Moved from Chicago to California and I was impressed with Reebie Storage & Moving/Allied Van Lines from start to finish. They made what can be a very stressful event into a seamless and satisfactory process. I could not be more thankful that everything turned out exactly as planned. PRE-MOVE: Andrew was my Estimator/Moving Consultant and he was very easy to work with on our quick virtual survey. When I received the quote, which was very competitively priced compared against the other companies I had quote, he was not pushy and did not follow up an excessive amount to try and win the business (like some other companies did!). He answered questions quickly over email and was very transparent through the entire process. Everything was then handed over to my Moving Coordinators Amanda & Angel, who were also lovely to work with. A few days before my move, I received a text message to confirm when my movers would arrive to my apartment. MOVING DAY: My moving team led by Nicholas was scheduled to arrive on January 13 between 8-9:30AM. They arrived at 8:45AM to my high rise apartment and had fully gotten everything (about 70 boxes & free-standing items total) into the truck by 9:45AM- they were so efficient! I opted to pack all of my things myself, but they did disassemble my bed frame for me and added any additional padding where they thought necessary. He walked me through my inventory list and explained that my things would first be delivered to their warehouse in Franklin Park, then when they fill a truck headed to California my things would be on their way. DURING THE MOVE: They loaded my things on January 13, and I got my first call from my Coordinator regarding the status of my move on January 24. She let me know that my things were scheduled to depart for CA soon. I also received a call from my driver, Santiago, the night before my delivery to confirm what time he would be arriving. DELIVERY DAY: The estimated delivery day was January 20-30 and timing was 8:30AM. My things arrived on January 29 at 8:15AM. All 70+ items were accounted for and nothing was damaged. The boxes all seemed to be in decent shape considering their 2000 miles voyage. Santiago unloaded the truck himself, leaving all the boxes in the rooms I specified and reassembled my bed frame. Been a customer for almost a decade. When I received my stored goods, a family heirloom brass chandelier, 55 years old, was missing. Some other goods may be too; not sure yet. Filed a claim with the company. Received a fast but disgraceful reply. I expected about $2,000 but was told I'd get less than $200! Reebie's rationale tells all one needs to know about the ethos and culture of this outfit. I was told that because the chandelier was old, it must not be very valuable. I'm not as stupid as Reebie apparently thinks I am. (Old things can be very valuable, duh.) They also told me who they are when claiming that since I'd been in the warehouse a couple of times, things can get lost. Knowing where stuff is pretty much defines the very purpose of a STORAGE business. Old family owned businesses unworthy of your patronage. read more

After having to relocate for work, I was fortunate enough to find Reebie and have them help me with my hectic move. They definitely exceeded my expectations, they were not only on time, but really friendly and took care of my things. Also there were no surprise fees at the end of my move. Not to mention their prices were much better than any other moving company, which made the move a no brainer for me. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again in the future. read more

Long story short - the company damaged my furniture, acknowledge that they did so, and only offered me pennies to fix it. I am disappointed that they would not be customer focused and standby their handling of my furniture. More details - when I asked for the various quotes on insurance, I assumed I had nothing fragile, so I did not take the highest level of insurance. This was my mistake as they damaged a very sturdy bedframe. When bringing this to their attention, they pointed me to my failure of not buying the highest level of insurance, even though they clearly damaged my bedframe. In a black-and-white world, they are right. In a world where we customers have a decision and we should make it based on how we get treated, I would not recommend Reebee to anybody. TL;DR AVOID REEBIE AT ALL COSTS. Our family has moved over 10+ times, including multiple times cross country / long distance, and Reebie were by FAR the worst movers we've ever had. Some highlights from our truly awful experience: **They don't deliver on time.** - The movers missed their nearly week-long delivery window by 5 days. When we asked for an explanation about the delay, we found out it was a conscious decision by the company to screw us, because another pickup was cancelled so they were just waiting for another customer to fill their truck. **The delivery experience was terrible and exceedingly stressful.** - Expect brazen unprofessionalism. The movers do NOT care about your belongings and will be completely reckless with your stuff, banging things into walls/hanging art. One of the movers literally left a greasy black handprint on our white linen armchair - They left metal hardware and nails scattered on the floor. I was 37 weeks pregnant at the time and we have an 8 year old kid. - Cherry on top, we gave them water in plastic cups which they disposed of by throwing the cups on our front lawn. **The damage claims process is opaque and arbitrary.