Harold, owner of Inflate and Go, is the Prince of Antioch!! Around 7:15 pm the Sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend, I hit something on the side of road. Both driver's side tires were destroyed--flat in seconds. I called AAA for a tow which had to be from Antioch to my usual brake and tire place in San Leandro. Far from Antioch, but what was the alternative? The dispatcher knew of nothing open that late, or the entire next day Memorial Day. Already upset with the tire damage, and the very disconcerting situation, I faced a long ride with the tow truck technician/driver back to Oakland and no chance of tire replacement for at least 2 days. I called the dispatcher again. "Is there anyone, anything, you can think of?" This was almost 8 pm. Lo and behold, the dispatcher said, "Try this place. He might be able to help." She gave me the phone number of a man who turned out to be my miracle worker/guardian angel: Harold, the owner of Inflate and Go. He was as kind, helpful, and patient as could be. After ascertaining that he had the right replacement tires, Harold said he was just completing another job, and would wait 'til me and my car arrived. I told him I wasn't sure when the tow truck driver would arrive. Harod said, "Don't worry, I'll wait until you get here"--calming and reassuring music to my stressed ears! He replaced the two tires, making sure all was well, tire pressure, balancing, etc, assuring me the "tire symbol" light on the dashboard would go off as soon as a i started driving. He waited to make sure, and answered even more questions. Harold's assistant, Mattatias (spelling?) was also kind and helpful. Thank you Harold. I wish I could rate this place ZERO STARS!!! I called ahead & asked if they'd be open until 8 like it says on google & the guy who answered was like, "well stay open till 10 if you need us too!" So I'm all excited to go because I desperately needed new tires. I rush over after work & there's other people being helped. So I waited patiently & the guy told me, "hey so I have your size tires they'll just be a little tall." & me not knowing shit about tires ask, "oh will that be okay? Will it fit?" & he assures me it'll be fine & to park on the side & wait. So I did. Waited patiently like a good little girl for 45 minutes. Then when everyone left he comes back to my car & tells me he doesn't think putting the tall tires on my car would be a good idea. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? If you didn't think it was a good idea, why tell me to WAIT FOR NOTHING!!! Worst customer service I've ever had. I'm still in shock. This would've never happened to my boyfriend or my brother, but he saw a dumb woman who didn't know shit & decided to not help her, but to waste her time & not even a simple sorry was uttered. Oh yeah & then he tells me if I really want him to order them they won't come in until Tuesday because mondays Memorial Day & obviously you need them before then.
