Y'all. This is gonna be a long review. But if I can prevent at least one person from booking with them I'll have done my job. I called them to get a quote, and listed off all of the items I would need moved. She gave me a price and I set up the move. I then reached back out a few days later to get the price in writing, just in case they tried anything funny. I was told that the owner of the company would have to come to my house to see everything just to make sure. I don't know what would have changed between the first and second call but I agreed. When the owner arrived, I explicitly stated to him, MULTIPLE TIMES, that I was still in the process on packing so everything that needed to be moved wasn't packed up yet, but still showed him what the stuff was. Fast forward to moving day. The movers were on time. That's the only positive. It took them over 5 HOURS to move 1 bedroom and a living room worth of stuff outside. They moved so slow I had to call the leasing office of my new place and move my move in time back! They laid all of my items in the grass because they needed to "stage" it for the truck. Also, the owner was too cheap to bring a truck that was big enough to fit all of my stuff and instead insisted that I "added items" and "had more stuff than I did when he did the walkthrough." When I told him to check the list his secretary gave him bc everything was accounted for, he proceeded to get into a YELLING MATCH with me. For 5 minutes we went back and forth because of his negligence. Because of this, I had to use my own vehicle to transport the items that wouldn't fit. Now, moving my items into my new place took less time. However, they damaged my drawers, a chair, and carved out chunks of wood from my table because the guy inserted the screws wrong! I pointed this out to them and he said they would send me a check for the damages. My mother and I had to call his office upwards of 100 times for him to send the check. He would lie and say the check was in the mail, but wasn't able to recite the address he sent it to. My move took place in August. As I am writing this post, the check for the damages just cleared today. The amount in the check can't even cover the cost to repair the damages to my items. First, they screwed up the date of the move, so when 8:00am came and went and they hadn't arrived, I called and found out that they didn't have me scheduled at all. I had to wait two more days for their next opening, living in my apartment that was filled with boxes and ready to move. Then they arrived almost an hour late on that changed moving date. There was NO regard to handling my items. My upholstery covered dining chairs were piled in a jumbled mess on the ground instead of neatly stacked on each other. One is dirty right now and will need upholstery cleaning. They destroyed a bookcase. The tops of my two dressers are badly scratched, as if they were upside down and slid on the concrete ground. And they couldn't figure out how to get my sofa upstairs (a sofa that has moved to 3 upstairs apartments with no problems), so I had to say bye-bye to it. It's still outside right now, three days later as I wait for someone to help me move it to the alley for trash. And, although I labeled my boxes according to what room to put them in at the new apartment, they just piled all the boxes in the kitchen and dining room, all mixed together. Boxes that said "Fragile" and/or "Do Not Stack On Top Of" were stacked on top of, sideways or upside-down under other boxes. They didn't organize the furniture either. Most movers ask, "Where do you want this to go?" But they didn't. So I had to move bookcases, dressers, tables, etc. to various rooms myself - in addition to moving the boxes myself. Oh! And half the 6' tall bookcases were stood upside down, so I had to flip them myself. And they didn't assemble the bed frames and put the mattresses on the frames either. So I had to do that by myself, with big, heavy queen-sized mattresses and box springs. Not only was this the worst move ever, it was the most expensive! The move took far longer than any move I've ever had, and I've moved a few times in the last 8 years with the same amount of items. From 10am to about 4:30pm - and they easily would've stretched it until 6:00 or 7:00pm if I hadn't started going off on them. It was supposed to be a 4 person team, but only 2-3 were actually working. I watched their process and they did not have an efficient methodology for moving items out, packing the truck, or unpacking. One of the guys was smoking a cigarette and had laid it on my bookshelves that were on the back porch. And did I mention that they took a lunch break?! On the way to my new apartment, with all my stuff in their truck, they stopped at a fast food place. I've never had movers do that. And the owner required payment before they would unload my things, even though we wouldn't know the length/time of the move until they finished. I've also never worked with a moving company who did that. I could go on, but I've ranted enough here. Sorry for such a long write-up! Three of the movers were fine. They worked hard, were friendly and professional. But the owner (who sat "supervising" the whole time) set the tone... complaining, making excuses, and moving slow. Three words: Don't. Use. Them. This was the most unprofessional move I've ever witnessed. They damaged my daughters crib and then taped it back together as if I wouldn't notice it. This is a Black Owned Business and I had a horrible experience Yesterday. 