I have been going to Dr. Trenkle for years. She is an absolute master at skin care. Just recently, she put me on a new facial regiment and referred to Claudia for laser treatment. I used to have really bad acne, I mean serious pizza face. If you met me now, you couldn't tell at all, but this is all because of Ingrid Trenkle. One of the best physicians that I have ever had the honor to meet. She takes her time, she's extremely thorough, covering all bases and possibilities without blind assumption, what more could you ask for in a medical doctor? Although, she is very busy with a huge caseload, and it might take a little while to get to see her, it's worth the wait, a busy doctor (who runs a private practice) is a good sign that she's a great doctor. I get my chemical peels done with Christine. She is fantastic. I've am mostly satisfied with the results. When I first began having chemical peels, I suffered from mild cystic acne. My skin also seemed dull. After two treatments, my skin cleared up and was refreshed as well as even toned. I actually stopped wearing foundation because it wasn't necessary due to my complexion being so smooth and youthful. I did become pregnant about two years after getting peels. The first peel I did after my pregnancy did not make much difference in my skin. I should add that I developed acne durning my pregnancy. I decided to give it a year or so until to continue the peels in order for my hormones to level out. I'm actually going in for a peel on Monday and will be updating my results after my 2nd peel. read more

Upon entering doctors office it was crowded and not inviting Turn out the whole office is outdated and gloomy. This didn't matter to me as long as I got the care that I deserved. Not even seeing me and the PA had already diagnosed my rash. I was thinking to myself how can someone diagnose you without seeing the rash for themselves. Overall he was very unprofessional even giving his political opinion when it was unwarranted. I am a college student and did not feel comfortable and will be seeking a second opinion. read more

A lot of the reviews here complain about the time spent waiting. I frequently wait a long time to see a good doctor, although I understand its frustrating. My complaint about Dr. Trenkle is more serious, in my opinion. I was prescribed Accutane by Dr. Trenkle, and asked a lot of questions about it before beginning. I do not feel I received adequate warning about the potential risks. More than a year later, I am on heavy-duty prescription eye drops from dry eyes which became very severe during my few (3) months on accutane. She wanted me on it for 8 months total. Also, I asked about the correlation between Crones and Accutane, and was told that she had not heard of this. I took this to mean that stomach aggravation was not likely, but what it really meant was that she had not done her homework (in my opinion). My food allergies became much worse during this short time and I am still recovering. Also, the Accutane did nothing for my skin. This stuff was developed as a chemotherapy drug (which I was not told by Dr. Trenkle)!! See an acupuncturist or an ND if your skin is bad. 2 months of acupuncture cleared my skin completely, after 2 years of horrible cystic acne. Also, the staff here is extremely rude. All else aside, the treatment I received from them would be enough for me to come back one year after my last appointment and write a negative review here. read more

Even when I booked the very first appointment of the day, I still waited an hour to get seen. There was never one single exception. After having waited for my appointment for about three weeks and having been bombarded by text messages that confirmed my appointment , I show up as scheduled to be told that the technician had a family emergency and that I was called to cancel! That is fine and understandable but when I tried explaining that I had not received a call nor a voice message as the female claimed the answer I received was "I might have called the wrong number but I called." How unprofessional is that, your calling a wrong number doesn't help me. I'm glad I didn't spend my time or money here! There are plenty of other options! read more

