Forget what the sign says -- this diner is large, but not infinite. On the other hand, the menu is pretty close to being infinite. Surprisingly (to me, at least!) the menu did not focus on New York deli sandwiches; the genre is "Greek diner." After the 20 or so minutes that it took me to get to the end of the menu, I choose the redeye special -- an omelet with lox and onions. This was for my lunch, by the way, though I had taken a redeye flight from SFO a couple of nights before. The omelet at first seemed to be infinite, though I finished it by channeling the Yak I'd once read: "All pizzas are individual pizzas if you believe in yourself." I killed the accompanying slab of hash browns, which was not much smaller than the omelet, as well. The quality of both the omelet and the hash browns was what I could describe as "good enough"; yelp translates this assessment to A-OK -- three stars. After years of considering this my family diner. Never again will my family go there. Tonight I ordered food and they forgot the salad and gave us fries instead. I called to let them know about the mistake. Note: this was Not the first time we got the wrong food delivered or missing food we paid for. They normally make good on my next order and apologize. Tonight things changed. Jerry the owners son was extremely rude. He told me he doesn't want to hear my complaint. They are doing the best they can and he reviews all the orders. Jerry told me my order was full of demands. I said demands??? All I asked for was to please make my steak medium rare. Please add cheese on my steak not on the fries. I said please make my fries well done and thousand island dressing on the side. Wow I didn't know I couldn't tell a diner all if a sudden how I would like my meal prepared. I am a paying customer. Jerry told me that I should go to another diner to eat. If this is how Jerry treats there customers I am surprised they are still in business. I feel sorry for his father Tony (owner) and Mike (the brother). Even though their prices are high we always appreciated going there till now. Thank you Jerry for telling me to go eat elsewhere. I would be surprised how many other customers he said that to. Jerry needs to learn in an establishment like a diner or actually in any business when a customer is unhappy you need to fix the problems. Not tell a customer to go elsewhere. Came here for an early dinner. I had the French Onion Soup which was probably the worst I have ever had. Served in a normal soup bowl and not a onion soup bowl. Instead of French bread slices it had Italian seasoned croutons. And the whole thing was covered in 5 square slices of...... Munster cheese (it's supposed to be Gruyère) What the hell. What's the best thing about French Onion Soup? Yes, the charred bits of cheese running down the side of the bowl. There was none if that. Just globs of Munster cheese with soggy Italian seasoned croutons. This atrocity was followed by a Texas Burger with bacon and a fried egg. How do I want it cooked? Medium Rare, please. And Onion rings. So the burger patty itself was obviously a commercially bought frozen patty. Its about half an inch thick and completely flat with "interesting" grilling marks on top. It was also perfectly WELL DONE cooked. Just what I wanted. The patty was also unseasoned as were the onion rings. Overall this experience was solidly sub-par. read more

What a pleasant surprise from a diner that was there when we needed it. After searching out other diners in the area and realized many had health scores that were far from acceptable (thanks to the new Yelp feature), we found the Infinity diner. We had a large party and they easily accommodated us. The food was very good and above average for the typical diner. They left us alone to chat and did not rush us despite the long time we dined. Driving around with my son and his friend who said she has eaten here, I decided to give it a try. I was extremely disappointed and a bit grossed out about the grilled chicken sandwich. It had the fat at the end of the meat and all over it, you know that skinny layer of fat that one must remove from the chicken before cooking it. I cut out the fat, and used the knife to scrub the remaining layer of fat myself. I try not to give bad ratings to restaurants but this one, I can't let it slide. It looks like someone buys the chicken, throws some seasoning and straight to the cooker. First, all meat, must be cleaned before cooking, meaning one has to cut the fat and sit the meat in water with lemon and vinegar for 10 minutes or more, then one must rinse the meat again with plain water, and that's how one cleans the meat before cooking it. But even if the cook here would had rinse the chicken in some plain water, this chicken would had been ok. The taste of the chicken was pretty bad. I took a few bites and could not keep eating it. 2 stars not 1 because the chicken quesadilla and the burger we also ordered was okay. Seriously, the grilled chicken sandwich is a no, no, here. The menu has a wide variety of Greek food, so maybe the Greek food is excellent here. Also, the meal prices are higher than other Dinners. For example a meal on other places average is $9.99, here that same meal is $14.99. All in all, most likely I won't come back to eat here. I am sorry, I don't like to give low stars, but that chicken sandwich earned it. read more