1st: my appointment was scheduled for 9am then Rescheduled for 2pm, then 3:30p however the Movers didn't arrive until 5:30p(No Discounts for being Late!!) I had a few boxes, a Twin Size Bed, Couch set and Refrigerator which should've took 2hrs considering I was only moving 4blocks over.. 2nd: they didn't have proper moving tools. No straps, shrink wrap was cheap Food service grade Plastic wrap. Dolly was too small and needed air in the tires. 3rd: It was a 4 man team but, two of the workers didn't come up stairs until the Manager Ellis came. One of the guys decided he was Gon have a full conversation with his wife while on my time with the phone in one hand and moving with the other. Another guy took a smoke break which cause him to move slow. The only one who actually worked his worth was the Young black guy named Rell. The rest should be fired. 4th: When I called to schedule the representative Pam asked me how many rooms I had I explained 2BR, Living, and Dining which are empty. Pam quoted me 2hrs ($325) due to me having everything packed by the back door, legs off couches, TV's ready to go, & I wasn't taking beds, tables, nor Stove. The workers didn't finish until 9:30p. This move was over $500. And they refuse to take anything off truck until they are paid. Honestly before considering this company think about getting your own Uhaul and find some trust worthy guys to assist with the move! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!! read more

We hired Coast to Coast Moving to move us from Texas to Chicago. We " saved the date" with them at least 5 months ago. Contract with quote in place and deposit. Then 2 weeks before our move they call to go over our list of stuff again and increase our rate 10k more BC we need the largest truck. OK what can we do we are moving cross country in 2 weeks. Then I get a email they have sub contracted our move to Loving Hands moving. The mover Remy and his crew show up and his crew of 4-5 guys start moving our stuff. Most boxes go into a huge trailer and off it goes on its way to Chicago. Then after he sees our home and furniture he tells me the price is now 30k for the move not 19k AND we have to give him 19k now! That's when we find out the name of the company is Infinity Moving and Storage NOT Living Hands ( apparently they are somehow related) In total it took 12 hours to load our home. We were told that we have to accept the move whenever they call or we have to pay 850.00 per day more. Since they have already gotten 20k plus 6k to Coast to Coast to originally hold our move date, I don't want to shell out any more money to then. The guys with the boxes unload and are great BUT the idiot with all our furniture is a TOTAL JERK. He calls and tells me he will be at our house between 8-9 pm to unload and it will only take 2 hours with him and another guy! He says " he's really fast". I tell him it took 5 guys 12 hours to load but he says he can do it. I text Remy to tell him what's going on and say " nothing better break". He calls me a few minutes later and tells me they can't start a move after 7 pm. He has told his driver tomorrow morning to deliver. So 10 am driver is here w/1 guy who was a great mover. Driver doesn't like the sidewalk on our property so he wants 300. 00 more to move. We still have 4K left to pay. We say NO box movers had no issue with our flat sidewalk. I call Remy and we compromise with 150.00 for the driver. ( you get it right!!! He has our stuff and he won't open the truck until he gets his money. We had to pay 150.00 cash before he would even open the truck) He opens the truck and sees what they have to move, just the 2 of them , and starts looking for more help. The total of 3 guys were great! I am not counting the driver BC he did NOTHING! He apparently had " something to do so he kept telling the guys to work faster. He told me to unwrap the furniture BC he needed the blankets back. My husband told him he didn't care about what he was doing next, this job was important to us. In all his " 2 hours with 1 other mover" took 5 hours with 3 actual movers. The driver left the other guys to clean up and forgot to pay them. They called him and he had to come back. We had a lot of broken things in boxes market "fragile" . The TV was broken. So many issues but what do you do? Other than leave comments so ppl don't suffer the same issues. If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst moving experience of my life. Broke several items of furniture and didn't even acknowledge it. One cabinet was left in a crumpled heap missing a leg. Another metal cabinet is very badly scraped. They lost one of my couch cushions in the process of moving, and I ended up having to leave my bed frame at my previous apartment because they couldn't fit it into the elevator even though it had been moved into the apartment without issue. My mattress was covered in dirt and soaking wet when they got it up to my apartment. The move ended up being SOOOO expensive, because they were VERY obviously trying to take as long as possible to move my things into my new apartment. The "3 man team" quickly turned into one guy bringing up one or two boxes at a time and stacking them haphazardly on top of each other. Like I said - I now have to replace several items. It took them almost 6 hours to move a studio apartment costing me almost $800...And then they had the nerve to ask me to tip them each $100 on top of that even though I'll likely be spending hundreds replacing the furniture they ruined. On top of all that, when we arrived at the new apartment, the driver opened the front door of the truck and there was a beer in the front seat and another of the movers smelled strongly