** - Don't expect to get anything back for any damages. We estimated over $1000 worth of damage and were ultimately reimbursed next to nothing, even though we bought full insurance with zero deductible. The claims adjustor ignored multiple emails disputing their arbitrary decisions / false assumptions. - Make sure you are given an inventory checklist and USE IT judiciously. We were not provided one, and later were forced to sign a blank inventory checklist that stated we received all our items. As a result, I was not able to recoup anything for the multiple boxes that the movers lost - They will NOT reimburse you for anything they damage if you packed it yourself. They will claim that you mis-packed your items, even if THEY crushed your boxes during transportation. CONCLUSION: AVOID REEBIE AT ALL COSTS. read more

Allied Van Lines goes by the major company Sirva. Don't be confused they own several moving companies and I would expect the service or lack of the same. This was a terrible experience to say the least. They shipped 60% of our shipment on July 17th and the balance came on August 9th. The 2nd shipment was stored at their warehouse. There was no planning on what they shipped, so when things showed up nothing was usable or complete. This shipment ended up with about 3,000 dollars worth of damaged items due to their careless handling. We were told they would reimburse us for the late shipment that was denied. It seems as long as they deliver 1 item, they have fulfilled their contract. We were told to submit receipts for items purchased during our wait, this was after the fact. It seems food is not a necessary item as that is not reimbursable. Kind of hard to cook without utensils and pots and pans. Also, our original estimator Roberto Vinci ghosted us during this process. We had numerous calls and emails to him, but he never responded. Personally, I would never use this company, they are quick to sign you up but after that, the follow through is pathetic. Don't use Reebie storage for your moving needs. The lady in the office is very sweet but other than that the rest is terrible. They tried to upcharge me every chance they got. They delivered 5 days late and didn't inform me until the day before delivery was supposed to happen. Then they promised another delivery date and were again a day late. Terrible experience with Reebie. They can't be trusted and are super unreliable. Go elsewhere as you deserve a better overall experience than this shady Company. I moved two weeks ago to Atlanta from Chicago. During the stress of the COVID-19 situation, this should have been incredibly stressful but it ended up being as positive an experience as it could be considering the situation. I got 8 estimates total- half were via video. ESTIMATE: Tim Granata was my estimator, and he was very thorough and professional. I was pleased with his work, and he came very close to being the lowest, but doing the estimate in person was a critical need for me. Many companies don't come out these days. PREPARATION FOR MOVING DAY: Sandra Trujillo, coordinator: She was kind, patient, professional, and so helpful. We kept in touch about the timeline, checkpoints, etc. Thankful to work with her! She walked me through the cost of the move, and what some extra charges may be incurred. I have a dining room table that has two panes of glass, and they hired a third party company to handle the crating and dismantling of the table so it is protected as much as possible. The additional cost was needed to protect the table. ($150+) PACKING: I paid for packing services. I did some packing, and I had storage off site so I could keep my condo clean and "stage" it for the sale. Right at 8:30 AM, three people showed up: Crew leader Juan Romero, Jose Trujillo, and Jonathan Valdovinos came and began packing my entire condo up right away. They worked super efficiently and quickly. I expected packing to take the morning to pack, and then the afternoon to load. THEY WERE FINISHED by 1 PM! I was so incredibly impressed with the speed and care they showed my items. Stretch wrapped bins, blankets around furniture, boxed up mattresses, the whole 9 yards. Nothing left to do once they were done but to start driving to GA- I thought I was going to leave that evening but I left at 1 DELIVERY: Frank Russell, master mover, helped coordinate the timing to deliver. Things happened fast since my previous window was cleared due to cancelled meetings. Frank and his two contractors: Bill Sr. and Bill Jr worked incredibly hard, in the rain, to get things put into my place and used blankets to protect the condition of the apartment. Once everything was placed into my apartment, they all worked on setting my furniture where I wanted it, and set up my bed frames and other items. I had them place a lot of the stuff in the extra bedroom so I could get to unpacking at my own pace. It was a lot of work, and Frank stayed around to make sure that I was happy. There was some damaged items, and as I unpacked, I found some other items that were broken upon