Inka Chicken is a great place for flavorful Peruvian food. The star of the show is, without a doubt, the rotisserie chicken...juicy and moist on the inside, perfectly roasted on the outside, and seasoned with just the right balance of savory spices. Each bite tastes fresh and well prepared, very moist rotisserie chicken. I ordered the rotisserie chicken and sweet plantains...the perfect combination. Both exceeded my expectations. The meat was delicious and the plantains were sweet and tasty. The side really helps round out the meal. The orange sauce was a standout, which adds a creamy, slightly spicy kick that elevates everything it touches. I could taste a hint of mustard, not sure of the other ingredients...all I know it was quite tasty, Service was quick and friendly, making it an easy choice for a casual lunch. Portions are generous for the price, and the food feels filling without being heavy. The restaurant sparsley packed, however, they do also have drive through...a convenient benefit. Very chill environment.

A good tasteful meal. Chicken was cooked right and had the appropriate seasonings from a Peruvian intensity. Service was really good and the environment was friendly. Was looking for a pop or some enthusiastic flavors, but that kind of fell short. Still a good place to eat and tasteful chicken.

I ordered lunch from here the other day and got the naked burrito bowl. The picture doesn't make it look like anything special but there is a layer of chicken and rice and beans hidden underneath that lettuce! Super seasoned and flavorful and pretty good portion. Would definitely order again!

The food here is delicious! The chicken is definitely worth it. I came here early since it gets pretty packed during rush hours. I had the inka bowl with quinoa and shrimp and a cup of their chicken soup, alongside a guayaba juice. Super yummy! The place is decorated super cute and the service is great when they bring the food to the table. I haven't ordered for drive thru pick up so I wouldn't be able to comment on that. The orders sometimes take longer than expected, even if you order ahead of time. This is why it's hard to give a full 5 start. However, I would certainly recommend this place for their consistency in fresh ingredients and tasty food.

Absolutely amazing peruvian food! Husband, who is peruvian, and I - who loves everything peruvian - were delighted by the quality and deliciousness of the dishes that we got. Green pasta had the dreamiest sauce. Lomo Saltado: The sauce was almost 10/10 rich, balanced, and full of flavor. The only downside was the beef being a bit on the chewy side, but flavor-wise, it delivered. I also wish fries were mixed in the wok. 4/5 Tallarines Verdes: Incredible. The sauce was silky, herby, and perfectly seasoned, the beef juicy and tender. Easily one of the best I've ever had. 5/5 Tres Leches: Moist, creamy, not overly sweet. Amazing. 5/5

This is a casual chill place to eat - order at the counter. The staff was super friendly. It does take a little while for your food to come out but it's really fresh. The chicken was very tender and juicy, bursting with flavor. We didn't know about all of the different sauces so will have to try those when we come back. We also ordered the Chaufa Aeropuerto - noodles and fried rice with meat and seafood with a fried egg on top. Delicious.

I have eaten from here three times now and trust me, it's well worth a visit (or an order, since one of those three times was delivery). I routinely find myself wanting more Inka Chicken :) The staff is pleasant and helpful. The restaurant itself is very casual feeling, but it also feels like you're visiting the kitchen table of dear friends or family as it's warm and inviting. You can tell the food is made with pride and love. I've not had anything bad here - the flavors, colors, quality of the food I've had has been top notch. I highly recommend the empanadas, the Inka wrap and the cheese ball appetizer (I don't remember what it was called). There is parking available - just don't judge the look of it from the outside as I promise you inside, you'll find scratch made food that gives your tastebuds a trip to Peru.

My first ever experience with this food (Thank you, Lunch Drop!) and boy, oh boy, was it great! I loved the touch of the tableware wrapped in a paper napkin rather than one of those stupid plastic all-in-one things. If they take time and care with the details, don't you think they will pay attention to the food? If my one impulsive order is any indication, then YES!!