Office staff and the technicians are very unprofessional. They need to inform you of how the procedures are preformed and that you need to be at the office an hour before your actual appointment. This has been my third visit to Dr. Trenkle for my acne treatment. The staff is very nice and Dr. Trenkle takes the time to hear me out. They have a variety of different treatment options for acne and other skin issues. I have been going in for the cool touch laser treatment for acne, and it has been working very well for me but is pretty uncomfortable even with the numbing cream. So far this is a review in process. My wife went in for a routine photodynamic (PDT) treatment to address some sun spots and maybe help with some light acne. This treatment was on a Friday and by Monday we were back in the office (per our request). The healing came with severe blistering and irritation - far what exceeded what we were expecting. On the phone the nurse said "I'm sure your fine but if you insist, you can come in." Well it turns out her face was infected from the treatment and she needed to start medication immediately. The medication worked great - but the redness was still quite severe. We went in 3 days later on a Friday, where most all of the staff had been briefed on her and couldn't figure out why it was going so poorly. They stated that they think she essentially has suffered 1st degree burns from the treatment and we may now have to undergo PDT on the half of her face that wasn't treated, just to balance out the potential permanent discoloration. Oh and we started on a monthly pill to address the acne because apparently the treatment did nothing to address that. So as this is in process - I am quite disappointed that we will now be having to PDT the rest of her natural face to color match. Naturally they said "we've never seen this happen before" and tried to suggest that maybe my wife went in the sun or didn't abide by their instruction. Truth be told a poor job was done and if this is the first time it's happened - it's at least now publicly documented. I would suggest you consider your health remedies before you risk half of your face being permanently discolored. We will see how they fix this issue moving forward. read more

Dr. Trenkle has my dermatologist for a couple of years. The wait has never been more than 10-15 minutes max. (I have had to wait at every doctor I have ever seen so this does not seem out of line.) I have been very happy with Dr. Trenkle's care and never felt I was being overcharged or pushed into treatments. I have seen her physician assistants, but I have always know when my follow-up appointments would be with them. The office staff are friendly, but not chatty. This is probably because they are busy! I was diagnosed with Keratosis Pilaris by Dr Trenkle and was very disappointed by the service I received. Before even telling me what I had she was already selling me products and services that could minimize the appearance of my condition on my arms and legs, which is great knowing I had options but not great when I had no idea what I had. After feeling overwhelmed I stopped her and asked her what I had. She told me Keratosis Pilaris and that it is treatable. She was very kind but not the type of care I am looking for in a doctor. She didn't even exam my skin. I had to ask if I could show her my arms. Then she said she wanted to see me in a month. I initially scheduled a follow up but then canceled it because I felt like all she wanted was money. What is she going to follow up if she never examined me. She saw about 5 inches of my legs and told me what I had. How will she know the progress if she never saw it. I purchased the exfoliator and lotion that she suggested but definitely will not be going back to her. Then about one week ago I received a bill stating I owe 25 dollars, which I paid after my visit with the doctor. I called and Stachia informed me that it was never processed in the system so she would go ahead and correct it. I asked for a confirmation and she said that since she is barely processing it would take time. So I called today and the lady who assisted me sounded upset and annoyed because I asked for a confirmation. She said it quickly and when I asked her to repeat it she told me she has to go back to that screen again. It was literally 1 second after she gave it to me. All I asked was for a confirmation number so I can keep for my records. It was a mistake they made and i got treated with disrespect. There are so many dermatologists thankfully so keep looking. Doctor Trenkle and her team are not worth it. read more

Unbelievable. I don't even know how they stay in business. My husband and I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks ago. We even received two reminders via emai and even confirmed the appointments. Took off work and drove 30 minutes for our appointments and no one was even there. Our appointments were scheduled for 3:15. I called and was told they only see patients from 8:30 to 12:00 on Tuesdays. REALLY? This is Wednesday. The receptionist said the person that scheduled it made a mistake. My husband saw Dr. Trenkle years ago and she recommended a procedure with a special machine that they only had in their Redlands office. He drove an hour and was informed once he got there that the machine was broken. Wow. Apparently, our time is not valuable. Will never go there again. Two strikes and you're out! read more

I went there to have a cyst removed from my face. After several visits and a couple different treatments, they finally tried to surgically remove it. I say tried because they failed. I finally told them I was going to see a Doctor of Dermatology, not a P.A. I never did see Dr. Trenkle. They were insulted, and rude to me when I told them this. Even though I had spent hundreds of dollars for NOTHING! I went to Dr. Doty at Beaver Medical. He was very informative, caring, reassuring, and Professional. He did one surgery and my cyst is completely gone! Go to Dr. Trenkles office? You do the math. I gave them one star because the brunette billing person was nice, and very professional. read more