transit- but Sandy provided me with a claim form and I am going to have 9 months to sort through everything that I saw needed to be addressed. I'm not that worried. Broken lamp globe, one of my desk chairs had a broken castor because it may have been dropped (it is a specialty chair is rated for 400 lbs so I am unsure if I can get a new castor and wheel for replacement, or if the chair has to be replaced). My coffee table isn't put together properly bc a screw was bent, a few trays were broken in transit that held utensils and other miscellaneous items. Nothing that can't be addressed when the time comes. Frank left me with a razor blade so I could get into the boxes easier, and also told me he tried to get a replacement castor for my desk chair but out of the dozens he had, none of them fit. I told him about it being a specialty chair...he understood. Working with Frank and the two Bills also was less stressful than I thought it should be. I was VERY happy and felt bad about the weather. The third party that they used here in GA to put together my dining room table wasn't great. They called me directly numerous times instead of working with the moving company, and I had no idea what to tell them about timing. When they showed up, they were upset because the table is somewhat intricate, they immediately called their office to complain. It was so awkward. Two days later, Sandra told me their estimate was off. I ended up paying $350+ to have it put back together, which I think was high. This has nothing to do with the moving company- but I was unhappy with the experience of working with the other company. The one who took the table apart charged less than $150 all in. It's not a lot at first, but the cost of the move was over $6000 for a two bedroom condo. I feel like that was a huge expense, so it was insulting to see the contractors be upset and call their boss ro complain about it while I was standing right there. I have 9 months to file my claim and I had full insurance so I don't expect a big problem. Sandy was so professional and I appreciated the chance to work with her and the rest of the team. This experience definitely endued up being worth the stress and cost. Sandy made it her mission to make sure I was pleased. 1st I will say the moving coordinator, and manager (Anthony) were amazing to deal with. The movers at pick up in IL and delivery to ND were also amazing! Was very impressed with their communication and how they went out of the way without hesitation to assist when they could. Now, the reason for 1 star. The main selling point and why we selected them was because of their motorcycle transport promise that's 100% false. They promised to crate the motorcycle and charged us for transport. At pick up, the driver was not comfortable putting my Harley on his trailer and asked for me to ride it to their facility in Franklin Park. After explaining to me that they don't "crate" motorcycles and just put pads over it and tie it down, I explained that is not how it was explained to me. He asked again that I just ride it to the facility and would Uber me back home, so I did. They had me ride it into the warehouse where the truck was being unloaded. I called my moving coordinator and explained what happened and what he had told me in turns of crating the Harley. She explained to me that what he told me was false and she again explained their process and assured me it was communicated and even over communicated with how it needed to be loaded and crates. Again, this was the whole reason we selected them in the first place. She followed up to let me know she communicated to the loaders how it needed to be created, and her manager also promised he would make notation as well. On the 11th day, our truck finally showed up with all of our belongings. The driver of the truck asked me to step in to the trailer and what I saw was unbelievable. My custom Harley Davidson was laying on its side. I called and spoke to the manager and moving coordinator and they both told me that the loaders did not do it correctly. The driver that delivered our goods said it looks like they purposely may have tipped it and tied it down that way. Once we removed the padding there was gas all over the trailer and pads, my headlight was broken, scratches all over, oil leaking and a bunch of other significant cosmetic and motor damage. Once the motorcycle was taken off of the trailer and pulled outside, my heart was broken. Turns out there is thousands of dollars of damage done to the motorcycle all because they did not follow through with their promise and also did thousands of dollars of damage to our belongings. Because of this motorcycle incident, it's down for the rest of the summer. We also have damage to our clothing and belongings. Basically everything that was packed in the wardrobe boxes and other boxes or items that were directly behind the motorcycle where the gas leaked. I found out that they took everything off the original truck that picked up, put it into a warehouse, then another truck came that was re-loaded. Then that driver took that trailer to the destination out of the state we moved from, and dropped it off at another location. Then that trailer was picked up and taken to the destination. None of which is disclosed as part of the process. I will say the actual movers on both ends were AWESOME! Just not sure what happened in the middle when the Harley and other items were loaded into the new trailer. I do not recommend Rebiee or Allied AT all!!! If you do with them, make sure you have a good homeowners policy, or take out their insurance and pay the extra for it. I will just say thank goodness we did even knowing we are in the hook for the deductible because of their negligence. Now that I am seeking reimbursement for the motorcycle transport, and still waiting for the 3rd party to come and install a cabinet we already paid services for, Reebie is non responsive by email or phone like they were before they got our money. read more

