This restaurant is too good for the resort it's in! While I vow to never visit Laguna Shores again, I must admit that makes me a little sad because I'll never have Infusion's delicious food again. If you, dear reader, find yourself stuck here, take solace in knowing you're at least in for some amazing food. It's got an eclectic menu with some Mexican favorites, as well as some Asian-inspired dishes. If you're grabbing food poolside, go for the ceviche verde--it might literally be the best ceviche I've had. Generous avocado, and the bite of some fierce serrano peppers make this the perfect beachside snack. After 5pm, it transforms into a fine dining experience. But don't worry about getting dressed up--everyone comes in their flip flops anyway. I highly recommend starting off with the bao--both the pork belly and shrimp + Chinese sausage varieties are outstanding. There are options for vegetarians as well--my sweet potato enchiladas with mole were rich and filling. Service is attentive and swift, the atmosphere is ritzy and comforting. Best of all, you will be very impressed with the prices! Some of the best meals in Puerto Penasco, but they only run 20-30 American dollars. If they ever open up a location outside of the resort, I'll be there in a heartbeat. read more

7 of us (3 kids) ate there for dinner. Overall the food was excellent, though the Garlic Shrimp was slightly undersone and could've used more garlic. The Filet Gorgonzola was fantastic: tender and flavorful. The Cheeseboard was huge. Desserts were good but took a looong time to arrive. Nice and quiet, upscale but casual. read more

We went only for dessert. We both ordered Mexican coffee, 1 Cheesecake & 1 Chocolate Lava Cake (& were advised it would take 30 minutes). The dramatic flaming floor show for the coffee kept us entertained while waiting (they even dimmed the restaurant lights). It was delicious! The lava cake was served with a side of coffee ice cream, slices of kiwi & sprinkled with granola. The cheesecake was draped in a thick lime syrup & also had slices of kiwi & sprinkled with granola. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, it was alittle out of town on a dark road. But once you get there the restaurant is so nice. Be sure to go check upstairs if it's a nice night it has a great open view. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The food was extremely good and presentation was amazing. Add another 5-star to the books! With an amazing view of the sunset, my family and I settled in for dinner. We started with rolls made on site and Beets with Goat Cheese...should have ordered 2. I had the Infusion Catch of the Day which was Grouper...so flakey, very good. My wife had the filet, absolutely perfect! Kids had Pesto Pasta and Coconut Shrimp...great as well. We ended our meal with Dulce de Leche Volcano...we should have ordered 2. The kitchen accidentally served it with their house made vanilla ice cream and we all liked that even better than the goat cheese ice cream. So ask for that modification. Otra 5 Estrellas! An amazing restaurant! This is a great find outside of the busyness of downtown. I would much rather drive out to Laguna Shores than drive into town through the crazy traffic. The chef is amazing! He took extra time to come to our table and talked through some of the menu items. We had an incredible meal, steak, fish, and a vegan meal! The Sunset view is amazing. This is one restaurant that really deserves its 5 star rating! From it's oceanfront setting, professional waitstaff & award winning cuisine, it's top notch all the way. Catching the sunset from our table on the rooftop terrace with full bar is another amazing bonus!! We've dined here several time since this delightful alternative opened last year & have never been disappointed. Meals are prepared by a top chef pairing his creative genius with the freshest produce & seafood plus quality meats. One word sums up the culinary skills of the current chef de cuisine and his staff, as well as the bartenders, at Infusion: disappointing. Because we were staying at a rented house at Laguna Shores, we ate at Infusion (the ONLY restaurant at this community) 2 nights in a row, which was 2 nights too many. The first night, 2 of us ordered ribeyes; one medium-rare and the other medium. They both arrived well-done and, as a result, very tough. One of our party ordered the grouper, which was served over mashed potatoes; both were excellent. The next night, having learned to not order the ribeyes, we ordered the grouper again as well as the short rib tamal and a shrimp dish served over paella. The grouper was so hard that it was difficult to get a fork into it. Even the mashed potatoes were not as good as they had been the night before. Even the plating was different. The shrimp, also overcooked, had the consistency of really tough bubble gum. And the short rib tamal was not just slightly salty, it was so over salted it tasted like the chef had a personal investment in a salt mine. Unfortunately, the bartenders need some training as well. It's clear that the bartenders don't know how to make an Old Fashioned, a Manhattan, or a Negroni. The Old Fashioned cocktail was more like an adult red-colored fruit punch, which is nowhere near what an Old Fashioned should look like or taste like. The servers were friendly, professional, and helpful - as they should be - however, they are stuck serving overcooked and overly salted food. The food was not just bad, it was embarrassingly bad. Infusion del Golfo has potential, but right now it's a disaster. Hopefully Infusion will get some disaster relief. read more

But the prices are very high, they do not specialize in Mexican food. They like to take pride them selves on us their eclectic dishes that are accented with things like goat cheese, Gorgonzola, etc the only reason we go there is that we have a property in Laguna Shores where it's located so sometimes it's more convenient to eat there than to go out. read more

it dosent look as much from a far but when you get the hotel it's super nice and the pool view the hot tub everything about is nice the only problem i had with this place was the restaurant it took forever to get out drinks then we finally ordered and we ordered french toast and more and it took over 30 min or more to get our food this place is super slow but looks really nice ! read more

The first time that we went since we were staying on-site the server informed us that you can't leave a tip on a cc. Since we only use credit cards for protection while traveling out of the US we didn't have cash. I went to the front desk to see if there was an ATM onsite to which I was told no. I was then told I needed to drive into town to get money for the server and take it to him the next day. I told them I was here to relax and didn't have plans to go to town. We tried to go back to the restaurant the next day for dinner. The waiter took our order and 45 min later we didn't even have drinks or our cheese board. I'd suspect this is because the original waiter was working and said we didn't have cash to tip. Nothing like taking advantage of Americans. Worst experience. We will never come to this resort again due to this. Hope everyone else either doesn't mind doing their wishes or do not come read more