Terrific spot for unique and delicious Peruvian dishes. The chicken is excellent, but don't overlook the other specialties. The ceviche was particularly nice, as was the Tallarines Verdes. We have been several times and everything has been very good. The starters and sides are nice, too and offer enough vegetarian options to satisfy the non-carniverores in your group. Don't let the fast food look of the exterior fool you, this is some excellent food! Counter service, delivered to your table. Everything seems to be cooked to order so it's not quick, but not unreasonable. Plenty of comfortable tables and a TV usually showing soccer (futbol) games. The crew is friendly and hard working. They offer 6-8 bottled beers, soft drinks, etc.

There are so many choices on the menu, you can easily be overwhelmed. But I'm pretty sure you'll be happy with whatever you do end up getting. My friend and I shared a half chicken with yuca frita and sweet plantains and it was the perfect amount to feed two. The chicken was so juicy and tender. And I love that it comes with tortillas so you can make your own little wrap. We got medium spice level sauce (it was kind of like spicy mayo but im not sure what it actually was) but it honestly wasn't that spicy at all. And the sides were both delicious, it surprisingly wasn't too heavy.

I went here during Thanksgiving break and was pleasantly surprised. In fact, it was so good that I decided to come back today. The pictures looked good, and the food itself did not disappoint. My first time, I got a quarter chicken with plantains, yuca frites, the bread roll, and the mild sauce. Everything was pretty good- I found myself getting full pretty quickly. In addition, I checked in and got the free ice cream- this was not that great, just tasted like ice with a hint of vanilla. Today, I got the quarter chicken again with plantains, but mac and cheese as the other side, and the medium and spicy sauces. I think I prefer the medium sauce. The mac and cheese is actually creamy and yummy! Food is cheap, tastes great, great portions, and fast service. Definitely recommend coming here! read more

I *love* Inka chicken. Really really love it. Everything they make is delicious, from the chicken to all of the sides. The portion sizes are also excellent. My favorite sides are the yucca fries and the plantains. They serve a mayo-based sauce that goes great with the yucca fries. I highly recommend it. I really hope Inka opens up more stores around town so that I can visit more often. read more

Inka Chicken is a really great neighborhood restaurant with a wide variety of options and amazingly seasoned food. The name is somewhat misleading. You think, they must just sell chicken and chicken based dishes. They do have amazing chicken BUT they also have really great whole food vegetarian options and you leave feeling satisfied and not unhealthy. I recommend getting the Yucca fries over the normal fries (regular does not travel well) and definitely get a side of the veggies! They are seasoned to perfection. read more

Wow. For some reason I had put off trying Inka Chicken for a few years. I wish I could go back and tell younger Cynthia to go NOW. I'm glad older Cynthia is much wiser. Today I ordered a 1/2 chicken combo with two sides, a drink and tortillas to share with my husband. For sides, I chose yucca fries and plantains. This chicken is incredible -- it has a salty, smoky spice rub and the meat is tender and delicious. I'm trying to stick to a low-carb diet, and this meal fits the bill. I had just tastes of the sides, and they were delicious. Fried plantains, sweet and syrupy just like a Cuban restaurant. The yucca fries are crisp and soft on the inside, delicious dipped in either the mild or spicy sauces. They have a drive-through, but it's not like any other fast food establishment I've visited. I'm so glad I visited today and can't wait to return! read more

This chicken was phenomenal! When you walk in the door you think it can't possibly taste as good as it smells, but you're wrong. The flavor more than lives up to that amazing smell. The flavors are all through the chicken. The skin has a wonderful seasoning to it and the meat definitely picks up the marinade very well. I enjoyed it so much I went back the next day after work to pick up a chicken to take home. This is some really great chicken. I can't speak for the sides since I'm on a low carb thing, but they do look really good. The people were extremely friendly and the place has a great relaxed vibe to it. This place is now on the schedule for my weekday lunches. read more

AMAZING Rotisserie chicken! The chicken is super flavorful and moist. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I ordered their quarter chicken with two sides and it was plenty to fill me up. For sides I ordered Yuka fries and Fried Plantains. I highly recommend them both. Although I think it's a bit expensive, the taste of the food makes up for it. read more