They were a week late, they had to transfer my stuff several times, and the last time it was transferred to such a small truck that every box was smushed. I'm still waiting on several hundred dollars of claims. Don't use them, pay more for someone better. read more

My husband and I moved from Naperville, Illinois, to Knoxville, Tennessee, and decided to hire Reebie Storage & Moving (Allied). We have moved four times before and have also used Planes (United) and Prager (at the time North American). The were both good (at the time), but Reebie has been our best moving experience ever! Pete (sales) gave us a very accurate and straight forward estimate for the costs. His no nonsense quote and the consistency of having the same driver from Illinois to Tennessee was very important to us for our interstate move. Our driver Greg was awesome!! His decades of experience (46 years), contentiousness and friendly personality made the move very low stress. On top of that, he is honest!! (which is rarely if ever seen nowadays) We had slight damage to one of our tables on the move out, and I wasn't going to mention it because it just wasn't a big deal. Greg approached me to mention he saw the damage and wanted to make it right. Clearly he is a man of high integrity! He oversaw our move out and move in crews and they were both awesome as well!! Everything went so well, which made us very happy. Moving is such a stressful and overwhelming experience, and the right mover is a critical part of it. We HIGHLY recommend Reebie! read more

Although I have used this company for prior moves I will never do so again. In my most recent move the movers scratched my wood floors and denied they did so when pointed out to them. The company is refusing to pay the claim for the repair, stating that since their movers deny doing it then they must not have. Extremely poor customer service. read more

I have never written a bad review in my life. I have tried to get this straightened out for several months. I've even talked to the owner who was very sympathetic and told me to deal with Judy. My final straw was when Judy Fisher (in charge of claims) gave me a cryptic response of, "Go to our website and click on arbitration if you don't like our adjustment." Then I found out that you have to pay $450 to do arbitration! I guess most people just skip it but not until I speak my mind. Never, never work with these people. The salesman is wonderful. Unfortunately it's easy to give you great advice and a good price and then there is absolutely no follow through. He told us that we needed a 2 day move and that we should allow them to pack all of our valuables, china and several large pieces that would require special packers to come a day early and all of these items would be totally insured with a $500 deductible (we paid extra for the packing and the extra insurance) The packers came and crated everything and found out a couple of months later when the un-crater came and discovered that they had chipped the huge $3000 table top on one corner. He suggested that we ask Allied to send someone out to polish the edge - and guessed it would cost $500 - to $700. I should have asked for the $3000 because they didn't set up a repair and sent us a check for $300 for everything that was broken The 2 day move was a nightmare. Juan, the driver decided that he wanted it to be a one day move and we didn't find out until about 11 am. We were told by the salesman to leave our bedroom and office equipment until day 2. Suddenly we had to have everything packed and no place to sleep. It was a June day and about 95degrees out. Totally miserable. They finished at about 10:30 pm. So our 2 day move turned into a horrible 13 hour one day. I guess the movers thought it was a rental because they kept asking us if we really wanted to take this or that. "Aren't you going to leave this?" We ended up buying them lunch and McDonald's for dinner. When we reminded them that they were packing all of the china and fragile items they said they only had one box. We went to Uhaul to buy 14 china boxes. While we were gone they started taking some items (my bedroom lamp) out of a great big box and broke the base of the lamp, but not marked "packed by Allied"...Judy said they couldn't cover it. Since it was total chaos I'm amazed that Juan managed any kind of an inventory list. He had no idea what they packedand only knew for sure if it was in one of their packing blankets. Packing the china was a joke. One guy started grabbing paper and stuffing it around all of my glassware. When we asked if he thought they could finish