Review is solely based on food as I ordered takeout. The price is absolutely abysmal for the portion you get. I got the beef saltado ($25) which barely had any tomatoes in it. French fries and beef were dry. Would not get again.

Good food, great service, nice ambiance. Lomo Saltado with the tender (I think that's what they called it) cut was delicious. Side of plantains to go with the meal and a glass Cabernet was perfect.

We went for lunch and the shrimp soltado did not disappoint. There was plenty of meat to veggie/fries ratio. The aji sauce to go with the complimentary basket of bread is hard to stop your hand from eating. You get two baskets per table and extra is $3.50. This dish is a perfect blend of spice and flavor. The side of rice compliments the dish and adding that aji sauce to every bite is unbunbelievable.

Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the OC location or going to the theater stop in and enjoy this beautiful amazing restaurant and delicious food authentically from Peru and Lima. You gotta taste it great location safe parking safe all lit it up. The service was great. must stop in and try the food. The green sauce is delicious.

Absolutely love this Peruvian spot across from South Coast Plaza. They have a large menu, plenty of seating, and friendly staff. I've tried several dishes from them and have been happy with everything I've ordered. The appetizers here are definitely fun to share and they have some really tasty ones like their fried chicken and this potato/shrimp/vegetable layered one. Food does take awhile to get to your table.

The empanadas were a great starter. We got one beef and one spinach and loved both. The Filet Mignon Saltado was excellent. They initially accidentally gave us just the regular beef and it was a noticeable difference once they fixed the order and brought out the filet mignon. Delicious! We were happy to see that they have Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc wine from New Zealand!

Delicious Peruvian dishes, with very traditional style decor, but also a modern twist. The fried rice is my favorite to go with any meal. There's lots of seafood items, so if you're a fan, this is a great spot. I like to start with the fried yucca appetizer. You pretty much can't go wrong with whatever you choose.

Went on a Sunday for late lunch. Food tasted really good, however, my dish (Arroz con Mariscos) was lukewarm. My friend ordered the Chaufa Combinado which looked like it came fresh out from the pan. I could see the steam coming out when she was mixing her food. Each order can be shared by two people. The bread also seemed old and not warm. Our drinks (Chica pisco) also tasted good and sweet, but it seemed like there was no alcohol in it. Service was fast and the place is clean.

Lomo Saltado, Tallarin Verde, side of yuca

Came in on this lovely Sunday night. Our server was very sweet. We ordered the beef empanadas (amazing), the Lomo Saltado, and the Tallarin Verde with chicken. The green sauce was delicioussssss. My dish was the Tallarin and I was very impressed. I have a favorite spot for Tallarin in Cerritos but this one might be my new favorite. The pasta was perfectly al dente, nice bounce. The sauce was rich and decadent. Creamy but also a lot of flavor coming through. The whole time we felt very taken care of. Staff were refilling drinks and bread. Very attentive staff. 10/10

Due to Peruvian food crave on the way home from work, I searched for the closest restaurant and this place popped up so I decided to give it a try. It would have been nice to dine in for the full experience but I went with to-go option and postponed for next time. This place had unique Peruvian decorations that entertained me while I was waiting for someone to help me with the order. The sofa at the entrance was a nice touch to the coziness as well. When the server came with the menu as soon as I told her that I would like to to-go the foods, she asked if it was my first time at the restaurant and then recommended what she likes, which was helpful deciding the order. She was very polite and friendly. Since it's my first time visiting this place, I went with the usuals, which was Arroz Con Mariscos (Peruvian paella,) Lomo Saltado (Seasoned beef sauteed with onions, tomatoes, cilantro, French fries, soy sauce and garlic served with rice,) and Tallarines Verdes with Shrimp (shrimps served on a bed of spinach and basil cream sauce with spaghetti and parmesan cheese.) All three dishes were tasty and had great portions so I was satisfied with their foods.

This Inka Mama's is my favorite Peruvian restaurant so far. Everything I have ordered, has all been delicious and very tasty. I have tried the: - Tallarin Verde Con Pollo (must order) - Onions and Lime Juice (must order, love eating this with the green sauce and bread) - Spinach & Cheese Empanadas (must order) - Macho Fish - Chicharron De Pollo - Plantains (must order) - Arroz Con Mariscos - Lomo Saltado - Aguadito De Pollo (must order) - Drink: Chica Morada (must order, it tastes like a Jamaica Christmas beverage lol) I really look at a Peruvian restaurant based on the Tallarin Verde Con Pollo, it's my favorite Peruvian dish of all time and this place has my favorite. It is not dry, spaghetti noodles are used, has lots of spinach and basil flavor, the fried chicken is cooked perfectly, and I love eating it with the green sauce and the onions in lime juice. Inka Mama's is my go-to Peruvian Restaurant. Thank you Inka Mama's!

    Cabrito norteño

Randomly saw this place mentioned on reddit so I had to check it out. I saw a lot of pictures of the "causa", so I had to try that out ("shrimp causa"). Also ordered the "cabrito norteño" and "ajiaco de mariscos". It was my first time trying Peruvian food, but it was a great introduction because everything was so delicious. While I was extremely happy with everything I ordered (the causa really is a must-try!), I'll be honest and also say that for its price, the ajiaco de mariscos was just okay. A bit pricey for what it had to offer (everything else was great though!). The lamb meat from the cabrito norteño was fall-off-the-bone levels of tender, for instance.

