Pros: I didn't need an appointment. I'm visiting from out of town and they took me as a walk-in. It was inexpensive compared to my usual salon in the Chicago suburbs. They had a good selection of colors. Cons: Everything felt vaguely dirty, including the clearly used nail buffers and emery boards. The staff was chatty and horsing around, bordering on inattentive and unprofessional. A staff member was perched in a pedicure chair with her dirty, bare feet exposed. I do not recommend! They charge black people more than white people and take more care with white clients! They also thin your real nail bed & never do anything to clean the area around your fingers after messing them up!! Kim has a nasty attitude when you address her mistakes. If I could give a negative review I would. We made appointments ahead of time but they seemed confused we were there. I wanted a regular manicure and she she was ready to take off a no-chip. I told her multiple times not to cut my cuticles and when it was clear I asked the technician next to us if she was able to communicate with her colleague at which time she looked annoyed with me and then said the same thing I had to the technician working on me just louder which as you can imagine did no good. I had to ask her to use lotion and then again to use base coat. After the terrible experience it's not surprising that two days later my nails are all chipped. Avoid at all costs. read more

My friends and I went and personally, I had a nail that was already broken and the person doing my nail LEFT the broken part on the nail leaving it looking oddly ridged even though I asked for a new tip to be put on and the old broken one be removed. I had two others that had fallen off and the tech did not match the shape of the new tips well to my other nails at all. Additionally, at the end the tech doing my nails gave me a very odd massage??? In which he violently cracked all of my knuckles?? I was very taken aback and it hurt????? The tech doing my friends nails cut her finger and did not clean up the blood until she asked her to. i got here at 5:30 on a saturday for a walk in full set and they immediately got to me, some lady (seemed to be very experienced) laid my acrylic but then some other guy came and filed and did the french tips, mind you i showed both of them my inspo pic, the guy doing everything was new i could tell everyone kept coming over and watching and was telling him what to do. they close at 7:30 i was there until 7:50, it took the lady 20 mins to do apply tips and acrylic so the rest of the time was him doing filing and the french tips. they kept asking me if i liked and i did at first but then it just kept getting worse i was already irritated bc any other person this would've took 1 and a half hours to complete and took about 2 and a half to finish by the time they were done i didn't even get to get a close look they were rushing me out because it was past close. i go in next day and tell them i don't like them and asked if they could fix them, the lady immediately started talking another language to the other workers and then was very rough (filing my fingers and hurting my fingers) and didn't say one word until she said "i'll fix it for you one time but next time tell us the same day bc you're wasting our time and resources" i tried to explain they rushed me out and i was ignored another worker did the design after she filed them down and he said the same thing i felt like they were shaming me. it took them 25 mins to file my nails and redo french tips (i just got white ones instead to avoid them messing up the colors again) but yet the day before it took 2 hours? i tried to be nice and say thank you so much and got ignored. My son and his friends went to this salon for manicures. My son showed the male nail tech a picture of a manicure with green nails with heart details. My son said he wanted white nails instead. Not only did the nail tech file my sons nails aggressively, but he cut them and made them bleed. He asked if my son wanted acrylic nails - my son declined and said he just wanted regular polish. Instead, the nail tech dipped my son's nails and used gel polish. All this for $50!!! Seriously!?!? To that end, not only did he mess up my son's nails, the nail tech embellished the heart on the nail with a bunch of dots. What? Even his girl friends were horrified at the outcome. Absolutely ridiculous! I was very disappointed in what they gave me. they told me that they could do the nails in the picture i showed them. they did everything different from the picture i showed them. it was the worst acrylic nails i've ever had. they were uneven, very bulky, they put three tops coats on which i've never had done before. they didn't even use any white nail polish. the flames they gave me were holographic stickers that were ugly asf. i ended up going to another nail salon the next day to have them fixed. i wouldn't even rate this place a 1, they deserve a 0. read more

Kim had an attitude from when I first saw it down, and when she started doing my nails, but I did not take it personally because I knew that the salon was busy I wanted a very simple set a white French tip with a few letters. After she finished doing that, the nails were still very clumpy and not filed enough. I proceeded to wait about two more hours until she got back to me. By then it was late. And I was one of the very last people to still be in the salon even though I came before majority of the people that ended up leaving before me somehow. At that point, I was just very unhappy with the service, and the way that my nails looked the design did not come out the way I wanted it to at all it was very rushed. And it looked very sloppy and bad. I asked for my nails just to be removed I asked if I could just pay for the nail removal and not for the fill, she then proceeded to get very aggressive and mad. At this point, I was crying and just wanted to go home. She proceeded to threaten me and put her hands on me and tell me that she was going to call the police on me all that I want it was for my nails to be removed, it was a very Traumatizing situation for me I would not recommend anyone come here. read more

