I was able to try the spicy beef and regular beef empanada that both have a mixture of veggies such as picadillo con queso. I love the flavor of the flaky pastry filled with meaty goodness. The service was amazing the lady at the front might have been the owner and she was wonderful! The empanadas come in an order of three to choose from different types. They also sell desserts and typical sweets. The last thing I ordered not pictured was the sourdough. FRESH and warm sourdough loaf that was perfect, it had a toasty outer and moist on the inside i loved that it was a bit sweet as well. read more

Ines Bakery in Gibsonville, North Carolina offers a welcoming and clean environment. The owner was busy when I walked in but never made it seem like she wasn't able and ready to assist me. She was extremely friendly and had a personal approach with my order and this was a great way to introduce a new customer on their very first visit here. The bakery's display cases were well maintained and items well placed overall, to include proper lighting (so you can see exactly what you're getting and the quality in every item). My purchase of 4x croissants, 2x slices of cheesecake 2x empanadas and 2x sweet pastries was surprisingly/relatively inexpensive, costing under $35 for all of it. The cherry on top was that this very kind business owner also provided me with a tote bag to carry all this in (at no cost) which was supporting the upcoming Gibsonville Ladies Night, which further reinforced the local, community vibe of this great place. I highly recommend Ines for both their breads (croissants and sandwich breads) and desserts, plus the empanadas, which were tasty as well - I look forward to my next trip here! read more

They did an absolutely amazing job with the cake we ordered for my Moms 50th birthday. Not only did it look incredible it tasted great! Visiting from out of town, I was thrilled to see the addition of empanadas to Downtown Gibsonville! I ordered a variety of empanadas for pick-up including Spicy Beef, Chicken, Mushroom, and Guava Paste-Cheese. Everything is so affordable that, naturally, I added Alfajores to my order as well. Hard to resist! I would definitely return for the Spicy Beef and Guava Paste-Cheese empanadas. My order was ready 15 minutes after calling and there was convenient parking all along Main Street. Excellent bakery. I bought 6 Empanadas. 3 beef (one spicy) 2 chicken, 1 spicy cheese. Each one was delicious. The dough was light and fluffy, very fresh. All the seasoning and flavors in them were perfect and they were made to order. Carrot cake and Oreo cake were very good too. Homemade icing, sweet but not too sweet or too rich. I have to say the cakes by the slice are super yummy and not super expensive. Honestly...people love this place so much. I only went one time but will definitely be a return customer. When I was there it was the shortbread, bread pudding, and a slice of chocolate cake that was so golden. We purchase empanadas from Inez Bakery on a regular basis. They are alway freshly made and delicious. If you don't have a reason to travel into Gibsonville, I just gave you a great one. The cakes are a great choice for birthdays and special occasions. Our favorite is the strawberry vanilla; made with fresh strawberries and real cream. We were strolling through downtown Gibsonville and stumbled upon this amazing gem. Ines makes about 20 kinds of Empanadas in addition to cakes, flan, cupcakes and special Latin American pastries. We ordered a dozen assorted empanadas in flavors like guava cream cheese, spicy beef, jalopeno & cheese, chicken (which has hard boiled eggs in it with the chicken filling), spinach, mushroom, etc. She baked them for us in about 20 minutes as we checked out the model train garden down the block. She was incredibly friendly, and gave excellent customer service. She attempted to sort the spicy ones out from the non-spicy ones and the sweet ones, but they all kinda looked the same so some got a bit mixed up. We left with four bags in our hands. We played a little "Empanada Roulette" and after a bite I had to sometimes swap my husband a spicy one for a non-spicy one, but THEY WERE ALL SO AMAZING. You could tell each one was carefully made by hand and he dough/crust was very flaky and did not overpower the filling. We will DEFINITELY be going back! This place is take-out only, but I did hear people calling in orders. She also offered some combos like 3 empanadas, a drink and a cupcake for $6. read more