Could be better. Stopped in for brunch before hitting the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park. Apple-Cinnamon Pancakes were fabulously decadent and delish, while the Egg Burrito wasn't good. It seemed thrown together with waste products in the kitchen. The eggs way overcooked, bacon was chewy and fatty not crispy, cold cheese. Everything also came out TOO quick, a red flag in my mind. The side of hash-browns were ok. Coffee, thank goodness, was above average. Wouldn't rush back here, However I'm willing to return to try something off the lunch / dinner part of the menu. read more

Big family group of 23 for lunch. Wonderful classic diner food in great abundance. For $20.95, I had a huge Greek salad, roast turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and spinach, cole slaw and pickles, rice pudding for dessert, and coffee. The price might seem a bit high to some, but there was more than enough food for two complete meals, which resulted in my taking home the half I couldn't possibly eat. Service was quick and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere. This place gives diners and diner food a good name! I look forward to coming back and selecting again from their giant menu. read more

After a co-worker of mine mentioned how great this diner was, I just had to try it. Two friends of mine & I went into the diner on a late Wednesday morning (maybe 10-11) and were seated right away. Upon walking in you'll notice the hostesses podium also doubles as a bar - I thought that was nice. We were given breakfast menus and seated in a booth. Both of my friends wanted breakfast food, but I really felt like having lunch. When the waitress came to greet us, which was prompt and friendly, she brought me a full menu..so you can order whatever you want at any time of the day - plus! We started with mozzarella sticks, which came out pretty quickly. It was an order of 6 for $5.95, and it was SOOO good! We also ordered onion rings, and those were great! It was a mix between breading & beer battered which I think sets them apart. Shortly after our appetizers, our meals came out. I ordered the Greek Chicken wrap and although the menu states "Please no substitutions" I asked to leave a few things out (feta cheese, onions) and my request was accommodated with no questions asked. My friends enjoyed their breakfast as well. The waffle was perfectly cooked and the hot syrup the waitress brought us out made it so much better. The French toast, although it didn't look great, tasted fantastic. Our waitress was attentive, personable, knowledgeable & offered helpful suggestions. All in all this was an epic first experience. I would recommend this diner to anyone! The menu offers a pretty broad selection to please even the pickiest of eaters. I will be back a lot sooner rather than later :-) read more

Tried it several times.... Ordered a burger with fries it was mediocre, at best. The second and last time! I ordered a Greek omelet and they screwed that up, too. Service is like molasses. Visited the diner earlier this morning for breakfast with a friend of mine I had not seen in some time (she's 9 months pregnant). Waitress was super sweet, food came out quick and was tasty. We sat there for an hour catching up and an older man assuming it was the manager or owner walked by a few times and made hand gestures at our table like he wanted us to leave. There isn't much this place doesn't do, and doesn't do extremely well. This diner has been the gold standard for my group of friends for at least the last five years. I've had the best gyro of my life here, and I've gone to Greek and Turkish restaurants. If you're looking for a pancake or french toast breakfast for a starving individual or a football team, go with the City Slam or Lumberjack. Just be prepared, to paraphrase the line from Jaws, you're going to need a bigger table. The only thing I don't care for here, is the sausage. It's large, but it's missing flavor and should be substituted for more bacon. There's a reason we keep going here first and foremost. You will too. read more

Just a fair experience. We came in a party of 6 and split several dishes. We had the chicken suvuloki, spinach pie, and Greek pizza. The chicken suvuloki was amazing. Charred to perfection chicken chunks a crisped up pita, yet, at the same time chewy. The Greek pizza is not recommended. It just seemed like spinach and mozzarella with tomato sauce was just plopped on pita. The spinach pie was no better. It was tasteless and overstuffed. The bakery section looked good. read more

I've only been here twice, but this diner is great!! It has everything you'd expect a typical Long island diner to have. The servers are very friendly and accomadating. The food comes out so fast! I don't know his name, I think he's the manager, but he is so very nice and really takes the time to be friendly with all his guests. The Infinity Diner is an excellent example of a great diner. Fast service, fine food, and a very warm and friendly staff. It is a local diner, but well worth a stop in if you are passing through. It is delicious- moist flavorful charred chicken on a pita, HOT french fries and a generous portion of Greek salad, lots of feta.
