En route home from a day trip to Long Island with my family, we were starving and in search of a good restaurant nearby. Fortunately the Infinity Diner was recommended to us and immediately upon seeing the '50s trolley car inspired exterior, I knew we found the right place. As soon as I opened the menu, I was amazed at how vast a selection there was, but I knew I wanted something from the breakfast side. Unfortunately, they were out of pumpkin pancakes, but I got french toast instead, and it definitely hit the spot. Our waitress was also very friendly and accommodating, so that was definitely a plus, as you don't find that in many diners today. My chances of returning here are slim, but should I end up in this part of Long Island again, I'll know where to eat! read more

Great diner, very quick and friendly service. Food comes out quickly, great place to grab breakfast or lunch. The food is typical diner food but overall good quality. And if anyone reads this from Infinity you guys really need to marinate your skirt steaks. I order steak and eggs all the time and the steak is just OK, could be much better if you marinate all your skirt steaks. They come out more tender and more flavorful and less dry. read more

The best. My husband and i are regulars here. After moving to the area we tried almost every diner close to home. This by far had the best food, Friendly/good service and the portions are huge. Their omeletes are delicious! They have awesome lunch specials with soup/salad/sandwiches-small portion combos. If you ever want gravy fries, the gravy in this place is out of control! Good gyros and greek salads. Now that im a regular i've noticed lots of their customers are regulars. My BF teased me the other day for going out of our way to visit this diner. We were going food shopping and there was another diner on the way there. No way, I said, there's only one diner in town, and that's Infinity! Delicious food, generous portions, friendly, attentive staff. It's not unusual to be seated by the owner himself, and have him bring you a glass of wine :-) Prices are reasonable. They let you share a dinner, which is more than enough food for two people, especially with the complimentary pasta salad, bread, salad (they will split your salad for you, no kidding they will put it in two bowls!!), and dessert thrown in. My mom and I stopped in on a trip up from Virginia. The food was disgusting. I ordered a veggie omelet with egg whites and my mom ordered the turkey wrap. My omelet was so over cooked that I only ate 1/8 of it. The vegetables were cut badly and did not taste fresh, it was as if they just threw it together last minute. My mom's wrap was soggy and poorly flavored. I wound up getting violently ill from my omelet. My mom's wrap made her nauseous the rest of the day. I really like this place. The staff is awesome. Service is great. I Bring my family here, they are always smiling no matter how big the mess. My boys just can't eat without making a huge mess, even at home. However, for some reason every now and again my meal isn't very good at all. This baffles me.. How can my eggs Benedict be wonderfully delicious one day and horrible the next. First time this happened I thought it was just a spoof. I eat here enough to realize it's some random thing here. Been coming here for decades, food is great, portions large, prices are affordable, what more can you ask for.

The place could do a lot better if they concentrate on fewer dishes and upgrade some recipes. We had lunch here and everything that we tasted was bland. Only soup was good according to one person in our group that tried it. After the meal, we all felt very tired and heavy even though we did not consume an excessive amount of food. That was kind of weird. The prices were reasonable and staff was accomodating. I would probably not be back here though unless absolutely out of options. read more

The best diner I know in terms of food quality, value and service. Parking is poor but that's my only complaint. I live in Dix Hills. My choices are Olympic, Premier and Dix Hills. Kills all but Premier in food quality. Premier's food may be a little better but it's much more expensive. If you're a carnivore, try the london broil. Always perfect. Fish and chips will reset your expectations for the dish. Fresh fillets fried to order. No frozen fish cakes. read more

After marrying my high school sweetheart in a last minute ceremony, our group of about 12 needed a place to celebrate. Our officiator lived in West Babylon and we found this diner. We thought "the Infinity diner!?! That's perfect, we'll last forever!". At my now reception dinner, my family and friends ordered just about everything off the menu. My hubby had a bacon cheeseburger, I had french toast, our parents had huge pasta dishes, and we toasted with chocolate milkshakes. At the end, the waitstaff offered us a slice of lemon meringue pie- a piece of which we froze and had a year later . This little place inadvertently became a huge part of my wedding day and an awesome kick start to what has been a successful marriage. When it comes to eggs and burgers, diners, for the most part, are sure to please. Not this place. I ordered a cheese omelet and specifically asked the server to not have it well done or brown. I also asked for fries instead of home fries because I had a weird craving for some dunked in brown gravy. When the omelet arrived, not only was it brown but it was flat like a crepe and then folded. Not only did It taste awful but there wasn't any cheese. I nicely told her that the eggs were overdone and that the kitchen forgot the cheese. She said she'd make me a new omelet and went to remove my whole plate. I stopped her and I said that I still wanted to pick on my fries while I waited. The new omelet arrived and this time it was oozing cheese, undercooked on the inside (slimy) and brown on the outside AND flat like a crepe. Have you ever experienced anything less than a fluffy omelet at a diner? Diners are pros at making eggs! Adding insult to injury, they charged me $2.25 for the brown gravy (of which I barely used because it was just ok)- Upon check out, I nicely told the gentleman at the cash register all of the above and his comment to me was that the brown gravy was listed on the menu! Who would knowingly pay $2.25 for a small half cup of brown gravy? He didn't take it off the bill. The fact that the kitchen made awful omelets he should've at least comped the gravy. Ugh I hate when my omelette is over cooked. I felt like I was eating pieces of the grill. The service was very quick but the downside to that was the waitress brought out the bill without asking if we wanted anything else - really would've liked at least 1 refill on my coffee . This place redid the decor a yr or two ago then the prices went through the roof. A breakfast there with omelets, pancakes, a shake and onion rings plus coffee was $80. The coffee is over $3 a cup and you pay for refills. Goodness knows what the lunch and dinner costs. Will find another place. read more

Food was basically very good for a diner but I was disappointed they did not serve a bread basket after 9 pm (even with a full diner) and when I asked to have a cookie for dessert they wanted $2 additional for cake or cookies, only pudding was included. The owner says it says that in the menu, just like people read software licensing agreements. We will take our business elsewhere. read more
