So when we called Big O tires, they seem very friendly and happy to have us come in to have a wheel alignment on our sprinter van. We were told one price and when we got there, they changed the price because the shocks were replaced and we're not the original Mercedes Mercedes-Benz Shokz.. They were a direct replacement of a better brand.. so because of that they charged us more money and then they did not guarantee the work. It doesn't make sense because the Shokz we put on we're just a direct replacement of some shocks that worn out. To make matters even worse, they charged us more money and what it's not able to get a full proper alignment trying to say the sprinter van has no camper adjustment.. this is 100% incorrect.. read more

Big O Tires 412 East 18th street California, Ca 94509 Do not go over here. These people (ROBERT) has the worst customer service ever. He will use the additional warranty that you purchased for your tires on the manufactures defect and charge you $57.00. The correct price is $50.00. You see how Robert is ripping customers off!! Robert does NOT fully explain the tire protection plan. There is a $50.00 charge if your tire is not fixable for wheel balancing etc. but Robert will charge you $57.00. Robert also does NOT honor manufactures defects!! After a heated argument Robert finally decided to honor the manufactures defect. WHY DIDN'T HE HONOR THE MANUFACTURES DEFECT IN THE FIRST PLACE? Robert loves to argue with customers and rip them off. EDIT: when the four tires were replaced the sensor light immediately came on (I did not move my car an inch) -- SO HOW COULD I HAVE RUN OVER AN OBJECT CAUSING THE TIRE TO GO FLAT?...this is an absolutely false accusation by Robert, this points towards a manufacturer's defect. Ron should have immediately taken the vehicle back to the technician who replaced the tire and asked him to check the tires for any leaks -- instead Dave quickly diagnosed the problem himself that the right front sensor needed replacement which was a false diagnosis -- Cost to fix = $65.00, he specifically told me I could drive around and should not have any problems. After driving approximately three hours with the sensor light still on, I heard a loud noise from my left rear tire, l stopped my vehicle for flat tire and had it replaced with the spare. Thank God I did NOT get involved in an accident, my car swaying from side to side! Once again the problem began in the parking lot of Big O Tires, when replacing all four tires ONE OF THE TIRES HAD A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT and that's the reason the sensor went off, but I was told otherwise I had a faulty right front sensor by Dave. When the defective tire was replaced by a good tire the sensor light did not come back on again, I was sold a Manufacturers Defect tire and there was NOTHING WRONG with the right front sensor. It was the rear left rear tire that had the manufacturers defect and that's what triggered the sensor. Question Arises: why did the tire sensor light immediately come on after the four tires were replaced, but l did not move an inch, so how could l have run over something? Could it be possible there was a sharp object lying inside the shop / parking lot area which caused the tire to explode? Could it also be possible that this tire was a manufacturers defect or simply a mix up of bad tires with good tires? Of course it was misdiagnosed by Ron for a faulty right sensor -- a gross negligence on Big O Tires and the manufacturer -- Big O Tires should have immediately checked all four tires for any leaks when the sensor went off in their parking lot. Robert failed to understand me! What part doesn't he understand about manufacturers defect? Robert loves to argue with customers telling them "NEVER to come back to the store". Why did Robert decide to charge me $57.00 and Ron charged me approximately $29.00 for the first blowout. It is very frustrating to explain to them about a manufacturer's defective. If Big O Tires can "PROVE" in writing that I had run over an object which caused the tire to EXPLODE, I will be more than happy to pay the $50.00 deductible. Abdul read more

Update..... after picking up the rig drove 120 miles to a camping site and it did great. None of the rims were even lukewarm.. the gas mileage showed a difference too..thank you again Lonnie and crew I called looking around trying to find anyone that would look at my vintage RV. I called in for a tire replacement. Got me in and out w a new tire (15 mins) that's awesome. Went back the next day to get a new tire and use the old one for a spare....the old one was done to the wire. They gave me a spare tire for free, because they felt the one I had was unsafe. It WAS NOT a new tire. But, hey I appreciate it. They did not have to do that at all. That's what I meant by kind. They could have just sent me on my way. But they didn't. I appreciate that. I had a horrible experience at Walmart this morning trying to get my tires changed. I called Big O and spoke with Dave and immediately felt welcomed. I came in was greeted more than once. Everyone here is VERY pleasant and polite. They move really quick, while waiting on my car people were in and out pretty fast. The free warranty protection plan is also amazing. The other day I went to Big O because I got a screw in my tire. I bought the tires there and I think I got the repair package. They ended up telling me my tire was too bald to repair. They also told me that a cop could pull me over because it was so bad , scare tactics none the less. They never mentioned when I bought the tires or how much mileage was on them. They were only focusing on selling me four new tires. Today my husband went to Oreilys and bought a repair kit for 15 dollars. The tire is now fixed and I'm back on the road again. Several months ago, I replaced all of the front suspension and steering components on my 2006 Duramax. Needing an alignment and living very close to Les Schwab on Lone Tree Way in Brentwood, I drove the truck there. The cam bolts and cams for the alignment are very different from stock. However, they are more reliable than stock. Les Shwab told me they would have to loosen the cam bolt nut 2 to 3 extra turns to be able to move the cam and there would be an extra charge for their time. I agreed to whatever the charge was going to be. 6 hrs later, I was told the truck was done. They did not adjust the cam/caster because the tech didn't want to loosen the bolts that much. I then took the truck to this Big-O, and they told me simply, "No problem." 45 minutes later, perfect alignment! Don't waste your time or money at any Les Shwab. Go to this Big-O. read more

