Claudia Salcedo is professional and knows what she's doing. She answered my questions, removed a suspicious mole, and zapped a couple other marks all in one visit. But first I want to say that the PA I saw on my first visit I think her name was Grace and her scribe were both wonderful, kind, empathetic and listened to me about my ongoing skin problem. Grace wrote a prescription and my condition has cleared up! YAY! BUT I scheduled an appointment to have lip filler with PA JON POLING as I was told he had many years of experience.. I was advised to come in at 7:30 AM for an 8 AM appointment which I did. At 7:35 numbing cream was applied to my lips and I sat there until approximately 8:25. Eventually Jon showed up...I mentioned how long I had been waiting and he said he was stuck in traffic. I wish someone had informed me there would be a delay but OK things happen. I attempted to explain what my issue was but he never acknowledged my concerns. He said he didn't like numbing cream because it creates a slight swelling. He then proceeded to hand me one ice cube and said, "Pretend you are making love to it!" YES that is what he said to me!!!! I should have gotten up and left but I had waited so long and I was so shocked at this comment I just sat there. He then proceeded to apply the injectable and it was the MOST PAINFUL experience I have had for a non medical procedure! I have had lip fillers twice before in Chicago and it wasn't anywhere as horrifying as this experience!! ´I was crying and clenching my fists and was gagging I was in so much pain. I NEVER experienced this type of pain, this was excruciating! Jon showed no empathy nor did he stop and let me rest. I should have listened to my gut feeling and walked out at the " make love " to the Ice cube comment! ( I have given birth to a ten pound baby and have had a tattoo on my finger...so I am not a wimp but a pretty tough cookie!) There is much more to this disturbing story but I will stop here! What I will say is that I am appalled that this man is allowed to be let anywhere near a patient or a needle! read more

I have had Botox here three times. The first time was with Dr Trenkle and she did a good job. The second time was with a PA and the work was very unbalanced but I went back and she corrected it. This last time it was again completely unbalanced and worse, she gave me a total eyebrow ptosis on one side significant enough that I can't open my eye all the way. It's not the end of the world but it's uncomfortable and makes me feel self conscious. I would not have posted a review, it's a known complication, but I have NEVER had anyone cause this before. I scheduled a consultation to have doctor look at neck and chest to provide me with cost for the treatments. I checked in and was with a person (not doctor) for about 10 min she diagnosed me which I already knew what I had because Kaiser dermatologist already diagnosed me, I just wanted a cost for the treatment. She told me cost for treatment which was way more than I thought it would be and i couldnt afford, so I left. A month later I got a bill for $100, I called and their billing dept and asked why i was being billed, she said for consultation there was a fee of $100, I explained I was not told that when booking or when I showed up for appt because if they would have told me I would not have made the appt since all I needed was the cost for the treatment. I am very upset and felt that should have been disclosed up front when I scheduled the appt. So know I have to pay $100 to them for nothing!! read more

Jon Poling PA is a horrible PA. Worst experience I've EVER had with a non doctor. If I were Dr. Trenkle i would not want someone that exerts his kind of mannerism and demeanor working for my company PERIOD. This man has ZERO bedside manner and was completely disrespectful and belittling. He had the audacity to tell me multiple times "don't get your hopes up" when I was trying to get clearance for my eczema for the military. He felt the need to reiterate several times that he was a retired veteran and that he "knows" that they will not accept me. After telling him that I am already in the process of enlisting and that my recruiter and a doctor from MEPS had both said that I could get this waived, he still felt the need to keep shutting me down and try to make his opinions my destiny. He made me feel small, telling me "they won't accept you" several times even after I completely stopped talking out of humiliation. He then decided to ask me why I wanted to join and after giving my honest answer he then told me that i should probably give up my hopes of even joining because there's no way they would ever let people like me in. After being completely dissatisfied and frankly even angry with my visit, I made another appointment at a more professional practice the same day with an ACTUAL licensed dermatologist and MD the same day and she completely cleared me for the military. read more

Do NOT recommend. The treatment appointment itself was rushed, they got me in/out as quickly as possible. They did NOT wait enough time for the numbing cream to take effect before the procedure began so it was more painful than it should have been. When she started treatment it took about 10 minutes tops & she acted annoyed when I asked her questions. I paid my copay and left. I then received a bill afterwards which I felt was too high so I called to clarify concerning my bill. The woman I spoke with was rude and condescending. She spoke down to me as if it wasn't possible for me to comprehend their cash price vs how they charge as much as possible when you provide your insurance to them ("Karen" -I get it). Took care of my balance to be done with them and will NOT go back. Overall, my experiences here have been pretty good. Dr. Trenkle put me on accutane for my acne, and my skin has been much healthier ever since! However, I have had some issues with the office concerning lab work. Every month I have to get a urine test to renew my accutane prescription. Last month I called to verify if they had received my lab results, and they said they hadn't. When I called again, I was told they had actually received my results a whole week ago, but by that time I was forced to get the lab work done again. This resulted in me being off the accutane medication for 2 weeks, and my acne worsened significantly in that time period. TL;DR, Dr. Trenkle gets the job done, but there will be annoying hiccups read more

