Everything is great here. From the food to the service! The pozole and menudo was delicious. Definitely will come back!

Let's be honest: when you come here, you are paying a premium for the view and the atmosphere. The food itself was actually really good. We tried the new crab taquitos on the menu, which were excellent, and the Taste of Las Brisas platter gives you a really great variety of flavors However, the experience was dragged down by the service and some major overpricing. They will ask if you want "sparkling or still" water when you sit down, and if you say still, they'll bring out a bottle and slap a ridiculous $13 charge on your tab without warning. On top of that, the virgin mojito was awful. Way too acidic to even enjoy. The service also felt more like a checklist than actual hospitality. Within literally two minutes of our food hitting the table, we were asked four different times if everything was good. It's incredibly disruptive; there is a fine line between being attentive and just hovering over us to check a box as they roam the floor. Just let me sit back and actually enjoy my dinner. A dinner for two here easily crosses the $200 mark. While the view is stunning and the food hits the mark, the sneaky upcharges and frustratingly disruptive service mean we probably won't be back. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would I came here with my mom on may 10 for mother's day, while we were eating the tv screen fell ontop of us none of the staff came and helped they chose to ignore us, we told 3 of the staff and all of them just said sorry but didn't do anything nor did they chose to say anything I can't believe we were ignored, at the end my mom went up to the front and talked to them but all they said was sorry and all they could do is offer us free food but we just ended up leaving because they didn't seem to care we are never coming back to this dump after so many years of being regulars and family friends with the old owner we were treated like this shame on this restaurant, on the side note when the tv screen fell on us it injured my hand and glass shards fell all over our food and leaving behind difficulty to take of peices of glass on us. read more

I am confused how yelp peeps confused the location or maybe it is the yelp software program that got sloppy. I dunno but after reading the last two recent reviews I was hopeful. It was a big let down because as I am walking in the server/cashier was to busy with a friend conversing about their day. The server appeared challenged to notice my presence. I decided to sit down as I was starving and the server just over all was emotionally removed. However with her locals she was super chatty and friendly. She even cracked a coke joke (or coca-cola?)as she was enjoying herself with her locals. I was bummed to noticed that the tomato (boring) sour, gone bad salsa was the best she can offer. I asked her politely with a smile, for something more spicy. That took for ever. You see where this story is going? Over all the service was sour and she took to long, just to serve me a carne asada burrito. After my refreshing pineapple "agua fresca" that by the way it, was delicious. It was to late for me to enjoy my burrito with "chile de molcajete" They have a lot of potential but they have their favorites. Unfortunately I looked wrong or appeared to be other to them but not latinx. I am not sure but with the abundance of other local Mexican places to eat. I honestly do not see myself returning or recommending. I ate only half of the burrito because I was irritated and the bad customer service was really uncalled for. Showing favoritism is bad customer service. So if you are not a local and you are starving I do not recommend it. The beans on my burrito were good but the meat had a lot of gristle. It was a sad experience bcs I waisted a total of $12.35 The agua fresca was pretty good and the beans and that was about it. Very sour service. Not friendly. I gave this restaurant 5 stars because our service and waiter were so great! Shoutout to Javier- he is so personable and starts great conversations. He hooked us up with free chips and guacamole for the occasion we were celebrating. I got their veggie salad (it was small chopped up cucumbers, avocado, and some cheese and these long croutons on top) It was really refreshing and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Javier is so great he was going to give me a free dessert too, but we were way to full for that. We even talked with the owner(?) of the place and he's such a friendly dude. Views are great and the service was great. Only thing is that the hosts at the front seemed a little condescending when we were talking to them but that doesn't really matter! read more

We came here today for father's day. The wait for food was long but it was definitely worth it because the food was all delicious. Everyone enjoyed their plates which included the fish soup, chicken with red mole, mojarra a la diabla, and mojarra ranchera. They served us chips and salsa and refried beans while we waited. We anticipated there'd be a longer wait today because of the holiday so we came before we were too hungry. The handmade tortillas were very yummy! Definitely would recommend this restaurant if you want authentic Mexican food and really good seafood dishes. The parking lot is small and very tight here so I recommend street parking to avoid going into the small parking lot when it is busy. They currently have outdoor dining as well under a tent. This was hands down the most disgusting Mexican slop that I have every attempted to eat. The website did not work. So, I blew half my lunch hour waiting. No, this is not the Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. It's Santa Ana. And if you're not Hispanic, you will likely be the only non-Hispanic in the place (unless I'm there!). Which means you will be getting food that Mexicans like and eat (the restaurant has been here a couple of decades). The menu is in English and Spanish, and the servers do speak Ingles, so not to worry. Order the carne asada plate, and you get whole pieces of meat that you cut up or rip apart and eat with the hand-made corn tortillas that you'll receive in a red tortilla server. (You can see the lady making the tortillas in the kitchen.) Comes with beans, rice and something they think is a salad. The Tacos Las Brisas are 3 deep fried fish tacos topped with shredded lettuce, tomato and avocado. Yum. Or order a whole deep fried red snapper. Head. Tail. Eyes. My daughter loves this and picks the bones clean. I love the shrimp cocktail, too. Tons of shrimp. There's usually a daily special and some kind of soup available. Of course, there are enchiladas and tacos and chile rellenos (usually served in a broth unless you ask otherwise) and shrimp 4-ways, and so on. But if you want a real experience, order the molcajete. Insane. You will be served chicken, carne asada, chorizo, nopales, grilled green onions, cheese, whole jalapeños and other tidbits in a huge, smoking hot stone mortar. Along with your tortillas, this is a meal for 2 or 3. Just dig in. Mexican beers and real Mexican sodas available. There also are usually a couple of fresh aguas served right out of a bucket on the front counter. Maybe papaya or tamarind. Good stuff. read more

So we decided to stop by we heard this place was good. As soon has we walked in we were welcomed by a rude female teenager. This place seems to be a family based restaurant. The Mom who is the waitress was doing her best to take care all the tables as her rude teen and son were seating in a booth. The food was favorless and the 7 mares was from the freezer to the table you can taste the freezer burn. The cocktail I had was to sweet and the crab was hard. Lately a coworker and I have been enjoying what we call The Holy Trinity at Las Brisas: small shrimp cocktail, crunchy fish tacos, and a cahuama (a chilled large beer and the glass has a chili salt rim). This has been the best meal to wind down after a crazy day at work. The parking is a bit of a pain and at times the tvs are loud but after a while the beer makes everything chill out. Saturday morning I had to get my Pozole fix. My usual spot had a long wait time, so I decided to search deeper. I came across this place and was very glad I did. Don't let the ghetto appearance of the small plaza fool ya! They have some food that will knock your socks off. Besides , if you live here or around here you should be used to that by now preppy. I knew what I wanted going in so of course made it much easier. Normally they have pozole blanco,rojo, and Verde, which is cool cuz other places only have one of the three. It is worth mentioning that I am a big eater and before my meal came out, I was contemplating the appetizers too . Thankfully , my pozole came at the right time. Had I ordered more it would have been a man vs Food challenge. I don't get down like that haha. I could have eaten the pozole by itself, it was that good . To make matters better , it was accompanied by the chicharron, fried cheese filled taquitos , and a dry cheese filled chile relleno. I was in pozole heaven. Choose your spice . I was teary eyed cuz I like the burn, by choice. Anyway , I love the pozole, I will come back again. I haven't tried other dishes , therefore can't comment.