in a day he told us not unless we helped him. So we put all the plates and glassware into the special bubble wrap and the divided boxes. That saved those. The ones they packed didn't fare so well. He put a new glass pitcher on the bottom and of course it cracked. But Juan didn't mark the box.. So they just said we packed it all if it wasn't in a crate or a blanket. We were also told that if any other box came in smashed that would obviously be their fault. I told Judy that the first 3 boxes to come off the truck were promptly dropped. I offered to send her the picture of the smashed box, but she said she didn't need it. That is because she couldn't find it on Juan's list as "packed by Allied". We didn't even find that box again for several months as it was buried. It contained a smaller box with a LLadro in about 100 pieces that had been given to me by my in-laws after they took a trip to Spain in the 80's. I thought they would want to know it's value before I sent in my claim. It is now costing $499. They didn't care because that box wasn't marked by Juan. Never mind that they smashed it. Oh, as a side note, when the movers came here in Montana, my husband went to their car and a cloud of pot smoke came floating out of the car. He didn't tell me until afterwards because I was already so upset at the initial move. We ended up paying our head builder all day to help out because he saw the cloud and then the first box go rolling down the hill. The salesman told us he would charge us extra to move our baby grand piano and put it in our upstairs. Juan immediately wanted to put it in the middle of our living room.....skip the couches! He said they absolutely would not move it upstairs. Our builder solved the problem and drove to pick up a lift and eventually it was lifted through the upstairs balcony....with little help from the movers. Movers left many boxes at the house and the next day we spent hours cleaning up their mess and ended up throwing away many items that woudn't fit into our car. Total disaster. It's unfortunate that some of the prior reviewers had poor experiences with the actual movers/packers. It's ultimately what makes or breaks your impression. I worked with Matt Schore (who visited my home and took inventory) and Canaan Bartz (who coordinated) and could not be happier. Matt was very professional, empathetic, and straight-forward. I was still cautiously optimistic because I'd had a horrific experience during my first interstate move about 1 year prior with United Van Lines, notably because it was impossible to get in touch with anybody after I had submitted the money and it took months for them to deliver me items that were missing. In contrast and without going into too much detail, Canaan was impeccable with his communication and execution including the arrival of the packer, craters (for some glass furniture), loaders, unloaders and un-craters. In terms of damages, I did notice a huge tennis-ball sized dent on the top surface of my wooden TV stand but they were quick to offer compensation. In the craziness of my move though I never went ahead with the request (as my TV essentially covers it up) so I can't speak as to how well they would have handled that. Even several months later, when I needed documents to submit to my company for reimbursement, Canaan was prompt and helpful. I hope I never need to move across states again but I would use these folks again without a single hesitation. read more

Beware of this company. Everything was great until the actual move. First they lowballed the bid so the final cost was 30% higher - this was after we sold several large heavy items prior to the move that were included in the quote. I walked the salesman through the house and he say everything and said he was getting it all. The driver that delivered said their sales people do that all the tile to win the business. Second, the movers were careless and broke several items that they were paid to pack - furniture, lamps, glass picture frames. We were reimbursed for the damaged items but some of them had sentimental value and can't be replaced. They claim they don't use day laborer's but on both ends of the move I watched the driver pay them all in cash. Get several quotes and think twice about using Reebie. read more

They moved us from Chicago to California. We actually had a really good experience until the very the end of delivering our stuff to California. The in home estimate was great, they were able to get us on the next truck out to California a couple weeks later and our customer service coordinator was a very responsive emailer. They had three super efficient guys move us out in Chicago, they were awesome as well as our guys in California delivering. The huge hiccup -they left our couch in Chicago (it never left the warehouse) and didn't tell us this until move in day (even though they knew two weeks prior when they picked up our stuff). We could have planned for not having a couch if they told us, but no we found out on move-in day instead. When they showed up in California we told them there was 100 steps up a huge hill and they only showed up with 2 guys (they said it should have been a 4 guy job) so it took way longer than it should have. We asked the drivers if anyone told them they needed for people and they