My first visit to the PA Claudia went ok but she seemed to be in a big hurry. I was there for a skin cancer screening and Botox. For the record, I have never met Dr. Trenkle. Claudia told me that if I had any problems with my Botox looking funny I could return and she would fix it. The next day I noticed that my eyebrows were very uneven. I had never had this problem with Botox the many times I have received it from other doctors. I decided to wait a few weeks to see if it would resolve. It didn't. So a few weeks later I returned to the office for a fix. Claudia walked into the room, looked at my eyebrows and said, "You came in about a month ago, correct?" I said yes, around a month ago. She seemed very irritated. She said, "We only do corrections for two weeks after the injections." I said "okay." ( I was NEVER informed of the two week period). Then she said, The office doesn't pay for this, I have to pay for it." I was thinking to myself.. "Ok lady, you're the one who caused it and you're giving me an attitude?" But I didn't say anything. She then said "I will do it this time, but next time it must be within two weeks. She quickly gave me two tiny injections, and then turned around and started talking to her assistant. I then left the office and will never return. BTW, I still have crooked eyebrows. Time to look for a new doctor. read more

She is really the best. I've been going to Dr. Trenkle for at least 6 years and she does an amazing job at fillers and Botox. She is really an artist and tries to make you look natural while still fixing the problem. It's true they like to get people to buy product but that's because they believe in them. I went to the Sun City location a couple of months ago. It was old, run down and so dirty looking I almost walked out. Once inside an exam room, three people came in, a nurse, the doctor/PA and a student. Instead of asking me BEFORE she brought the student in, which I would have said no, the Dr./PA asked while he was already in the room. I was put on the spot and didn't feel comfortable saying no (my mistake). Very unprofessional. I was given a prescription for a new topical cream, took it to a local pharmacy who, after waiting for a period of time, told me my insurance would not cover the prescription. I later received a letter from my insurance carrier which indicated a copy had been sent to the doctor. It stated that they would not cover the $300+ cost of the cream. I am still waiting to be contacted by the doctor's office to discuss an alternate topical. I won't be returning. read more

Horrible Horrible Anyways since she's so busy you won't be ever seeing her but her assistants or whatever they are. Students? The visit I had with her was pleasant but it was only 5 minutes long. I made an appointment to come see you and your charging my insurance such but I see you on initial visit for 3 minutes than the rest is students. Saw her at the Sun City office. And they forcibly recommended and scared me that a small benign bump was serious and cancerous and I had to get it removed. Okay okay okay Painful procedure done by a male I've never seen before. Wasn't Ingrid. And talk about horrible job. I have a huge scar and it didn't heal properly because of the way the stitches were done. So now everyone asks if I had surgery or had my intestines removed or gallbladder. Even gallbladder is small incision. This is like 2-3 inches across. And all for some small bump that wasn't even cancerous. I was only 21 at the time. And I took full care of it. It's not like it wasn't cleaned or it was infected. My son had a strange looking mole on his back and I was looking for dermatologist to check it. This is how I found dr.Trenkle's office. They offered us next week appointment I was glad to have it so soon, ant that was mostly only good thing about whole experience. Nobody bother to let me know the results till next appointment. Ok, there was nothing bad, yet I would like to know that ASAP. The next appointment was to remove the stitches. An easy procedure that literally takes less than a minute. I should have done it myself and safe me time and nerves. There was ONE HOUR wait. We were the only people in the waiting area. I believe it has only be one hour because after that I lost my patience and demanded attention. I am sure if not for that it would have taken longer. No respect for time of the others. Then I was told 4 different stories what is going on. No any kind of respect. I was told that we are waiting on the clean room. (Were they trying to remodel?) I was told that doctor is in the middle of procedure. (Sorry, did they schedule my appointment at the time of that procedure?) Oh no, I was booked with the nurse but I had to see the doctor.(If I have to see the doctor why have you booked me with the nurse?) There was an emergency. (Sorry? It is a dermatology office. What kind of emergency are we talking about?) And finally I was told that it is all reception desk fault, they never put my chart out. (I know they did.) I was not demanding any explanation, I was only asking to get things done or rescheduled. I know what the problem is. It is common for many medical offices, doctor's time is valuable, anybody else's has no value at all. So there was no need to tell my any of "the dog ate you chart" stories, but they did. That was what really got me, so not only my time is being wasted, but they take me for a fool and tell me some nonsense, and they don't even bother to make up a connecting story.