I called Big O Tires to get my Mercedes aligned and they told me that the only thing they could do was to adjust the toe to prevent uneven wear and tear on my new tires, I was unsure so I checked with the Mercedes dealer and Big O was correct, there are adjustments that could be made, but the labor is astronomical and it would not make much of a difference. Long story short I went in for alignment quoted 1 hour and it took more than 2 hours plus because they could not properly align the front wheels as they said it's near impossible, and to top it all off they broke the clips on the covers they took off and never told me... After moving back to Antioch my car needed its oil changed. I searched google to find that this area has different establishments but that Big O Tires on E.18th had a 4 star rating and was open to same day appointments. I booked an appointment and proceeded to visit this establishment . It is July 25th 2020 and COVID is still rampant, California now being an epicenter for this pandemic. The sign on the door states you may not enter without a mask as required by State law, however, at least three out of the five men working at the desk wore their masks like necklace accessories. I stood 6 feet away as given by the green tape on the floor but was witness to the multiple times this wasn't enforced. A young African American male arrived and did not have a mask on and was ignored by the person who was so willing to help me. When he proceeded to go to the door to get his attention the worker stated he could not come in without a mask. This worker and I made eye contact while he went back to speaking with his coworkers and ignoring this gentleman, STILL not wearing a mask and without being socially distant. A few moments later a fair skinned, Caucasian, woman walks in without a mask. She is then helped out and she proceeds to wait inside the establishment without a mask on next to the "Safety First" sign. She is assisted quickly by the attentive workers and obtains the items needed and leaves. Her day is wished well. In the time it took for my car to be completed a total of 5-6 people had walked in and out of this space without a proper mask, MOST of which being the employees. I paid for my service, by the gentleman without a mask, gathered my keys and proceeded to sanitize my keys, steering wheel, gear shift and door. Having a "Safety First" sign without following it's precautions in a country with over 4,000,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and over 145,000 deaths within the United States alone is absurd to say the least. Additionally money is green any way you cut it. Your lack of attention to the African American male and overzealous attention to the Caucasian woman was absolutely noted. Bring my car in for tire rotation and balance and their guy Robert told me that my tires are slightly worn and need 2 new ones and that i shoulda came in 3-4 times already to have them rotated.. woulda been nice to know this info when i bought the tiress.. they told me nothing and now refuse to rotate my tires because the fronts are more worn than the rears... then Robert hung up on me while i was asking a question because clearly he's upset i didn't buy 2 new tires on a whim.... unprofessional people shouldn't be allowed to use grown up devices like telephones read more

Brought the vehicle back in for its normal rotation and alignment check, since I purchased it April 2016. Had major work done then and gave 5 stars review! BUT this time new mechanic states that my tie rods need replacing! My originals lasted 17 years! I replaced them 3 years ago and now they say they are bad!!! Also my steering wheel was straight when I brought it in, and now is offset just barely, BUT who is rechecking the mechanic work! Maybe time to look elsewhere! read more