like alcohol as well. Scheduled my move 3 weeks prior. I was told I was scheduled for a afternoon move which meant that the movers would arrive to my home between 1pm - 2 pm. They called to confirm my move date and time, 2 days prior to my move. Then, on the day of my move, the driver called me at 12:52pm and said that all of his workers had gone home. He said that he only had one guy; and with that one guy, they wouldn't be able to do the move. So, he said he would call me back if other drivers came in. At 1:51pm, he told me they couldn't do the move. He told me that I had to reschedule my move to a morning timeslot because the afternoon time slots may not allow for enough movers. I was scheduled to be out of my apt on 5/31. My move was scheduled for Saturday 5/29. So, here I was all packed up, needing to move out of my apt and stuck with no movers, at 2pm on a holiday weekend. And, they offered to reschedule my move for Friday 6/4. Smh. So, unless you like to gamble on whether you will ACTUALLY have movers when you need them the most, I would definitely NOT recommend this company. read more

Now when the 2 guys got there they got right to work they didn't waste no time moving my things out with care. My move with this company was completely ridiculous and so awful as to be comical. I will be telling this moving story in my sixties. I set up the move with Nationwide moving, another terrible company. They told me I would get my shipment a week from the day that it left my apartment. That would have ended up being around June 9th or so. They contracted with infinity in Chicago for the move. When infinity came, I asked when my shipment would be delivered and they said it was guaranteed BY THE END OF THE MONTH. So I waited over 2 1/2 weeks to get my stuff. Infinity did not communicate with me at all before the move. I called them. I practically had to beg to get a delivery date. I asked to be notified of the final date at least two days in advance since I have a full time job. They called me at 4pm on a Thursday to tell me my shipment would be delivered the next day. I asked if they knew the time. Of course they didn't. I explained the concept of a full time job and why I needed to know a window of time. They didn't seem to get it. They later told me my shipment would ge there at 10am. I called the next day to confirm and they told me 7 or 8pm. Fine. I called at 7:30. We'll be there in two hours. I called at 9:45. We are 83 miles away. I called at 11. We'll be there in half an hour. I called at 12:06. No answer. They finally pull in front of my house at 12:30 on SATURDAY MORNING!!!!!!! It gets worse. They inform me that they don't take credit cards or personal checks or any other reasonable method of payment. Instead, they take cashier's check, cash, and money orders. They first informed me of this when they arrived at my house after midnight. They refused to deliver my things until I had one of these ridiculous forms of payment insisting that it was in the contract. I go to the atm and take out the maximum you can out of both cards. They didn't leave until 3AM. My stuff was in the back of the truck so other's people's stuff was all over the road. You read that correctly. Couches, lamps, boxes ALL OVER THE ROAD. They smoked- not in the house- but outside. They cussed a lot. They didn't finish unwrapping my things. I still have a tv that is fully wrapped up in plastic wrap. They made comments about how I was going to stiff them on tip IN FRONT OF ME. Please don't ever use this company. The experience couldn't have been worse. Remember, they left at 3AM! The only good thing about this experience is that I have a great cocktail party story to tell later. read more

Utilized this company for professional moving services, provided less than professional moving services. Movers utilized tactics to stretch out time, broke furniture. They were 45 minutes late. The owner refused to allow them to take my items off the truck even though payment was sent to him and he saw it but his bank had the zelle payment in pending status It took them 12 hrs, again because of their negligence for a job that should have taken 8. The movers moved 1 box at a time when moving me out of my old place, moved them into the hall first and then into the truck and left eaten sunflower seeds all over the public hallway. They did not bring tools to take beds apart even though upon booking the move I made it clear what needed to be done with the owner. Upon leaving my old apartment to go to the storage unit, I waited 30 minutes for them to arrive after I did. They broke a mirror and did not tell me, I found it broken laying to the side, they broke a piece off my dresser lost a velvet drawer inset and broke the brackets off an AC unit by being lazy and trying to drag it instead of picking it up. read more

All of my items were already packed and ready when this company arrived there were 3 men and it still took them over 4 hrs. These men were nice but I must say we're not properly trained to moved furniture. My new furniture was damaged pretty bad and I was charged $585.00 not to mention Mr.ELLIS tried charging me $720.00. My furniture is damaged so bad, all the leather was peeled off from them scrapping it against the doors. My doors are all scratched up. These men argued the whole time and complained about the job. My entertainer system has been chipped on both ends. I sent pictures to Mr.Ellis and he argued with me, cursed me out stating that his men didn't do that when he wasn't even there to witness them move and you can see the red from couch on the door that was scratched bad in the pictures. He then told me to take him to court. He wasn't apologetic, professional and he clearly showed that he didn't care at all. He hung up on me, stopped answering, this is the worst treatment and services I've ever had. Almost $600 I've paid and damaged furniture. I regret that I've chosen this company and I am warning you to go somewhere else do not do business with this company. You will be very disappointed. You will waste your money. Go somewhere else. Second time I use this company and both times I've been very pleased. Price is not bad and they have a friendly hard working staff. They did exactly what we needed them to do, move all boxes and furniture carefully and into my new home. I would definitely recommend. read more