I am teetering between giving this place a 3.5 or a 4. I ordered a to-go portion of the half chicken Inka 2 combo which comes with two sides, a drink and either a roll or tortillas. The chicken itself was delicious. I get wary of chicken on the bone because usually it is not cooked through all the way. But Inka's chicken leg was well done while not being dry. Loved the yuca fries and fried plantains. They give you a choice between a mild and a "hot" sauce, but both sauces were extremely mild. My favorite was the lighter colored sauce. If you want extra sauces I believe they charge you an extra $.30 per sauce. Yelp check in free ice cream cone was decent. In all, I liked their chicken and would probably come back. read more

This place is pretty good but they don't have online ordering and last time I tried to go through the drive-thru it was also shut down meaning you have to go inside. Sometimes you wanna order for delivery or pick up and you don't necessarily want to go in or have time to. At least ten times I wanted to order this chicken but picked something else for convenience. Message to the business- there are probably others like me. Your business would most likely increase if you fixed the drive thru and opened online ordering for delivery. read more

Fresh and delicious! Will definitely be back to try more from the menu... Limeade was amazing! Yuca fries were so good, especially with their house sauces. Chicken was roasted to perfection! Flan was a little different but still great. My husband loved his salad. Only complaint was I asked for tortillas but received a roll but it was still so good. read more

So good! I'll admit it was my first time trying Peruvian food and I'm sold. The chicken was flavorful and a good texture, not chewy or dry at all. All of the sauces were impressive and paired beautifully. Plantains were such a good addition to the meal as well so I highly recommend getting theirs. Went here about an hour before closing and got a half chicken with seasonal veggies (green beans). The chicken was super delicious and juicy, the beans a tad too oily for me but also very good. My girlfriend got the lomo saltado which she also enjoyed. Staff was super friendly for us newbies and we will likely be back when we're in Austin next time. Great place! read more

Running around looking for a quick bite for dinner, the BF suggested Inka Chicken. The dining area was nice and clean and we walked up to the counter where you ordered and your plate is made to order. We got the half chicken combo plate to share and the BF had been here before and definitely wanted the plaintains, which i wasn't sure about and the nice lady behind the counter and the BF suggested the yucca fries, i still wasn't sure so she asked if i would like a sample. How nice! i liked it and so we went with it. Topo Chico to drink and we were ready to dive in! I found the chicken super moist and yummy. The sauce was really tasty but the chicken really didn't need it. They also gave us corn tortillas which tasted pretty fresh too. Overall I think Inka Chicken is a great value for the price and also pretty healthy if you care about that kind of thing! I would definitely recommend and try again when I'm in the area. read more

Holy Chicken!!!??? 1st Time Wow. Ok so went through drive thru- asked what some of the sides were and the employee asked if it was our 1st time, we said yes. He invited us to the window to GIVE SAMPLES OF THE SIDES. Oh my goodness never have I ever gotten anything like that! He was super personable friendly and super informative. We ended up getting the family chicken with 2 sides 4 sauces and corn tortillas. DELICIOUS BEYOND DELICIOUS!!!!! Recommend the Chicken with corn tortillas and with the MILD SAUCE. It's HEAVEN. We have been wanting to try this spot for a while and decided to go through the drive thru! My husband and I got the Tallarin Saltado ($14.50) and the Chaufa aereopuerta ($15.50). Both were delicious, but the portion sizes were small in general, but especially for that price. Neither of us were totally full after. also, on the Tallarin, the long noodles had been cut extremely small and were difficult to eat because they couldn't be picked up by utensils. Flavor was great but value is definitely lacking. read more