Walked in at 9:02a (with no appointment.)Two mins after opening they had three customers in getting their nails done. They had (from what I saw) 4 workers in the building and back area wax room. Someone got to my pedicure at 9:20a. They used a new in the package nail file, and buffer on each client (except the metal equipment.) The massage from the pedicure was outstanding. They did a good job on the pedicure. I brought in my own polish for my toes but they did have a decent selection of dip powers, regular, shellac and gel polishes. I went in for an acrylic removal. They had a young lady start me that tried her best but slime zero e gosh which was hard for me to tell her what I wanted and how to shape. I have been going here for years off and on. I have never had such a bad experience as I did today. I took my mother both my daughter's my niece and my daughter's friend in today for nails. That's 6 people that's $437 in services, not including what we tipped. I have an event Saturday my toes look a mess. When I calls Kim said it would be fine. Then I get there and the guy is trying paint over the bad polish with a stripping brush. Instead of taking it off and doing it again. So I said to Kim as a fellow business owner I stand by what I do. I would fix any service someone is not happy for up to two weeks and it hasn't even been a day. You would let someone paint over an already bad job rather than start over. Then I was told he doesn't understand English. He understood everything I said when I fist came back. I understood him just fine, I have never thought that anyone working there had a language issue. Just because a person may have an accent doesn't mean I don't understand what they are saying. No one had any problem understanding me when they were taking my money! This nail salon does a great job except both times I have been here I have had to wait 30+ minutes for my appointment I scheduled ahead of time. Also, I leave work early because the latest appointment they will take is at 6 yet I don't usually get helped until closer to 7PM. It is extremely frustrating at this point and I'm not sure I'll be back. I understand they are busy but both aspects of time need to be respected. read more

They do a good job but pretty expensive. $43 for shellac pedicure. As a college student, I have a budget so I probably won't go here again. Although I will give them 4 stars since they do a really good job! Also very nice staff. Would recommend giving a college student discount..... lol read more

Very disappointed! Came in for a manicure, and thought it was going good until the worker (didn't catch their name) was doing cuticle work and ripped my skin. I've had small nicks from nail techs before, but it was bleeding consistently. Not to mention, they took nail glue and applied it over my cut. I'm assuming they were trying to "stop" the bleeding? Not too sure. Very unsanitary. Also, as you can see in the pictures the actual nail polish got all over from bad application which wasn't the biggest deal to me but he never cleaned them up. One of the only places that I could find that was open on Sunday! Very quick service, walked right in and sat down without an appointment. Not a huge selection of colors for powder dip, but had the perfect bright white that I was looking for. Very friendly staff! Appeared that there were some people in a training phase that had some supervision and guidance, which was great! The manicure itself came out really nice. I did not have an appointment so they were able to fit me in for a manicure and pedicure within 20 minutes, which was super nice of them because they were understaffed. I am from out of town and did not know of any places to go, so this was the closest to where I was at. The scrub during my pedicure was a little rough but I thought it was just me since I hadn't had a pedicure in a while. When I got home I noticed they had literally scraped my foot. But the prices were relatively cheap, so I probably paid for what I got minus the scrape. read more

I am a regular nail salon attendee from Battle Creek, I was very disappointed and quite angry at this visit. I started off the appointment needing some nails taken off for a full set, now I am all to familiar that nail removal can be painful but this was excruciating pain. When trying to remove my nail he was unable to but still proceeded with going at it with another fake nail how they usually lift the nails, when doing this he somehow managed to rip up my natural nail (mind you, this was like in the center of my nail) then he decided to try to remove it with the buffing drill, that's when he started to make it bleed and to fix that he put nail glue on top of it instead of trying to get it to stop bleeding with literally anything else. After the pain from that started to go down he then put on what I imagine is the "primer" for the gel nail, which immediately stung, now I am a big girl and can handle pain because I've been through this a few times but this time just really seem to stick out because I have never had somebody treat my nail like that. Moving on l asked for a very short nail because my job requires me to type a lot and it's just very hard for me to have long nails. When he cut it short I asked him to go shorter and he seem to sigh and not agree with that so I said whatever because I didn't feel like causing a commotion. Then he asked me what shape I wanted and I said coffin which he was unable to shape because it looks square as heck. 10 out of 10 would not recommend this place they don't really seem to care much about The customer or customer satisfaction me and the other person I went with both came home with bleeding cuticles/nails. read more