I don't know where to begin from worst or worst. Movers was scheduled to be there at 9 AM., showed up only about 15-20 mins late OK... no biggie, but after they arrived the move went to hell. Let me back up a little I rented a uhaul for my nephew and a few of his friends plus his dad to move the boxes and bag, i thought it would be a good idea to hire movers to move the big items and not bang them up. WRONG IDEA. My nephew and friends loaded a uhaul, unloaded it at the new place which was only up the street and the so called professional movers was still taking there sweet time. I paid for 3 movers but only one came to work his name was Bo. the other two was old and complained the whole time, oh i have bad knees, if i known it was stairs i wouldn't have came, where is the nearest bus I'm going home. These was the things that was said while moving our furniture. my sister called the manager or owner whom ever he was twice and all he could say is I'm going to talk to them we will work something out. but nothing was worked out because at the end of the move i paid $545 for 4 1/2 hrs of bullshit and broken furniture. our sectional looks so bad i was almost in tears looking at it when trying to get the house in order. legs broke off, basically the furniture has to sit on the floor because one side have legs and the other side don't. Several of my family members said one of the movers smelled of liquor, maybe that's why they was moving like turtles, to much partying the next before. Get to the new place and all one of the guys can say we have to have money before we can unload. I probably wouldn't have had a problem with that if the job was done right but you have the nerve to come at me about money when the service so far has been horrible. It took my nephew and his friends to help them unload the furniture and once done it was like they was rushing to get out of here. I'm like wait who putting together the beds, and dining room tables they had to break down. trying to run out without putting together the things they broke down when we was told that the movers wrap the furniture, break down and put back together. Bo the one who actually came to work put my bed and mirror back on my dresser the other two complained about putting the dining room tables together. Then the finally straw was i gave him $544 he says I'm a dollar short i need that before i can put the dining room table together. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? PLEASE AND I MEAN PLEASE IF YOU CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY DON'T!!! YOU HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF GATHERING SOME FRIENDS AND FAMILY THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR VALUABLES BETTER THAN THESE GUYS. Ellis is the owner of Infinity movers ..known scam artist. he hires men off the street with no-moving experience or equipment to move people valuable items.Infinity movers don't have any insurance to pay for items they damage. I Hired him and he and three of his guys destroyed my machine, that they had to move from the garage to the house only 100 feet. They came with no truck no tools, no gloves, not even a dolly. Chris M Just had this company move my girlfriend or should I say I helped them move her. Where do I begin, first of all my appointment was at 8am, I called the owner "Ellis " at 7:45am to confirm seeing that I hadn't heard from him. He proceeds to tell me that I canceled my appointment, which I never did and why would I be calling you to confirm. He tells me that the movers will be there at 9am, two guys show up who can barely lift 10lbs each and I had to help them load truck. Once we were done I give them the address to the new place and needless to say they got lost. Instead of going 1100 south they went 1100 north, I had to help them unload the truck and when "WE" were done they charged me for 3hrs of work $285. Already contacted the BBB!! 1st, they came late after the receptionist confirmed time 4 days in a row & when they got there they said the receptionist said I was running late, LOL! I only had 3 chairs, desk and a bookcase. Guess what--they said they could not move bookcase b/c it was too big & need 3 guys to move. Mind you, 2 guys moved it in previously with no problem. I'm a 110 lbs soaking wet & I was able to move across the room. Once they loaded up, the driver couldn't find the truck key, LOL! Wasted 25 mins. looking for that and then want to walk through my house looking for key rambling which I stopped. Offered no apology, discount, etc. STAY AWAY. DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!! Infinity Movers is the first moving company I have ever use, and I have to say that this by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. First of all when I first contacted the company, I initially spoke with Ellis, the owner. Off the bat, I