We are regulars at the diamond jamboree location so we knew what we wanted before we even walked in the door (2lbs head off shrimp kickin style, mild spice, add 3 corn and 3 potatoes). We also asked for gloves. The waitress did not repeat our order (this will be important later). The food came but they had forgotten the gloves which was no problem until we had been sitting there locking eyes with all the servers walking past us for 10 mins until I stood up and stopped one of them to ask for gloves. This wasn't ideal and then we realized that the order was also wrong as our sauce was clearly not kickin style sauce. The shrimp and corn were good despite our sauce being wrong. The potatoes were kind of hard and undercooked. However the ambiance was lively and I was very happy to have the World Cup games on the tvs. They dropped off the receipt and did not inform us we had to walk up to the front to pay as we sat there waiting for them to come charge us so we could leave. A mention of payment method would have been nice. Overall 3/5 we had a good time but these are things the diamond jamboree location hasn't errored on once in many trips.

We saw how he was with other tables and he was just as pleasing with others. Their menu size is perfect. They have a little bit of everything but not a huge selection that makes it hard to decide. For drinks we got the REFILLABLE lychee lemonade which was amazing! There were 2 pieces of lychees in the drink at the start. We also got the Ube Beer which my bf loved. Slightly sweet light flavor "In between a beer and cider if order again". We ordered the calamari, chicken wings (Parmesan that came with garlic), hamachi tostada, ribeye garlic noodles, shrimp and pork wontons (steamed) and the seasonal special scallops. The food was amazing!!! The calamari was pretty average, but had a good portion size!! We ordered 2 hamachi tostadas because they were so good. The tuna was fresh, the sauces were amazing, and the crunch of the tostada was amazing! Highly recommend! The garlic noodles were an 8/10. Steak was good and the noodles were a good portion. Chicken wings were very flavorful and the parm/garlic made it. Highly recommend! The wontons were also an 8/10. Really good flavor/sauce in the dish also recommended. The scallops were memorable. They were on the special menu and it was trulyyyy so delicious and just as fresh as the tostada. I hope they still have it cause you need to try it and the flavors. We got the picanha fried rice, filet Mignon lomo saltado, beef and mushroom fried rice, and shrimp garlic noodles. Picanha Fried Rice (4/5) - The picanha was cooked perfectly and paired really nice with the fried rice. The green sauce definitely complimented the dish overall but I think there could've been a little more seasoning added to the fried rice overall. It was missing some salt or spice (which you can ask for on the side). Beef and Mushroom Rice (3.5/5) - This was a tasty and classic dish but I would suggest getting other dishes. Portion was great though! Shrimp Garlic Noodles (4/5) - The noodles were great, you can really taste the garlic in them but the Parmesan was a little overpowering personally. I wish they used unpeeled shrimp since it caused a little bit of a mess with using hands. The overall dish was good but was missing a little bit of flavor. Definitely tasted better asking for chili oil and their spicy sauce to mix in with it. Filet Mignon Lomo Saltado (4.5/5) - This is one of my favorite dishes at any restaurant so I had to get it here. The seasoning was perfect on the fries, steak, and onions (there was a little too much salt) and all paired well with the rice. Service was great, the restaurant was really clean. Will be back!

We took advantage of the Friends and Family menu they provide on Mondays Only from 5:00 to closing. We sat at the beautiful bar and were watched over by Jacob. The wife had some special non-alcoholic drink that was very pretty and tasted great. I went with the VACA Tonic, an icy concoction made with gin. It was super refreshing and a nice way to start. This menu has selected tapas items that range in price from $8 to $19. We ordered the Pan Con Tomate ($8) which comes with sliced toasted bread slices, tomato pulp, a delicious olive oil and a side of sea salt. You take a piece of toast, squirt some of the olive oil on top, then pour on the tomato pulp. Light, tasty and delicious. Next up, the Patatas Bravas ($9). Perfectly roasted spicy potato cubes, slathered with tomato sauce and a garlic aioli. WOW! So simple yet so good. I licked the plate clean. Next up, the Bikini Sandwich ($9). Two small perfectly toasted cheesy sandwich wedges that have Iberico ham, manchego cheese and a hint of truffles. It was really delicious and the special ham was the star of the show. These are great starting items, yet surprisingly filling. I couldn't stop there though and wanted to order some of their famous paella. I decided on the Paella De Carne ($53). This is a meat paella with pork belly, chorizo, blood sausage, duck confit (a leg & thigh), beef cheek, with bomba rice and a garlic aioli. You have to wait about 20 minutes for them to make it but it's worth the wait. It was perfectly cooked and awash in flavor. The special paella pan they prepare the dish in looked well seasoned and I wished I could have taken it home. The menu is extensive with lots of choices to accommodate any palate. The restaurant is beautiful and has a front and back patio seating. If you have a choice, sit on the back patio.
