he needed to get me off the highway. At this point what choice do l have, none. Ok l asked the tow truck driver will it cost me any more money if l have AAA pick it from they lot. He said, no l have 24hrs to get it out before they start charging me storage fees, or l can take it to a mechanic lot of my choice but it will be $6-$7 a mile. So l said, take it to your lot being that they are not going to charge me anymore money and l will just have AAA pick it up from there.Basically trying not to spend anymore unnecessary money on this situation that is not going toward repairs to the vehicle at this point. So now AAA arrives. So l go to pay the $175 dollars that the driver said l would have to pay. Only to be told, from a girl in the office that there will be a $25 dollar fee to get the vehicle out of the lot. So l said, my vehicle just got here and l was told it would only be $175 to get it off the highway to this lot by your driver, and it hasn't been 24hrs yet. It hasn't even been on their lot for 3hrs. At this point she said let me get your paper work to see what's going on. Then, she came back and said it's going to cost me $260 to get my vehicle out the tow. $175 tow fee, $45 storage fee, and a $40 set out fee. For a grand total of $260 dollars. This is a case of insult to injury total bullshit l have ever seen. So tell me why l had to pay $175 to tow my vehicle to their lot? Why couldn't they drop my vehicle on the street and just off the highway. Vehicle was insured, didn't get in to any accident, vehicle just stalled on the highway. There was no reason to have to tow it to their lot other than to rob me of more money! I didn't break any laws. This is just to up chuck the price and hope l couldn't pay for my car so they can keep raising the price on a daily basis. THE RICH GET RICH OFF THIS KIND OF BULLSHIT AND LIES. You do know that these guys (Indy Pro Tow) are only supposed to be towing abandoned or junked vehicles, correct? Or from scenes of an accident, or if you hire them personally. Go look up your city Ordinances. There licenses are only for certain ZIP codes (Zone Improvement Plans) within the city. Do you know the meaning of "within the city"? It may not mean where you live. Which means they may not belong doing business in your complex at all. They have specific rules their principal agreed to, and is supposed to abide by; Like not being able to make a tow with your vehicle over 15 miles from pick up to drop off. Is your complex over 15 miles from their yard? Know before you sign those agreements with those crooked complexes too. Where many do nothing for you even after your vehicle is illegal towed. They get a cut, so why should they? The Office may have a Contract with the Towing Company, but do you personally? If you don't then not only is it not a junk vehicle or in harms way of another person but you did not give the tow truck driver or the company express written consent to look at your vehicle, let alone drive off with it.