told him I had an unusual request. I needed to be moved from the second floor apartment to another building, 5 minutes away. I was needing them to then move my friend out of the apartment out the 3rd floor apartment to the 1st floor apartment, then move my things into the 3rd floor apartment... Mr. Ellis told me that that would not be a problem and that he could give me 3 men for 5 hours, at the fee of $605.00, I was sold and we confirmed the date and time, May 5th, 2018 at 8 a.m. The movers called my cell phone the morning of, at 7:41 a.m. to tell me that they were having some maintenance issues with the truck and that they would be there at 8:30 a.m. The movers were and hour late, they pulled into the alley of my apartment building smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee...And the damn truck was smoking from the rear right tire...wtf??? Once they arrived, I asked if Ellis explained to them in detail the specifics of the move. They stated that Ellis didn't tell them anything! So, I explained to them everything . They had the look of utter disbelief! They saw what I had and told me that I didn't have a whole lot, just mostly boxes, but then they quickly assumed that they were not going to be able to finish the move in the 5 hour time frame. They were fast getting everything out of my old apartment . They got it done in 1 hour. Once we got to the new apartment building they moved my bff from the 3rd floor down to the 1st floor. They then came back upstairs to me, because mind you they had not moved my things off of the truck yet! They wouldn't pull the moving truck into the driveway because they claimed the owner wouldn't allow them to. So, now we are down to 2 hours, and before they could move my things into my apartment, they come talking about they were going to take a lunch break!!!! WHAT!!! Nah... I told them that they had a job to finish. They started talking about, they were going to need an extra 2 hours, which meant that I would have to pay an additional $242!!!! I told them that I had the money that Ellis told me would get my move done in 5 hours. They stood and argued with me, saying that Ellis couldn't have told me that, and if he did he was just quoting me an estimated price... So, they called Ellis, and hhe' as old and senile as he could be, because then he starts to tell me he didn't tell me that!!! Then he goes on to tell me that if the men couldn't finish the job in two hours then they were just going to set my things outside on the ground and leave, unless I paid the extra money. So, for fear of my things being left outside, I made the original payment of the $605.00. plus a 3% transaction fee that they sprung on me at the last minute, which brought my total to $623.00. After arguing with the senile owner, Ellis, the movers stood arguing with me. saying that they weren't going to help!!! WASTING TIME!!!!!!! Ultimately my family and I still ended up having to manually move. We had to help the movers move my things up 3 flights of stairs, which totally defeats the whole purpose of me hiring a MOVING COMPANY TO MOVE MY THINGS, SO I DON'T HAVE TO!!! I'M PISSED!!! The 3 movers were great! They were very fast and efficient. I was extremely upset that a 2 hour minimum requirement was not disclosed during any conversation. I was charged for 2 hours of work but the job was completed in an 1 hr 15 min which included the 5 min conversation before and after the job was completed. The owner was very deceiving and I will contact Attorney General's office and file a complaint. read more

Infinity movers moved me from Chicago to Bellwood they were very professional and curteious with the move I really loved this company and would recommend this company to my friends and family they packed me and set up all my furniture and didn't break nothing I was very satisfied with the company and the workers were very nice and friendly and really cared about my furniture. My mother and I decided to support the community and hire this black owned business to help us with our move. From the start it seemed great, Mr. Ellis was very polite and professional he called the night before and the morning of to confirm the move. The movers showed up on time, actually 10 minutes early, but from there it all went down hill. One of the movers complained of back problems the other sweated profusely saying he was sorry that he had partied and drank all night, the night before. They moved extremely slow, they seemed very inexperienced as they were having problems moving all the big pieces of furniture, actually causing me to tell them to just leave the couch because not only were we two hours into the move but they had already scratched the back of it and they hadn't even made it down the stairs yet. They lost hardware to my moms dresser mirror, they unplugged the fridge and didn't plug it back up causing our food to go bad as we didn't notice till the next day when we went to finish up the move. Once at the new place we where into our third hour so we had to help them unwrap everything, and they didn't set anything back up but just dumped it in the dining room. They also asked to bum cigarettes from my mom and smoked as they moved. At the end of it we paid over 400 dollars for a horrific incredibly unprofessional move. When we reached out to Mr. Ellis to complain he basically called us a liar saying his movers said they didn't unplug the fridge and they left the hardware to the dresser in the drawers. This was the biggest mistake ever hiring them and the worst move ever!!!!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! read more