I have been eyeing this place for a while and decided to grab dinner for the family today. We had all white meat chicken, mac and cheese, and corn. We were not disappointed, not one bit! The chicken was seasoned very well. I don't eat fried chicken and it has been extremely difficult to find well seasoned chicken that it not fried. Today, I found a winner. Oh, and the sauce, it like frosting on the cake. This may just be my new favorite spot. AND, I ordered from the drive-thru menu. Restaurant quality food in a drive-thru is hard to come by. Got the half chicken with two sides, and an additional side. The chicken itself is good - probably one of the better half chickens I've gotten in Austin. The chicken I got was moist and flavorful; many chicken places fail at this and regularly serve really dry chicken. One star off for forgetting to give me bread even after asking if I wanted bread or tortillas. Another star off for the sides - while the chicken is really good, I did not really like the sides. The cilantro rice was bland and looked like plain rice. The fried plantains were okay but after a few pieces I got tired of the flavor. The fire roasted corn with quinoa was also bland. read more

Tonight was the first night I have ever tried inka. I always drive by and it smells fantastic! I also wanted something healthier than the traditional drive thru. Mark/Matt (forgot his name ) helped me decide what I wanted by giving me a sample of each side available and a little info about everything. He was so helpful and he really went above and beyond to assist me with my culinary experience. To the food! It was AMAZING. The chicken tasted so great and the beans/rice and corn were to die for! We showed up at 8:30, they said they closed at 9 so we had to get food to go. We then decided we were going somewhere else, but then they said "oh no, you can eat here then." We stayed and ordered a half chicken and a Tallarin Salteado, the food was horrible. They obviously just tossed things together and gave us a horrible meal... never coming back. read more

We have found our "Go To" chicken place. They have a drive thru so its very convenient! Due to dietary restrictions, I am unable to eat fried - breaded chicken. Now we have found a place that offers delicious chicken that is pretty much healthy. This chicken is cooked rotisserie style on wood and charcoal flames. We ordered the Inka Chicken Family Dinner 1. This comes with one whole chicken and two large sides, along with two types of salsa and a choice of either corn tortillas or rolls. The chicken is cut up in four pieces - breast/wing and thigh/leg. This chicken is absolutely amazing! It has the best seasonings, is moist, and just dang right amazingly delicious!!!! For the sides we ordered: -Macaroni and Cheese: This was better than we expected. It did not have the box taste we assumed it would have. It was creamy and cheesey and pretty good. -Yuca Fries: This was the first time trying this dish. The texture is like a steak french fry, very filling. It was pretty dang good. We were pleasantly surprised. The tortillas were corn and we received eight of them. They were rather delicious - fresh and of good quality. The salsas!! O wow! I have had salsas as I live in Austin and do like Mexican and Tex-Mex food. But this salsa was probably the best I have ever tried. One was green the other white (described as yellow in the menu). The green was a bit spicier but both were so flavorful and neither was too spicy we could not eat it. This was a very pleasant surprise and I would go back for the salsa alone. We did go through the drive thru so we did not see the inside of the place. The service was fast and friendly, the prices as expected. We are definitely fans and plan to return for sure!!!!! read more

This place is amazing!! We had it ordered to-go and I am so glad we did. I usually don't like chicken, but was willing to give this place a chance. The chicken was extremely flavorful and super moist. The seasonings they have on it pack a powerful flavor without overpowering the chicken. They have three sauces to pick from and I went with the spicy, because I love some heat. It had a kick to it, without it being too hot you wouldn't be able to eat it. For the sides I got the fried plantains and Mac n cheese. Y'all this Mac n cheese is what southern dreams are made of. It was super creamy and velvety. Long overdue review! Just went tonight as I was searching the area for a shorter drive thru line than everywhere else due to the crazy snow storm we just had- everyone is out hungry trying to get food. I'm so glad I came by. Even though I was there for a total of one and a half hours, and people who ordered before me got their food first, I really appreciate how hard they were working and doing their best to serve hungry folks. Nice friendly woman in the drive through I truly felt for her. The man in front of me got an attitude with her and yelled at her... upset me a lot. She was still so kind and gracious to me when I pulled up. Very sweet lady. The food was delicious. Hot and fresh, chicken is always great. The sides are amazing! The Mac and cheese is very good- better than any fast food place. Maybe neck and neck with Panera's mac. Mashed potatoes are fresh, buttery and yummy. Rice is great, everything is great. Tres leches was yummy and their chimichanga was delicious too. My only complaint about the chimichanga is my first few bites had several small bones in it. But it's ok I spit it out and devoured that thing lol. Thank y'all for working tirelessly to feed hungry Texans through this tough time. You guys deserve recognition and nice tips! read more