said "no, corporate doesn't care about telling us that though." Oy. They told us to "Call the 1800 # on Monday" to find out what happened with the couch, they said they had no idea but they've known for weeks that they wouldn't have it. It took them a full week to just get back to us just to tell us that our couch never left chicago and that they'd send it to us IN A MONTH. Their only consolation was giving us back $250 on a $3500 which was a joke. I ended up talking to their sketchy CEO (Sal) because no one would help us get our couch faster or give us a better discount or buy us a new couch. Sal's only consolation was that "they're not required by law to send me my couch sooner." Umm, no duh Sal, it's called customer service, you're supposed to do it because you promised me a service you're not delivering on. He was so rude, didn't know how to talk to customer and tried to lecture me on the policies of the moving industry. I told him I'd post my accurate review onto yelp since I was really dissatisfied and that given my husband was working from home full time and really needed the couch because it was his only place to sit, I was hoping they could send me my couch a week later or pay for me to just get a new couch. He got really upset that I would "post lies to yelp" and threatened to sue me! It actually got comical at this point because he clearly didn't care at all. Honestly, they were great in the beginning but at the end of the day, a moving company needs to get all your stuff there, safe and sound and on time and they failed to deliver on that. And, it seems like their customer service reps have a better sense of how to be customer-first than their CEO Sal. I don't know how that company operates with that man as a leader. Long story short - don't use them and beware that they also operate under the "Allied" name. read more

I have moved across the country FIVE times, and every one of them was with Reebie. After using other movers in the past, I would never use anyone else but Reebie. I just recently moved from San Francisco to Chicago, and I worked with Jackie from the Franklin Park office. Jackie is the absolute best! She's proactive in texting me with updates on how my moving plan is progressing, from packing my things to shipping my car across the country. She happily takes my calls from her home late at night. I engaged Reebie/Allied for my move from Chicago to Toronto in Canada. From the very beginning of this engagement, I knew I made the right choice. Pete arrived early to the initial assessment. He was professional and had a great personality. I felt comfortable working with him immediately. I was particularly impressed that he came with a summary of his experience and offered references! I Throughout my entire journey, Pete and Angel were incredible advisers; asking questions along the way and even proactively reached out to me when I had forgotten some big decision dates. The crews who performed the packing and move arrived early each day, and were efficient and professional to the point where it was actually better for me to not be there while they were working. And then, you guys switched the entire plan for me hours after the planned 30 day storage delivery turned into a 2 hour storage engagement. You worked weekends and even on PTO while supporting family. I even received work from your team after midnight! I must say though that the only reason I'm not leaving five stars is due to the service across the border on the Canadian side. Frankly, the guy who delivered our stuff was literally negotiating with me to assemble my stuff for days before the delivery. And, on the delivery day, he was passive-aggressive as heck and actually insisted that we help with assembly! This was absolutely the best experience I have ever had with a move. From the initial call to Jackie Pryszcz, who was so professional, warm, encouraging, knowledgeable, and helpful, to the day of the move staff, Andres and crew, it was nothing short of perfect. Our home and belongs were treated with such care. The estimate was spot on, and very fair pricing. They packed to perfection. The staging of the inventory, the tagging of the inventory, really I cannot say enough! I would highly recommend them to anyone, and already have to two of my friends. Literally delivered empty boxes that was supposed to contain TV and monitors to my home. Damaged items during the move. We just completed a long distance move from Arlington Heights , Illinois to Bradenton , Florida and used this outstanding company. They packed all of our China. Crystal, lamps and furniture. We did many of our own packing of non breakables. NOT ONE item was broken or damaged in any way. All of our furniture was well wrapped and well cared for. Delivery was as promised and all communication was excellent. Every one of our concerns, worries and questions were answered in a professional manner. We were shown the true weight receipt of our items and actually received a refund check in the mail!!! How honest can one be? I have to say, I hate moving. But, Reebie made this experience great. From beginning to end. The rep who came out was knowledgeable and explained there services very well. The quote I was given came in pretty close, which made my day. I was given free boxes to pack my belongings and they even brought wardrobes out on the day of the move. So while they were stretch wrapping and padding my furniture, I was hanging my clothes in the wardrobes. It was a nice touch! They even stretched wrapped my mattresses. Just a big FYI - Reebie Storage and Moving is not liable for anything. While moving a month ago they dropped my 3 year old 65" Samsung TV on edge and ruined it. I had to replace it with a comparable TV that cost $2000. Then I find out early that evening that my desk (last piece brought up to the apartment) was dropped off the truck ramp and severely damaged. They glued and taped the corners and left the site. The 2 locking file drawers were also damaged and unlockable. The desk cost $1500. 