3rd time we are here while on vacation. Good pizza and fast service delivered right to our suite.

The food is consistently outstanding. Our go‑tos are the pizza, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken marsala -- all exceptional. And here's a little insider tip: on Tuesdays, their pizzas are only $8. Another one... Sarento's has the best Friday night fish fry in the entire area. No exaggeration. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance of high‑end dining with surprisingly reasonable prices. Go just once and you'll understand why people get hooked. There are plenty of restaurants in the Dells with good food, but Sarento's is more than just a meal. The décor, the attention to detail, and the staff -- especially the bar staff -- elevate the whole experience. If you've ever had an Espresso Martini, prepare yourself. They make the best one around. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You'll be thanking us later.

For example we were only able to have two cocktails over more than an hour. It took almost 20 mins between ordering one and having it at our table. The food was very mediocre. My wife got the veal parm and it was literally burnt black. Everything was sweet - I got the chicken Marsala and it tasted like dessert. The kids pasta with tomato sauce also tasted like dessert. This place isn't cheap either. Avoid.

However, they sat us at the bar booths so no trains for us which was so disappointing. I didn't know any better since I never been there before. I thought the train went everywhere. They also have a big arcade. My husband and I started with the 'Grilled Shrimp Bruschetta' which was marinated shrimp topped with freshly made bruschetta on grilled sourdough bread. This was delicious! So fresh, great flavor. For my entree, I got the 'Half Rotisserie Chicken Meal' which was a big portion and tasted good. I had enough to last 2 meals. My husband got the 'Chicken Alfredo' which was Chicken, broccoli & classic Alfredo sauce. Topped with a parmesan cheese blend. He enjoyed this a lot. We did feel rushed but that is to be expected. Although, we had a seasoned server. It looked like our appetizers and entrees came out together and I saw him telling the runners that our appetizer JUST came out and keep our dishes in the kitchen until we were ready. We did not tell him to do that, he took the extra step. I would love to come back and try other meals and actually sit by the trains and explore more. It was really good, but again... rushed, since we were late.

We purposely ordered items to see the train in action. We were seated immediately. Service was really prompt and friendly. We ordered cheese curds, pasta, a pulled pork sandwich, a chicken wrap, and drinks. The total for all that came out to around $100. The chicken wrap dish was 75% chips and salsa. The chicken wrap was 50% lettuce. The chips did taste fresh but it was a lot of filler ingredients for a $17 dish... The fries that came with the pulled pork sandwich were very tasty! The bbq sauces that came with the sandwich and fries were good. We enjoyed the cheese curds. They came out fast and hot. It's a bit like fried mozzarella sticks with less crunchy breading. It's a resounding yes if you have kids. They're sure to find something for picky eaters on the menu and they'll love the trains.

Busy times hold up lousy places. All salads are a Romaine/Iceberg mix EXCEPT the Caesar salad - supposed to be all Romaine. This was the MIX. Iceberg lettuce is a dumpster fire and blows out my intestines. (You asked) Mr. Counterman says to drive it back and he can fix it - just credit my card I ask. Cannot do that Mr. Customer. Leave my hot pizza, drive a salad across town and I guarantee I won't be hungry when I get back and my pizza will be cold. Corporate never responded - This is my fault - stop getting takeout. Only eat at the restaurant where if something is wrong you can send it back. I live in Chicagoland - I thought Rosati's didn't suck. If you heard my concerns why not issue me a credit for the salad I couldn't eat. $11 + tax + tip?

We were offered to order a specific pizza if we wanted something special (at no extra charge). There is plenty of seating of booths and tables & chairs. You get your own drinks (which were included in the buffet price). They changed out the pizzas frequently and had plenty to choose from. The other hot food was very good. I got a piece of fried chicken breast. So moist, tender, and not greasy! It was the best fried chicken I have had in a long time. My husband got some chicken tenders and just as good. There was mashed potato & gravy and pasta with sauce. They had a fresh salad bar that was kept well stocked with a variety of dressings to choose from. Everyone that worked there was so pleasant and our table was always cleared from the used plates. The restaurant was kept clean (including the restrooms). They were constantly wiping the buffet area off. I love good fried chicken and wished this was closer to home!

You pay first at the cash register and then you find your own seating. It was quite packed since it was July 4th weekend. We managed to find a table for two, but getting in and out of our seats was a bit of a struggle since all the chairs/tables were so close together. The restaurant is an all you can eat buffet with a pizza station, salad bar, hot foods station, dessert station, and a drink station. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy! The mashed potatoes and gravy were good and the potato wedges were huge and crispy. The stuffing tasted like instant stuffing and quite salty, so I don't recommend. Next are the pizza. The taco pizza was my favorite and then the pepperoni pizza. I took a bite out of the mac and cheese pizza, which wasn't too bad either. They also had breadsticks with marinara sauce. The salad bar looked fresh, and the dessert pizza looked amazing. They even let you order any kind of pizza for free, and they can bring you the entire pizza or just a set number of slices. How nice is that!! The service here is actually a lot better than I could imagine!! They constantly have someone wiping off the drippings and food from each station. They have someone sweeping the floor, wiping down tables, and removing dirty plates. They also have someone constantly refilling all the food. Most buffet places just ignore this stuff, but Pizza Ranch really does do a good job keeping the place as clean as they possibly can with kids everywhere. This place is ultimately a buffet, so I think expectations shouldn't be overly high, but overall, I would come back again. There was enough variation to make anyone happy.