His tasted similar to a filipino dish. Servers were nice and attentive. Prices are a bit steep for the amount of food they give you, but it could just be the area they're in. Next time we come, I would like to try their ceviche! Overall, it was a good restaurant. Parking can be a bit tough since parking spaces are tight and there's also a boiling crab in the same plaza; people can definitely park better too.

We did want to try their ceviche, but they are using tilapia as their fish. Quality Seafood is not too far away, and I'm sure that they could offer a better-tasting white fish than plain ole tilapia. We split one of their house specials, the Bandeja Paisa Tipica. This is a traditional Colombian dish, and it is a meat lover's dream served on an oversized platter. Our platter arrived with a chorizo link, beef sirloin, rice, red beans with pork, a huge fried chicharrón, an arepa, a sweet plantain, a slice of avocado (well, there's the only healthy portion), and a fried egg on top. We struggled to eat about 70% of this feast. It's going to take a few visits to the gym to work off this lunch. Dis & Dat: Parking is a breeze as they have their own parking lot. They do offer a happy hour that begins at 3 PM. A definite 4-plus star experience.

I started with the Margarita on the rocks from the happy hour menu. It was made from scratch with tequila, triple sec, fresh lime, and cane sugar. I added mango flavor and tajin. The event ordered the Tropical Ceviche for the table with fresh fish cured in lime, with cilantro, avocado and onions. It was served with plantain chips. The flavors in this ceviche were so balanced and light. I was blown away on how much I enjoyed this. For my entree, I ordered Lechón Asado the most traditional Cuban dish. It is pulled pork marinated with Cuban Mojo criollo and slowly oven roasted. It was served with your choice of beans, rice and plantain. I went with the black beans, white rice and Yucca con Mojo. You can taste the citrus, garlic, and slow-roasted depth in every bite. It was juicy without being heavy and felt authentically prepared. The portion was generous, and everything on the plate complemented the pork beautifully. It felt comforting, well balanced, and thoughtfully executed. I did have an issue with slow service as far as receiving my food and one margarita I ordered was never delivered and I had to follow up on. Also my food was added to another person's check instead of on a separate check. However, these issues can be expected with a large event. It was a great location to host an event. If you're craving real Cuban flavors, Cuba 512 is a great choice.

Went with a friend and based on the reviews I was very excited to try this place out. After placing our orders the woman at the register told us she would bring our food to us. Almost a half hour later we finally went to ask again and she admitted she forgot about us(there was only one other person in the restaurant at the time so forgetting about 2 of the 3 patrons in the entire place was bizzare to me but whatever). A few minutes later our food came out but was missing our plantains as well as the smoothie my friend had ordered. A different lady assured us they were on their way out. We proceeded to start eating (a process I struggled with I got the chicken chimichanga and kept finding large bones and gristle that I had to spit out) and finished out food and the other parts of our order still hadn't arrived. We waited about 10 more minutes and then finally went back and asked. They had *again* forgotten (by this point it was literally just us in the whole place. How exactly does one forget about your only customers) and then argued with my friend that she hadn't ordered a smoothie (until she opened her purse and got her receipt out of her wallet to prove she had). I see all of the good reviews on here and I can't believe that this experience is even the same place they are describing. What a complete disappointment. read more

My fave chicken and my fave place, the service is always amazing and the staff is super friendly! AND THE FOOD ... I can't say that there is anything wrong with it bc it's not true. The chicken is cooked to perfection and all the sides are delicious. They also offer a great selection of freshly and naturally made fruit juices. My favorite is the passion fruit one it's better than any soda. The restaurant has a super homie feeling and they play awesome music. Point being, I love this place and I have literally taken almost all of my family to eat here, even though it is on the complete opposite side of town from where I live. It's worth the drive! read more