9 years ago. To replace the desk with an equivalent cost me $2600. What did Reebie Storage and Moving do for me? Sent me a check for $57. Barely worth the trip to the bank to cash it. When signing the contract I chose option 1 - .30 per pound liability. Option 2 was vague "depreciated value protection". We would most likely be going back and forth on an amount due had I chose 2. It's a good thing the truck didn't drive off a bridge because they would have sent me a check for few hundred dollars to cover thousands of dollars worth of furniture, clothing etc.. I talked to their rep Pete and was told I needed to file a claim. I asked if they could send someone out to do their own damage report since I was busy unpacking and needing to get to Florida to meet up with their truck that was bringing a few things down to our place. I also asked if they dealt with a furniture repair company that may be able to make my desk usable. What was their response? I received an e-mail stating they will be sending a check for $57. When dealing with companies in business or in general most will stand behind their product and service. Did Reebie Storage and Moving stand behind their service? NO. I have moved several times cross the US and Canadian/US border. I have used Allied often over the past 8 years but this is likely my last time. One can always expect some minor damage with a move but I have never had such badly damaged items occur as I did with this move. And the recourse has been terrible. I had a desk that was damaged -they provided me $60 to cover the damage. Cost to repair was $349. A brand new 65" inch TV - still in manufacturers box - they weren't even going to cover as they didn't pack it. It was still in the box that manufacturers use to ship it from overseas! After talking to the president they agreed to provide $30 on a brand new TV that cost $1800! The repairs/replacement cost another third of the cost for the entire move! When getting the quote (by phone and email) I was given a quote but I ended up moving less items and it required much less time to move - however they wouldn't reduce the cost. I never met the actual movers (they had hired hands load and unload) until I cleared my belongings at the Canadian border. If you move with them - TAKE OUT THE EXTRA INSURANCE! read more

My husband was relocated to Chicago, and his institution provide him with the name of a few moving companies to help us move from Miami to Chicago. One of the recommended movers was Reebie Allied and since the day we contacted them we were pleased with the way they helped us. The price was great! We moved on June 19, and the truck was needed to make three stops to collect our belongs before heading to Chicago. Frank Russell showed up the first day with his crew and they all were great! It was the best moving experience I ever had (I moved four times before)! They were so professional, prompt, courteous, showed great attention to detail. Frank and his team packed everything with extremely care, and even carried extra bottles of water to offer us. We have had excellent communication during the entire move from pick up to drop off. Very good moving company overall We used this company to, first, store our items while we were shopping for a house in the Phoenix area. We didn't have a specific timeline as to when we would need out items shipped. So we first signed up for 3 months storage agreement and the the move after that time. As it turned out, we found a place to buy within 6 weeks. So we contacted Allied Van Lines to move our goods after the July 4th holiday (which is in their peek season). They quickly changed the order to move us earlier then expected. And they delivered our goods on time. The driver and helper arrived on time as requested. They moved out items quickly and in a professional manner. I was pleased to see the furnature was packed and wrapped so carefully. Our items were delivered without a scrach or mark. From all of the horror stories I have heard about moving companies I could not have been more pleased with the team of movers that were sent to my home to move me. They arrived on time and worked non- stop loading me up and asking questions along the way when it came to the condition of items they were packing up for the trip. The team I had was O. Diaz (Van Foreman), D. Lopez and M. Contreras, very polite and considerate of my stress level. I highly recommend Reebie. My sales rep, Jackie Pryszcz, was very helpful throughout the entire process. Rebbie was fantastic through the entire process for our cross country move. Jackie