Gotta say I'm amazed at how this location takes time and care to help their customers. I honestly swore off of Big O Tires years ago based on my experience with the San Ramon location, but a coworker told me to give it another try. I was shopping around for 4 new tires a few weeks ago. I called San Ramon and of course they want to charge $600 +. I called this location and got a great deal for new tires including a 60000 mile warranty. No appointment necessary but they did recommend coming early. I got here a few minutes after they opened on a Saturday morning, and despite there being a few customers in the lobby I was helped right away. They honored the over the phone quote, talked about car maintenance, and offered a few upgrades. I opted for the nitrogen fill instead of air because I heard about how beneficial it is...plus anytime my tire pressure is low I can get it filled at any location. I didn't realize they were going to do an inspection on my car while changing my tires. They looked at my breaks, my cabin filters, my hoses, even the light bulbs on my back license plate...all complimentary. What made things even better was how fast they were. Normally it takes 45 minutes to do a tire change, but since I came early their entire crew worked on my car and I was out in 20! They could have made me wait but didn't. That's personal care. My tire sensors had been going on and off the last few weeks , so I was just adding occasional air to the tires . Then , I had a completely flat tire from a nail so my husband brought my car here . They were super up front and said technically I could just get 1 tire , but once my husband saw how worn down the threads were , he opted to replace all 4 and also did alignment . My husband got the "new new" where the tires last 65,000 miles instead of the average 45,000. My car drives so much better . Very reasonable pricing considering what we had done . Rip off! Went in to have front and back brakes repaired. Cost about $1500 in total, brakes ended up going out in a matter of months, took the car back, and they said the car now needed calibers. Got a second opinion and turns out the brakes were bad NOT the calibers. I SAVED $1250 just by getting a second opinion. I was charged $700 something for front brakes, whereas the shop I just left charged $350. SHOP AROUND IF POSSIBLE. Not recommended. read more

My Honda Fit just died on me on the freeway,I had it towed to the big o tires on e.18th in Antioch, they said the Alternator was bad, so I ok'd the repair and they called 2 days later and said it was ready,the bill was$1,167.02 !!! he said the Alternator cost $823.00!!! this car has a 1.5 liter engine! I was astonished and asked him where they bought it,he argued with me a bit and said O'Rielly auto parts,I told him I will check that out and won't be coming here anymore, and neither will any one I know,and yes,I called O'reilly parts and the guy said ,$533.00 for that Alternator!!!,They way over charged on parts and lie thru their teeth about it,and willing to argue with you, Do not waste your time and money there!!! read more

This team has been the Blue Star, main tire and wheel shop starting way back in 2006. They are great at following up with us so we know what we are paying for BEFORE the work is STARTED so if they have recommendations we don't want, we have the option to hold off. We have a couple of trucks that have special size, and not so easy to get wheels and or tires so if an order is needed, this team always keeps our fleet inside if they keep truck for overnight. I like a lot of things about Antioch Big O. They fix a flat for you at 0 cost if you bought the tire from them... even if it happens more then one time, even if it was a long time ago, AND even if it is on a trailer! If you are in a pinch, they will almost always use their shuttle van to take our guys wherever we need to be as soon as they can and of course, if needed pick up is also available. Far from home in a "new used 2019" vehicle and suddenly "low air pressure" icon came on; then a message on the dash "low air pressure". Big O Antioch was 5 miles away. With anxiety we arrived wondering "how will they check our tires? Can we trust them ? " Immediately the technician , with high energy friendliness, approached us with a warm greeting . He checked all 4 tires, ALL 10 pounds low! (Purchased car previous day); he inflated tires, and assured us we did not have a problem, the tire pressure simply hadn't been checked in awhile. An hour later, while again near Antioch, the icon and message "low pressure" came on. We were freaked out! Had we purchased a car with problems? Back to Big O Antioch'. Same technician. Same warm high energy greeting. I briefly described "issue." With permission he got in the vehicle, rapidly went through automated "digital system setup" snd reset tires calibration. Alls well. This saved us a trip to the dealer, eased our mind; snd there was NO upsell, simply a pure wonderful customer service experience . Went in 8 months ago, and they told me I only had 1mm left on my brakes and to come in soon to get them changed. This was told to me while they were also making their Christmas list of other things they wanted to charge me for. So, due to Covid I did nothing during that time. Kept waiting to hear metal to metal. Went in the other day, the guy said I had 2mm left on my brakes, and listed out a longer Christmas list of things they wanted to charge me for. I got suspicious, to say the least. Had they not gotten greedy, I might not have caught on. Went to another tire shop and had them check the brakes. Said I had 4-5mm left on my brakes and would be good for at least 4 more months. My suspicions that I was being lied to at Big O were confirmed. This is not the first time I've had this happen at a Big O. And I ended my relationship with previous shop over it. And now I've ended my relationship with this shop over it. It evidently is a Big O operating procedure to lie to customers in order to stack the repair bill. Bye bye Big O. Never again. I know you pronounce your name Big Oh, but from now on the amount of money you get from me will be Big Zero. read more