Inka Chicken is a great place to eat. I have never eaten the south American chicken before. We ordered the Inka Chicken bowl which included corn, black beans, fried plantains, fried chicken, yucca fries along with the spicy sauce. Fried yucca, and homemade sauces were great together with the chicken. The staff here was so polite, decribed me all of the things that I was able to eat. We discussed how the chicken has been prepared and why it's so good and tasty. Great value for money, great place. The food was healthy which is why I would recommend this place. I've never had Peruvian food before, so I knew I had to try Inka Chicken. The chicken here is amazing. Marinated over 24 hours and slow cooked over charcoal and wood. Full of flavor. They also pride themselves on being hormone free and MSG/preservative free. As for the sides, I tried a couple of them. From left to right I got the yuca (potato root), fried plantain, cilantro-lime rice, and roasted corn. All great choices! Food came out fast and the service was great. I definitely recommend you guys come give them a try. Huge portions and great price. read more

This is fast food style casual restaurant which serves grilled chicken as it's specialty, the chicken had the right flavors for the most part and was moist. The sides if you order separately are all prepared in advance. The sauces, 4 types are moderate to low quality at best, the best sauce being the spicy, the others were too watered down and salty. Cannot compare to El Pollo Rico which is similar but hands down a lot more tastier, fresh and good quality. A one time visit restaurant. read more

The food is impressively amazing and taste very fresh. The corn is so good, I want the recipe to make myself at home. The Mac and cheese is very creamy and so is the medium salsa. The chicken easily slips off the bone. The rice has a rich flavor. The last thing to expect from here is dullness. I'd highly recommend this place to anybody and plan to. Don't let the location fool you, it could be in downtown Austin, this place has legit Peruvian food and their rice and beans are dynamite! They always have fresh vegetables and exceptional seasoning to their meats. Their atmosphere is very lunch friendly and unassuming. I recommend this place for any chicken lovers and especially those looking for a more flavorful impact. read more

There its nothing average about Inka Chicken and I've never been disappointed here. As far as I know, it's the only Peruvian I had the Chicken Sandwich & Steak Fries. Best chicken sandwich ever because they use freshly pulled, charcoal- fired rotisserie chicken, not a patty. Rob had the quarter-chicken with black beans, cilantro rice & hominy salad. In Europe a restaurant serving specialty, tasty and well cooked fried chicken is hard to come by. Inka Chicken is definitely recommended if you are looking for quality meal going hand in with quantity. Small portion of starter on the house with a spicy sauce. Followed by main course which includes fries on the side. read more

The food at Inka was good. The barbequed chicken was good. I also ordered the tostones. They offered their's with lots of toppings on top. It was good. I liked the food but it's not something I want to eat all the time. I just heard a lot of good things about them and thought I would try it out. read more

Really good chicken. I get sucked in the door by the smell when I drive by. Seriously. It's rotisserie style chicken. Definitely worth your time. Excellent sides as well. Pretty quick service as well. Fast food dining room setup but the chicken does not taste fast food. read more

I love this place! The chicken is so good and all the sauces are as well. Its a good option for grabbing something quick for the family if cooking isn't an option. The plantains are really good and so is the macaroni and cilantro rice. All around really tasty! read more

Amazing... Get extra sauces. The only meat they offer is chicken. But holy cow, do they know how to spice it up and cook it right! Best chicken I've EVER had! I didn't care for the inca cola, tastes like your chewing bubble gum while drinking a cream soda. read more

They need to open when they say they open. Their hours say open at 11am and yet they don't. Stood out waiting for 15 minutes for they to open and finally left for uncertainty on when that would be. read more

The chicken had no sauce and I must say, this is some good stuff! I had a chicken meal with veggies. The portions are very large and you will get your money's worth. Very delicious, I was amazed. read more