was great to answer all my questions and check in often to make sure everything was all set for our move. We got quotes from numerous companies and I am so glad we chose Rebbie. Moses our driver was fantastic. He was patient and kind. All of our stuff arrived safely with no scratches. The 3rd party vendors who helped with packing and moving at either end were in a bigger hurry and we ended up with some random boxes and things in the wrong place. AWFUL EXPERIENCE with Reebie Allied moving. Details: Prior to my move, customer service was responsive. It is clear this was just a tactic to win my business because once my items were loaded onto the truck, customer service was very difficult to get ahold of and when I received a response, they were dismissive of my concerns and frankly, they were rude. If I had wanted bottom-barrel service, I would have selected the least expensive moving option - which Reebie Allied certainly is not. Also, Reebie Allied provided a booklet outlining 'what to expect on moving day.' It includes information about movers protecting my home with floor runners and padding banisters and doorways. None of this occurred in my home which was especially disconcerting as I have an infant and I do not appreciate additional germs tracked in by shoes stomping throughout my home. Lastly, when my items arrived at their destination, several boxes - include boxes clearly marked FRAGILE - were crushed. I am extremely unsatisfied with my experience with Reebie Allied and I suggest those looking for a moving company search for alternatives. read more

I'm disappointed with Reebie's service. We recently had them pack our apartment in Chicago for a move to the West Coast. The packers were quite careless in how they packed things - e.g. putting a toilet plunger in a box with towels. They also broke a few items - including cracking a dresser, chipping chairs, amongst other things. We filed a claim with Reebie. They promised to get back to us within 7 days. It's been three weeks and still no response. It's unfortunate because we had used an Allied mover a few years ago and they did a great job. Id recommend looking for another option. read more

Reebie Moving and Storage A+++ experience. I relocated from Chicago to Texas and the Reebie team met every expectation and more. I called to get a phone quote and learned that they would provide a personalized in-home estimate. Since this was a move with my employer I already knew the exact dates I needed leave and arrive. With this information the estimator was able to tell me what day the packers would arrive, what day the moving truck would be there to load my items and estimated dates for arrival. This projected schedule was spot on!!! There were no hidden charges, no unexpected changes in dates. I was able to schedule every thing else around the information they gave me. This allowed me to arrive in Texas without any worries. I was pleased to see that the same driver who loaded my items in Chicago was the same person who delivered them in Texas. My bad for not writing this sooner, but I recently found another broken item from our move from Chicago to Portland a few years back. Nightmare would be the one word to describe our move. When we unpacked our belongings we were shocked to learn that there were so many broken items! They had also opened the large wardrobe boxes, turned them upside down and shoved other boxes in the bottoms of them. When we opened them up, all of our hanging clothes were bunched up and wrinkled...not to mention the fact that some of the boxes they shoved in there were Christmas ornaments. Were any of them broken? Many. Some of the boxes had holes in them. Some of our items never made it out here at all. Oh, and there was a box that didn't belong to us. We alerted Reebie to this, several times, that some other family's items were mixed in with ours, and they never sent anyone to pick it up to return to the owners. So I assume that's what happened to our lost items; they just ended up with another customer's load. Plain and simple, this company just doesn't care. Once they have your $$$ ($20,000 for our move from Chicago to Portland, OR; Reebie was the highest of the three estimates we got) they are gone, gone, gone. But worst of all was the attitude we got when we tried to get reimbursed for broken/lost items. We received a fraction of what the actual claim was. So, if reading reviews is part of your moving plan research, perhaps keep looking. read more

I've had two previous moving experiences with Rebbie. When they sent an estimator "Bill" for another transcontinental move he was clearly from the "Planet of No." My wife and I found him arrogant, condescending and unwilling to find a creative solution to our timing issues. We were clear about even paying premium costs to meet our deadline, which was three weeks away. His initial email bid was incomplete of information, clearly indicating he did not want our business. I needed something to compare to another bid. In the end, when the other highly reputable service proved to do everything they could to meet our needs, we politely alerted Bill they had won our business. Bill's response was entirely passive aggressive and included a bitter remark about hopefully the other service would live up to its promises.
